I'm sitting here at Papas place at the bar and the door to the kitchen is wide open and that's really not a problem but when you can see everything going inside and see every one handling food not wearing gloves, scratching and rubbing there faces then handling the folks food that are in the diner about to eat. Then out of curiosity I look for the health score and it is an 82 B made me tell the waitress I changed my mind and I left, this is very in sanitary and who knows if they even wash there hands when they go back to work. It was a really cute place. Very homey. It was busy but we only waited 10 minutes. The food tasted better than the presentation. I had a Philly omelet it was very good . My friend had a biscuit egg sandwich , the biscuit was on the dry side. We shared a cinnamon roll that was delicious however it was drenched in icing. Service was very good. This was my first time in this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. The service is incredible and the food is also excellent. It's a nice family friendly environment with a feel of true Southern hospitality. There are plenty of menu choices and you really can't go wrong. Come with an appetite since there are generous portions, specially if you have pancakes. I stopped with my family for breakfast, but will be back for lunch. Enjoy! read more

Absolutely, positively, mega ultra yummy! I have been eating here for several years, there is no such thing as a bad meal in this place, everything is super yummy delicious. My favorites are the burgers and the country fried steak. The desserts are to die for. especially the banana bread pudding, the chocolate cake, the cinnamon buns, virtually everything they make. They get it done. So after you're done shopping in the stores across the street from them, check them out, for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you will not be disappointed. read more

absolutely pathetic in every shape imaginable. Came in after being recommended by a friend with my out of town parents to sit down and wait 20 minutes while being asked by three waiters if "we have been served yet" and all saying ok when we said no and walking away. Then two people trying to bring us food when we still haven't even gotten to talk to a waitor about ordering. Then our waiter shows UP it's a MIRACLE! To tell us he will be right back, and didn't show back up. Finally someone took over his table since he's incompetent, (I assumed he was new so I was nice about it at this point, everyone's new at some point). We then finally get to order 35 minutes after sitting down, to be told our food would be rush ordered, then to wait and watch as people just showing up getting their food way before us. BUT finally our hero arises! food is here almost a hour in! The omelette was cold and the cheese was an afterthought not even melted. The toast HAD MOLD all over it! When confronted about this blatant health code violation, the waitress said "oh let me have that, and walked away. Not a single apology or anything. Never saw her again, then half way through food our original waiter who's table it was, showed up with "to go" coffee's when my parents were no where near done and gave us the bill. Look I dont expect anything for free, but this was an insult and downright pathetic. I PAID FOR MOLDY TOAST!! I hope the staff are usually far better than this, and they don't get people sick. Every part of this experience was horrible and pathetic. I will never go back, and suggest this place to no one. read more

I've eaten here twice for breakfast. The service was fast and friendly each time. Eggs were prepared to order, decent biscuits, but the potatoes and grits lacked substance. :-( The highlight is the Cinnamon Bun though...don't skimp there. read more

We stopped here for breakfast on our way out of town. The food was delicious and the staff was amazing. This spot was super clean and there was a great variety of options on the menu. Hubs got the three choice breakfast including Chipped Beef and he was thrilled with this option. I had eggs, sliced tomatoes, and corned beef. There was a great amount of food and I couldn't even finish all my breakfast. The tomatoes were perfectly ripened and the Corned Beef seemed more homemade than out of a can. Perfect place for my birthday brunch! I put together my own breakfast by choosing four things. Believe me, you have to choose the cinnamon donut holes! These people could not cook an egg if you paid them twice the amount they're asking if you asked for it over easy you'll get it over hard you asked for it over medium you're gonna get it over hard if they don't burn it, you'll be lucky they have no clue how to cook in this restaurant. The owner personally came out and told me they didn't need my business because I sent food back that was cold to have. It warmed up which I've had to do numerous times as well as have the eggs cooked properly. This place doesn't even deserve a business license. This happened about three months ago I wanted to take the time to calm down before I wrote some thing that wasn't correct. There's so many other things I could I had it was just astound you. Omg this is the best breakfast my husband and I have ever had. We couldn't even see this place when we searched on google. We drove by it and decided to stop. I am so glad we did. When I first moved here and we ate at this place for the 1st time, their entire staff was super friendly and every server we've had was 100% wonderful! Both the men and women who work here. Okay, now about the food...its like having grandma over at your house making those homecooked meals! Soooo good! I love getting their TV monitor deals where you get an entree with 2 sides and a dessert? Why you asked? Because everything is homemade and freshly cooked right out of their kitchen! So we went this morning, first time with this new format. It's terrible, We stood in line to pay got our cups and went to a table. It's unclear if the waitress will tend to your drink of if its full self serve. The drink station is still in what looks to be in a waitress station. So eventually went back and got our drinks. Went back to the table put sweetener in my tea. No silverware so I just stirred with my finger. We listened to a waitress telling the next table telling the reason for the changes is that the kitchen was bottlenecked and this would eliminate that. When we left it was clear that the only thig the change accomplished was moving the bottle neck to the cash register. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Line past the door and the place full of empty table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we got our food one plate was luke warm, the other was barely that. (the grits were hot though) Our food prob got cold waiting for the grits. We never had a waitress come back to the table to check on anything. I hate writing this because this was one of our favorite places. Management took something that wasn't broken tried to improve it and now it's nothing more than a Golden Corral. On another note I always way over tip wait staff but instead of leaving $15 for the waitress I left $2.00 for the busboy. We won't be back. read more

We always sat at the bar and loved the servers and loved the familiar faces of customers there everytime we went in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The last two times we were there all the customers hate the changes and hate the new set up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]All the good servers have quit, the food is more expensive and the atmosphere is cold and unfamiliar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If I wanted to order at a counter and not have a server assigned to my table I'd go to McDonald's. Katlin Powell you have single handily taken a thriving company and ran it into the ground in a very short few weeks. I really hope that the new owner takes my words to heart because the restaurant t is gonna loose business. Way to ruin a good thing! It's so sad we feel a real loose here. When you have a booming business and wonderful dedicated staff you don't mess with a good thing.
