I placed an order for pickup for some food from this restaurant. I ordered a chicken wrap and a burger, to bring home too eat. Both of these meals were just average. Nothing special about the chicken wrap. The fries were pretty good though. I liked the burger the best between both meals. Pretty much your standard dinner burger. We went on Father's Day, did the buffet, and the service was horrible. It started off okay, we got our drinks quickly and there was plenty of food up there. But later, the trays were emptying and all of a sudden there was hardly any food up there. They were even out of plates at one point. My grandfather and mother went to ask to fill things up, and the first two things that were filled were breakfast potatoes and home fries, which already had food in them! They prioritized that over the empty trays! The food was meh as well. The chicken nuggets and hash browns were good. Corned beef hash came straight from a can which is never good. Some trays did not have enough tongs. And for the pancakes, they had chocolate sauce, white chocolate sauce, and caramel in big bottles. How are you supposed to control how much to take? Breakfast buffet was horrible.. sausage gravy was sour and most of the trays were empty and the food that was not even cooked all the way or over cooked... sunny side up eggs in water... really... bacon still raw tater tots hard... pork roll... we asked for our money back and they were gonna give us 50% of our money rather than all of it we didn't even stay to eat or anything. Complete Collapse of a Once-Decent Diner Do not waste your time or money at Town & Country Diner. We went on Christmas Eve solely because they were open until 10 PM, unlike almost every other place. We had no food at home and thought we could rely on a diner that's been around for years and used to be good. That was a huge mistake. By 8 PM the parking lot had three cars in it, and inside there was one lonely customer sitting in the back corner. Now I understand why. The menu was a joke. No prime rib. No corned beef. No pastrami. No Reuben. No steaks. No seafood other than salmon. According to the waitress, most of the menu was unavailable. What was available? A few chicken dishes or pork chops. The pork chops were an embarrassment. Paper-thin, completely flavorless, and slapped on top of three slices of plain white bread like an afterthought. No bone, no seasoning, no substance. These looked like something that cost a couple dollars at a discount grocery store, not a diner entrée. My friend ordered a hamburger that came out raw in the middle. Not undercooked -- raw. That alone should shut a kitchen down for the night. Sides were just as pathetic. Mashed potatoes arrived in a tiny bowl, completely bland. The only vegetable option was corn -- also flavorless. No choices, no effort, no pride in the food. I used to eat here over 10 years ago, back when they served quality items like soft-shell crabs and actual diner classics. That place is gone. Apparently there are new owners, and if this is what they're putting out, it's no surprise the place was empty on a major holiday. They claim they're "busy during the day," but based on this experience, that's hard to believe. This was hands down the worst holiday diner experience I've ever had. From start to finish, everything was seamless, beautiful, and full of warm hospitality. For awhile things weren't going to well, but the new servers are fantastic and have really made a huge impact. Maybe they got a new cook too?. They are very helpful, welcoming and get the importance of ensuring you get what you ordered and serve quality food. We stayed away for months and decided to give it another go and our meals were very good. Hopefully this will continue in the right direction. Their specials are great prices and they offer a lot for the money. Next review I hope to be higher, but for now until we go back again it is a solid 3 1/2. Stopped by for there Saturday/Sunday breakfast brunch buffet. It was very disappointing and i would never go back. Food looked terrible, I should have gone with my gut instinct and walked out before making a plate. The food clearly was sitting out since 9am and was not replenished, it was crusty and dry. Half of the selections had 1/2 a scoop left and some were completely empty. Definitely not worth the $18 price tag they charge, not even close. The fruit had fruit flies all over it. We had my daughter's quinceañera there, and the staff was great. The food was so good, and they supplied enough for my guests to take some home. My salad was very watery and the lettuce was wilted. However, the split pea soup was good and the eggplant parmesan was fresh and portion size was huge! The entree also came with pudding. Second visit here last night. First one was ok to good, food was adequate , service good , but wait was long for the food. Owner applied a generous coupon I had overlooked so I said we'd come back. Last night at 6:00 pm my wife and I went back and ordered two omelets. The waitress was friendly, as time marched on kept checking on the order and saying "soon." Finally at 6:40 pm the food was served. 40 minutes! The place was about half full at the time . When we paid, the manager or owner never asked how things were, but did grumble about being there from 7:00 am . This place has some things to fix or it won't survive. Our Christmas plans were changed last minute and we were looking for a place to eat dinner. We saw that Town and. Country was open and we choose to go there. There was a insert with weekend specials listed, we deceided there was food there that we liked.. My date had the Turkey which came with the soup..salad....and choice of vegetables. The broccoli was extreamly undercooked along with the stuffing was overcooked and mushy. The baked potato was not fully cooked. I had the baked Italian lasagna which for the most part was ok. Except for the hard edges. Both meals came with a nice salad. We had French Onion soup which was hot and tasty. For a normal upcharge. We both chose rice pudding which was undercooked and was very fluidly. Upon paying the bill we were asked how our meal was and we told the person of our finding,it did not seem to phase him as if he has heard the same before. The server was fantastic and since this was after 6pm and she was working since 8am. When we were there she was the only server and at time the busser chipped in to help along with someone else. Had a great time with my family here. We had a very sweet server , Nicole , who had a great attitude and was working so hard ! We were a party of six and for the most part we enjoyed our choices .. shrimp scampi very good.. Caesar salad ., fresh and perfect. This place is just weird. We got the weirdest vibe being in here, like it may have been a great place in the 80's and now it's just... odd. The food was very mediocre in taste and texture (we ordered breakfast for dinner). Hard to explain, but it didn't taste fresh is the only way to describe it.
