So good! I am visiting from out of state (grew up here) and I was so excited to have papa Gino's for the first time in 20 years! It's just as awesome as I remember. Everyone was friendly and our pizza came out nice and hot My mom still lives in eastham and my sister used to work in this very papa Gino's during the summer in HS back in the late 80's/ early 90's. The pizza itself was very bland and meh but the most shocking thing was our large pie wasn't even cut!! That never happened to me in my life lol We thought getting pizza was a good idea between kids sports on a rainy day in a parking lot. Ok, I'm kind of embarrassed to admit how much I love this place. I often avoid chain pizza and prefer to have something from a mom and pop shop. We had a bunch of Papa Gino's in the Albany, NY area when I was a kid and of course on Cape Cod. I have fond memories of having a 10th birthday party at one back home. The interior decor of this establishment has not changed at all over the last 20 years, but it seems kept up. I like the cute little paintings of New England throughout the restaurant. I love the crust on the pizza here, it has a really nice texture and flavor to it. The sauce is a bit sweeter, but I do like that. There is a little bit less cheese on the pies here, but the quality is good. They seem to have just the right amount of grease on the pizza, but nothing enough to make your stomach churn. I popped in on a weekday and it was fairly quiet. I opted for the lunch special of 2 slices of cheese and a medium soda for $5.99. They do have other items than pizza. I was waiting for a take out order yesterday and a doordash driver came in to pick up an order placed on the app. Apparently something was wrong with how the order was placed but I don't know what. Some tall guy behind the counter (manager maybe?) Was lashing out at the delivery driver about it. To the best of my recollection, this is how the conversation went: Tall Guy: You do this every time you come in here. You are supposed to be going to the courthouse. (My guess is that that is another location the order got sent to) Doordash: This is the second time I've been here. Tall Guy: Yeah, well you've got to stop. Doordash: I don't place the orders. I'm just a delivery driver. Tall Guy: Well, I don't work for doordash Throughout the whole encounter, Tall Guy's tone was incredibly hostile. If I'm being literary in my description, I could best describe it as a snarl. The text above does not fully capture the hostility of Tall Guy's tone but it was clear Tall Guy wanted to embarrass and shame Doordash. Beyond being completely inappropriate for a customer service worker to speak to anyone in that tone while on the clock, we are all just people trying to get by and Doordash did not deserve hostility for mistakes caused by the delivery app. Oh, and they forgot to put half sausage on our pizza. read more

I have tried to use the Papa Gino's delivery service twice. The first time the driver came and told me he gave my food to the wrong customer and there was nothing he could do. I have to take theirs. I called the store they told me they were closing I couldn't get a new order they would credit my credit card. I had to fight for two weeks to get my money back, I haven't tried it again giving them the benefit of the doubt I waited one hour I called the store very rude girl told me we have no driver. He said it's been sitting here. I cancel that order and ask for my money back. It's been over two weeks. Worst pizza ever. Stay away. We ordered a 10" gluten-free pizza with various toppings, including broccoli, onions, Feta, hamburger, etc. The pizza we got looked more like a cracker than a pizza, and had no topics at all. We called and they claimed that we had ordered a small gluten-free pizza with just tomatoes and cheese. We most certainly didn't - we both saw what I entered, and it wasn't just cheese and tomatoes. Very rude and unprofessional. I posted this once the next day. Was given an email to send my info and the email was a dud. Called the company only to get an answering machine. Never returned my call. I have always been a huge fan of Papa Gino's pizza and this is the location that I have patronized recently, having spent 15 summers working on the lower Cape. I also have to say I am a BIG fan of their style of large, thin crust pies that are at times borderline too greasy... In fact, growing up, Papa Gino's is the first kind of pizza that I remember eating (it was a favorite of relatives, and a bunch of kids growing up hard birthday parties at these locations too) so it's nostalgic for me. Specifically to the Orleans location, I have to say that they have a great management team. I run one of the local summer camps, and they will deliver large orders to us, even though we are just outside of the official "area." I also go regularly for lunch, and enjoy the 2 slice and a drink specials, the wings, penne, chicken and broccoli Alfredo, and the cheesy garlic bread sticks. Though I prefer D'Angelo for subs, the versions at PG's are solid too. I really hope corporate keeps this location going as they restructure... I have lived here in Wellfleet for just over a year now, I've come here to papa Gino's 3 times. The first time went really well, the cashier was friendly the food came fast and was fresh, tasted delicious. The second time our cashier wasn't friendly, wouldn't even make eye contact, food was good except my friend ordered the buffalo Mac n cheese and it's just Mac n cheese with chicken tenders thrown on top and buffalo sauce drizzled over it? Nothing at all like the picture and very sub par tasting. Service wasn't as fast either. The third time, we stood inline with no one in front of us for 5 minutes before someone took our order. They had 2 cooks on grill, 3 people over at the pizza station and our cashier and like I said NO ONE INFRONT OF US so it shouldn't have been 5 minutes waiting. We ordered our food, the cheese on top of my Alfredo was cold, I didn't get the breadsticks it comes with (papa Gino's was my first job 10years ago so I still know the basic operations and the menu). My friends fries were cold with his sandwich and my pizza slice came out 10 minutes later and was rubbery from sitting in a warmer too long. Supposed to be a 30 min delivery - after 40 min, I called, and was told it 'had to be out for delivery because I don't see the order'. My niece's love Papa Gino's pizza. We usually do take out but last Saturday, we went to eat at the restaurant. We ordered plain, everything pizza and buffalo wings. We got our buffalo wings but we found BROWN HAIR in it (we are Asian's, black hair). We did not eat any and brought it back to them and explained that we found hair. We weren't upset. We were just grossed out by it but female general manager did not apologize moreover she tells my sister that it's not her hair and shakes her head. She acted like we ate all the wings and told her we found hair. She acted like we were asking for free food so much so that my sister yells at her saying count the wings because we didn't eat any. She tells us that she shouldn't have come in to work today because she's sick. I told her she should have stayed home because many restaurants customers who gotten sick from restaurant employees for example Chipotle and Bartaco. She told us to GET OUT of her store. We were going just eat the pizza because my nieces were hungry and little one really wanted pizza but who could eat after so much insult from the general manager. We were hungry after a long day at the beach so we were looking for a place that delivered. The lady took our order (chicken and garlic pizza, and chicken tenders buffalo style) and about 40 minutes later the guy came to our hotel. He told us that they usually don't deliver to Eastham (which is where we were) so if we ordered from there again they won't come. That's fine, since we were flying out the next morning but it's weird that the lady who took the order didn't know that. In any case, an extra star to them for fulfilling our order anyway. The pizza was good - juicy tomatoes, tasty chicken and lots of garlic - but it was also really salty too. I woke up in the middle of the night wishing I had a gallon of water by my bed. The chicken was surprisingly good - the pieces were all different sizes which concerns me when it comes to cooking times, but none of the pieces were dry. I'm sad that there aren't many places that deliver (and even here they only deliver till 10 PM) but we lucked out with Papa Gino's last night. read more

We placed a takeout order from Papa Gino's (Orleans, MA) through Door Dash. We received a text from Door Dash instructing us to pick up our order. When we went inside to do that, they said a Door Dash delivery guy had already picked it up. We pointed out that we had ordered takeout (not delivery--and we had the receipt to prove it), and the manager on duty, Shawn, immediately became very belligerent and insisted that we don't understand how Door Dash works (uh, we use it multiple times a week). He called my husband "numb nuts." He told me to get out of his restaurant. He shouted the f-word at me multiple times. We are in absolute shock. We've never experienced or witnessed anything like this in our entire lives. When we told him we'd be contacting his employer, he said he didn't care because he doesn't need "this fucking job." I'm just...wow. Are we being punked? I'm aghast. Aside from being obviously terrible at customer service, Shawn is a pretty terrible human. Anyway, we got a refund from Door Dash and suggest you steer clear of this location of Papa Gino's, at least until they fire Shawn from the job he apparently does as a fun Saturday hobby. read more

We have a second home in the area and have been going to this place for 10 years. Never a problem. Today, ordered take out pizza. We arrived and paid - the manager, Josh, said 'its coming out now -BUT it turned out the oven was not on so he had to put it in again. Not an apology AT ALL! He said come back in 10 minutes. We went grocery shopping and returned to find out that they had given away our pizza. Again, no apology, Josh offered us something to drink- he voided our order - We hope that we don't get charged. Ate there June 9th, 2018. It took a little longer to get a double bacon cheese burger with fries, and an Italian sub, but worth it. The burger was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. Fries were crispy, and my friend loved her Italian sub. The place was clean, and the staff was friendly and courteous. First time we've ever ate there but will come again to try other menu items. I'd give 5 stars except for the longer wait. Still I highly recommend if you want good food at reasonable prices. read more
