Dinner on January 4th was my first time visiting this restaurant, and unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. My husband and I ordered two koobideh. When the food arrived at the table, the rice was cold--so cold that the butter wouldn't melt at all. The koobideh itself also wasn't hot, though it wasn't as cold as the rice. This was an immediate turnoff, especially for a dish that should be served fresh and hot. I let our server know, and she did bring out another side of rice that was hot this time. However, by the time the new rice arrived, the koobideh had already gotten completely cold, which made the whole meal unenjoyable. For a first visit, this really missed the mark. Serving cold food--especially something as simple as rice--is unacceptable, and it definitely impacted our overall experience. I was hoping for much better. read more

Honestly, I am sad to write this, because I really was hoping for an enjoyable experience, and because people were nice. We drove almost 1.5 hour in traffic to get there. We went there on Saturday. It's a nice atmosphere, nice people, and clean environment. I liked their in house made bread a lot. One of the 2 stars was for these positive experiences. Unfortunately that's where the complements have to stop. For the 4 of us we ordered 4 dishes, lamb chops, lamb shank, sultani beef, and bone in chicken. First only 2 foods arrived. Then the lamb chop came, which was with wrong type of rice. That was taken back and brought back with the correct rice and the final dish. We were unhappy to find out all food were just Luke warm. I put a little butter inside my rice and it didn't even melt!! The lamb shank was really not warm at all. Lamb chop was overcooked and dry. Bone in chicken was OK. Sultani barg was so thin, we wondered how it could have possibly been made that thin. Honestly we'd never ever seen one like that in any restaurant. It was paper thin. And of course it was dry because of it. We looked at waited for our server, who was so overwhelmed that never came by our table again. We were really hungry. So we started eating anyway. Hindsight, we really shouldn't have done that. Our server showed up at the very end with the bill. I told him about issues. He said he wished I'd told him, and I had to remind him that he was nowhere to be found. overall, unpleasant, mediocre food with servers running around trying to catch up with orders. The waiter said that they had the best kabobs in Glendale and they weren't wrong. We started with the appetizer combo of hummus, mast moosir (yogurt mixed with shallots) and ikra (grilled eggplant and tomato sauce) which we ate with the fresh bread they bake daily. The pro-move was combining some of the dips. Yum. My entree was chicken torsh (chicken marinated in a pomegranate molasses sauce) with salad, and rice with cherries. The chicken was grilled like a kabob but had a darker color because of the marinade. It was juicy and very tasty. Our waiter was wonderful, and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. We sat outside, which was lovely and not overcrowded. I know I'll be back and bringing friends who haven't yet had the pleasure of Pardis. read more

Returned and, this time, dined in. Beautiful lighting and eclectic decor. Didn't get a chance to check out the outdoor/backyard seating but the server advised us that it's very beautiful and pleasant when the weather is nice. We ordered the kashk bademjoon, torshi, salad shirazi, soltani kabob and zershk chicken kabob. All the good was fresh and delicious. The torshi, kashk bademjoon, and koobideh were our favorites. I think Pardis is one of the best Persian/Armenian food places in LA (my most fav place for soltani to be honest). However, I want ti talk about their service today. We were helped by a fantastic person named Bob. He made sure to attend to our every need and even made sure the background in our picture looks nice (they have very nice indoor and outdoor sittings btw). I just wanted to make sure his exceptional work doesn't go u recognized. I am a very long costumer (first time I went there was on the same week they opened) and I think one of the things they could really improve on was the quality if their service. My husband and I came here craving Mediterranean food. We had heard about it as a great alternative for Raffi's. There is a parking lot right next to the restaurant w free parking! Hooray! The restaurant itself is also very clean. They appear to have a private room too so that looks very nice for small parties and get togethers! I got the chicken koobideh and the meat was very juicy and well seasoned. My husband got the lamb kabob which was a tad flavorless, though it had a good chew (it was not tough). :) we also got a yogurt dip and that was delicious! On a side note, my husband substituted his rice for Lima bean and dill rice, which was just okay but not our fave. The service was lovely! We had a wonderful experience. The portion sizes were great. We have been to Pardis many times and i have to say their customer service isn't always good.but we have come here with family over and over and i think i might not go back.1) they took our drink order and took them 30 min or more to come back and by that time we didn't even order appetizers. We ordered our food which again took a while to come out. We had to ask them for the bread, then they brought it. 2 family members got the order wrong. Another person in our party had their Luleh not cooked. 3 members in using myself ordered dizzi( Abghoosht) any person restaurant should know Abghoosht comes with bread that you eat the meat with and also put it in your soup. I had to ask for the bread which the waitress said our doesn't come with bread! I had to tell her this is how the food is served! It's like ordering burger with no bun. They took forever to bring the bread which the food was cold, the meat looked like they put in blender and had very weird texture. Any Persian chef would know that not what it supposed to taste like or look like. We have had the dizzi here before and it wasn't like this. This was just terrible. I think they are trying but for sure they need their stuff more checking on guest, be faster and also hire a new chef or at least don't have them make traditional Persian food if they can't. read more

The one star is for the sweet and professional server. However, the quality of food was very poor. The koobideh was greasy and the barg was tough. The Tahchin which is supposed to be a saffron rice stuffed with chicken, was not a real Tahchin. It was a few days old zereshk polo mixed with left over chicken pieces which tasted bad, and a chewy and thick crust. Very disappointing experience! read more

This was our second time going to Pardis, and it was as good as the first time! This is one of the best Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurants in the area; we should know since we've tried many! This time we had the hummus, ikra, and two orders of the Beef Soltani. The meats were expertly cooked, with an explosion of flavor when you bite into the tender and juicy flesh. The hummus was also very good, as was the ikra. Our server Amin was attentive, stopping by regularly to check on us and refilling our bread and onion side dish. I'm not much of a raw onion person, but the complimentary onions were surprisingly good- not too spicy with just the right mix of freshness- that I ended up eating way more than anticipated and even asked for seconds. Had in mind a clean slick place with elevated food and great ambiance that not only looked fancy but also had great food and service. This place did not disappoint me it's plenty of seating options and a good size menu. Food was excellent we ordered several dishes including appetizers all dishes were great. The steak and the lamp were my favorite. Parking is ample in lot and along street. Service was top notch our server kept coming around to check on us but not in an annoying manner. They are very friendly anyone who walked by our table asked if we needed anything and they were all willing to help. Definitely a Roth the drive for me. -I'll start this off with the amazing service, I asked for too many things, lavash, onions, more lavash, pitcher of Diet Coke, more Diet Coke, pitcher of water, etc etc and everyone was eager to get us what we needed. -The food was amazing, I loved the chicken especially, it was tender and juicy. the Beef Koobideh could've used a little more salt or seasoning inside the meat but overall it was warm, soft and juicy and I added salt and sumac myself so it wasn't a big issue, same with the beef barg. -Interior and exterior design was elegant and upscale, including silverware, plates, bowls, etc. I'll be visiting again soon read more

I've held three birthdays here now. The staff is so nice and accommodating, and their back patio is so gorgeous, I always have a good time. The indoor dining area is also very pretty but it does get a bit loud in there. Beware that all kebab dishes come with a MOUNTAIN of rice, so you probably won't need additional. The appetizer dips are also very generously portioned. Do not miss their ikra (eggplant tomato dip) or their Olovieh (chicken egg salad), which are incredible. The kebabs are all perfectly done, as is their Persian stews, such as fesenjoon and gormeh sabzi. You really can't go wrong here. This is a Glendale favorite. Add it to the rotation, especially if Raffi's is getting a bit old. read more

There's nothing like sitting at the table when the server approaches with huge plates of food for your table to be shared by the group. So much fun... In any case, the food here was very good. Asked for individual checks and the waitress refused to do it. 3. Still eating, they through bunch of food-to-go boxes in the middle of the table. 4. Without asking, the check arrived. This is my 2nd time ordering from here, I wanted to give them an opportunity to make it right since my first order was a disaster. First time the service was a fail and it all started with the girl on the phone I believe her name was Edith; I didn't say anything took my order eventually and left. Second time today, I ordered it on line to make it easy and not have issues, for the love of god when people order to go and ask for utensils please provide them. The food is okay, the beef is just okay; however the chicken is fantastic! The restaurant is not busy the both times I've ordered, I just ask the owner/manager to train your staff to read the instructions and requests. We dined at Pardis Restaurant a couple of weeks ago and had an excellent experience. The ambiance is great and they have a parking lot in both sides of the building. The Kabab Torsh was particularly great, we got sour cherry rice with that and that was great too. Another wonderful dish was the Gheymeh Bademjan, which was equally delicious and well-prepared. We also had a sultani kabab which was tender and nice. They got a nice selection of wine and liquor as well.
