In fairness, years ago I had half of one of their breakfast burritos at a work event and I loved it. Today on my mission to find the best breakfast burrito in town I placed a to go order for one. It is by far the best one I have had in town so far. The portion was huge and could probably feed two people, but I finished it off, it was so good. The tortilla was good, soft and held up well to all the ingredients. The ingredients were high quality and tasted fresh and great. The salsa was the perfect amount of heat for me, with a bit of smokiness. The value for the price I paid was outstanding. My only complaint was the potatoes could have been a bit crispier for texture and a little more seasoned. I placed my order over the phone and it was ready when I got there. The restaurant felt homey and welcoming. I will be going back with the family for more items to try. read more

I hadn't been to Pappys in years! The last time I'd went I literally sank into the booth seating, making me just about eye level with the table and my plate of French toast. Recently a friend of mine told me he'd brought his family to Pappys and I asked him if their seats had been fixed. He said yes so the very next morning I woke up my lazy teen and preteen kids and carted us all to Pappys. Yep this was an American breakfast. I got the stuffed FREEDOM toast. Proud to be an American, getting one bite closer to diabetes lol. The cream cheese cut down on the sweetness, it was good. One of us had the All American Breakfast and the bacon was cooked to perfection. Meh the food here wasn't the greatest, nor the atmosphere for my taste, or the service. The serving sizes were pretty nice, and definitely shareable. But it was just meh, I've had better chicken fried steak. Service wise the server was nice, but she was hard to get ahold of to get refills. Like even when she would pass our table multiple times it was hard to get her attention to ask for more water or coffee. Absolutely LOVE this place. We always come here for breakfast whenever it is a family member's birthday or of course if we're craving their breakfast food. It's just a different vibe here like everyone's one big family. We ordered the Hobo Omelette, Cheese Omelette, and the Hawaiian Freedom Toast! I had the Hobo Omelette and it tasted so good. We came to Pappy's for breakfast after not coming for quite a few years (we had honestly forgotten about it) and it did not disappoint. We walked in and were told to sit wherever we'd like. Our drink order was immediately taken and we ordered our food not long after. I had the chocolate chip pancakes and made it a meal with bacon and eggs and let me tell you, those pancakes were amazing and I can be pretty picky about my chocolate chip pancakes. They had plenty of chocolate and didn't have any gross chocolate sauce on top, only powdered sugar with butter and syrup on the side. My wife ordered the steak and eggs and she really enjoyed it and brought half of it to go because the portions are so large. This is my favorite breakfast place hands down, and I found the place completely by accident. My husband heard that they were a part of the Gilmore Girl experience when their new Netflix special was coming out and the coffee shop was going to put up decorations to look like Luke's Diner from the show. My oldest daughter and I are huge fans so we had to go. It's was so fun and little did we know, it was going to be the beginning of a love affair with the place. We go at least twice a month for breakfast and often when the kiddos are out of school. I personally love the coffee and the vegetarian eggs Benedict and my husband loves the country friend steak. Tried to come in today, I have a broken ankle and was on a mobility aid. We went on a Sunday morning and the restaurant was busy. We waited about 15 minutes so that was nice. The restaurant is older and it has a good feel to it. The employees were friendly and they knew there jobs. I ordered the Denver omelette. The coffee was good and I enjoyed the flavor. Our order came out in a timely manner. It's looked great. I have the house potatoes and gravy and biscuit. I tried the gravy and biscuit. The had a good teast and I found the biscuit to have a good texture. I really am not a fan of leaving bad reviews, but I am hoping Pete the owner actually reads these so he can make the correction before things get worst. My wife, granddaughter and myself pretty much come here every Sunday usually after church. We normally can count on the service being spot on but today was worst than you can imagine. We know that they will be busy and sometimes there is a wait usually no more than 30 minutes. Which today was only about 20. We always ask for a booth so we can contain our granddaughter in a corner which we actually got our usual booth next to the kitchen. It took a server 20 minutes before they actually stopped only to ask if they had taken our drink order. She stated someone would be right there which took another 10 minutes. We finally got our drink order taken by one of the young kids working there. The server disappeared for another 15 minutes before a lady taking care of another area saw we had been sitting a long time with the menus still on the table. Mind you there are several young men walking around helping others just not us. I went through 2 cups of coffee before the server that went to get the girl that actually had our table came back a said sorry she is working or a huge Togo order and finally took our order herself. I ordered the spicy sausage Pattie, eggs over medium with a cup of grits. The sausage patty was so greasy I could only eat half and the grits were super watery. Not the best experience this time! She's always genuinely friendly and highly efficient! The rest of the staff is outstanding too! The 2nd Generation owners really know how to hire great help!
