What a wonderful experience I had with Cameron from Parker and Sons. Cameron was courteous, kind and a joy to visit with. He is a hard worker, takes pride in his work and did a fabulous job with my service. He even offered to switch out my HVAC filters, because they were dirty. It is nice to see service workers that have a wonderful personality, explain what they are doing and listens to your health concerns with asthma, allergies and dust. They were able to schedule us quicker than I expected. Called on a Friday and they were here early on Monday morning. Christopher called just before arriving and showed up per his scheduled time. Chris is a pleasant guy and after a brief chat he got to work. He did a great job! He determined that we needed a new wax seal and had one on the truck. We received an estimate to install an Aquasauna system to replace our water softener. The quote was for $669, which was verbal, never provided in writing. I showed the technician the exact system we purchased from our actual order which is: Rhino® 600,000 Gallons with Salt-Free Water Conditioner I was concerned that the estimate was never provided in writing, so I emailed in order to confirm the exact estimate. We scheduled a time for the work to be done, 3 hours into the appointment window with no one showing up, we called and were told the appointment was never actually scheduled. That was frustrating, but mistakes happen. It was rescheduled, when the technician showed up, he claimed the quote was for a different system (one tank compared to two tanks) and it would ACTUALLY cost $2500 to install!! How is it possible the install quote increased by almost 4x? There is NO way the actual install times takes four times as long. We were quoted almost the exact same amount from a competitor for the install AND provide the Aquasauna system (which we paid $1400 for). So, let's see. Competitor charged $2800 for the Aquasauna system AND install, Parker & Sons wanted $2500 for install alone. The install takes, at most, 3 hours. So, Parker & Sons is charging $833/hour. Even the best lawyers don't make that much! I'm still flabbergasted that they're charging almost 4 times the labor time for what might take an additional 30 minutes to an hour (at most). We're having it done for $600 from another company. Stay very far away from this company. read more

I recently had a lot of work done by Parker and overall I was very impressed. I had a full home rewire and my lead electrician and PM was Liam. He was excellent. The project finished ahead of schedule and the results were great. There were a few minor issues I didn't notice until a couple days later and Liam was out personally the next day to fix all of them. Cons: the drywall repair teams quit was over 3x a normal drywall company. I'd recommend Greg Professional Home Improvement for that kind of work. Their quote for a water heater replacement was very pricy. I bought the water heater myself and had them install it. This was a much better value. I highly recommend going that way. read more

My mother in law lives in Mesa Az and is 78 years old. Her AC went out so we (who live in Fla) called this company. They charged over $1330 to recharge the AC that had a hole in the coil, they said it may last a few days, but they could repair it for $7000. We asked how much to replace, they quoted $13300. We called another company JMAC that did it for $8900, which was the average cost for that area on a 5 ton unit. This company Parker and Sons should be ashamed of themselves by overcharging and elderly person like this. They need to reimburse the $1300 and make things right. From the first phone call to the after the job is completed follow up this is a company that is run like the most important thing to them is INTEGRITY first. After all, the OWNERS name is at stake. The professional demeanor and appearance of all the technicians I've dealt with has been one of COMMUNICATION. I've never felt as though I was "being sold" but rather what is most important in the long run for my two biggest financial investments that are these homes. I've used other companies initially when I bought 12 years ago but everytime I was wondering if the job was really done well. With Parker and Sons..... it would be amazing if it wasn't. The jobs are done by techs who know their business and are able to give you options on the repairs. My most recent electrical job wasn't cheap. ID BE WORRIED IF IT WAS. But it was a good value for the level of clean, courteous workmanship. Cognitive Dissonance? No way. BEWARE OF THE COMPANY. THEY ARE A SCAM. ABYSMAL POOR SERVICE AND CONDESCENDING ATTITUDES I have been a customer of this company for well over 15+ years. Not much longer. Today was the final straw. I have a maintenance contract with them (Have had several of them over the years) for A/C services. Bought a 12k Lennox unit from them prior. I had scheduled an appointment back in July for November knowing that the summertime is impossible for these poor repair folks in the field. It was the first appointment of the day 8-10 am window. Of course i received a text yesterday telling me they would be here and please be home when they call in the am. I'm sure you can figure the rest of the story. No call and no show. When i called at 1100 am to find out why no show or no call i got the same old song and dance that they called and no one answered so the office also called after their tech and then they moved on. This happens each and every time they either have a tech who doesn't want to get up early or some other party comes along. I don't usually write reviews, but this one is for all to know. A week ago, i got a call confirming my appointment today and also wanting to sell me some other part of the contract to take advantage of. Wasn't interested in taking advantage of that but did share i was wanting the tech to validate as i was ready to purchase a brand new unit. I have a Lennox high end unit and wanted to get some input as to make a business decision. Guess what i made it. As a retired sheet metal/refrigeration journeyman, it is really sad to see and in my opinion your predatory practices for possible new customers and I wonder on your existing customers, I now understand now how you built a 210 million dollar company. On Jan 1, 2024, I called Parker & Sons at about 5:00pm because my heating was not working correctly and had a condenser fan motor that was running all the time. I had done a quick check to see if I could see the problem as I am limited in what I can do, do to back issues and traced it back to the defrost circuit board. When I called I was given and appointment of between 6:00p to 8:00p and I was told that there would be a diagnostic fee of $79.00. When your tech did not show, I called again at about 8:10p and was told that he was still on the last job and I was the next call. So I waited. At 5:17a on Jan 2nd, I received a text to apologize for not making it out and for me to call and reschedule. I guess this negates you being out in minutes as advertised on your website. I did call back in and was told that a tech would be out in between 8a and 10a on Jan 2nd and he showed about 8:10a and went up to look at the unit. After, about 15 minutes he came back down and said it was the circuit board and I asked how much and was given a verbal quote of $2000.00 to replace the circuit board. I asked the tech are you kidding me, $2000.00 dollars to replace a $200.00 circuit board. I told him I will not be priced gouged and so I gave him a check for $79.00 dollars. I immediately came in and call them back to speak to a manager about this price gouging and was told a manager would call me. I did find another company Wahl Air Conditioning that could do the board and I explained that is what I thought it was and that is was confirmed by the tech from Parker& Sons. This company gave me a price of $395.00 board included to install it. So I approved the install. When this other company came out they installed the board based on what was given them and it did not resolve the issue, so they checked the system and found that the actual problem was a burnt wire under the condenser fan motor which was shorting to ground and completing the circuit causing the condenser fan motor to continue to run. Once this was fix, the unit worked correctly. I call Parker & Sons back to speak to a manager again and demanded my money back as their tech did not thoroughly diagnose the problem as he was paid to do. According to him he tapped on the circuit board and the motor did not stop. Had he checked the all the wiring, he would have seen the problem. As of this writing, I have still not heard back from Parker & Sons. read more

A know the majority of the work force now day's you really can't rely on. We have been dealing with Parker & Sons for 15 years and the customer service, techs, plumbers, HVAC Team, Insulation Team (attic replacement) have all gone beyond the service required. Only problem I have had was with the last inspection, his computer/laptop was new to him and it did not take my payment, but got that one figured quickly! Only on recommendation that they carry a small shop vac to clean up after digging around the attic after services. read more

Nothing got "lost in the matrix". Any viable business that needs to use the word "matrix" as an excuse as to why they're receiving a negative review, well, common sense should prevail to you as the consumer. We asked them to give us an estimate on a water heater replacement and an estimate for a water softener. Let's start with the water softener nerd first, shall we? This dude comes out to our house last Friday and we're expecting him like any normal business to give us some literature, see that our house is barely 1,300 sq. feet and write us a quick estimate. Nope. The dude tells us WHY we need a water softener (we're in Arizona, genuis. We called you because we KNOW we need a water softener). He goes into the history of the water quality here in Arizona, discusses the water process in the city of Phoenix and basically proceeds to write a book for my wife and I. 90-minutes later, we finally had to interrupt this dude and tell him we did not expect a slideshow and Powerpoint presentation on the molecular structure of the water quality in Phoenix. Tell us the dollar figure and GTFO. He spouted off some bullshit answer of $8,200 and after basically laughing in his ass, we escorted him out our front door. Horrible waste of our time and his. Called (3) other viable businesses here in Arizona. Got three QUICK estimates for water softener systems and are having one installed next week which is basically 70% cheaper than these losers. Next, they were supposed to be here two weeks ago to do an estimate for our water heater replacement. We got the typical bullshit time estimate between 10a - 2p. 20-minutes to 2 o'clock the dude calls and says he's not coming. LOLOLOL. We re-schedule for last week. He finally waddles up the driveway and looks at our water heater and says the whole thing is "out of code". He says in order to replace it, he would need to install a bunch of other bullshit like pour a new foundation and install a new roof and add on another bedroom to our home in order to get this water heater replaced. He quoted us $3,000. LOLOLOLOL. First of all, we just bought this house three years ago and since we had one of the top, most prominent home inspectors in the Valley do our home inspection, I would think he would have mentioned the fact that "our entire water heater system is out of code." So just for shits and giggles, I called our home inspector back to our house since he lives near by and got two other water heater estimates from other viable businesses here in the Valley. I told the home inspector that Parker & Sons said the whole water heater system is out of code. He quite literally laughed out loud and said that he's heard nothing but horrible things about their shady business practices and has no idea what they're talking about. He assured me no part of our water heater system is "out of code". I thanked him for his time and assumed that was the case. Next, we had two other local business come out and give us estimates to have our water heater replaced. We got a Rheem PRO with a 9-year warranty installed yesterday by a local business for $985. LOLOLOL. It was installed the same way and I have a contract and written receipt indicating nothing is "out of code". If you want to get ripped off and love having your time wasted, by all means - call Parker & Sons. It sounds like they're the right business for the job! So glad we didn't use them. Horrible experience do your research before you use them. Homedepot set up a visit with parker & Son for an install price for a water heater Joseph shows up to my home. I open the door, he introduces himself. He asked me if I wanted him to wear a mask. When I was told they would show up in a mask and shoe coverings guess not. I told him no since he was already at the door, To come in and give me a price. After 10 minutes or so looking at my water heater and asking questions. The prices begin and of course he started with the most expensive. When I was interested in the most expensive and questioning why things got added for example ( a thermal expansion tank) I was told its mandatory. I found out later on from another plumbing company it was not. When Joe realizes he was not going to up sell me, I made it clear that I will be returning to homedepot to make my purchase. He started to bad mouth homedepot. How he hears about the poor customer service they provide along with false information. Also that the pricing that he is giving me, that information doesn't go to the store. After several minutes of back and forth arguing. I asked him to leave my home and I will work with homedepot thank you. As joe walks out he said good luck with your problem and laughed. Do your homework when it comes to Parker and Son they are crooks, they are not following CDC guidelines or safe practices, customer service is horrible. We had work done to our HVAC system back in June. They were very quick in the beginning to give us an estimate, explain our options, and get started on the work. When the installers showed up, they told us some of the work that was scheduled to be done was not necessary so they did not do that work. We then received calls from Parker and Sons saying they (the installers) should not have told us that and were not authorized to make that decision and they would like to complete the work (so we will pay the bill). I have called 5 times to schedule this work and had their customer service and their answering service mark my messages as URGENT. I was told my first message was sent to TJ, a manager at Parker and Sons. I never heard from TJ or anyone else from this company. I have since called back 4 more times and no response. At this point, i have lost all faith in this company and do not believe the work will get completed. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!! read more

Parker and Son's not sure if a subsidiary of Home Depot but I like this company. Started with hot water heater that needed to be replaced in our garage. This was an emergence since we did not know in advance that the hot water heater was going to decide to quit working and I am not one for cold showers! Parker and Son's gave us choices and prices. We went with their recommendation, and all has been well. Keep up with maintenance now as well. Hot water still going. Next, we knew our AC System was original to house. It was still going strong, had given us a few issues that hubby fixed, but it was still going. This was one thing I did not to deal with going out and being hot! We call Parker and Son's and they sent out a person to give an estimate. Person was nice, courteous, and knowledgeable. Got set up for a new unit to be installed. Crew was ready and everything was timed so well. Had the old one out and the new one installed quickly and efficiently. Brought everything up to code as well. In the dragging old unit and new unit in and out, the access door was beat up, very slightly in the install. It was not enough for us to lose sleep over. But that was not acceptable to Parker and Son's. Parker and Son's had someone out to repair it and it looks better than when we moved in! Just another reason we keep coming back to Parker and Son's. They do their job and then extra. Next we wanted our garage insulated. We brought in Parker and Son's and again incredibly happy with the outcome. We only get to our AZ home a few times a year- when we last left here in November we had turned off our reverse osmosis system- when we recently came out again I turned it on but noticed our ice maker was not making ice-- a quick call got service tech Roy out within a day who showed me another valve I had forgotten to turn on and now ice maker works fine. We didn't even get charged for this service call. Roy was also the one who installed our system last November. A most pleasant tech who is very customer oriented. Do your homework and read the reviews, is hindsight for us but wish we would have. After being with them for quite some time and paying $11 a month as part of their "family" plan we got took on up-sales on a part that wasn't even necessary and charged us over $600 for a $55 part. Our A/C needed some maintenance in Feb 2019 when we were advised we needed a Compressor starter kit and other items, we trusted them, fast forward to July 3rd A/C went out over $1300 later, a/c working again (which looked up after seeing invoice for replacement parts well under $200), then on July 8 a/c went out again! The afore mentioned compressor starter kit for over $600 apparently just stopped working and was quote a faulty item which kept compressor from kicking on and over 14 hours later to get someone out and tech was more than happy to want to sell us another one for $500 for a part that is not even needed to make the a/c run! I get that companies need to at least double the cost of products to make a profit, but over $600 for a $55 part is unethical. We have canceled our monthly "family" subscription and have emailed and sent letter to Parker and Sons over this practice. Given what we know now can only warn others to do your research. July 10th update: I received a call from Daniel at Parker and Sons today and we discussed my review. We both came out of it with better understanding of how their invoices relay to the customer what appears to be a price gouge on parts and he explained how their invoice process works of combining the labor and any parts prices together. I strongly encouraged Daniel to have invoices in terms that are better for the customers understanding of parts and labor as their current invoices only upset their customers as their are many of the same comments/complaints in different forums. read more

I have always had good experiences with customer service- From my initial phone call to my appointments. I want to give a shout out to: Richard Howell: My Electrician who did work on my Electric panel He explained everything to me- took photo's- gave me option of things to be done etc... Richard was very patient & answered all my questions. Darrell Yazzie: My HVAC technician who did my inspection. He also took photo's- explained the condition of my HVAC unit. Darrell was very thorough in his inspection & he was also very patient answering my questions Jessy Escalona & Diego: They were my installers for my New HVAC unit I was very impressed how they took care in using several Tarps to cover my flooring- stairs- Hallways . Being my attic is in my bedroom - they covered my bed with Plastic wrap to avoid any dust / debris from getting on anything. It is a very detailed job & they were very Professional. When they completed the job- they explained the use of my new unit / Thermostat in Detail & also answered all my questions. I have always had good experiences with P & S. I will continue to use them. We had to replace our AC unit late July, bad timing in Phx. The installation was great. Price was reasonable considering we had to replace the air handler, some electrical stuff and ducting. Parker and Sons recommended a ducting evaluation because the testing on the installation came up a little short so we wanted to know what we were dealing with. I understand they may contract out for these evals. But it seems that no one is concerned about customer service now that we signed the dotted line, had everything installed, and set up payments. We have called Parker and Sons 3 times to set up and schedule said eval. All 3 times no one showed up and no one called to inform us that they couldn't make it. Parker and Sons never called to say sorry we can't make it and can we reschedule. At the moment we will not recommend these guys to others. read more

I cannot express the gratitude and appreciation we have over a simple visit by Parker & Sons and their plumber James Wallace. We owe our safety, maybe even our lives to his keen observation. While trouble shooting a pressure issue with a kitchen fixture, James inspected the gas hot water heater in a storage closet within the house. It was there he discovered a missing pipe meant to carry out carbonmonoxide....Carbonmonoxide! I can only state the obvious. The hot water heater was I installed a couple years ago and our only saving grace is we keep that closet door closed all the time. That's why we're still hear today. I give 1 star to the equipment that was installed in our home, a water softener. After just four years, without high water pressure or any other foreseeable risk, the container sprung a leak and drained the water out to the street. In the repair process, the connector pieces that enable the system to be in service or in bypass mode leaked. We had three separate service calls to get this addressed. The 1 star is for poor materials. Parker & Sons should consider more durable materials to install. However, biggest praise for Tony the technician. He deserves a 5+ rating as a most caring, dedicated, and knowledgeable professional.
