For bar food it is absolutely fantastic. Get the lamb burger end of discussion.... The fries are also really good

Ok this place is a gem. I cannot get enough of how sweet the staff was and how amazing the food was. Not to mention they accommodate dogs in two different patios. Ryland was our server and is a national treasure. She helped serve us and our extra needs with ice for our dog due to the heat. The food was amazing. It was hearty and hit the spot well. The area is a perfect spot to hit for their nice dining options for indoors and outdoors and kind staff.

Traveling for work and decided to pop in here for dinner. Glad I did!!! I ordered the corned beef and cabbage plate. It was delicious! I sat at the bar and everyone was very friendly that works there. Lighting was perfect for the time of day and the restaurant stayed busy. Wine is good price. I would highly recommend when in town

The sidewalk seating was packed, but the host got us an outdoor table in the back where we could bring our puppy. We dined on chicken pot pie (rich and delicious with a puff pastry crust), French onion soup (delicious with a subtle hint of wine), and a caesar salad -- all superb. The service was fast and polite. The other customers seemed boisterously pleased. We'll go back.

5/5 Stars Had such a great time at Pappy McGregor's! This place gives off total Irish pub vibes--even though I've never been to Ireland, it feels like the real deal. I started with a whiskey sour, and wow--it was incredible. You can tell they use egg whites because of that silky foam top. It was one of the best I've had. I also did a pickleback shot (Jameson followed by pickle juice), which is always a favorite of mine, and they nailed it. For food, I ordered the tomato bisque soup, and it was next-level. The croutons were perfectly seasoned and crunchy, and it came with a grilled cheese sandwich that had crispy melted cheese on the outside of the bread--so flavorful and satisfying. The atmosphere here is awesome--cozy, lively, and welcoming. There's a separate bar area if you're just grabbing drinks, and they also offer patio seating, which is a nice option on warm evenings. The staff was super friendly and everything felt really well-organized. I even ended up buying some merch--a hoodie for me and a trucker hat for my partner. Both are great quality and a fun way to remember a great night. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in Paso Robles and looking for a laid-back, delicious, and fun experience.

If you haven't tried Pappy's yet, go now! It's one of my fav Irish pubs and always my first stop when I visit the area. Everything on the menu is great and the staff is always on it. I usually sit in the bar (they have both high and low tables), they do have a dining room, and another back area with seating. I recommend coming early as they get busy. Lunch deals M-F 11am-3pm. First time here and love that they're open later than most places in this area. The waiter and bartender were cool and made the experience fun. Short Rib Jalapeño Burger 5/5: seriously delicious. The beer cheese smothering the burger was phenomenal. If there had been an egg on top, this would have been dangerous. Garlic Fries 5/5: garlicky just how I wanted with a snap to them like a baby carrot Guinness 4/5: they use this really cool laser to create designs on top of the foam. Unfortunately it leaves a taste that is not pleasant. Overall, would definitely recommend. Great food and great atmosphere.

Always a good place to have a bite. The portions are great and everything tastes freshly cooked. We also come for the lunch specials that are fairly priced.

I liked it a lot. The service was good and food was great. Onion rings were perfect. Very large portions, particularly for the chicken pot pie and fish and chips. Casual and relaxed pub. Had a lot of cool decorations inside. Cool Guinness decor.

While spending the weekend in Paso Robles visiting the wineries, of course you have to go to the town Square. Everyone says so! This place was recommended by a couple of friends so we made sure to stop in for lunch before we left town and boy did it not disappoint. The food was delicious with a great menu. Our server was amazing. I wish I could remember her name. I'm so bummed. It has a great pub atmosphere! And the drinks are great as well!

Finally popped in here for dinner and we were beyond surprised with the amazing quality of food and cocktails as well as service! The lamb burger, pub burger, French onion soup and corned beef were on point!!! The craft cocktails were awesome too!!!

How late is the kitchen open for late evening grazing (on Sunday 12/29/24)?

Our kitchen closes at 9pm. But we offer personal pepperoni pizzas after the kitchen closes made by our bartender.

Will you have the us vs England game on Friday?

    Sorry, no we will not.

Do you have outside seating for cigar smoking?

Hi we do have a outdoor rear patio that we allow cigar smoking after dinner service 9pm or later Sunday-Thursday nights. Friday/Saturday nights we do not allow due to the large late night crowds we get.

    Do you guys do delivery?

Hi, no we don’t. There is a local company called Fetch, that will pick up orders for you and deliver. But we don’t work with any companies like Uber Eats or Grubhub.

To be honest, I at first felt like I was entering the twilight zone, the first time I came here. In the back of my mind, I was thinking, " Is this what it felt like going to something like this during prohibition times? Now, in this post, I will not share all about your entrance, etc., into this place, as that takes the fun out of it, but I must add that if you are in the Paso area, this is a must on your list. Let's go back and recreate yesteryear, a very intimate and very exclusive, club-like atmosphere. You never know who is watching you; it's all that mystery. Does it feel a bit like the game CLUE"? You tell me. :-) Just remember this: speak easy, abide by their rules, speak quietly, and have fun!

This restaurant came highly recommended, and it absolutely lived up to the praise. When we arrived, the setting was lovely, and we were warmly welcomed by Michelle. At first, my wife and her friend were a bit unsure as they reviewed the menu, as they didn't immediately see options that appealed to them. However, that quickly changed. Our friend ordered the asparagus salad and croquettes, while my wife chose the rosemary garlic grilled prawns and roasted heirloom carrots. Both dishes completely exceeded expectations--they were blown away by how flavorful and well-prepared everything was. Over the course of our trip, we visited many wineries and enjoyed several excellent meals throughout the Central Coast. I especially want to recognize the young woman working the Starbucks/food service counter in the lobby during our visit. She never stopped hustling and kept everything moving with a great attitude. Honestly, the fact that one person was left to run the entire cafe by herself feels like a management staffing issue, not an employee issue. Management should make sure the cafe is properly staffed, and if someone calls in sick or doesn't show up, leadership should step in to help rather than leaving one employee to carry the entire workload alone. That said, our cafe experience remained positive largely because of her work ethic and professionalism.
