Pizza has always been good, but if you are looking to eat a tasty cheese steak this is the place to go! Staff is very friendly as well.

Great option for delivery. Good hot and cold subs(a little light on the meat) and good pizza. I do wish they offered a whole wheat pie but no deal breaker.. Have never tried the ribs and chicken but the typical pizza place options are great. read more

What a terrible shame! One person can really ruin the reputation of a business! Don't bother ordering if JOE answers the phone. He's very temperamental and unaccommodating. Actually sounded like he was cursing me off on the phone. JOE does not honor discount cards for "free knots" $1 value for delivery. Other people who answer the phone do. That $1 savings for his business and his disgusting behavior cost them a customer!!! read more

We order from here pretty often. Today we ordered a Cheesesteak Stromboli with mushrooms and onions (which they called to tell me it will be an extra $1.50) Also a turkey club sandwich and 2 liter of coke. The only thing they got right was the soda! There was NO cheesesteak in the Stromboli. It was cheese, mushrooms and onions. The turkey club should have been turkey, ham, cheer and bacon. We got a ham and turkey sandwich. NO cheese and NO bacon. When I called the kid that answered the phone said he knew for a fact there was steak on it because he made it. He only offered to make a second sandwich. I asked about the Stromboli again and he said there's steak on it. Meanwhile I'm ripping it apart as I'm speaking to him. He got such an attitude that I told him I will bring it to him. When it was brought in the kid took out a few pieces of steak and I mean not even enough for a bite. He argued that the steak is in it. They charged $13.50 for a cheese, mushroom and onion Stromboli and $11.50 for a ham and turkey sandwich. They didn't offer a refund. Unfortunately, the owners were not there during all of this because I'm sure they would have made it right. We will NOT be ordering from there anymore. read more

Just wanted to share an experience with you . I tried once again to order from Papa V's on Herbertsville Road, in Brick tonight. I have had problems with ordering from them in the past to the point where their management asked me to ask for Anthony when I called in. Tonight I placed an order for a calzone and having done so in the past - learning a lesson - I ordered a small with extra ricotta and mozzarella (as under a normal order the cheese is almost non-existent) and ham. UNFORTUNATELY ANTHONY WAS NOT THERE AND U WS "HURRIED' through the order. The delivery was made. I was halfway through the order and having not found any ham - I decided to call. I was given to "Lisa" as the manager on duty. She tried to tell me that due to the fact that I ordered extra cheese - all is in proportion and the ham might be hard to locate. She asked me to open the remaining part of my sandwich which was ridiculous in and of itself - I don't care WHAT the proportions are - in a Ham calzone I should not have to go through 3/4 of the sandwich before finding any ham (and let me reiterate through 3/4 there was NO HAM). Sensing an attitude from Lisa - I simply asked "Please ask Anthony to call me me when he is in". She had the audacity to tell me "No Anthony will not be calling me. Your sandwich was made according to your order." And then she started telling me about the portions and how on a normal calzone when you ask for ham you get two slices,,,TWO SLICES - paper thin slices - and even wth the disappointment I tried to explain that having eaten 3/4 of the sandwich there was NO Ham to that point. She then attacked me with "you have complained in the past" and I cut her off advising yes I have and the complaints were valid, hence the reason Anthony asked me to ask for him on future orders (and in doing so - for the record - I never had problems). I ended the conversation again asking that Anthony call me and I was told no. I informed her that my business with them was DONE and I would go back to Vinnie's. She responded "good" at which point I simply hung up. During the week - I am stressed out enough. I should not have to deal with more stress when it come to ordering my dinner - ESPECIALLY when I have an option of who to order from. If you have had good experiences with PaPa V's - so be it and I wish you continued luck. If you are looking for someone to order from - I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU DO NOT ORDER FROM PAPA V'S. VINNIE'S IS GOOD - JUST ORDER EARLY as they tend to be busy. There are a few others that are not bad and will deliver what you order - as opposed to PAPA V's. On the recommendation of a co-worker, I've recently tried this place, and I haven't been disappointed. The menu has a nice variety and something for everyone. The pizza is great, the salads are fresh, original, and generous, and the serivce is friendly and prompt. I gotten delivery on a few occasions. My husband ordered here last week and decided to order again tonight. We order a plain pizza and an appetizer and wait over an hour. When my husband called to see if they got lost or whatnot, they said oh no we don't deliver to your house, you have to pick it up now. Was a long time customer but just recently tried to order from them a pizza & side of dressing. Would not let me buy a side of dressing (buy) & when we asked the manager why, he told us to, verbatim, "go fuck ourselves." He's apparently the owner, Anthony, & when we said we were huge fans of his food & already had a salad just wanted the dressing he responded with "enjoy never having my dressing again." Way to go, sir. Enjoy having horrible customer service & now having a person that was a fan of your food, never order there & I will tell everyone about this. No going to spend $ @ a place where a customer is not appreciated. To respond to E.h: Please do not even pretend to think that anyone in this day & age believes that 1. You can hear both sides of a phone conversation accurately from the other side of a counter as you so claim & 2. You heard what was said from the other side of the conversation on a phone but not what the owner, Anthony, retorted directly in front of you. Just stop. You are obviously an employee, the owner or a friend of the place. Never once did we raise our voices so you are wrong on that point. The owner most definitely cursed at us, so again, wrong there. He even called to apologize this a.m. for doing so. We were willing to pay for a product or even be told they were unable to meet our request. That is not what happened. I admire the fact the owner called us to apologize but we are already a lost customer. Do NOT treat customers this way, no matter what. My comment on Yelp was accurate & truthful. Your comment is blatantly obvious as some sort of damage control. Good for you for lying. We ended up ordering @ Spanos in Point who were appalled by our story & gave us the requested side of dressing for FREE. I recommend them. read more

I called this place to see if they could make something as simple as sautéed spinach, grilled chicken and cheese on a wrap and I was told no they couldn't.. Who doesn't have spinach at their pizzeria I've never heard of such a thing! This was not the first time they told me they couldn't do something I asked so I will not be ordering or wasting my time calling here anymore! There is an awesome place called PRIME DELI on the same road a couple blocks down and they made my wrap with no problem! Awesome place and delicious food!!! Especially for lunch and dinner! The pizzas are enough to make this place famous, I highly recommend the Margherita, bbq chicken , and buffalo chicken pizzas. They are the best I've ever had, and I'm someone whose eating at some of the best Italians places in the Tristate area regularly. They have high quality ingredients and they put a lot of love into their food. Of course no place is perfect but for the most part I would hands down say they have some of the best food the the Garden state has to offer. They have a small sit down area , I wish they had more sitting room , there's like four lil tables , so I'm lucky enough to live close enough to pick it up, because delivery takes too long since they are just that busy, but I highly recommend the eggplant rollitini, wraps, and homemade cornbread which accompanies there rotisserie chicken and ribs side of the menu. just stopped by to pick up a couple slices .. may not be a barometer for all of their food but slices were dry and had no flavor. thrown in a regular oven behind counter to warm up .. apparently that didn't work cause they were still cold. As Herbertsville "locals"' this is the only place we use for pizza, cheesesteaks, subs, etc. The food is consistently good and they have great, punctual delivery. The best part about Papa V is the people. They are always friendly and seem to really appreciate their customers. Try the LaNonna pie - it's the best! read more
