I really enjoyed my experience here. We planned to go to yard house for happy hour but there was a bit of a wait, so we put our name down and went to stroll around. When we came to Parker's lighthouse we thought the building looked pretty cool so we thought we'd poke our heads inside just to see how the building looked. We asked the hostess if it was cool if we took a look around and she was extremely welcoming, saying if we went all the way to the back we could see the outdoor patio. After seeing the patio we were sold, it was so nice! It directly faces the queen mary and because it's secluded from the rest of the boardwalk area it felt like this little oasis. We ended up ordering happy hour items: the crab cheese bread (highly recommend), a bucket of clams, and the chowder fries. Everything was delicious. My only desire is that the clams would have come with some bread to soak up that delicious broth at the bottom. The service was great, and sitting out there on the patio was really enjoyable. If you do come here take a walk around the interior of the building, there's an upstairs that also has a great view though I think it's a different restaurant. read more

What an amazing place. On our visit, everything - ambiance, service, food, weather, and the spectacular scenery across the bay that included the Queen Mary, went flawless. Easy five star. Including the fact that we were celebrating a reunion of old friends who had been friends for over 30 years. What a celebration. We made reservations for three and upon asking for outdoor seating, we were seated in one of the best possible tables with a front view of HMS Queen Mary as well as a superb place for people watching. Service began immediately with bread and honey butter as we waited for cocktails, which were superb. Besides the garlic bread, we ordered the crispy calamari and followed that with the Mixed Grill, a wonderful concoction of Mesquite-Grilled Mahi, Shrimp & Scallop Skewer, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, Garlic Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, and Roasted Seasonal Vegetables, doused with Lemon Butter and Almond Romesco Sauce. Yum. My spouse had the Seafood Linguini, with shrimp, scallops, clams, and pesto. Also amazing. And we washed it down with a superb Sauvignon Blanc Service was flawless. We came as a 10 people group and made reservations and got sat right away. For the table, we got the Brussel sprouts, calamari, and burrata bruschetta and all the appetizers were delicious. The basil pesto was especially good on the bruschetta. I got the sea bass and my son got the filet which was cooked perfectly. Both of our dishes were excellent and were large portions. We got the warm roll house pie and the crème brûlée and those were delicious as well. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals as well. We paid $95 (x2) and I'd say that you're paying for the great waterfront environment and the nice dinnerware and tablecloths. The restaurant is beautiful. The food however was (overall) probably not as good as you might get at Golden Corral. A notable exception was the Porchetta, which was very tasty. The mac & cheese was dry (not sure what they were thinking). The turkey was a bit watery. The gravy portion was actually over seasoned and miserly. Unremarkable crab cakes. The stuffing was an embarrassment. Good chilled shrimp and scallops. The mashed potatoes were also nice. There were cheeses and crackers and flavorful olives, etc (they advertised cured meats also but none were visible during our visit). I did not try the prime rib nor any dessert items. I had the Caesar Salad but stayed clear of the pasta and the yams. read more

This was the second time I came here in a week. First on 8/24 and Naomi was great and food was great. I decided to bring my niece on 7/1 and the service was horrible. First, of all the server Jonathan S. brought us bread that was hard. Once we addressed it he said he knew it was hard. It had been sitting under heat lamp. We couldn't even cut it with the butter knife or take it apart. Then, he took a while to bring us water and refill out cups a few times. He never asked if it was a special occasion. Last Saturday, my cousin married his lovely now-wife. The reception was upstairs in the "Queen's View Room." Now I haven't been here since prom. I'm 32, so that was a few years ago...Anyway, prom dinner was downstairs. I had never been upstairs. My mind was blown away by the view (inside and out). It was absolutely stunning: the sight of the water, the live band, the aesthetic of the bar. 10/10. I got there fairly early and found out there was an open bar: hip hip hooray. Before I could approach the bar, a server came up to me and asked me what I wanted to drink. I asked for a Manhattan and told him I'd follow him to the bar. He replied, "I'll find you." I asked his name, and he responded with "Alex." You talk about a personable and efficient server. Just like the movie, Alex was "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once." At one point, I DID go to the bar, and that's where I met the second person that made me realize I had to get this review out. Ju-Ju (spelling?) made me the most mouth-watering sidecar I've ever had the pleasure of consuming. She was an all-star as well because she told me what time the open bar would be: A) cash-and-carry and B) closed. I promised Alex I would write this review; I'm sorry it took so long. The holidays are difficult with the loss of our uncle earlier in the year. So seeing the family together WITH the exceptional service of the ENTIRE staff (not just Alex and Ju-Ju) really was the cherry on top. I don't have photos of the food, and I don't know how guests will appreciate having their photos on Yelp, so I'll leave one of me and my mom (she won't mind). read more

Great customer service. We come here every year for our Holiday Company Party and we're always taken care of. We always sit up stairs and the Queen Mary view. Started off with the Brussels Sprouts 8/10, Crispy Calamari 8/10, Oysters 10/10, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail 10/10, and the Manila Clams 10/10. Really enjoyed the clams. That garlic butter white wine broth was delicious. For my main I had the Mesquite Grilled Salmon 8/10. I felt the salmon was a little overcooked. It was dry. Overall, pretty decent dish. I went during lunch hours on a friday. Made sure to get seated outside on the deck overlooking the water view. My husband had a beer and i had a pina colada. We shared a bowl of clam chowder which was delicious. I had an ahi tuna sandwich, which was very fresh, BUT was lacking some taste. The tuna was lacking something. I would make a reservation to make sure you get a nice table with harbor views. Service was fast and friendly. For starters we got the Brussel sprouts and it was prepared well. I would definitely order it again and the portion size makes it great for sharing. For my entree, I got the ahi tuna sandwich which came with fries. It's a healthy chunk of tuna which was smacked right between a toasted brioche bun. Looking back, I probably would've been happier with the fish and chips but the sandwich was solid nonetheless. We had reservations for 7 pm. I had notified them I am in a wheelchair and would need a table to accommodate. The 3 young women at the front did not make a move to help open the door and stood and watched my husband struggle to open and hold the door while trying to get me inside. The restaurant lists as being accessible and as this restaurant does not have a disability/handicapped button to automatically open the door it would have been considerate for one of the young ladies to have opened the door. Once we were brought to a table noone removed a chair at the table to accommodate my wheelchair and it had to be out at the end of the table. The food was bad. Period. We ordered simple dishes..fish and chips and the burger. The fish was almost nonexistent as it was covered in batter and the plate was filled with french fries. For what it cost there should have been more than 2 over battered over cooked pieces of fish. I had a great time at Parkers Lighthouse. The venue has a great ambiance with views of the Queen Mary. We had great service from Allen and Yajaira who made us feel welcomed and recommended us great options. For appetizers, we had the cheese bread, fried calamari, and the arugula and strawberry field salad. I was most impressed with the salad, the strawberries and goat cheese were a nice balance to contrast the acidity from the dressing. For entrees, we had the mixed grill (catch of the day; swordfish), mesquite salmon, and the seafood linguine. All great dishes, the mesquite salmon was accompanied by tamale gnocchis which was really tasty paired with the cream corn and aji verde. The scallops in the seafood linguines were absolutely delicious, soft and custardy. My favorite of the night was the mixed grill, I enjoyed having the swordfish and the lump crab cake. We almost left without dessert, but our server Allen easily convinced us to give it a go and we ended getting the Apple bread pudding which was delicious. The only thing that gives this restaurant a one star is the view. Came here for my daughter's graduation and spent over 1500 dollars. Had about 15 people in our party so we expected good food. Got simple things like steaks and salads...didn't think you could mess up a Cobb salad, came with ice cold shrimp, and crab meat, lettuce tasted like dirty sink water. Steak was so dry it was choking us... only decent thing was the sushi. Table didnt get cleared off of the dirty bread plates the entire night hardly had room to eat, we enjoy queens view upstairs , but safe to say we won't be back to Parker's lighthouse. read more

What an awful experience yesterday with the two gals "running the hostess station." Party of 6 arrived at 4pm for Happy hour and we were asked to wait. (We assumed there was no seats available) so we waited. After 10 minutes, I went upstairs to use the ladies room only to see that there were multiple tables available and the entire counter in the bar area was empty. No smiles, no apologies for the wait, no explanation as to why. Several other people walk in (1 large group, two additional couples) they were told we can't seat you right now, they said oh are we early, what time does Happy Hour start? "4pm" well it's 4:15 now, when will we be able to be seated? "There are several parties ahead of you- we can put you on a list." Each group walked out. I finally approached the desk and asked "Realistically, how much longer until we can be seated? We've been waiting for close to a 1/2 hr." She proceeds to tell me "I have you at 10 out of 15" ??? I asked what that meant and she insisted we have only been waiting 10 minutes out of being quoted 15 minutes!" (Total BS) I turned to our group and repeated her "we've only been waiting 10 minutes total". (Mind you it's 4:25pm at this point.) Everyone responded in shock, so we walked out. We spent our $$$ and time at Tequila Jacks instead and then went to Halo for another large tab. Would have spent all $$$ at Parker's if they had any sense of BASIC customer service. Sorry, Parker's Lighthouse you are now OFF our list! Please train you desk staff to be friendly, informative and polite to customers. Waiting 25 minutes to be seated for Happy Hour is unacceptable. My family had a lovely experience at Parkers' Lighthouse. We had just sprinkled my father's ashes at sea and proceeded to have brunch there. Ben, our server, was very attentive and efficient. My mother loves PL, but every time we've visited, I have been disappointed by the food and the service. Unsuccessful at talking her out of going for her bday/Thanksgiving brunch, copy/pasted below is my OpenTable note: "In addition to Thanksgiving, we are also celebrating my mother's 70th birthday! She is a big fan of Parkers' Lighthouse and has been a loyal patron for decades, so it would be great to do something special for her. Thank you!" Thanksgiving day, 2025: We sat on the patio with a lovely view of the Queen Mary. My reservation note was placed on our table, printed out for our server. It was a gorgeous day and we were enjoying the view so I was not timing (also I was in the industry for over 10 yrs, so I'm very understanding), but it was a while before anyone spoke to us. After about 15 mins, a server said hello, that our server (Ben) was a little busy, and offered us some water. After about 10 more mins, Ben appeared. The single constant that Ben had in his favor is that he was very sweet. He got confused about our wine order, came back to inform me that they were out of the bottle of cava that I had ordered (not his fault), tried to recite the wine list to me (which he didn't know well), then I asked if he could simply bring me the wine list again, which he did. Finally we had our food and a bottle on our table, nearly an hour after we'd been sat. The spread of food was lovely, but the quality was what you'd expect from an all-inclusive resort or cruise ship: Fine. It was fine. My sweet mother thinks everything is great so she was pleased. She did comment on the lack of dessert options: There was NO pie. No pumpkin pie, no pecan pie - there were cookies, a little custard tart thingy, and a very bad tiny chocolate cake square. When she took a bite of it, my mother made her single criticism: "Well, this cake is unfortunate, isn't it?" While eating, we started to get a little blasted by the sun. By this time, tables had cleared out around us. Not having seen Ben for a while, I caught the attention of the server who had greeted us, asking if we could move to a table out of the sun. He said that it would be "easier" to instead get us an umbrella. So we waited for an umbrella - and waited. The wine list was still on our table, so I had propped it up for shade so that our wine wouldn't cook in the sun. But then the sun shifted to my mother's face, so I held the wine list up to shade her. I would sit there holding the wine list up for the rest of our stay, bc the umbrella that was eventually brought did not shade us at all. After having not seen him for about 30 mins, Ben came back once the umbrella was up and said "Oh great - are you comfortable now?" One could clearly see that the umbrella was shading everything around us BUT us, and I am sitting there holding up a wine list to shade my mother. Reconciled that the shade situation was a lost cause, I said with a smile "Yes, thank you." And off went an obliviously smiling Ben. Throughout our visit, I had waited hopefully for ANY mention from Ben or anyone about my mother's bday. We were ready to go so finally I excused myself to the restroom - really to find Ben. I asked if he had read the note - he asked "What note?" I patiently explained that it was my mother's 70th, asked if we could sing for her or anything; he said yes, and "Just let me know when you'd like that!" "Anytime you're ready," I quickly replied with a smile. Ben returned to our table a few mins later with a piece of that same awful chocolate cake with a candle in it. I looked up at him and he asked "So, on three?" "It's just us?" I asked. Ben glanced around as if trying to corral allies, but none appeared. I'm a singer, so I decided to let him off the hook. I said "Thank you, I got this." We lit the candle and I sang for my mother, which caused a big commotion on the patio that I was trying to avoid bc the day was about her and not me. When Ben came to collect the check, he asked if I had needed parking validation, which was nice. When he brought the check back, the parking ticket was not in there. I had to hunt Ben down yet again to retrieve it. My mother is a large woman and partially disabled. As I was helping her up to leave, I noticed that there was an opening on the patio towards the parking lot. Ben happened to be standing nearby, so I asked if we could exit that way, thinking it might be faster and easier for her. He replied "Oh yeah, that's the best way to go!" (For him it is. For him, or for me, or for anyone else similarly ambulatory. Not for my mother, who was clinging to me to stand up as Ben was answering.) It wasn't until we got closer that I realized that we'd have to squeeze through to exit this way - my mother should have been spared the challenging exit. Finally, due to the slow pace of our service, what should have been a 2 hr MAX visit took 3:15 - so I had to pay extra for parking. read more
