Looove Paquitos. If you're looking for big delicious burritos with fresh ingredients, this is the place. There are three or four around the city, but this is the only real "restaurant" the rest are small seat yourself and take-out. They are also about a dollar cheaper per burrito at the take-out, but still as big and delicious. read more

A few friends and I walked halfway across town in 108 degree heat last week to eat at Paquito's per the recommendation of another friend. Between the delicious margaritas and food, the casual atmosphere and the friendly staff it was SO worth it! Some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten and also the most reasonable. Careful with the tequila shots as they'll definitely up the bill, but worth it to enjoy a pitcher of margs. great margaritas don't make up for cat tacos. i suppose they would if only the garden were not polluted by cigarette smoke. I came for a late dinner on Cinco de Mayo. We waited about 45 minutes for a table which I expected on Cinco de Mayo. We were seated in the back of the restaurant and had a lot of space. It was nice they don't try and cram tables in back there. They also had a nice patio in the back that seems like it will be nice when the weather gets warmer. I thought the menu was huge and had a good variety of common dishes as well as unique ones - they have quac but no cheese dip. I got carne asada (~$16) and I thought it was great. The steak was so flavorful and so were the rice and black beans. I really enjoyed the dish. My boyfriend got Chipotle beef and enjoyed it as well. It came in a skillet in a red sauce. The board outside said $30 margarita pitchers, but apparently that was just for happy hour - the pitcher ended up being $42. We were a little disappointed with the false advertising but the staff brought us multiple free tequila shots so we couldn't stay disappointed long. I also really enjoyed the margaritas on the rocks. So many places have margaritas that taste too salty or like no mixer was added but I would come back for this one. Unassuming spot in the East Village serving some dependable Mexican The guac is great, and I went H.A.M. on the chicken burrito. I got a taste of the enchiladas, and they were also excellent. Despite the A sanitation rating, I had food poisoning from food prepared by the restaurant. After ordering the vegetarian burrito and chili, I fell violently ill for an aggregate of three days. One of the least loyal customer service. My family and I always order from them and then my daughter just wanted rice but not rice and bean. She just want a spoonful of the bean gravy on top with no bean... Kids can be so particle... They want to me to pay for the bean... I say what?!? She just want a spoon of the liquid from the bean. I've been ordering from Paquito's since the late 90s but never again. For many years it was my late-night standby because their delivery is super-fast, but the quality of the food has gone downhill to the point that I'd rather simply skip dinner or have toast than eat Paquito's. The last time I ordered a cactus burrito -- one of my old favorites -- the cactus was slimy and sour and tasted like it was just on the verge of going bad. I decided to give them one more chance and order a chicken asada burrito tonight. The guacamole had a giant, cold lump in it that led me to believe it must've been frozen, and the salsa with my order of chips was watery and tasteless. Paquitos is a real hidden gem. It is my go to for basic Mexican food in the city. You would never know from walking outside that there is actually a decent sized restaurant and great garden area for when the weather is nice. Incredible food. I've ordered the same thing twice and they were exactly identical--great quality control. Their chicken taste very good and is of a high quality meat. If ordering for delivery I recommend ordering over the phone because there is only a $10 minimum, whereas ordering on seamless has an $18 minimum. read more

It looks like there is a restaurant side, and a take out side. This review is for the take-out side. Friendly service. Not really anywhere to sit. $10 credit charge minimum (lame), and food kinda takes a while to come out. However, that means it's truly made to order. Bad the beef burrito. Very filling and tasty. The best mexican food I have ever had? Not really, but solid. The quality of the beef, tastes more like skirt steak instead of just regular ol' beef. Prices are around the price of Chipotle, so why go to Chipotle when you can go to a place that tastes a lot more authentic. read more
