Once again, this place does not disappoint! The outside exterior does not match the inside. It is absolutely gorgeous. We ordered the fried rice, eggplant with chicken and the chicken sauté it was delicious! Everything we had I could not stop eating. We had great service and they were very attentive. Would have to say this is one of my most favorite Thai restaurant.

This used to be one of my favorite Thai restaurants, but the quality has gone down drastically. I'm not sure if they changed chefs or owners, but the food isn't what it used to be. The soups had an overly strong lemongrass taste. The noodles were all overcooked too. They don't serve as much veggies in the dishes either.

Stopped by this Thai spot for dinner and we liked it. It's a bit small downstairs, but they've got more seating upstairs for bigger groups. We came during a non-peak hour and got seated right away, but the place still filled up pretty quickly. We kicked things off with the Panvimarn Delight, which is a sampler with egg rolls, satay, money bags, and fried wontons. Comes with dips and a little cucumber salad on the side, it is a perfect starter if you want to try a bit of everything. For mains, the papaya salad was super fresh and had that nice balance of sweet, tangy, and a little kick. It helped cut through the heavier dishes. The soft shell crab curry was definitely a highlight. It's rich, flavorful, and just really satisfying. Also didn't expect to like the crispy fish with mango salad as much as I did, but it was really good. The fish was crispy, the sauce had that tangy kick, and no fishy taste at all. Service was good. Parking is a little limited right by the back entrance of the restaurant, but there seems to be more parking just a few steps away, so it wasn't too bad.

This is our second time at this restaurant and the food were delicious. A little bit on the sweet side but overall tasted good. The portions are generous and good quality. The rice overall are harder then expected for what the Thai Jasmin rice texture would be like. The service was great. Attentive, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is spacious. The decorations are nice and well thoughout. The restrroms are also clean. The reason for the 4 stars was the mango and sticky rice. As a Thai customer, the recipe of the sticky rice is not what you would expect ordering this seasonal dessert. They used what they called condensed coconut milk, the sticky rice is clear looking and tasted like coconut water with sugar syrup. The mango is good. We didn't have more than two bites. Long story short, the server offered to take the item off our bill. It is ultimately up to how the restaurant wants to make the dessert to offer to their customers. Everyone has our own experience and will have to decide for ourselves whether or not we like what offered to us. If you expected a traditional Thai Mango Sticky rice, I would not recommend ordering them. But if you are fine with trying different way of how to make sticky rice which is on the sweet sweet side. Then you might like them. Overall, the restaurant is good with a large menu. Worth visiting.

Panvimarn Thai is one of my go-to Thai restaurants within Cerritos-Long Beach radius. Its one of the fancier Thai restaurants around that consistently delivers ! The decor is nicely dine with a very striking Buddha statue and a very artistic wall greeting the guests. Always love everything we get here - Hot Stuff , Green Curry , Pad See Eew are our favorites but yes , almost everything we've had here has been great. Also we are never done with our meal without ending it with their Mango Sticky Rice - which is awesome. Highly Recommended !

Panvimarn is a Thai food staple in the LB area serving up authentic and delicious food. This spot is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a dimly lit interior with seating options upstairs or downstairs. For their menu, they have all the Thai staples and more. Wifey and I stopped by with the family and we got a spread of a bunch of items including the Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, Golden Fried Rice, Money Bags, and more. Everything that we had was delicious and flavorful. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. You really cannot go wrong with anything you order here. There is a reason why this spot has over 2,000+ positive reviews!

The ambiance in here is so cute I love it , it's casual but with a hint of lux , but dark and sexy . Service was great from the start. The food was also very tasty. Recommend the pad Thai !

I've been coming here for years and it's always been one of my go-to spots for Thai food. My all-time favorite dish is the Angel Wings--crispy chicken wings stuffed with ground pork, noodles, and veggies (kind of like an egg roll filling). They're packed with flavor and the cool cucumber sauce on the side balances it perfectly. Other dishes I really enjoy here are the papaya salad, pad thai, pad see ew, and crab fried rice. Most of the time, the food is spot-on, but tonight the pad see ew was noticeably saltier than usual, which was a little disappointing. The service is consistently good, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Just a heads-up--this place gets packed during dinner hours, so expect a wait if you're dining in. Overall, still one of my favorite spots and worth the visit, especially if you've never tried those Angel Wings!

Panvimarn might be my favorite Thai restaurant in Long Beach. If I lived closer to it, I'm certain I would eat it more often. I've been here countless times and I've never been disappointed. The service is always so kind and attentive, even when it's busy, and the food is always consistently good. This last time we tried their ribs for the first time randomly to step outside of our usual order and they were so good. Their cocktails are great too! The atmosphere is always so chill and comforting in ways. Defintely one of my favs.

Friend wanted Thai. Stopped in for a quick bite. Parking in the back is tight but we were able to find parking. Sat at the bar and the waitress assisted us after making her rounds. Ordered: Jungle Noodle (not spicy) Chicken pad Thai (please add mild spice and they accidentally forgot it) Chicken skewers (peanut sauce was bland) Moneybags (were FIYA ) Lychee fruit drink (female bar tender appeared from no where began making the drinks and squeezing fruit and I notice her nails were dirty, and the juice was dripping from here nails into my drink (scary!) Brüt champagne (pour straight into flit versus tilting glass and it fizzed all over in front of the manager although half of the drink was gone.. I didn't bother to say anything) Game was on and it wasn't packed. Our server was cool.

Excellent food and very flavorful .!Tried the soft shell crab curry for the first time . Quite delicious with lots of spices and textures . Had the sticky mango rice for dessert. Just perfect and not soggy. Service tip top. Very pretty Thai style design .

It was fabulous! I wrote a loooong review and apparently it got lost? Ugh. Good service, good atmosphere, delicious food, unique cocktails, but a bit spendy.

Leo beer. I never had this before, not bad.

We have now been living in Lakewood for a few years now and pass by here almost every day. We finally decided to try it and we are happy we did. The decor is very clean and nice and at first it appears to be fairly small. However, once you go upstairs, you realize it is quite large. The service is amazing and everyone is very friendly. I like the beer selection and also the option of ordering the tower. The food is very good. The appetizer combo was a great variety and good sized portions. I enjoyed the money bags most of all, but who doesn't love money? We also ordered the pineapple fried rice and the duck. We definitely will be back!

The security guard asked extremely inappropriate questions like "aren't you a lady?" and "what bathroom do you usually use?". Anytime my boyfriend responded, he yelled more and threatened to kick him out. This was a deeply upsetting situation. We were there for a friend's birthday and we left immediately after the incident. We definitely will NOT be returning to the Blind Donkey. We also suggest our queer and trans friends and community avoid this place too! The Blind Donkey needs to do better with educating and welcoming people of all genders. For good karaoke in a queer & trans friendly place, we recommend Silver Fox!

False Advertising and Total Failure of a "Speakeasy"…read more This place should not call itself a speakeasy. According to their website, they are strict about dress code, reservations, and no large parties. None of that was enforced. People arrived wearing sports clothes, tennis shoes, and flip-flops, and a group of more than 10 people was allowed in. That group was loud, drunk, and screaming, completely destroying any speakeasy ambiance. We had a reservation booked one week in advance for 2 tables of six, yet by 8:30 pm, we were told no food was available, despite the bar being almost empty. The water was already on the table when we arrived and tasted strongly of chlorine, with no ice. The waitress was clearly new, untrained, and unprepared. She did not know the menu, didn't know how to take an order properly, and provided no guidance whatsoever. There was one bartender Ricardo, who took over an hour to prepare cocktails and showed no sense of urgency or care. The dramatic cocktail descriptions sounded impressive, but the drinks did not match the descriptions at all. Because of the delays, we were never even able to properly toast or celebrate our friend. The charcuterie board took forever and arrived with an absurd amount of cheese and only six pieces of bread. To make things worse, part of the food we ordered never arrived at all. The live jazz band advertised and promised never showed up. When asked, the staff responded with: "I don't know, they were supposed to be here. I don't have their phone number." That level of disorganization is unacceptable. At the end of the night, we were shocked to receive a check close to $600 for two tables, despite each person only having one cocktail and shared food. The bartender, Ricardo, approached us and said: "Well, sorry, we really tried tonight! It wasn't the best, but we tried." Honestly, that comment made the experience even more frustrating. I can't imagine how bad it would have been if they hadn't "tried."That statement perfectly summarizes the problem -- trying is not enough when everything fails. I would not recommend this place for a speakeasy experience. This is not a speakeasy. It's a poorly run bar hiding behind a concept it does not deliver. Do not recommend.

Definitely worth it! The vibes are unmatched. It's a unique blend of "top notch cocktail crafting" and "beer and a hot pretzel after work." You can dress up, you can dress down, it's very 'just be yourself' which I love. I've literally had caviar AND hot dogs there in the same night at an event. They know how to blend high/low. Incredible knowledge and ingredients but not snooty patootie. Super inclusive and fun, with cool popups and events happening all the time. It's a full bar so you can get any cocktail you would normally order if you're keeping it simple, or beer, wine, boilermakers, etc. There's a span of offerings and price points, so something for everyone. It's clear the owners put a lot of thought and creativity into making their cocktails the centerpiece of the experience. That said, the execution didn't live up to the concept. The menu appears to rotate regularly, and while the drinks were certainly unique, most of the cocktails we tried were hit or miss. At roughly $22 per drink, I expected more balance and refinement. One cocktail started with flavors reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, but after the initial sip, the combination of bitters and fruit syrups created an unpleasant cough syrup like finish. We tried a mocktail as well, and it was mostly ice and soda water, with what seemed like a collection of syrups doing most of the heavy lifting. The drinks were creative, but many of the flavor profiles felt disjointed rather than intentional. The biggest issue, however, was the bar service and sanitation practices. I watched a bartender place a cucumber garnish into a glass using his bare hands, touching the entire garnish in the process. He then continued to take credit cards, cash, and other items before stuffing ice into additional drinks with his bare hands. Whether or not this technically violates health code standards, it certainly wasn't appetizing to watch and left a poor impression. Parking is another challenge. There is no dedicated parking, and unless you get lucky, expect to park several blocks away and walk. Overall, the atmosphere is a lot of fun and the cocktail menu is ambitious, but the drinks didn't justify the price point, and the sanitation concerns were hard to overlook. I wouldn't rush back, especially given the cost and parking difficulties.

Which made sense considering how well he knew how the drinks were made. He was attentive and checked on us often to make sure everything was going well. One thing that made him stand out was, he actually conversed with us rather than just asking if we needed anything and then leaving. The Old Fashioned was one of the smoothest and best I've probably ever had. My nephew ordered the Ube Painkiller after Nate described how it was made. I had a sip, and the ube flavor really came through without overpowering the drink and it was perfectly matched with the dark rum, which Nate said came from the Caribbean. The Brussels sprouts had a nice mix of tender and crispy pieces that gave additional texture. The calamari was tender and the pesto style sauce paired real good with it. The Thai curry sea bass was flavorful, flaky, and had the right amount of spice. The cioppino had a rich shellfish flavor in the broth and I appreciated that the tomato base didn't have such an acidic taste. We also shared the tomahawk, which was juicy, cooked perfectly, and had a sprinkle of coarse salt that really brought out the flavor. Overall, we had a great experience. Happy hour was happening which we took advantage of. It was 4.00 off appetizer, 2.00 off draft wine and beer. Also, they made sure that our little pup was well taken care of as well. Food wise, an order of the poke wrap. Nice chunks of ahi with a scoop of rice, lettuce, avocado and wasabi sauce. It was good but a little messy. As it would be with all of the lettuce wraps. The steamed mussels which is a must. The broth was delicious and served with two nice thick slices of toasted bread. Decent size mussels cooked deliciously in the broth. A must try. Lastly the calamari which was tossed with jalapeños. Both deep fried and quite tasty. Nice crunch to it but not overly cooked. That was also served with two dipping sauce. Everything was delicious. Towards the end of the meal, Melinda noticed that a bug was in my wine which she was very sweet about and made sure to take care of it. The simple little gesture was greatly appreciative. The whole experience was excellent. Everyone was the sweetest and friendliest. Will definitely be back.
