I've used this bakery two years in a row now for their beautiful holiday cakes on Christmas Eve. Both times the cakes were delicious and had cute holiday themes. Also, both times I went to pick up my online order there were issues where it took awhile for them to find it. I'm not sure why. I will continue to use them for their holiday cakes. Woo a Tous Les Jour competitor in the houses! French Korean fusion ftw! Everything is pretty similar - except that this place has mochi donuts! But seems a little small and overpriced lol - will try 'em next time. Also got some salad bowls and sandwiches which the other place doesn't have. I was working at my office in Birmingham and walked by Paris Baguette on my way to pick up my Starbucks order. I was stopped in my tracks and wished I had brought my wallet because the new business and the croissant right behind the door caught my eye. I made my way back at lunch with wallet in hand, and the inside is instantly inviting with someone at the door ready to hand you a tray and help. There are two rows of delicious looking pastries that you self serve from the tongs on your tray. Croissant of all kinds (regular, chocolate, chocolate covered, everything seasoning, so many choices!), danish, donuts, tarts, baguette. There is something for everyone, and I had a hard time choosing because everything looked great. There are also sandwiches in a cooler and slices of cake as well as full cakes behind a counter. Once you make your choices, you head to the register to check out. You can have your choices packed up to go or choose to eat there at a few tables. There are also coffee and other drinks available for order too. I went with the almond croissant and a tiramisu donut. Oh my, best almond croissant I've ever had. It was fluffy and the crème inside was delicious. It really gives you the Paris feeling and tasted just like those I had when I was there. I've only had a bite of the donut, but it was good as well. I'm so happy this is here, and I'll be frequenting more often instead of Starbucks right next door. You should do the same! read more

Food is ok, so is the coffee and the service, nothing extraordinary, but consistent quality. Just make sure you are being charged the correct amount before leaving. I ordered three baguettes and a cheesecake from the case by the register. I was charged a $5 special request fee, not sure why, there was no explanation, and I did not ask for a Birthday, or anniversary message to be written on it. I loved this cute little bakery cafe. They have a wide variety of delicious cakes, pastries, gourmet sandwiches, breads, salads and more. The cakes I tried were fresh, soft, delicious and had just the right amount of sweetness. Their collection of signature birthday cakes looks gorgeous BTW and I'm sure they taste great too. I love this place! They have such a great array of sweet and savory, pastries, and cakes, coffees and sandwiches. They even have breakfast sandwiches if you go in the morning! I tried the curry croquet, chocolate chip croissant with strawberries (my fav!), a chocolate dipped croissant filled with chocolate cream, and a blueberry cream bun as well as a couple different lattes. Everything I've had here was so fresh and flavorful I loved it all. the service was fast and friendly as well. I really enjoy grabbing my own pastries because sometimes I feel uncomfortable to ask for a specific one in the counter LOL. They are a little pricey, but it seems on par with the newer, more aesthetically pleasing bakeries. I would for sure go back but try to go earlier in the day as you'll have way more options to try out! read more

Got my first delivery order from here today and I was impressed! I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich on brioche which was tasty. I did have to heat it myself which was kind of annoying, but it was fine. I also ordered the croissant bread. Their customer service was exceptional because they called me to tell me they were out and helped me decide on a different option which I appreciated! The lady I spoke with was super friendly. I also got the BBQ Chicken Pizzetta and the Blueberry Cream Cheese pastry. Both had plenty of filling and I thought they had a good filling to bread ratio. I also got an americano and an iced coconut mocha nitro cold brew - both were delicious because they use Lavanzza coffee. I will definitely come here again and try some more items!! read more

The store looks nice but while looking at the treats and pastries we noticed a bunch of fruit flies flying around in the food cases and on the pastries. The setup of the bakery is visually appealing. Plenty of seats for anyone who wants to come with a group. The baked goods were sadly a miss for me. I got 2 pastries, one filled with custard and blueberries and the other with cream and strawberries. The first was a miss for me, it lacked flavor and was very dry. The strawberry and cream pastry was a bit better, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get again. The chocolate cake was also a miss for me, the cake was dry and the icing texture lacked flavor. It's definitely a place for pretty pictures but if you're someone who loves baked items, this might not be the place for you. read more

I wanted to love this cause I love Paris Baguette in Korea but this one just isn't worth it. It's dirty, the pastries seem old and are oily, it just shouldn't even be called Paris Baguette cause it doesn't met the quality you'd expect from them at all. Also, there was no changing table so I had to change my baby on the floor. And the toilet said you couldn't flush toilet paper so you had to put it in the trash can and I hope they fix that soon cause that's disgusting. read more

Sad to add another bad review pertaining to the service. Apparently asking for cold brew was too much (even though it's on the menu), and I was told they only have iced coffee. Asking for milk in my iced coffee was a bridge too far. The gentleman made it out to be a very big deal. He purposefully made the drink about half milk and then dramatically asked "it this enough." This is not how anyone wants to start their day. We also ordered three of the mochi donuts. We had them the day before and they tasted delicious and fresh. It was clear the donuts we ordered today were leftovers from the day prior. They were dry and the humidity had made the icing on the outside wet. Based on our experience today we will not be giving this establishment our business in the future. Asking for a little bit of milk in one's coffee should not be a recipe for snark. A little kindness goes a long way. read more

First time there (go on Sunday morning...easy in and out). Wanted to try out some nice pastries for an up coming party. OMG! Everything looks delicious and fresh! Tried several items, can't say enough about them. Try them all! Especially love the little bite-size cream puffs. Self-serve makes it really easy and quick. Love this place! Went into Paris Baguette for the first today time early in the afternoon. We pass by it often when walking and have been excited to try it out. If I was basing coming back here on first impressions, I doubt we ever would. We understand it's still difficult to fully staff a place. However, this place was definitely fully staffed, which is great! But from our brief visit, it seemed most of the staff would rather socialize with each other than help their customers. Living in the area, when some place new opens, we like to be friendly and get to know the staff and the place itself by asking questions. Unfortunately, the two girls behind the counter were unable to answer any questions we had about the store itself or the food they offer, which was a really unfortunate first impression. They giggled loudly and talked mostly to each other rather than to us, finally giving us incorrect answers such as this cafe is not a chain (only found out later it was incorrect by a simple Google search) among other basic general questions. These are little things of course - but for a brand new establishment in Birmingham, friendly and knowledgeable staff go a long way in terms of long term return customers After what felt like pulling teeth trying to get some clarity about the pastries and to-go food, we went to pick out some at the "self serve" bar. A lot of the trays were empty, and there weren't any tongs or utensils in most of the shelves so we used our hands which everyone else seemed to be doing too. We went back to the counter to pay, and had to stand there for a bit while it appeared the girl behind it was busy on her phone. An older male off to the side finally asked if we had been helped, and when we said no, he said her name and she immediately came to assist us. The pastries and sandwiches we got were just okay - nothing great and if we went back, we wouldn't pick those ones out again. Not sure if they weren't fresh, or if just not up to our liking. The already packaged Korean dessert (cheesecake bar?) found at the register was the only item we enjoyed and would definitely get that again. Next time we go, we will probably try to go earlier, as based on other reviews it seems that's when they offer more of a selection. And may also try to sample the desserts behind the counter in the refrigerated section. Hopefully I can add an update then if this was just simply a bad first impression, and not how this place is usually run. read more

This is by far my favorite Korean bakery, and I am so happy this place has finally made it to MI. I stopped in the late afternoon, so was unable to get the full experience, but was happy with that I had. I was a bit shocked that unlike Tous Les Jours, there were no Korean or even Asians working at the time. I love their French pastries, but hope they put out some of the Korean style stuff. I did get my hands on a sweet potato bun and it was on point. Here's hoping they just ran out of the red bean stuff. Either way, good selection of western style pastries that taste as good as they look. A bit pricier than the local competition, but I am holding off full judgment until after I go in during the morning. Worth a try if you are walking around downtown Birmingham. read more

Maybe we came at a bad time because the selection was pretty sparse (we did come in around 6:30pm and I believe they close at 9). We settled on a slice of mocha cake, a coconut mochi donut, and an egg tart. I got an iced coffee and my husband got an iced latte. My coffee was literally the last of the cold coffee left in the jug they pour it from so there were coffee grounds at the bottom of my cup. It was a little off putting to get coffee grounds with each sip. The pastries were good, the mochi donut was best but $4 for a single donut is pretty steep. I would return if I'm in the area and maybe try some other items but I'm in no rush to go back read more

Went in early on a weekend morning. They hadn't finished putting out the products and most weren't labeled. I hope that was just because we were early, but even so the selection was way smaller than shown online. Honestly, i think they make their bake goods the day before or maybe even 2 days before. I came here a total of 3 times, once in the afternoon around 3pm and twice when they first open in the morning at 7AM. When I came at 7AM, they were still taking the trays of bake goods out from the kitchen, I got some and when I went to the registers, the cashier asked me if I wanted them warm up. "IF I WANTED IT WARMED UP" at 7AM? These bake good should already be hot because they should be freshly made in the morning. This is how I know that it is not made fresh daily. All my bakes goods were cold, again at 7AM, when it should be fresh and warm. I been to different Paris Baguette all over California and the one in Atlanta, and their bakes goods was so good and always made fresh. I actually like Paris better than Tous Les Jours due to the selections is more to my taste but HERE, in MICHIGAN, I like TOUS so much better because it is made fresh daily. I had a lot of my friends that said the same because we tried Paris in different states and here in Michigan, it is not that good. It is such a waste of money paying for something that you know it not made fresh. The reason why I went back 3 times total is because I wanted to give them another chance after chance, but i will not be coming back. read more

My friend was in the bathroom and we knocked to check on her and one of the workers from the back counter yelled at us in front of everyone, It was very disrespectful and rude. I happened to be the first customer on the first day the Birmingham location opened as we were excited to have a Paris Baguette. I downloaded the app and have been enjoying the goodies and discounts ever since. We loved the Manager and staff...so friendly and accommodating with everything. Today, I went in there and everyone is gone. They said that they bought it out and got rid of everyone. I didn't see one woman working in this store. No smiles, no friendly faces like there always was in a calm manner, just a bunch of guys running around and the shelves weren't stocked as they always had been. This store used to be completely filled and beautiful with an incredible team that greated you with a smile, a hello and always suggested items to try. Shame shame now, very sad!! read more

It's a chain so everything basically comes frozen and they bake it or at least that's what it tasted like. The franchise Owners don't care about how the place is as we wanted to sit down but it looked and felt dirty. I went to check out and purchase a croissant and a Muslim woman in a headscarf took a look at my Jewish star necklace and then laughed and snickered in Arabic to her coworker. Being in a highly Jewish area they are going to Alienate their customer base real soon! As I posted my story on FB I'm hearing more and more stories like Mine and worse and I'm surprised more people aren't posting about it here.
