I picked the full size Hazelnut cake with Nutella & it was so delicious & well-received. There is ample seating & it was an inviting relaxed atmosphere even in the midst of Times Square. Lots & lots of options to choose from at Paris Baguettes but my favorite is any cake, croissant or chocolate twist pastries. Second next to Bryant's park, too small , pastries great, coffee again not their specialty. Third 7th Ave, and fourth at Scarsdale, the same. Ambiance good. After shopping and before we headed back to our hotel we had to stop in for a croissant. Paris Baguette has amazing pastries to choose from and the prices are right. Along with your pastry you can choose a hot coffee or tea. If you need a birthday cake or just a slice, this is the place to go. On this particular day we enjoyed an almond croissant. Cons: I originally ordered the watermelon refresher. And they gave me the mango refresher. They remade it. 5/5 for the pastries, since this is just one of the many locations of a national chain. BUT omg 0/5 for service and cake orders?! The folks here aren't particularly nice or... smart? Last time we came in to ask if we should order a birthday cake ahead of time or if we can just show up the next day to pick one up, and the cashier specifically said "I would recommend you place the order today for pickup tomorrow." So we did and asked them to customize the cake with a "Happy birthday, name" message. The following morning we arrived right after 8:30am, which was the pickup time we had specified, and they said the cake wasn't ready and asked us to wait. We waited by the front, and a lady was bagging up a gazillion cookies. AFTER she finished bagging up the cookies, she went to the back and a few minutes later emerged with our cake. Wait, she waited to bag up the cookies before she went to go fetch the cake, put it in a box, and give it to us?! At this point we've been waiting for 30 minutes but just glad we could leave, and then we realized the cake was plain and did not include the "Happy birthday, name" message we had requested. She went back to the back and I kid you not, about 10-15 minutes later emerged with the inscribed cake. We were dumbfounded that someone could be this efficient - to bag up dozenS of cookies and only then go pack our cake - when we were waiting right in front of her. The store had three other staff members at the front, so they weren't even shortstaffed! If you are thinking of ordering a cake ahead of time or would like a note on it, I would highly recommend you visit another Paris Baguette location because this location just does not understand it. read more

The food was good but the service was bad. The white and Mexican guys working there were rude. They wouldn't unlock the bathroom door despite us buying food. They said there is no code despite the bathroom door sign and the keypad at the door. When I mentioned that the bathroom door sign is misleading, they wouldn't agree. Behind me they started high fiving and chuckling. The Mexican guy said that I shouldn't have checked the receipt for the code but just asked them to open the door. He clearly needs a class in customer service. Also there are two bathrooms, out of which they keep one closed for employees only. I saw one employee use it. There wasn't a line so I went up and asked for assistance and the cashier was so nice and helpful. I went to get the pastry and returned to the cash register. There was no line either time which was surprising but nice. I don't remember the name of the pastry I got (but I took a picture beforehand) it was really nice and sweet towards the middle with the cream and jam and the fruit. Everything looked so good, at one point I had to stop myself from grabbing every desert I saw. You pick up whatever you want and put it on a tray (or a box id takeout). Then you bring to the checkout. Theres also area to sit down and eat. The place does get crowded often mainly because it's close to a lot of the tourist spots in the area. We often stop in this PB on the way to the theater district for a show. It's a great grab and go spot if you're looking to get something quick to eat before a show. Their selection is much larger than the one in KTown and we always find the goodies that we want here. The lines are long, but they always move very quickly. read more

Came in @9:30am - place is as busy as you would expect a coffee shop to be. It is self service - as soon as you walk in on your right you will see boxes, trays and tongs. You grab what you want and serve yourself and go to cashier to pay. There were SO MANY amazing looking options so I went with the basics: chocolate croissant, very berry pastry and a bacon, egg and cheese brioche. The croissant was very crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and full on chocolate, but not overwhelming. The very berry pastry was very delicious! I recommend both of these options. The bacon, egg and cheese brioche was a bit of a let down - it was toasted but the brioche bun got a little chewy once it was hot - also they forgot my bacon so it was just egg and cheese. :( I would definitely come back for some more sweets! read more

This was my favorite place for a quick cold lunch in a hot summer day in the city. I got the mochi donut- smooth, amazing texture. I also ordered the coconut mango chia pudding. This place gets packed. Really good coffee and tons of sweet treats plus hot and cold sandwiches to pick from. For as busy as this place was at 8:30am the line moved fast. 3.5 stars. This location of Paris Baguette is one of two in a two block radius on the south end of the Times Square area. This one is slightly bigger in main floor plan area but the one on 7th Ave between 40th and 41st has a couple small spaces with seating areas in the two floors above the main bakery space. Since covid, they closed and reopened recently with limited hours for takeout only, and there is no indoor seating allowed. The employees where masks and there is hand sanitizer available. As for the bakery products the croissants (mini and regular), pan aux raisins, and other danish-style offerings are ok, best when fresh in the morning hours of the day, I would say pretty average in terms of execution, better than your average breakfast street vendor or grocery store pastry, but not as good as some of the higher end French bakeries. It's convenient if you're craving a French-style pastry and happen to be in the area. Their coffee options are ok, but there are better options in the area. This location carries more to-go lunch options than some other locations, items like parfaits, sandwiches, salads and soups though I haven't personally tried these. Prior to covid the display case where sandwiches were kept didn't have a cover only a front glass panel so sometimes I saw a couple flies in the summer. Though now with covid I think they are wrapping/covering all the items. What they do very consistently is their cakes --neat and elegantly decorated, very consistent texture and taste, light and fluffy sponge cake with whipped cream frosting and fresh fruit in a similar style to most Asian bakeries. I've picked up several cakes here for friends birthdays and the fruit topping is always fresh, and prices are pretty good for the relative cake sizes. read more

We tried their vanilla ice coffees with almond milk and a cookies & cream croissant as well as a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. The food was very tasty. The croissant was stuffed with filling and the breakfast sandwich was hot and savory. One star down, however, for the coffee.
