Furnace and air conditioning installed by Parker&sons's a year and half ago. The smart thermostat that was installed started having issues. Got ahold them and they came the next day. Matt the service tech was great. He explained the issue and replaced the thermostat with a new one (different brand). Definitely made the right decision in choosing Parker&sons. read more

I got a call from my wife at 6:00pm that our AC wasn't working and it was 108 degrees outside. I called the 5 closest places that were highly rated on Yelp but they were all closed or would only come the next morning. As if I wanted to sleep in my house at 86+ degrees? Since Costco recommends Parker and Sons we have them a call and they were at our house in 90 minutes. Bill Anderson provided amazing customer service and had the problem solved in no time. I didn't have to pay to stay at a hotel and then pay for someone else for my AC the next morning. Problem solved. Now I get to go to bed in my own house, cool house that is!! read more

It's 9:30 pm, we've been waiting for Parker and Sons for a 6 to 8 pm appointment for the 3rd appointment in 3 weeks because they can't find a problem. We bought our Ac through Costco 8 years ago, comes w a 10 year warranty. The house won't cool below 82 degrees, we have it set at 79. They suggested a $5k warrantied repair three weeks ago which didn't solve the problem. We had two guys here for 3 hours last week who basically told us it's hotter in AZ now so the units can't cool like they used to. We asked for a senior tech to come out today and it looks like they will be a no show. We also were supposed to have scheduled maintenance the other day that they force you to have to maintain the warranty and they cancelled the appointment on me. Don't ever buy a unit through Costco and have to deal with this company. Oh and I forgot to mention that the guy who did the $5k repair three weeks ago broke three shelves in our closet and never told us (we were out of town at the time and our son let him in, the guy never said a word about it) they are reimbursing us $177 for new shelves. This company is a nightmare. Don't do business with them. read more

I have used Parker & sons for several years but their service is becoming terrible. I scheduled a maintenance and health check for m my AC unit that they installed. On the day of the health check, they changed the start time three times during the day and finally never showed up. They later left a message telling me I had to reschedule for another date. 4 days after they were supposed to check my system, it failed completely. When I called them for emergency support they informed me it would be 3 days before they could send someone out. To make matters worse, I had just renewed my premier support contract with them for an other 3 years. What a complete waste of money that was. i now have to find another company to come out on the weekend or check into a hotel as the day time temps are forecasted to be 108. read more

I can't speak for the quality of work they do because they never showed up. Two appointments, two no shows. They said they would come on Saturday and give a call a half hour before they came as a heads up so I hung around the house all day. Nothing. At 8 PM a technician called saying he was in Tempe and could come around 930 at night if it was an emergency and he didn't know why the case was given to him as he does not even work in my area. I said it was not an emergency and 9:30 PM was too late. He did apologize for the mixup and said that we were first on the list for 8 AM on Monday. It is now 10 AM on Monday and I just called them and they did not know what was going on and we were not on the list for today. They were not apologetic and didn't seem to care when I said that I did not want to reschedule for third time. So either they are too busy to have good customer service, or they are just completely confused and don't really care about making customers wait for days. I am Yelping about Parker & Sons. I am in a dispute with them over being charged for a subscription service which I never signed for! After several months I realized I was being charged $20 a month plus another charge of $89 for which I have no idea! Of course I put these charges into dispute with my credit card company. I also had to cancel my card so that I would be charged more! I contacted them and was assured the matter would promptly be taken care of. It was not. I pay my bills routinely and have a FICO score of around 800. I just hope Parker & Sons will resolve this issue and not further tarnish their reputation. If they do the right thing then I will remove this complaint. read more

Every time I have to call them, I regret buying my HVAC system from them. Their technicians will lie to your face. Their customer support team has no clue what the guys in the field are doing or saying. There was a time when this was a decent company, but they have just gotten progressively worse. I bought two brand new house, had my yearly check on my first one after having my appt rescheduled a combined 5 times and when they left my AC to the bedroom and living room was non existent. I tried to troubleshoot but know nothing about AC. I had them recalled to come out and another guy went into attic and was up there for about 30 mins and came back down and said it was the panel and quoted me $1300. It seemed so odd on the timing of not only the panel on a brand new unit being damaged but the unit not working after the first time they were here. After he left spent more time troubleshooting the actual thermostats and decided what the heck I'm going to look into the attic myself and check things out. To say I am upset is an understatement. I saw one of the motors just hanging by the electrical cord, the big black tube was folded in on itself AND the panel door was on the ground along with the cover to the black thing with the door and motor inside. You guys must be blind. What a forking joke, both the first and second person just left that there where it could have ended up in a fire and was a very easy thing to see as you face it when coming into the attic. It's like what, you bring an old faulty panel with you and lift up the wire and fix the black tubing and pretend to fix it all while pocketing $1300, yeah you guys are fired and never allowed back in my homes! I have a couple properties and I'm appalled by the level of service I received! Had I not went up there I would have been robbed, I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy and I'm lodging a formal complaint with Home Depot as they also need to be aware they are doing business with criminals. read more

I have a home maintenance contract with Parker & Sons. Every time I call them, they are responsive and reliable. Most recently, Randy serviced my air conditioner. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I was very happy with the way he listened to my concerns, offered alternatives, and made the necessary repairs. He made the repairs as reasonably priced as he could by finding my warranty information. I highly recommend this company. Each of the departments (electrical, plumbing and HVAC) I needed provided respectful, knowledgeable and skilled people who completed the task. I trust the company as a whole. read more

This was the second time we've experienced Parker & Sons service. The first time, in September 2020, they did a wonderful job installing an Ecowater system and RO system for us. Both the sales consultant and the tech who did the work were first class. Monday, an alert went off re: the Ecowater system. We had a water line leak in December 2020 and we called Parker & Son's to come repair it. The plumber that came out was a nice guy. It took him a very long time (over 4 hours) to repiar the leak. He was having trouble. He eventually got it to stop leaking. Now in August 2021 the leak came back. I called Parker & Son's and was told by the young lady on the phone that they "stand by their work" and that they would take care of it. I got off the phone feeling pretty good. When the plumber got there, I showed him where the leak was and right a way he started to hesitate about fixing the leak. Next thing I know, he is quoting me a price of $6,400 to fix what I had paid them to fix last December. I felt like I was the sucker of the biggest "bait-and-switch" ever. My suggestion is use any plumbing company EXCEPT Parker & Son's. read more

I had my AC unit go out and made the call. I had a tech come out and found my AC unit has given up on Wednesday. Sales Nathan Sowa came out and gave us many options for the next step. Nathan went over every AC option and what would be best for us. Very professional and worked for my families best option. We went forward and had them installed on Friday. I needed a gas line run to a new barbecue island I was having installed. Called several plumbers. Some got back to me, some didn't. The gentleman that came to my home from Parker and Sons to give me an estimate, was pleasant, cordial, businesslike and efficient. He provided an estimate while he was still at my home and I told him I'd get back to him. We ultimately used Parker and Sons and the same person (Steve) did the work, came to meet the inspector as the job had to have a city permit and backfilled the excavation after city approval was obtained. He did all the work start to finish. Steve always called or texted regarding appointments for which he was always on time, was always well mannered and respectful. I'm a new resident of Scottsdale, but will always call Parker and Sons for any plumbing matters I may have. Importantly, their price was competitive as well and lower than some of the others. By comparison, the person from another company that came to give me an estimate was rude, critical of several items about the bbq island which had nothing to do with plumbing and wanted to charge me over $150 for the estimate. I of course refused to pay. He left. I wont be calling them back any time soon. Parker and Sons is the way to go!!!! read more

These guys are terrific. They replaced my old HVAC condenser and air handler with new ones from Lennox, and on New Year's Eve if you can believe that. They showed up on time, and finished early. After a few days of cold weather and steady use of the new system, they called to ask if everything was all right. I was concerned about the noise from one of the ducts, so the service rep came out right away and made some adjustments which fixed the problem. While he was still in the house, he commented that there was some vibration in the exterior wall nearest the condenser, so he called for a team to fix it. This was old plumbing and not something they had installed themselves. The specialists came out and buried the plumbing from the condenser to the house which fixed that problem, and at no charge. All in all, I can't say enough about these guys - they are great and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Micah came to phx residence and he was PERFECT. He came to do plumbing maintenance which essentially included heater check and checking in home plumbing. He checked each and every fuacet, pipes, leaks, connections and showed me any issue with his smart phone light. He took pictures of all plumbing in bathrooms, kitchen and toilets. I know all about my home plumbing now. I actually fixed a few clogged drains yesterday as he explained so well. He did not hesitate to help when he could Oh yes and when he was emptying out the water heater he asked me if I would like to water my plants with the water instead of wasting it on the road side. I was worried water would be hot, but it was not. He connected the pipe with the heater and I watered all my plants. Then he suggested that perhaps my car might also be happy with a wash, and sure enough I washed by unwashed car for 3 months and it was bright and shiny. I needed to replace my AC but also had an electrical problem as the old AC unit had damaged my main circuit breaker. I give 4 stars for the HVAC work and zero stars for the electrical. The HVAC crew and the electrician were supposed to arrive at the same time on a Saturday morning. As it turned out the electrician didn't show up until 4 hrs after the AC guys finished the installation and only after I called 4 times to get an ETA. When the electrician finally arrived he refused to install the new main breaker claiming that I needed a permit from APS and that this couldn't be obtained on during the weekend. So I was stuck without AC all weekend in 110 degree heat. I ultimately arranged for an electrician from another company to install the new breaker first thing Monday morning but then had to call Parker and Sons 6 times to get the HVAC guys to come back and complete their installation. That didn't happen until after 5pm; in the interim I was again stuck in a non air conditioned condo all day waiting for the company to provide an ETA for the installation. Adding insult to injury was the Installation Manager suggesting that it was somehow my fault that my main breaker had failed, telling me that he didn't have a crew available until the next day, and then finally acting like he was doing me a big favor by sending a crew at the end of the day. I expected better from a large company like Parker and Sons. read more

A/C went out around 4:30pm. Called around and they were the first that could get a tech out to us same day. Tech called and said he would be at the house around 5:15pm. He shows up on the dot. Friendly. Takes a look at the thermostat, goes up on the roof, and eventually comes back down. Says that our thermostat wiring was bad but he was able to do some kind of work around to get the unit back up and running. Thank goodness as this all happened in AUGUST. Anyways, he goes on to recommend that we replace our super old thermostat. He shows us some model for sale or says we can buy our own and he can install for us. Wife and I do some research and decide to buy our own. We do so and call up Parker and Sons the next day. They have the same tech, Imbert, back over in no time. He's again punctual, friendly, and completely professional. Had the new "smart" thermostat up and running in about an hour. VERY IMPRESSED with this company and their tech Imbert. We'll definitely be calling Parker & Sons the next time we have an issue with our A/C, electric, or plumbing. We are even planning on using them for a bi-annual inspection of our A/C unit. read more

Parker & Sons to the rescue once again! The widget that brings water into the house from the main was leaking badly as it had been badly repaired by our contractor. Parker & Sons came out on a Sunday and within 15 minutes or so had the entire problem fixed completely. They are timely, professional and polite and take the time to show you what the issue actually is before diving into expensive repairs that you don't actually need. I have never been so happy to recommend a tradesman. If you need a plumber you should really check these guys out. read more

I'm bouncing between a 2 and 3-star review. 3 because I'm grateful that the work was done; and 2 for the things mentioned below. I needed emergency work done as tree roots clogged my pipes and I ended up with a huge mess in both bathrooms. I really appreciate Parker & Sons coming out and taking care of the problem as soon as they were available. I also appreciate the next day someone came back to inspect the pipes with a camera and gave me an estimate of future repairs. Two things that did turn me off, though. One, is from the moment I called to make an appointment, I was hit with several sales pitches. For only $11.99 a month, blah, blah, blah. And if you sign up for this option, you get a discount for such and such. Ummm, no. Can I just get my plumbing fixed, please? And then more sales attempts from the technician: I can schedule an inspector come out and check for mold... Yeah, no. My house was not flooded. Stop! These tactics just leave the impression that you're being taken for a ride. But the part that was really unprofessional is when my pipes were cleaned out, he left everything that was pulled out right by my house and drove off. Who does that??? I walked outside this morning and it looked like two black birds had been ripped to shreds. Then I realized what it was. My parents came by and thought the exact same thing. At least have the courtesy to let me know it's there; or better yet, ask where you can throw it away; or have a way of disposing of it yourself. Anything would have been better than just leaving it there and walking away. That's disgusting! And doesn't leave a good impression at all. I've had work done from other companies; for example, a tree removed and they cleaned up everything. My yard looked better than when they arrived. I also had new faucets put in by another plumber. He cleaned under the cabinets and left my house spotless. Both instances left very positive, lasting impressions. In my opinion, for the amount of money that I had to pay out unexpectedly to have these pipes cleaned, be courteous and clean up, please. read more

We had a water heater problem. The technician quoted us $7,000 for repair and said we are not under warranty because we bought the house recently and the warranty doesn't transfer over. We decided to call bumble bees just to get another quote. They came, told us we are under warranty, and charged us $1,200 for labor. I discovered that my water heater had finally died! My brother uses Parker and Sons for all of his plumbing issues so I called them and made an appointment for the following day. The first technician came out at 9 o'clock and then the installer was at my home at one p.m. I had a brand new water heater by 4:30 PM. Updating my review from last week. After I posted my unsatisfactory review I was contacted by Ian from Parker and sons. He was able to get someone out to my house that afternoon. The two water technicians who came were very nice. Turned out it was the RO system for what a purification under my sink that was leaking. Apparently they don't last very long. After they left I realized I didn't understand why they left it there since they told me it's kaput. But whatever. at least Ian got someone out to me that same day and we found out what was causing the leak and stopped it from leaking any further. On June 6th, the night before we were to leave on vacation, our 5 1/2 year AC unit was not cooling. We had a maintenance contract with Parker and Sons, so we called dispatch. We were told that they didn't have any available technicians. The next available was 2 - 6 pm the next day. My wife explained that we were leaving on vacation the next day and we hoped to get it looked at before we left. The dispatcher said that that was the time and if we didn't like it to go elsewhere. She asked the gentleman to please check with dispatch again. Suddenly an appointment was available between 10 - 12 midnight. Greg came out and determined it was the capacitor and it was replaced. The unit was working fine until we returned from vacation - on June 20th it stopped cooling again. Technician Greg returned and told us it was the Circuit board and we might want to replace the entire unit and that we would need to keep the brands the same so we would need to replace the AC unit outside and the Furnace inside. (although the brands are not currently the same now). The cost would be $18-20K. He sent a sales representative out the same evening. Carlos told us it would be $8 - 12K. But that was not the issue. He said it was the disconnect box. He tightened the connections on the disconnect box and then the unit was working for a brief time. We never received any quotes, and thought they were ordering the parts and then would schedule a time to come back out. On July 3, yep you guessed it unit was not cooling again so we called Parker and Sons and they sent out Josh out to look at the unit (a re-call diagnostic technician). He said it was a Compressor motor. This part was ordered, we never got an estimate for the work. The Part came in on July 8 and appointments were scheduled with a representative. Afterwards we received 4 phone calls the say of the appointment was at a different time that what we were scheduled for that evening (the only time we could be there 6-8pm). One of the dispatchers again said if we couldn't be there the appointment would be canceled. We spoke with managers, supervisors and customer relations. On July 12th again the AC is not cooling. We call again and were told by dispatch that the entire city is no longer taking appointments due to the demand and lack of technician. Allie did set up a stand by appointment for Saturday, July 13th. After three calls to dispatch requesting a supervisor call back- Frank, who we have discussed the situation earlier this week, and advised us that we had been over charged and will be issuing a refund, called us back. After discussing the issues we opted to keep our Saturday stand by appointment for Saturday. Too many scheduling mistakes, too many misdiagnosis. read more

I called another company first, starts with a G ends with an L...I was so disappointed that 1) it took over 20 minutes to just schedule an appointment that I had to afterwards wait 20 minutes just to cancel. 2) there was what sounded like a party going on in the background, complete with loud music, laughter, other conversations, and long pauses from the person taking my call. 3) could not book me until August. Parker and Sons on the other hand, answered right away, Paul knew the business inside and out, we had a pleasant conversation (he even laughed and seemed engaged). Booked me for the next day! Garrett our service technician was sooo accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, low pressure, hard worker, non-complainer, thorough, and a proud Daddy, even showed us pictures of his kids. I called Parker and Sons to repair a leak in my shower. I have 2 shower heads and only 1 was leaking. After spending $525, when he was finished, BOTH of my shower heads leaked!! He told me he could fix both of them for another $585! Then he said I would still need new shower heads for another $185 each! Parker and Sons is the biggest rip off I have ever seen. They try to upsell you. A year and 1/2 ago, I had them do a "maintenance check up" on my HVAC UNIT, and they told me I needed a whole new unit. I didn't replace it and I have had NO trouble with my unit. Long and short, do NOT use Parker and Sons! They will rip you off!! read more
