It was a great chance to explore other menu options. The Italian sandwich is good. It was loaded with meat, black olives, onions, banana peppers, lettuce, tomato and a tasty creamy Italian sauce. I chose coleslaw as my side and it was pretty decent. The sandwich was fulfilling. I was definitely satisfied and would order this again. The wings were disappointing. I chose the mango habanero flavor. The wings were cooked well and the presentation looked amazing. The sauce was great, but it tasted like the chicken wasn't cooked with any seasoning. It was like bland chicken with sauce poured over it. A little salt and pepper goes a long way. The blue cheese dressing was yummy though. My waiter was AWESOME! He was friendly, helpful and polite. He provided great service and I enjoyed his pleasant presence. I came after the lunch rush. It was a bit untidy inside and as I was sitting there they were slowly cleaning up the dining area. I will cut them a little slack. Overall a good visit and I left feeling full and mostly happy. The Italian sandwich is a YES! The wings are a NO for me. It was a great experience to try something new.

But after contacting Pete before coming in to inquire about safety (I'm old and single) upon my arrival, Pete was not available to greet me. I was there for over an hour and my server told him where I was seated. So prior to leaving I went to the bar. It was way less than full, and when i asked why he didn't want to come say hello, he made it a point to be rude to me. And he told me he didn't have time to stop by my table and say "hello", yet on the phone it was an entirely different vibe. Go figure... Oh, by the way, I'm a woman of color. I'm looking for a late night spot, with good eats and NICE people. I guess if I am depending on Pete, this ain't it!

As soon as someone left, the tables were immediately cleaned. The lady at the front was extremely friendly and helpful, with a kind smile. It was our first time there, so I took a while looking at the menu, but she kept reassuring me to take my time. We even met Vinny/Vinnie, and he was such a cool guy--he took the time to ask our names and thank us for coming in! It was overall a great experience. Although they didn't have the pizza I originally wanted to try, that's okay--it just gives us more reason to come back!
