I made reservations a week in advance for four of us. There was plenty of free parking in the lot in front. The menus were very appealing, everything looked delicious. We ordered our seafood paellas in advance as it takes an hour to prepare. We started with sangrias and lots of different tasty tapas. The empanadas and croquettes were delicious. For dinner, we shared a huge seafood paella with a lobster tail, shrimp, clams, mahi-mahi, mussels, and calamari. The seafood was sweet and just melted in our mouths. The complementary pistachio flan was amazing. Service was impeccable, and our dinner was memorable. We were not rushed. We enjoyed sitting and chatting a little bit after dinner.

Went for happy hour on Friday and wasn't busy, which was nice. The happy hour menu wasn't that exciting but the empanadas and the chorizo quesadillas were on there for six dollars and those were both very good. We got the lamb chops that were market price ended up being $48 . They were good . The octopus unfortunately tasted like it was from a can or boiled but very fishy and slimy. I actually sent it back because it was inedible . The server grace looked at me like I had three heads when I told her I didn't like it and I actually had to ask her if I can send it back or get something else instead of her offering like any other place would have meanwhile I only took one bite of it. Ordered the red sangria, which just tasted like cheap red wine. We had to actually ask for sweetener just to try to make it taste a little more like sangria. Overall wasn't bad, but I would not order the octopus or the sangria.

We tried a lot of different plates at Papa's Tapas. We started off with a few drinks - the Spanish Mule was mostly ice for $17. We pre-ordered the vegetable paella - it was okay, bland - better as a left over the next day. The empanadas (beef and chicken) were decent. Spanish olives were not that good. A few of the dishes were tasteless and oily, like the tiny pieces of chicken in the pollo ajillo and the sautéed pulpo (octopus). The chorizo al jerez was just okay. Probably the best dish was the pork montadito - shredded pork on a baguette. I was disappointed. I ate at Papa's about 4 years ago and I remember it being much better.

    Yummy sea bass

A charming Spanish spot in Delray that's very popular & well regarded. Ate: Sea bass $21 Green salad $7 The food was very good & a good value. The sea bass was served with rice & beans & a nice Spanish green sauce. The tenor of service at the bar was unfriendly. So much so I didn't want to ask any questions.i noticed I wasn't served the very fresh rolls as I left adding to the vibe.

Everything tasted so good!! The seafood platter was chef's kiss, the calamari was Great. The lamb... plantain... EVERYTHING!! I am giving the food 4 stars because of one specific reason (in my opinion) it was too salty. Just like when you adding spice(hot peppers ) in the food, you have to be mindful of every single person that will be eating it, to me Salt is the same. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that the food wasn't great. On the other hand, everything was cooked to perfection tasted delicious, but the salt was also a lot. I would definitely recommend the place. The paella was so good that I had to bring it home. But also on the other hand, I would ask them for less salt next time when I visit

Great selection of Spanish tapas, both hot and cold plus some nice Spanish dishes including paella which takes 1 hour to make. Tre was a great sever. Went on a Saturday night, mistake, much too loud and noisy. Been here several times before when it was much more enjoyable with the noise level. I tried the Fried Calamari, lightly battered calamari and fried vegetables with aioli Sweet Angels and the Cazuelita, shrimp, scallops, calamari, mushrooms & chorizo sautéed with garlic, olive oil, and white wine, both were very good. My wife ordered the sweet plantains wrapped in applewood bacon and drizzled with a butter brandy. Also the Meatballs Andalucia, meatballs made with beef, mozzarella, dates and almonds served in tomato Pisto sauce . Also very good. Definitely something different than the normal except of for the noise level.

Absolutely love Papa's Tapas. The food is consistently flavorful, fresh, and made with care--especially the garlic shrimp and paella, which are always standouts. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service feels like family. Whether you're here for a casual night out or a special occasion, it never disappoints. A true gem in Delray!

Wanted a selection of small plates and this was the perfect fit. Inside and outside tables and as is normal quite difficult to park in busy DelRay. Six dishes and everyone pleasant and tasty. Pork crochets, beef empanadas, shrimp plate, meat balls, bruschetta and finally baked cheese on flat bread. Good cocktail choices and behind the bar to large kegs of red and white Sangria which are served in generous large pottery jugs. Final nice touch as we were setting to leave staff member went to open the door and thank us. It is a great family run restaurant.

This place was AMAZING! From the minute we were greeted and asked for our reservation's name to the ending of our experience; it was hands down so great! I had probably one of the best espresso martinis I have ever had. I'm not even joking when I say that. It was delicious. The apps were nothing less than perfect too that we shared for the table. The duck rolls were pretty spot on and that's saying a lot for not being a big fan of duck. We also shared the cauliflower. My main entree was the octopus. I'm glad I asked about spice, because they said it had a kick. So I asked for the sauce to be on the side. Our server, Riley, did it without hesitation for me. The environment was also really pretty for Indian fusion. There was an upside down painting of the Taj Mahal upside down that was sick!

We sat on the patio under an umbrella during dusk time, which was lovely. It wasn't too hot. Aspen was our server and she was extremely accomodating and kind. She provided her recommendations to us about the menu, which I really appreciated. We started with the mocktails "is there a doctor in the house?" And they were AMAZING! Super refreshing. It had pineapple skin, ginger, turmeric, carrot, and citrus. We ordered a bunch of items to share. For appetizers, we ordered the bang bang cauliflower, which had mushroom, paneer, mint and cilantro. This was SO yummy, but extremely spicy! My mouth was actually on fire. We also got the spicy tuna bomb which consistent of semolina puri, spicy soy, green goddess, and avocado. They were shaped like little circles that you could pop in your mouth in one bite. We got the Brussels Caesar which was AWESOME! I loved the shaved Brussels made into a salad. We also ordered the truffle naan with ricotta. This is a MUST! It was delicious. The truffle taste was so potent. And the ricotta paired so well with it. We ordered the ribeye cut medium from the meat menu along with the buttermilk miso. The meat was perfect. It was tender and yummy. We just weren't provided with a knife to cut it and had to ask for it. I gave 4 stars just because of the multiple flies that were surrounding us and our food at one point. We asked for a fly fan, but unfortunately they didn't have one available. Overall, wonderful experience though! Food was very tasty, service was great. I will most definitely return and sit inside on my next occasion!

I agreed that sounded like an excellent idea. Patio Tapas and Beer was supposed to have a good happy hour 5pm-7pm so we went with that. Its located in a tough spot to get a parking spot in South Mizner area, but we got lucky and landed a spot right by the front door. They had just moved to this new location from nearby a few months ago. It still felt kinda new inside in a good way. There wasn't many people there when we arrived. We were able to easily get a couple spots at their nice oaken bar. There were a handful of friendly staff there that were quick with some wine and some of their happy hour Montaditos. We tried the sangria as well which they had a large container of on the bar. We tried the potatoes, duck breast, shrimp, and Jamon iberico and manchego. Everything was darn good, the iberico possibly the best. Oh, and the Spanish omelet was a nice bite as well. It was a nice happy hour; much better than going to the gym. We will have to stop in again soon. They had alot of different plates to try.

They still have patio seating, which is smaller but slightly better views. Service is always good, attentive, and helpful. We usually come for happy hour to take advantage of their large menu of montaditos. I think they're all pretty good but our favorites are the piquillo relleno--a small, whole stuffed red pepper with goat cheese, the classic pan con tomate, churrasco, and cordero estofado. I would say those are the most flavorful ones and on our regular rotation. They also have an almond cake we always order that is imported from Spain. Served warm and à la mode, it has a little crusty edge and a very moist, dense crumb. Not too sweet. Sometimes they serve it drizzled with chocolate and I prefer it without.

We had open table reservations so we were seated right away...the hostess was was very friendly as were our servers...we started with one guy but then we had another lady soon after. We ordered drinks to start...Pinot grigio for me and Corona for the hubby. We looked over the menu a bit and started off with 3 shareables..the eggplant with honey, shisito peppers and octopus gallega...The eggplant with honey was an interesting dish (in a good way) and very tasty...they peppers were good as well but my husband wasn't a fan of the octopus gallega. For the 2nd round, we ordered another round of drinks and then the pan con tumaca, manchego croquettes and octopus in garlic sauce. I loved the toast with tomato "jam" as well as the manchego croquettes...I would re-order both of these. My husband wasn't a fan of the octopus in garlic sauce as he felt it was a bit too salty. He also ordered another dish, the seafood salpicon and this dish he really loved! For dessert we opted for the crema catalana...similar to a creme brulee...it was good...I also had a latte which was a nice accomplishment to the dessert. After dinner we headed to their Hidden Speakeasy (behind the pantro door). In there we each had another drink to end the evening. They do have a food menu in there which was different from the restaurant. It would be fun to just come with a group of friends and chill for a while. All in all, a tasty meal and a fun date night!

I took that recommendation seriously because Florida Nacho Man takes all nacho intelligence seriously. That person owes me $14.50. The plate arrived. Full size ceramic plate, good choice, holds heat. Holds heat the way the surface of the sun holds heat, actually. No warning. No heads up. Just a plate that could cause a medical incident set down in front of you with the quiet confidence of something that had nothing to apologize for. It did not. There were eight chips on it. Eight. On a full size plate. Rattling around like survivors on a burning raft. At $14.50, that works out to $1.81 per chip. I want everyone to sit with that math for a moment. Each chip had a spoonful of highly underseasoned ground beef on it. Individually placed. The sour cream was piped in decorative swirls like this was a thin nacho cake -- tasteless, unattractive, sad, with no business in a Mexican restaurant. The lettuce was iceberg, roughly chopped, room temperature, just another passenger on this train of sadness. The jalapeños were pickled, piled in the center, and had the heat of a decorative garnish because that is all they were. The cheese welded the chips to the plate. Fork Rule violated. At a Mexican restaurant. For nachos. Shame on them. I ate all eight chips in pursuit of a redeeming quality. There was not one. Alas. The margarita was $5.50 on happy hour special. It also sucked. 1.5/10. The Ghost Nacho. Just avoid this place altogether.
