Easy access from the street. Good food, great prices, great variety. I really like this location because it's not as crowded as the one by the airport or the one in cerritos. I really do like the food at the one in Cerritos but parking is very hectic there. 4.5 stars food, 5 stars service. I accidentally checked-in to the Long Beach location when I went to the Cerritos location, but there was no way I was aware of to "undo" the check-in. Thus, when I was getting a flat tire repaired in Downtown Long Beach, I decided to walk over and try this location (I believe there is another one near LBX too). This location is smaller and located in the ground floor of a corner building, but it is downtown Long Beach after all. There were still a number of outdoor tables. It was less lively on a Saturday lunch, but what stood out to me was the outstanding service. All the servers were friendly and checked on me multiple times, including people other than my waiter. I ordered the flat iron steak kabob meal with avocado romaine salad and brown rice, with lemonade to drink plus a cup of chicken vegetable soup. I loved that the soup was piping hot and came served with sourdough bread. The steak was also tasty, even if it was slightly overcooked (I asked for medium). Good place for lunch and hide out from the rain! They were short on staff and advised us that the food will take them longer than normal, which we appreciate that and we weren't in a hurry. There was only a table when we went in, but by the time we ordered the place was full of people. Wasn't sure at first if it was because of the food, the location, or because the rain suddenly started pouring. I think it's the food. My boyfriend ordered the chicken pesto sandwich, which he wasn't too impressed with. I ordered the charbroiled chicken kabob and the plate was enormous! If we knew, we could've shared. I had it with bulghar instead of basmati rice and a greek salad. The chicken was very very flavorful and juicy. Paired very well with the vegetables. I've only done takeout here. Overall a solid falafel sandwich. Portion size is big and prices are very reasonable. Hummus is good. Pita is a little dry. The falafel itself is pretty tasty, but if you do takeout, would warm them up a bit before eating since I think they taste much better hot. What an amazing comfortable place to fine. A friend took me here, she's been here before and I was craving something Mediterranean and let me tell you this is definitely the place to go. She ordered lamb fjr me and she had steak. Oh it was amazing and the service was great. The server checked on us after he placed the meal on the table which is a big plus to me and told him all was good. Yes it was a Friday and we actually sat for over an hour and a half end enjoyed great conversation and food. When we finished we shared an ice cream and went on our merry way. I ordered from Panini Kabob Grill through Postmates and unfortunately my family-size Mediterranean salad was missing its dressing. If you've ever had their salad, you know the dressing is what makes it, it's not just any dressing, it's absolutely delicious, and without it, the salad just isn't the same. I called the restaurant and spoke with the General Manager, Kari, who was amazing. She listened, understood how important it was, and really went out of her way to make things right. Even though I had to drive over to pick up the dressing, she made it worth it by providing excellent customer service and even including a complimentary appetizer as a gesture of goodwill. Because of Kari's professionalism and kindness, I'm giving Panini Kabob Grill a full 5 stars. I visit here a few times a week. You can feel great for eating here since the food is prepared lighter and healthier, like you would at home if you could. Not at all like a typical restaurant with heavy meals. Also, the prices are reasonable for the quality and the portion size. We ordered a family dish and replaced the chicken kabob with six beef kobedeh. The meat was a kind of beat-up black meat that looked extremely weird. The ingredients were onion and filler. It absolutely did not taste like a kebob, and the smell was bad. They cut the number of servers, and the whole restaurant has one server. You need to wait until she has a chance to come to your table. The Mediterranean salad did not have dressing, and I asked for it for thirty minutes to get it. The atmosphere was good even though most tables were not cleaned until the server got a chance to clean up. It doesn't look perfect when you walk into a restaurant. read more

I usually order the family combo and add extra A La carte KABOBS so that there is a lot of variety for everyone to sample each type of meat. Everyone loved the food last night except we had an appetizer missing tzatziki! I called this morning to let the GM know. Rafael was gracious and accommodating and offered the appetizer or one of their kabob meals. I was impressed with the willingness to correct last night's order. STEPH JUDGMENT: Good food and good value, but a bit of a wait during peak times. I was in the area for jury duty and this place struck my fancy. Apparently a lot of other people's too--it was busy! I got the falafel wrap; you get a choice of salad or soup and I got the lentil soup. I sat out on the patio and it was a very warm day, but the awnings managed to keep things bearable. The wrap was very tasty and huge--they helpfully bring it to you cut in half. The soup was very good also; I finished that and the hummus but barely half of my wrap and ended up getting it to go (was still pretty good the next day!). I've been dining here for years but always take-out. My first dine-in today. I love their food options and today's chicken pesto panini did not disappoint. Their portions are huge and reasonably priced. My meal was essentially for two. Fresh salad and a crunchy sandwich that wasn't soggy even though it was filled with pesto. There is patio seating for the summer days. Right across from the police station so you can eat in peace but watch out for the homeless every once in a while. I also love that they use quality antibiotic & hormone free chicken. The only thing is the service was slow when we went (around 12:30pm on a Friday). My group of 4 waited quite a while for our food and also waited a while for the check. (We were also on a time crunch to get back to work on time.) Do check your order if you get anything to-go, as they had neglected to give me one of my dishes and I had to drive back to get it.
