Paris Baguette currently occupies the former Bishop Street Starbucks, which has been a fixture in the downtown Honolulu corridor for many years. I was disappointed when Paris Baguette moved in, but of course, change was inevitable. And so, when the grand opening was held, I saw a really long line when i was headed to the gym. After the gym, I got in line and decided to check things out. It was a small store that basically was a Korean fusion bakery that seemed pretty cool. The parent company has multiple locations outside of the United States and its origins in Seoul, South Korea. And so, I stood in line and waited for a chance to check things out here. For all intents and purposes, Paris baguette is a bakery. A bakery in the heart of downtown Honolulu. It was a cool idea to have this concept here to jazz up the community. It took me about 10 minutes for me to get in the door, but once I was in, it was need to just look around to see what the frenzy was about. I ended up spending about 10 minutes on what I wanted. And then selected what I wanted. Checking out was a breeze too. The portions of these cakes and breads were cute and the prices weren't as bad as I thought. They are priced properly and it is a nice addition to the downtown Honolulu community. It's a nice treat for me after working out at the nearby 24 Hour Fitness around the corner. Or on your way to work in and around downtown during the work week. The service here was friendly and nice. Hope to be back soon and see what more I can purchase. The location is perfect, although parking can be annoying. Best to come early enough to secure paid garage parking or street parking where you can find it. The overall experience here at Paris Baguette - downtown Honolulu was good and casual. The ambiance was nice but they don't have seating area inside the store, at least I didn't see any. There is a small seating area adjacent to the store, next to the parking garage ramp. I ended up purchasing a couple of pastries and a strawberry smoothie for my 1st time here. For the most part though, it is in a centralized location in downtown Honolulu, where you can find solace in pastries, coffee, and other products they serve here. The prices here are interesting and competitive. I used to think about $2.00 pastries at the local donut shop, but this place elevates it to be boutique level. Its fancy and elegant in its own way. If you find yourself here in downtown Honolulu and have a sweet tooth, consider coming down to Paris Baguette. Might just be your hidden gem for sweets and lattes. Con: I told the cashier about the gnats that were inside the showcase (where the pastries were arranged). The cashier said they know about it. They try treating it but it always comes back so nothing they can do. She didnt even attempt to go to the area to check it out or anything. I was like.... Okay. If it was me that was working there, and a customer told me that, I would at least make an attempt to try and catch it or act like i'm doing something about it. New bread shop in town! Or maybe it's because I'm new in town, but don't be surprised if you see me here at least once a week ^^; My husband and I drove past this place and he mentioned how he had been meaning to try this shop, which is out of character for him since he's not a breadshop kind of guy. Of course, I had to try it out for him (first) since I am the breadshop lover in this relationship. When you walk in, you can tell it's a little more high-end than most breadshops in Hawaii. BRUG and Epi-Ya have a mom and pop shop vibe, while this place - I'm assuming - is trying to emulate a bakery in Paris. It's got the high ceilings letting in a lot of light, and fancy furnishings keeping the pastries safe. You also can't forget the small baskets just adding to the ambiance of the place. My favorites so far are the vegan chocolate chip muffin and their crab meat croquette! Don't forget to get the croquette warmed up at the front. The first time I went in, the cashier didn't offer it to me, but the few times after I tried it, I either asked or was offered right away, so don't forget! Why is it only four stars? I just wish they offered more savory options, but that's my personal preference since most of their sweet treats are sugary enough (or look sugary enough) to last me a few days. I waited months until the crowd died down. I came on the weekend since it is more convenient and less busy on the streets. I was pretty excited to try their pastries since my first time with them was in Korea. I downloaded their app and got some coupons..woot! Nancy and her team were amazing! They were so kind and inviting from the moment we walked in! They definitely created a warm and welcoming environment! We got there towards the end of the day, but we were still able to get a good mix of pastries. Everything was so good! My daughter loooved the Strawberry Mochi Donut and the NY Cheese Tart. We also got a Peanut Crumb Bread and a Feuillete au Chocolate. My son, who can be picky, gobbled up everything he tried! Although the pastries were so yummy, we would come back just for the people and the service. I am writing to express my serious concern regarding the service at this Paris Baguette location. During my recent visit, the service was exceptionally inefficient, leading to significant delays; in fact, I witnessed another customer leave the store entirely due to the slow pace of service. Beyond the lack of speed, there was a major failure in basic food handling protocols. The staff member (a white young boy) assisting me handled my pastry with his bare hands immediately after handling money on the tray. This is a significant health and safety issue that should not occur in a food service establishment. I have unfortunately had poor experiences at Ala Moana location too and it appears there is a consistent issue with staff training and operational standards. I hope management addresses these lapses in hygiene and efficiency immediately, as my current experience was completely unacceptable. read more

Their choice of location in the heart of Downtown does make it very convenient for many though for the non-downtown local makes it a bit of a challenge though found myself having a day with my bestie who will explore wherever i go is a bonus as we did and without a single line outside was the perfect opportunity and embraced it. It was a Thursday morning and walking in hungry is a dangerous thing though with the varieties we've seen in wouldn't matter as it all was so beautiful and very selected items that just got our attention just looking at them. Love the how they displayed the many pastries in the cases so that many are able to view it easily without running to each other. Hash Brown Bread was the epic choice of the moment and we do love our hash browns which included ham, mozzarella and ketchup as well and can be heated as well making it a cute bougie brunch treat that we both enjoyed along with a few other items we got oh the smiles that and anticipation of enjoy the rest of the items was intense. They do have some seatings outside in various areas making it a great place to relax and enjoy your treats as many seem to do so but love the service which is friendly and packed everything so nicely. I tried quite of bit of pastries and iced coffee drinks once the line disappeared after few months of their grand opening. I am loving this Korean bakery especially in downtown where I work. They are little pricey but I'm willing to pay more for high quality and good taste. Thanks to Asian bakeries. Who wants to feel greasy and heavy after some pastry desserts? I'm also enjoying their iced milk coffee. I usually drink coffee without sugar but this drink is very light on sugar. So why 4 stars? The store space is pretty tight. With that said, speedy customer service would be helpful but it can be little challenging especially when you see staff just existing. Customer service would be a lot faster if we were in Korea but that's just too much to ask for. I was so excited to check out Paris baguette, especially because I had such a god experience in California. If you are already in downtown then it's super convenient since you can walk. But if you are driving specifically for the bakery, parking next to the bakery was expensive (like a lot of downtown) and the line was abut 20 minutes to go in. The bakery itself is quite small, you are walking a line around the big pastry case. I didn't really lie not being able to roam around the store, you just walked in line and grabbed things along the way. But there are so many different things to choose from, I wish I could grab more but we didn't need that many. The staff was also very nice in welcoming us at the door, the room was bright and everything placed very aesthetically. Everything we tried was very delicious but unless I'm already in downtown I wouldn't go out of my way to come because of parking and waiting. It was nice to try though! read more

Strategically situated on the corner of South King & Bishop Street, prime location within Honolulu's CBD. You'll easily locate them next door to Territorial Savings Bank. Why have I only visited there once? It's because it's right there as I enter and exit my workout sessions when I frequent 24 Hour Fitness in Downtown. Honestly, it's been hectic busy since it's grand opening and still has been a hit. Very difficult maneuvering in and out the store that they've added stanchions outside to allow so many customers into the store. Many seats arranged on the terrace to enjoy Downtown Honolulu's beautiful environment, the design of the Bishop Street store aligns with Paris Baguette's unique brand identity, featuring signature blue tiles. They have a lot of good options, which is fun and helps the experience. Customer service is nice. Ambiance is fresh and clean which is nice being able to see all of the fresh goods clearly. Paris Baguette has already made plans on opening more stores around Oahu including Ala Moana and Pearl City! They're also in other countries like France, the UK, Canada, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Malaysia operating over 550 stores in 10 countries while expanding their global footprint also in China. I've been to Paris Baguette (PB) before they opened their store in Honolulu late February 2024. True. I was impressed with PB. False. I had a great experience with PB in Honolulu. True. When I went to visit my pseudo siblings in NorCal last Labor Day weekend, I came across PB and bought an array of baked goodies, lunch and baguette for dinner. My pseudo siblings, who are also foodies, were not impressed with PB in comparison to 85°C Bakery. Perhaps that my palate is used to the Taiwanese pastries of utilizing certain ingredients. So, when PB opened on Bishop Street. I was in no rush to make my way over but would hear now the lines would snake down by 24 Hour Fitness. In early April, I had errands to run that led me in the financial district of downtown. After finishing my errands faster than anticipated, I passed by PB and saw a line of only 5 people outside so I decided to finally try them. Staff advises you when it's okay to enter so when I was given the green light, I put on gloves, grabbed a tray, lined it with parchment lining, and grabbed a pair of tongs. I grabbed a pair of pastries and also ordered an iced matcha latte. I was initially impressed with my first visit to PB as the pasties were better than what I recall from my NorCal experience. The cheese tart hit home run and I loved my iced matcha latte. That first trip to PB led to multiple visits after, which included inviting my sister and her family one morning. Hands down, our favorites are the ham and cheese croissant, strawberry and cream croissant, curry puff and mini eclairs. I'm a fan of egg salad sandwiches so I gave it a try and it was quite unexpected with the usage of Thai basil and bread crusts left on. I really enjoy the interior of PB as it's well lit and quite upbeat. Staff are very attentive and trained well in addressing the customer's needs and getting customers in and out quickly. I finally gave in by signing up of their rewards program to benefit from the multiple freebie perks. Overall, a very satisfying experience where I've been to PB many times now and will be back for more. 2/13/25- I remember standing in lines waiting to enter but now it's much calmer. Around 6:30am there's no lines so you can quickly enter the store and purchase your items. The quality of the pastries and coffee drinks have been consistently good. I do notice the customer service has gone down a little. The workers don't look that happy to be there nor do they acknowledge you especially if there's hardly any other customers there. The store itself is very small so there's a traffic jam when the workers are trying to stock items and you end up waiting behind them. Also, the tray area where you get a parchment liner is right by the door and often it's happened that I'm placing the liner and someone opens the door and there's a gush of wind that scatters everything. Obviously I'm not going to leave all that on the floor so I picked them up while a worker passed by. Also, I don't care for the updated rewards system. Before believe it was 50 points to redeem for a free pastry. Now it's increased to 75 points to redeem. So you're expected to spend $75 in order to get a free $4-5 pastry. I was going here almost 3x a week but due to the rewards points change & declining customer service, I no longer come as often. But their pastries are still very tasty. I had to come check out this spot due to my sister raving that it's new and supposed to be really great. We were lucky that we didn't have to stand in line outside but did have to stand in line inside. By the time we left, the line outside was super long! It's a really tiny shop with a variety of pastries, bread, and cakes. We had a few pastries and the baguette. I couldn't wait to eat the pastry with raspberries on top so I ate it right away. We went around 8:30am on a weekday and there were still a ton of pastries! I got the Quiche Lorraine, the Curry Croquette and the Pasteis de Nata. The quiche is made in flaky pastry rather than a tart shell, which I enjoyed. The other pastries, I'll eat for lunch. Be sure to sign up for their rewards program! Walked into the cute bakery cafe with my mom and 2 girls since we were in the neighborhood. Sanitized our hands and my girls placed a glove on to start loading goodies on to the tray. Mom grabbed 2 whole red bean bread and a twisted donut. She said it was delicious and liked that the twisted donut wasn't greasy. My girls each got a croissant with Nutella and devoured it! Made me want to try it next time. Girls grabbed their daddy a chocolate supreme croissant. Their dad liked how flaky it was and the balance of sweetness. So the morning of, we called them to reserve a cake and we were lucky that they had one available. We got their chocoholic chiffon cake this time and it was very delicious! The chocolate was very rich and decadent but the whole cake was still light and airy! I love the chocolate crisps on it as well. Idk how they do it but their cakes are always perfection! My all time fav cake here is their blueberry chiffon! It's such a light and airy cake, also not very sweet! So refreshing too! It's literally so perfect! I picked up an almond croissant, chocolate croissant, coffee bun and another type of almond paste pastry. I used my earned one free pastry coupon from PB. Walking into Paris Baguette in Downtown Honolulu feels like stepping into a pastry lover's dream. You don't just visit this place -- you experience it. I parked in the Executive Center today for an hour and a half and paid $12 for parking. They hubby and I tried a few of their pastries and a piece of cake. He also got a hot LavAzza coffee, which I really liked. It's coffee from Italy and the first time I tried it was in Vegas. He got the strawberry cream croissant and some of the butter cream buns. I got the St. Patty's Day mochi donut, cream cheese tart and curry fry. Everything was pretty good. The mochi donut had a nice chew to it. The curry fry had potatoes, carrots and corn. It contained no meat. My favorite of the day was the Tiramisu Mascarpone Cheesecake Piece $8.99. It had a nice texture and wasn't too sweet. However, It was really dense and filling. It was hard to know the names of the items. Many of the items were missing the description cards and prices. We just picked up what we thought looked good. Baked goods in Downtown, Honolulu, Hawaii... The Grand Opening of the First Paris Baguette in Hawaii was on 2-22-24, Thursday. I drove past the long line that wrapped around the building, and I kept going... A couple of days later, I saw the long line again and made a plan. My friend, Lily, said she was going to go on Sunday when street parking is free. Smart idea. I thought: I'm going to do better and go before 6am (opening time) on Sunday, so that I don't have to wait in line! The plan worked! At 5:50am, I parked right in front of the shop on Bishop Street. I was third in line! Another bonus: while I waited to enter the cozy, bright shop, I downloaded the app - which gave me a free pastry! Yippee! The door opened a bit before 6am. The guy in front of me put a glove on and grabbed a tray. I followed his example. If you want to get a box instead of a tray, they are available by the gloves. However, if you get a tray, the cashier will be able to see your items, and the staff will pack the pastries in a box for you. I took my goods to my mom's house and let everyone taste them. We warmed up the Crab croquette and ham & cheese pastry in the microwave as suggested - they were delicious! My youngest sister noted that the chocolate croissant had a chocolate bar in the middle! I was looking for a nice bday cake for a special person who always buys nice cakes for everyone else and has been to all the bakeries in town. Hmmm what to do ? Where to go? Thought it would be cool to check out this hot new bakery on Bishop Street that has people standing in line every day. You can view the cakes online, but Honolulu has yet to start with online ordering. Also they do not answer their phone, so do not try calling. I did a drive-by yesterday and was put off by the line. Looked at other bakeries and almost bought a very pricey torte at another place. At the last minute I decided to try PB again today at 8:30 AM Sunday. There was a line again, but I decided to pull up and take a gander anyway. Good thing I did!! Maybe because it was St. Patrick's Day and I was wearing my four leaf clover shirt, I got LUCKY! Cindy from corporate who was helping out and managing the line said I could order my cake without having to stand in line!! She took the order for my red velvet cake and told me to come back in 30 minutes. I was able to pay outside with my credit card. The lemon cream was delish and I liked the petite size because I felt less guilty eating it. They had cute St Patrick's Day mochi donuts but at $4.99 I decided to go with their chocolate bears ($2.99) for party favors instead. The red velvet got great reviews from everyone at the party! Soft, moist, light, the strawberry cream was so good I wanted to keep eating it whereas I usually scrape off excess cream when eating American cakes. It comes with lots of nice thick slices of strawberries! Thank you Cindy for the great customer service which prevented me from leaving! Parking is not easy when you're in town. The reason for my 4 stars instead of 5 is because of parking. You can find them at 1001 Bishop Street Honolulu HI. They are open Monday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. We got Pineapple Brulee Pastry, Strawberry Croissant, Smoked Sausage Bread, Fruit Bite topped with Raspberry, Fruit Pastry and Chocolate Almond Croissant. Just looking at the pastries made me smile and happier. Paris Baguette attention to detail is amazing! Their presentation of the pasties was beautifully displayed. After all the hype I had to try this bakery to check out the attraction. The lunch time line didn't look too bad. Only a 5-8 minute wait until I was inside. The interior was bright, clean with wonderful smells. One of the first things I noticed was the price. Steeper than most bakeries...$33 for a dozen macarons, $11 for a turkey sandwich, $5 filled croissants to start. For that price everything needs to be good. I honestly think the wait to pay took way too long..5-7 minutes standing there and waiting for an open register. There were only 2 registers and it appeared the backlog had to do with the cakes...people selected multiple cold items and one person packed up the slices. The cakes looked super delicious but unfortunately after waiting in line to look at the selections up close I just wanted out to get back to work. There seemed like there were 6 workers doing an array of responsibilities..overstaffed and crowded as it was with customers the workers made the space tighter. I ordered 6 things which came out to almost $35. Kinda a lot for afternoon pastries. The loaf of French bread was crunchy on outside and light on inside. The croissant was crunchy with a slight pull to each bite with dabs of chocolate. The powdered custard filled donut felt light and airy with a rich cream...decadent. Also picked up cute little sponge breads flavored in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry..yummy..textured differently from the Chinese types. All in all it was good and an experience waiting in line. Clocked in a total of 30 minutes from standing in line to exiting. Thought the cafe menu option with drinks a nice touch. Great there's lunch as well! I did see an egg salad sandwich! Maybe will stop by again when lines are shorter and priced lower. lol read more

No line! Let's go! Checked out this place for the first time! Cute shop! There were varieties of pastries, tarts, baguette sandwiches, cakes, etc. However they didn't meet my expectations. I know I know I should not compare with bakeries from Tokyo, Yokohama, Paris... I would like to try if they will sell hot, freshly baked bread straight from the oven. read more

The wife and I went to multiple Paris Baguettes on our numerous trips to Korea over the years. And we always loved their breads sandwich variety packs. So we were really happy when they surprisingly opened one in Hawaii. Today, we got a cake for Father's Day. Can't remember the name or description but it was delicious. It was just the right amount of sweet and not dense at all. I really hope their next location in Hawaii will have a parking lot though. read more

A co-worker and I we finally able to go to Paris Baguette (PB) to purchase some pastries for breakfast. Hah, no line outside the store, just lots of patrons inside. As it was our first visit, it was somewhat difficult to figure out what one wanted. So many items to choose from ... It will require follow-up visits because I was told I missed items I was looking for. I picked up three items ... An egg salad sandwich ($7.59), a chocolate croissant (it didn't look like one but that's what was on the display card, and I failed to record the price) and a ham / cheese pastry ($4.89). Almost $18 for three items! Sheesh! I saved the two pastries for another day and ate the egg salad sandwich. I'd been told that egg salad sandwiches from Japan are the best and what you could get at convenience stores in Japan are superior to what one could get in Hawaii. Uh, I didn't find that to be the case during my trip last October. The sandwich at the "lucky store" up the street was as good as what I found in Japan. Whoa, the PB sandwich is heavy and overflowing with egg salad. The plus: There is a lot of egg, probably two or three eggs in my sandwich. The minuses: Not enough mayonnaise and too much cucumber. Many people like to use as little mayo as possible ... Not me. The bread, although nice and soft, was bare of any mayo (or butter). As such, it lacked enough flavor for me. I would have preferred lettuce to the cucumber slices. The ham/cheese pastry was flaky and buttery but too subtle for me. I thought they forgot the ham ... I could see it in the bottom of the pastry, but it was thin like prosciutto. I think it would make a great sandwich if one added some type of filling. The saving grace for my experience was the chocolate croissant. I think it was mislabeled or someone placed this in the wrong place. It was like a round of flaky pastry with chocolate inside and topped with more chocolate frosting. WOW! I loved this but couldn't find it in any of the pictures on Yelp. I would return just for this pastry. My co-worker loved the cream filled almond croissant and he picked up a bag of mini croissants. Those need some type of jam or preserves. Thus, it's a mixed bag review from me. I didn't care for the egg salad sandwich but loved the chocolate whatever it is. I heard they're moving to Fort Street Mall. That will make it a little closer to our office. I think their cakes look amazing ... that might be my next purchase. read more

By now, you've probably seen a Frolic post or something on Instagram telling you about a new Parisian bakery etc etc, but how was it? Usually, there's a line outside so I haven't gone, but while waiting for my wife I decided to stop by. As is the case for anyone who doesn't live downtown, parking is parking. Harbor Court is close enough to walk, so I took the chance. At 3 PM there was no line and they were still putting out fresh pastry. Selection was good with the standard fare and some unique offerings. I got the pan choco, the choco croissant, a blueberry cream cheese danish, and a pineapple danish. The latter was the star truly. The flavor was unique and not too heavy. I do wish the pineapple was fresh instead of canned though. The wife devoured the blueberry cream cheese. The other two were fine but standard. If you take everyone's advice, you'll get one pastry free when you buy one. Otherwise, pastries are about $4 each which is not bad. Overall, a nice bakery. Will stop by again to see what's new from the oven. read more

Paris baguette is quite busy despite how inconvenient the location is. They're located next to 24 hour fitness in the downtown area so parking is pretty non existent. I think the best option for a weekday might be alii place or you can just wait for a Sunday and the street parking is free! I've been watching the line updates since it opened and tried to think of the best strategic option to go. I read that it was best to go earlier for more options, but also parking is probably easier the earlier you go too. I just knew I probably should be there before 9am, but there's no way I would ever do 6am since I have to work around my dogs feeding schedule. Lol. I was lucky a fellow foodie was also going on a Sunday and wanted to attempt going. He did not know that they just opened a few days prior and said downtown should be quiet. Jokes on him! Lol!! He actually got there about 10 mins earlier than I did and secured a spot. I think the wait was probably like 30 mins from where we were in line. There was a door person controlling how many people can go in at a time. Once you're in it was pretty fast as it was a grab and go, but the line to pay took the longest. I didn't eat any of my items yet, but they look really tasty. I'm curious to know if the savory items are on the sweeter side. You can also download the app for a free pastry too. There's a handful of tables outside if you wanted to hang out. I would normally shoot a bunch of pics with my dogs with the food if i had them since it was such a nice area outside. I was also very curious to know if they allowed dogs inside briefly. I didn't want to chance it with bringing them after searching for parking downtown + the wait so I left them at home. But I did see a lady walk in with a dog in her arms and another person with a dog in a bag. read more
