I go to a lot of places in East Sacramento. I am rarely helped with kindness and real conversation. I was recommended the Tuscan chicken pizza which I had not tried before and it was delicious. The worker named Ruby was a highlight to my day. She had a smile even though I was indecisive at first. She didn't make me feel rushed even though a customer was standing behind me. Came on Saturday here to pick up the heart shaped pizza for a galentines party! They had a great deal, $16 for the heart shaped pizza and a tub of cookie dough, or $11 for just the pizza. We ordered online, it said 30 mins. I believe we got there a lil bit early too and they gave us the pizza pretty much right after we walked in. The girl with glasses working there was very sweet and apologized for us waiting but we really didn't wait at all, she also complemented my dress which was nice. I wish I got her name. They have lots of parking outside too which is a plus, definitely more of a grab and go spot, clean inside too. The pizza was great and the girls and gays at my galentines party loved it! Worst pizza I ever had, dry, not enough sauce, followed baking directions for baking, I used to love Papa Murphy's Pizza but my last pizza at the Folsom Blvd store was terrible, cardboard crust. Toppings looked they were placed on only part of the pizza huge skip area on the pizza. The tip which is automatically added to your final price and you must delete the tip. I don't feel that everybody who is getting paid to work need a tip if they are just doing their job. I guess the workers get even if you don't tip. Goodbye Papa Murphy's read more

I ordered online for the soonest possible pickup (30 minutes). When I arrived (30 minutes after placing my order) to pickup my order I was asked to pay and after paying I was told my order had not been started. The employee stated their policy was not to make the pizzas until payment was received. Five minutes later a woman walked in, stated she pre-ordered, she then paid paid and was immediately handed her pre-made pizza. I had accidentally selected EBT and pay at pickup when checking out. I can only assume that is why my order was not prepared in advance while another customers was. I truly hope I am wrong and PM is not implementing such policies. read more

June, 10th, 2023 Normally im not one to run to a review site in order to convey the experience i had at a local pizza chain but my last experience at papa murphy's on folsom left much to be desired. I ordered online@ 5:30 i was quoted 30 minutes for one cheese pizza and cheese bread. I decided to show up a little early in case the store was busy, it was 5:52 and there was one customer at the register. i told the girls at the counter i was here for a pickup-- I gave them my name-- and told them im a little early im ok to wait for my intended pickup of 6:00. she said it will be started shortly. There were alot of tickets on the counter, ive worked in restaurants before, i get it. it seemed like they had trouble organizing the orders that were printed out for to-go or placed on the phone. these orders didnt seem to get made in the order they placed. after im in the store for about 12 minutes, a couple of girls come in and order almost exactly what i had ordered, over 30 minutes ago. very shortly after, the girls are given their order they made in store ahead of me and another lady who was previously waiting before these two. 6:17 rolls around and the girl asks what im waiting for again! im asked if i was there for another "name". when i corrected her, she became very obviously flustered because at this point ive been in the store for almost 30 minutes. I never gave the staff a hard time about it, i took my pizza and went on my way. you dont feel like a priority at this location. the last few times ive opted for on-line orders it seems as if my pizza isnt even on the ticket line @ my intended pick up time. the food is always good here, some of the staff need some training or extra help on the weekend. read more

It's hard to get too gushy over Papa Murphy's. I mean, pizza is pizza and this isn't the best pie I've ever had. But in "take and bake" terms, and when considering they are always friendly and fast, I highly recommend Papa Murphy's for an easy grab-and-go meal to feed the family. My go-to is a large thin crust double pepperoni. If you really like pepperoni, double is really your only choice. I'm also partial to their combo. They also have tubs of cookie dough for purchase and on a rare occasion one of those comes home with me as well. Pro Tip: Just discovered that any pizza is $12 on Tuesdays. Somehow it worked out that a large combination was a buck cheaper than a small using this math, so I went for it. read more

I came in this evening and placed my order in store. There was a few people ahead of me and the girl working told me it would be 15-20min. No problem! I went to save mart to grab some groceries. When I came back the store was so full you could barely walk around. My pizzas weren't ready and I was just fine with that. Apparently the gentleman, if you could call him that, that was ahead of me, well he was not ok with the speed in which the 3 workers were working. These young women had 3 grown MEN, in this case id much rather like to call them something else, yell at them for how long it was taking them. Mind you, these girls were going as FAST as humanly possible while keeping quality of their orders. But that didn't cut it. The girls all kept their composure and explained they would have their orders done quickly. I hope they come on yelp to try and leave a nasty review and see mine and feel like CLOWNS because if you can physically see how fast the girls are working and they arent just sitting around and you still aren't satisfied with their speed. MAKE YOUR OWN FOOD or just keep your nasty comments to yourself. Pizza was 9/10 only because they ran out of big pepperonis and those are my fave. read more

This is the only Papa Murphy's location I frequent, even though there is one closer to my home. Why do I drive all the way over here? Because they always get my pizza right and the staff is great. The location by my home puts on too much sauce, which makes a wet pizza. This location knows what they're doing and make it perfect every time. I have to agree that it isn't the best pie I've ever had, but for a take and bake (not frozen) pizza? It's pretty good. Where I have to commend them is the afternoon staff on 3-28-19. The two women working the shop were helpful when I inquired about a pie being food allergy friendly. Not only did they go out of their way to read the ingredients lists but also took the time to bring up a tool on their website showing what pizzas contain what ingredients that may be applicable to the food allergy sensitive. Take and bake pizza sounds so unappetizing to me. I never order it and I think it's because the earlier take and bake places were kind of gross-o. My roomie brought home a pizza from Papa Murphy's the other night and I have to admit that I was disappointed at first. I preheated the oven so when she got home, we popped it right in. One pro of take and bake is that you can monitor the crispness of the crust. Once it was done we had this delicious veggie pizza with all sorts of yummy toppings. I was so busy stuffing my face, I didn't even grab the Sriracha and chili flakes. The next closest pizza place is Round Table and now that I'm in the know, I'll take Papa Murphy's over Round Table any day. read more

I like pizza and friendly customer service. This place has both. Upon entering, I am always greeted warmly by every employee there. I'm sure they're told to do that, but I do like this standard of service. And they are genuine about it, which leads me to believe that this place is well-managed and the employees are happy about where they work. This is a big plus for any business. Papa Murphy's has been my go to place for a long time. Why? Because it is super cheap and super delicious. I can get a huge pizza that will feed a crowd for under $15 bucks and all I have to do is throw it in the oven. Papa Murphy's always has coupons in weekly grocery ads. These will bring a huge $15 dollar pizza down to a huge $10 pizza if you play your coupons right. Talk about bang for your buck. There are several different varieties of pizza to choose from. Papa Murphy's has classic crust, thin crust, pan crust and a deep dish crust. My personal favorites are the Gourmet Vegetarian on the classic crust, cheese with olives and mushrooms on the pan crust and the deep dish Cowboy pizza. Yum! The cheesy bread sticks with marinara sauce are also super tasty as well as the cookie pizza. Papa Murphy's also has salads that are pretty good. Always call ahead! They are so fast, I'm usually in and out of their within 5 minutes. The building is brand new and super clean. They have a nice waiting area with a bench. The customer service is really awesome, everyone is very friendly. I'm a huge fan of Papa Murphy's, they save me time and money. read more

Well, the take n bake aspect makes it possible to have fresh out of the oven pizza at home, and the dough used is really incredibly fresh, as is the cheese, and it shows. It blows costco take n bake out of the water due to freshness, and no pizza place an make pizza as fresh as you can make in your own oven. We buy a cheese pizza, and we slice fresh jalapeño (it adds just enough kick without burning you), fresh dill, and fresh cilantro along with fresh Roma tomato. It's unbelievably tasty, and this place provides the perfect canvas for our garden pizza. read more

Pretty bummed because I like this place, but there are customer service things that you simply cannot do. Called a pizza in on $10 Tuesday! Was told pizza would be ready at 6:30. Show up at 6:30 and they decide they are going to charge me $16. "But wait its $10 Tuesday!" I say. "You didn't mention $10 Tuesday when you called your order in, so it is $16." For some reason I swallow my pride and just pay the $16. I mean, at least the Pizza is good right? 6:50 rolls around, finally get the pizza, and the order is completely fucked.
