Where do i start with my complaints with this company? You pay for a twice annual maintenance plan and the scheduled visits are cancelled. They are cancelled the same day or with one hour left in the four hour window. So you pay for 2 but get only 1 visit. No refund of money paid for receiving only 1 of 2 maintenance visits. Honoring the warranty you pay for is another problem. We have been waiting for covered warranty parts since August 4th. We were told 2-3 weeks. We call and are told the parts department controls that we will give them your message. No calls returned. Never even given a courtesy update. I have called around and the parts needed are in stock. One person said they don't want to do warranty work because there is no money in it. So we paid our $85 for the pending warranty work and nothing from them. We have been cooling with a window ac unit. DO NOT use this company. DO NOT believe their ads. They say/promise one thing and do another. They only want to sell new units. They do not care about their customers. read more

I've been a customer for the entire 15+ years we have owned our home. About 5 years ago we had to have a brand new AC unit installed. This company is always incredibly professional, showing up on time, and doing great work. I doubt they are the cheapest option in the market, nor are they the most expensive, but I'm not looking to cut corners and get low quality work just to save a buck, and you get what you pay for. This company has always been great to work with and I will continue to use them for all of my heating and cooling needs in the future. read more

We had Parker and Sons come out for our annual AC maintenance. Upon their inspection they recommended we do a chemical cleaning and replace our run capacitors on our 2 units. Total bill was going to be over $1200.00. I declined and got a second opinion. The second AC company did not agree and said that they were just trying to sell us on parts and services that we did not need. This is the last time Parker and Sons will be allowed at my house. Do yourself a favor and call someone else. read more

My tech, Mike Gomez, was great. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable and answered every annoying question I threw at him. He didn't try to upsell me; he gave me his expert opinion on what would be safe and efficient but still left the final decision of what I wanted included in the water heater installation up to me. If I had to nitpick, I would only say he left the area a little messy, but if that's the worst of it, I will take it. I was also very grateful that when I called after hours the night before, I got a live person who had the knowledge to assess my issue and offer suggestions, then was able to set up an appointment for me. I didn't have to go through an answering service and then wait around wondering if someone was going to call me back. I don't know how Parker & Sons compares price-wise to others, but the customer service and onsite service I received were excellent. read more

Our electrical panel stopped working on Wednesday morning. We had absolutely zero power to the house. Called Parker and Sons to troubleshoot the problem. They diagnosed the bad electrical panel and got the wheels in motion with SRP, including permits and inspections to install a new system to replace the 1980's one. We spent one evening in a hotel and by Thursday afternoon, all power was on. Michael and Timothy were extremely knowledgeable and professional and worked their butts off to get it done as soon a possible. We have used Parker and Sons for our A/C units and I wouldn't think of calling anyone else. read more

Well, here's the longest story ever. AC not working. Called them. Tech comes out. I think the issue is you have a short in the line. You need an electrician, not me. He calls his electrical side. They say they cant come out until next week. I say I'm going to call another electrician. The other electrician comes, says I need a new breaker, installs it. AC still doesn't work. Call for a different AC person to come. Meanwhile, PandS electricians show up later that day, after I had paid for the other company. They say think it's the transformer, and their guy should've known that. So I paid for the other electrician for nothing. Different company came today and replaced the transformer. This whole mess up has cost me 5 times what it should have if they had diagnosed the issue correctly the first time. Not happy, never recommending. read more

It's a hard review to do and I want to be completely fair, but yes, I have serious complaints. I have a 2-story house with 2 3-ton AC units 1 for each floor. Both have the condenser unit outside and the air handlers in the attic above the 2nd floor. The upstairs unit stopped blowing cold air, but the downstairs unit was operating perfectly - was... My units are 21 years old, and I understand they've outlived their life expectancy, but they were working that day, maybe not efficiently but they cooled the house just fine. I called for a technician to come out and diagnose the issue with my downstairs unit and give me a quote on replacing them. The technician that came out was polite, courteous, knowledgeable, and informative during his diagnosis of the problem unit - a bad capacitor no biggie. After that he wanted to look at the furnaces in the attic, which I had already moved a bunch of stuff for total access. From this point forward there is 'zero' communication on what or why he is doing what he is doing. I assume this is because I still wanted a quote for replacement, and he would need to see what equipment we have or maybe he was still doing the basic diagnostic which should be part of the repair of the broken unit. What was odd to me was he immediately opened the panel on the working downstairs unit, I thought okay I'm going to let you do your thing and left the attic. ~20 min later: He comes down and I need to pay him for the original capacitor replacement on the non-working unit, which my wife and kids are now happy to see and feel working (at least it appeared so when the upstairs was 95F.) No problem 'PAID' It did take a long time ~90min for the technician to leave my home at this point. Yeah, he was working up quotes on his phone, but I repeatedly reminded him "I will not sign anything today and I have email", he just refused any social queues to leave or tell me anything while he was playing with his phone, for all I know he was placing football bets He also continually made phone calls, presumably to prevent me from talking to him. Eventually he started giving me quotes 1st 21k/unit then 18k/unit then 23k for both and finally all the way down to 18k for both units. It was super uncomfortable to watch. I am sure he was working on the quotes to be honest, but it was very awkward. Eventually while he was packing up, he got on the phone (speaker phone) talking to someone about his next job. Then he had to go upstairs to get some equipment, stayed up there on the phone for several minutes before he left. And then ~5 min later knocked on the door and left his tools upstairs, very odd still on the phone had to go upstairs into the attic to get his gear - all still on the phone. Not long after he replaced the capacitor on the upstairs unit and left, we noticed the downstairs unit suddenly does not work correctly. It appears it might run for ~5min and then stop. Additionally, the upstairs unit that was "fixed" with a simple capacitor replacement barely blows cold air now that we've been able to observe it over some time, this unit used to have a very strong air-flow. Regardless of whatever the problem(s), I am not saying a Parker and Sons technician sabotaged my systems - but it sure feels like it, I will not be calling Parker and Sons to look at them, I will not be getting replacements from them either. read more

I took half a day off work just to get a call saying they were too busy and couldn't make the appt that they could come tomorrow or the next day. They showed up the next day just to tell me it would cost $550 to tighten and adjust a brand new faucet put in less than 2 months ago. I obviously told him we wouldn't need his services. read more

We had a leaky faucet that we were worried if it wasn't handled quickly could cause water damage beneath our sink. I used their online appointment system to choose a date/time that worked best and had confirmation within minutes. Excellent technician who came to the house explained everything and replaced our faucet. Completely painless and excellent service. We'll be reaching out again for sure. read more

Have had P&S since our A/C install 6 yrs ago. Cannot say enough about customer service and support. My a/c went out at 9:30 pm on a weekend--my husband was out of town. P &S came out that night, stayed til it was fixed. Just called them again to install WiFi thermostat--on time and fast. Love them. Would not ever consider another company. The best. read more

I will never use P&S again. My $5,000 HVAC unit for a 1-bdrm condo was only 2 years old when it stopped cooling. Capacitor blown and $350 of refrigerant required. 8 months later it quit heating. Parts not available to fix for 5 days. 11 days, 1 no show, 5 tech visits, 2 requests to speak with management not responded to, and another $350 bill later, it's still not heating as efficiently as before. Scheduled for the free quote, after scheduling issue with them rescheduling on me, a technician came and saw the current nonworking unit (took approx 3-5 min max) and at the end when he said he had the quote ready he would not release it without paying the $189.00 fee. Technician drove away as I was on the phone trying to get ahold of someone in their office. False advertisement felt like it was a hold up for ransom, Extreme waste of time, incredibly disrespectful, and We will be taking our business for a new unit somewhere else. Then could not finish the job correctly for the lack of parts. He showed me what he claimed I could buy anywhere for very cheap. Told me I could buy it at Home Depot! I checked 3 different H.D. Never heard of this part. He fixed one shower. He left the other for me to repair. I called back to Parker and Sons and was told I will be put on the down time list. Up until a couple of weeks ago my family and I depended on Chas Roberts for our air conditioning servicing needs. Since our relationship has soured we chose a new provider, Parker & Sons. All I can say is Wow! Austin provided exceptional customer service. He quickly diagnosed the problem: a fan motor was leaking oil. We had purchased the unit from Chas Roberts in 2013. Because they had deleted my customer account yesterday I wasn't able to determine if the factory warranty was active. Good news: Parker and Sons determined that Carrier will honor the warranty. A tech is coming by tomorrow to replace it. It gets better. Austin identified a problem with a drain in our garage and effected a rapid repair. Thank you Parker and Sons for helping us out on such a hot day. read more

Out of all the heating and plumbing businesses I chose Parker and Sons because the commercial said "no melvins". The guy showed up did a reading from the air conditioner outside then went into the attack. He said it was a shabby job done by Chase. I told him to fix the problem. He tore off tape and left the trash on the floor and said it would cost $1500 to fix. I received nothing about my "tune-up" note of this visit. Parker & Sons installed our air conditioners a few years ago. We later found that they also provide plumbing services. We had our water heater fail, and we called them. They came out on the day of our call and gave us the info that we needed a new water heater. Darn. The installers were amazing, and we were very satisfied with the service, price and attention to detail. The took photos and provided them to us to explain the issues. Highly recommend. read more

Hvac lead installer Eric Gutierrez. This guy is incredible! Installed our new hvac unit in one day. Arrived at 7am and wouldn't leave until 8pm cleaning up every tooth of evidence he had ever been there from the street in front to the attic up above. He answered every question i had. By the end of the day I felt very confident in the skill level he had. He was a man of few words. He worked non stop until the job was done dotting every i and crossing every t.I am 80 years old and have always did my own repairs and was uneasy letting a stranger in my house. They were very professional in the manner of repairing the faucets in the bathroom and kitchen. This was after I was required to bring my water heater up to code. My new mortgage lender wouldn't give me a cash out loan until I fixed the plumbing, water heater and the HVAC. Parker & Sons did all of those thing. They did leave a small hole in the ceiling but, they promise to repair it in a week. Parker & Sons completed the plumbing and AC replacement on time and under the original estimate. read more

I have yet to find a reason to be disappointed with the service received from Parker & Sons. I called due to an alarm that was set off from moisture being detected under my kitchen sink. Not only did the office receptionist try to get help for me over the phone but they arranged for a technician to come out the same day. They looked for leaks out of concern the alarm was triggered from a faulty water filter but turned out that it was the garbage disposal that had a small crack and was dripping water. I'm beyond satisfied with the level of professionalism and speedy response time received in less than a 24-hour period and would highly recommend. Hands down a very reliable and reputable company to have in my corner. read more

Had two unpleasant experiences with this company in the last year. One was at my house where a salesman showed up eventually offering an estimate that was about 50 percent higher than my regular A/c company. Obviously they didn't get the job. Just recently a friend called Home Depot for an estimate and the salesman showed up from Parker and Sons. This sales pitch was even more outrageous...asking questions like "how much are you willing to spend" and other questions reminiscent of shady used car dealers. After fishing for information to see how high he could push the estimate, he eventually quoted 19k to 28k (yes...nineteen thousand to twenty eight thousand) for a standard replacement of a 5 ton heat pump in Phoenix AZ. on a 1700 sf house. That came in about double the other two companies. So...how much are the salesman and Home Depot taking from consumers (some might call it stealing) ? I'd love to know the specifics of that scam. read more

Every time I schedule maintenance three to five weeks in advance either no one shows up or they call and cancel at the last minute. Their website says they prioritize "members" but that is NOT case. Never once have they actually shown up when scheduled and the rep I spoke to today about the "no show" was very condescending and insistent that a call was placed to me this morning canceling my appointment. No such call was made as I have had my phone on all day and the spam calls came through just fine, his reasoning was because other customers without AC need to be prioritized ahead of maintenance customers. He then proceeded to tell me he could get me scheduled for JULY for an appointment that I originally scheduled in March three weeks ahead of time. I am constantly rearranging my time for a company that does not honor their word. I will be canceling my so called membership as soon as my spring maintenance that I have already paid for is actually performed and look for a business that honors appointments with their customers. read more

I have dual sinks in my bathroom that began to clog on both sides. I scheduled an appointment online & a plumber was out the next day. Marc De La Cruz was my plumber & he was able to clear out the clogs, stop a leaky faucet & restructure some piping. The bulk of the job was done in one day with the rest the following morning. Very appreciative of him fixing this in a timely manner as it's our main bathroom. I'd recommend Parker& specifically Marc for plumbing services. read more

It's 9:30 pm, we've been waiting for Parker and Sons for a 6 to 8 pm appointment for the 3rd appointment in 3 weeks because they can't find a problem. We bought our Ac through Costco 8 years ago, comes w a 10 year warranty. The house won't cool below 82 degrees, we have it set at 79. They suggested a $5k warrantied repair three weeks ago which didn't solve the problem. We had two guys here for 3 hours last week who basically told us it's hotter in AZ now so the units can't cool like they used to. We asked for a senior tech to come out today and it looks like they will be a no show. We also were supposed to have scheduled maintenance the other day that they force you to have to maintain the warranty and they cancelled the appointment on me. Don't ever buy a unit through Costco and have to deal with this company. Oh and I forgot to mention that the guy who did the $5k repair three weeks ago broke three shelves in our closet and never told us (we were out of town at the time and our son let him in, the guy never said a word about it) they are reimbursing us $177 for new shelves. I paid an astronomical amount of money to replace two old units and one of units stoped working after 7 days. When I called they said they would sent a a technician the next morning because no was available until then. By 12 I called sine I did not hear back I was told I was scheduled between 3-5. Thieves! The technician looked at the unit and told me I needed a new condenser motor without checking any wiring or fuses. Cost was going to be $1500 (absurdly high for a condenser motor). Got a second opinion and all I needed was a new fuse. Don't trust them. read more

I got a call from my wife at 6:00pm that our AC wasn't working and it was 108 degrees outside. I called the 5 closest places that were highly rated on Yelp but they were all closed or would only come the next morning. As if I wanted to sleep in my house at 86+ degrees? Since Costco recommends Parker and Sons we have them a call and they were at our house in 90 minutes. Bill Anderson provided amazing customer service and had the problem solved in no time. I didn't have to pay to stay at a hotel and then pay for someone else for my AC the next morning. Problem solved. Now I get to go to bed in my own house, cool house that is!! read more
