Very nice brunch spot! They have very nice standard and creative menu. We had an egg Benedict, a blue corn pancake and a breakfast pizza. All of those are pretty nice! My personal favorite is the blue corn pancake, the texture is so good and tastes more flavorful than the regular ones. The service is fast and friendly. The restaurant itself is cute and clean. I recommend this place!
I'd say this is a nice little spot. The service is really good.The staff is very attentive. The food was amazing. I had the cowboy benedict absolutely delicious! The orange juice here is really good. They have indoor and outdoor seating but depending on how busy they are, there may be a wait. Definitely worth it. Place is clean. I'd definitely recommend this spot.

This place is so cute and food was actually decent ! I got the pork belly benedict and surprised it came with a good portion and thick piece. Eggs was cooked great and bread was crispy ! I went with a larger party of 8, and everyone enjoyed their food. The server was very attentive to us and we did not feel rushed at all. Parking might be a bit difficult, but was able to find side street parking in good time.
Came Sunday 930am for party of 3. Our friend was very late but the staff was very accommodating with drinks while we waited. I had the house made carnitas in polenta which was fantastic w house made hot sauce too. My friends were kind of boring w basic breakfast w bacon and the avocado toast. Would return 100%
I dined with my neighbor for Girl's Breakfast early on MLK. She came here with her parents over the holidays and said this is a must try spot for me. I'm not a huge breakfast person but I trust her. Very cute location, decor is charming and it very spacious to accommodate guests inside and out. Our server was darling, super helpful and had a great sense of humor. My neighbor ordered a breakfast burrito and I got the Lemon Ricotta Pancake with Blueberry Compote on the side by request. We received our drinks shortly after he took our order. Food was served within 15 minutes. My eyes grew big, I asked if they had to deliver my pancake with a forklift because it was larger than my face. It was a good call just to order 1. There was citrusy bits of lemon zest in the fluffy batter. It was a pleasant surprise in each bite. I totally intended to each just half but somehow the whole pancake disappeared. Service was great! There are plenty of options, I was actually eyeing the Benedicts so will come back for that!
We arrived as a party of 4 on a wednesday around 11am and we were immediately seated. We chose a table outside. Fortunately we could move the sun umbrellas to block most of the sun. The servers were super friendly but service overall was pretty slow. It took a while for the food and then the check. I loved the tres egg scrambles - Chili crusted tofu, basil & asiago cheese. There are great vegetarian and gluten free options. The chilaquiles was also very good. They recommended it with the green sauce. We found street parking a few blocks away.
I was in the area yesterday and decided to try this place for brunch. On a Saturday at 11:30 we were able to get in right away. We got the real thang beef burger as well as the breakfast pizza. Both were great, the burger was cooked well, still very juicy. And the pizza had a lot of flavor and had a great cheese pull! Service was alright. The restaurant itself was cute, old fashioned and the stained glass window inside was really pretty.
I had never been here. A friend said it is his "home" and wanted me to enjoy it. So off we went. We were seated immediately and our server, Thea, was amazing. She knew the menu and helped to guide me to some great choices. The lobster risotto was beyond compare. Lots of lobster and oh so yummy. The fish with the lemon caper sauce was out of this world. Soooooo great. And while not cheap. It is worth the price for the quality and level of service. I had some left overs and they even wrote on the lid what was inside and the date. Well done and very much worth the trip.
I hadn't been here in years so I was thrilled when a friend suggested we meet for lunch. We both had the stir-fried rice and shared a lemon ricotta pancake. Both were perfect. The place is cute and the employees were wonderful. I'm looking forward to my next visit to try more items on the menu.
Adorable neighborhood eatery, indoor and outdoor seating. Service was impressive, really appreciate good service. Our waiter was so nice and helpful with all the items on the vast menu. Everything on the menu looked worth trying. My daughter ordered the chilaquiles with a flat iron steak, over easy eggs. The homemade corn chips were the nice thick kind, the sauce was a mix to me of Adobe and mole, thick with so much flavor and spice; beyond my imagination. The spice definitely lasted on the tongue, ha ha. Fresh guacamole, perfectly pickled purple onions, cilantro and cotija cheese. Worth ordering. I ordered the PH salad with grilled chicken, raspberry vinaigrette, sliced almonds, mixed greens, sliced cherry tomatoes with homemade bread. I would order it again. The iced latte was delish! I would love to return and try other items on the menu!
Really delicious, and hidden spot in University Heights. Came on a Monday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by their diverse menu. The PAN FRIED LINGUINI W/ EGG was innovative and delicious The CHILAQUILES W/ GREEN SAUCE was tangy and delicious PARK HOUSE BENEDICT came with a very cool potato tower and was super good. Worth a visit.

Parkhouse might have my absolute favorite breakfast in all of San Diego! The breakfast creations they have like egg linguine, breakfast pizza and their chilaquiles are literally INCREDIBLE! The egg linguine is absolutely top tier and so flavorful. The pizza is such a fun take with eggs and bacon ontop of a super soft tasty crust. You literally can't go wrong! Esteban is a fantastic water there and we have always had good service from anyone there. They are kind and attentive and quick! There's lots of seating both inside and outside so options for whatever you like. This place is the absolute best, MUST visit for breakfast/brunch in SD! read more

Just tried out this brunch spot the other day and had a good experience overall! Came around 10:30am on a Saturday and was able to be seated outside right away. Friendly staff. Ordered the crab benny and pork belly benny; both were good but I really liked my crab benny. Also got the mimosa flight - chose the apple, pink goddess guava, peach, and mango flavors. Some flavors were just okay, but for $28, we thought the flight was a better deal to be able to try different flavors instead of ordering two regular sized mimosas. read more
Customer service was an A+! Very quick and attentive. Only waited 5mins to be seated when it was completely full. I got the special for the weekend which was flat iron steak chilaquiles. Homemade chips that made the meal very hearty, and homemade sauce that was thick and spicy. The steak was cooked perfectly and was very juicy. Would definitely order again. read more
The food was delicious and the whole menu seemed creative. All the flavors seemed well thought out to complement each other. Service was fine, but nothing memorable. It wasn't very busy and the food seemed to take a while to come out, and we didn't get both orders at the same time. I didn't mind since my husband and I always share so we get to try more foods, but I know that's not everyone's style. Sitting outside was nice and calm with plenty of plant life to enjoy. read more

Cool little spot tucked into a neighborhood. Came early on a Saturday morning and was quickly seated outside. I had the Challah stuffed French toast and ordered a side of bacon and scrambled eggs. Food was good overall, the staff was friendly and kept our water full. read more

Great experience! The Portuguese sausage was to die for and the service was friendly and attentive. The PH Benedict was delicious -- my only small critique is that the focaccia soaked up a lot of the hollandaise, making it a bit heavy. Adding avocado would be a great touch! read more

I had my Bday breakfast here, with my dear friend and it was Fantastic. We shared the special green mole chilaquiles with a side of steak and a lemon ricotta pancake. It was so delicious. Liz our waitress was so sweet and patient. My friend and I were talking and catching up for a while. Liz was so patient and attentive to us. I had an almond milk Mexican mocha, it was so good too. I hadn't been to parkhouse eatery for a long time and I was missing out! Love this place. read more

My friend and I came on a Monday at 11 AM and was seated right away. There is lots of indoor and outdoor seating available. We both ordered the French Toast Combo, which struck the perfect balance of savory and sweet. Eggs cooked to order, choice of bacon or sausage (I went with bacon and she chose sausage). For drinks, I got the Mexican mocha and she got a vanilla late. I wish I could have gotten the oat milk but they were all out so I went with almond. Both almond and oat milk are $1 extra. Service was attentive and efficient without being overbearing. I appreciated them checking on us every so often. Parking can be tricky in this North Park/City Heights area. There are some free spots right out in front, and some metered. Overall, a solid and relaxed brunch choice. I don't think you can go wrong! read more
Delicious brunch spot in a historical home! Big plates and good quality food. The mimosa flight was fun and flavorful with just enough balance to the bubbles. You have the choice of any four flavors so that's always nice when you can make it what you want. I really enjoyed the turkey chorizo and it did have a bit of a kick to it. There was plenty for leftovers. The lemon ricotta pancakes were light and sweet, perfect to satisfy the craving of a sweet & savory meal. If I lived in San Diego this would for sure be a go-to brunch of mine! read more
I think this is our second time eating here. Initial time was in 2016. It's just as great, if not better as I remember it. This time (can't remember what we ordered way back when) I had the French toast combo and my loving spouse had the chef's special. The steak and eggs were good. Steak had a great flavor. Was tender and grilled to our liking. It came with some house made green "salsa". I really liked how it tasted with my scrambled eggs. Especially enjoyed the avocado in the sauce. The tortillas were piping hot and freshly made, but nothing to write home about in our opinion I enjoyed my French toast combo (four 1/2 slices of French toast, thick cut apple wood smoked bacon and eggs). We also ordered the daily muffin, which for today was KitKat Banana. Our drinks-Espresso Martini and Irish Coffee were a bit too strong for US. This place is 100% vibes. The ambiance is giving art deco vibes, super cute and the service was great. But the food was a huge miss for me. Everything came out to be super bland and tasteless... while the portions are huge and the presentation was good looking. The place can be hard to visit during the weekend unless you made a reservation way in advance. There is no parking lot, only street parking available. read more

The Parkhouse Eatery - University Heights, San Diego The Parkhouse Eatery is a solid brunch spot that delivers where it matters most: the food and service. Service was prompt and attentive from the start, with staff offering thoughtful menu suggestions that genuinely enhanced the experience rather than feeling rushed or scripted. It set a great tone for the meal. The food was the clear standout--every dish we ordered impressed. The lemon ricotta pancake was light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The chicken sausage scrambled eggs with mushrooms and spinach were hearty and well-executed, and the daily muffin (blueberry) was fresh and comforting. We also ordered the mimosa flight, which featured flavors ranging from guava to blueberry and was both fun and well-poured. We sat on the balcony on a sunny day, which was enjoyable, but the overall atmosphere was fairly standard. While pleasant, the space could benefit from upgraded furniture to better match the quality of the food and service. Pricing felt fair, especially for the mimosa flight at 4 for $28, with an even better value coming soon at $20 from January-February 2026--definitely something to keep in mind. Pretty solid eatery in University Heights. I had the carnitas polenta cake. The carnitas was soft and juicy, and the polenta was done just right. My friends weren't fans of their dishes but to each their own. The service was top notch though and everyone was friendly and attentive. I def recommend if you're in the area. read more
Had to wait about 20 minutes around 11:45 on a Sunday (they quoted 45 mins, but got a table sooner) morning, so not bad at all. The server was a real gem. Fun to talk to and gave some good recommendations too. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (topped with house-made blueberry sauce and whipped butter) were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! So large and so fluffy and just so so good! The whipped butter on top went really well as well. 10/10 recommend this! PH Salad with Grilled Chicken - Absolutely loved the raspberry vinaigrette on this. It was so fresh and refreshing and actually quite thick like a between a jam and a vinaigrette. Not like those classic runny vinaigrettes which we actually appreciate. Pork Belly Benedict - Friend got this one. Very very large portion on this, and it looked really appetizing as well! He said it was nice, and very filling too, haha. Spicy Pork Chorizo Scramble (with red onion, tomato, Serrano peppers topped with Cotija cheese), with the roasted potatoes and toast. House mate got this and finished all the potatoes and toast, but not all of the scramble. She did say it was nice though. Also got the mimosa flight for the table and we were actually surprised by this one. - Pink Goddess (guava juice, strawberry & champagne) Was what we actually wanted to begin with but it turned out the other flavors were much better. The guava didn't come through so much in here and it was quite heavy on the alcohol. - Blueberry Stand (house made lemonade, blueberry puree & champagne) Very pretty and very delicious! It was like the perfect one for summer. - Applelicious (unfiltered apple juice, champagne, cinnamon-sugar rim) Was the best one of the lot! The server actually recommended this one to us and we were genuinely surprised. The cinnamon sugar ring added the perfect touch. read more

My husband and I were lucky to find parking (street parking) a few feet away from this cozy place. We waited a few minutes before able to sit outside in their front porch/patio. Our waitress was very friendly and gave my husband a few suggestions on their breakfast menu and adult beverages. We enjoyed eating their chilaquiles which were not too spicy, and had a bit of a crunch. I totally loved their stuffed French toast. It had peach jam on the top and it was stuffed with a creamy sauce with pistachios. They were flavorful and not to overpowering, nor extra sweet. I will definitely order them next time we are in that neighborhood. read more

We were in town for a concert and wanted a cute brunch before we headed back to LA and this place did not disappoint! The atmosphere was quaint and cute with fresh flowers on every table. We went on a Monday morning and were seated immediately. Ordered a breakfast pizza for the table and it was unique and delicious! I had the pistachio challah stuffed French toast and it was SO delicious! I also snagged some of the hubs mashed potatoes as a breakfast side and as a potato loving gal.. mashed potatoes for breakfast is a huge win! lol my only complaint is that I don't live closer so I can go back! read more
TL;DR: average brunch grub with a ridiculous surcharge built into the menu Ordered: - Muffin of the day (blueberry): very average and not worth - skip - Eggs Benedict: I understand playing up the San Diego/CA-vibe with avocado-hollandaise but no option for regular hollandaise sauce is really unfortunate when that's the flavor you're craving. The avocado flavor isn't overpowering but it definitely changes it - Chilaquiles (green): best dish of the meal I can overlook the difference in flavor preferences but the built-in 4% surcharge is ridiculous on principle. I believe in paying the staff proper wages and providing good benefits but that responsibility should not be put on the patrons of the establishment. End. This policy should have been changed since July 1st but I still saw it on the menu so who knows. No thanks read more

I've been twice. The first time I got the carnitas stuffed polenta cake and it was delicious. The second time it was a hash breakfast and it was also delicious. Normally I'm a hash brown girl but their breakfast potatoes are always perfect. I usually go on a Sunday and am pleasantly surprised to get sat quickly usually. I have never sat inside but outside is nice in the morning. They never let my coffee or water get empty! read more

Parkhouse eatery was a wonderful brunch spot in University Heights! We got the vegetarian and sausage scramble with a house salad and the meal was delicious! We especially loved the lemon basil dressing and the sourdough bread and jam! Service was great as well! Would recommend making reservations as it's quite busy even on weekdays! read more
My new favorite breakfast spot! I'm so mad at myself that it's taken me years to eat at this eatery. Their menu is HUGE and they always have specials going on. Last time I went, they had made a peanut butter Captain Crunch muffin and it was to die for! They only make a limited amount and it's always changing, so make sure you go early ;) My go to order is the chilaquiles verde with carnitas with a side of their toast. I kid you not, truly one of the best dishes I've had in San Diego. Their servers are always so kind and attentive to refill your drinks, which is something I always appreciate! My wife and I have been eating here since we were dating and we love this restaurant. We just came back from having breakfast and everything was delicious. The Green mole chilaquiles were delicious but a little salty but the egg balanced out the saltiness. The massive raspberry chocolate muffin was delicious and crunchy around the muffin top edges. We also ordered a table pancake and selected the lemon ricotta pancake with blueberry drizzle which was perfectly fluffy and delicious. read more

Delicious! And friendly staff - watching out for you when you're trying to go to the bathroom (careful tight corners) and even accommodated my request for half sun half shade spot outside :p I ordered the crab benedict and my husband ordered the churro pancake. Both very delicious and filling. The side of potatoes with my Benedict were definitely hitting that day though lol. We will definitely be back. Ps loved the Filipino/a sun mirror in the bathroom! Such a cute little joint in university heights! A friend of mine picked this place and I am glad he did! It was lovely and didn't know how many times I've passed this place and never trued. I had a Irish coffee and a crab cake Benedict they weee both delish! I took a point off because the service was extremely slow. read more
The lemon ricotta pancakes were incredible - huge, fluffy, bits of peel mixed in. Absolutely recommend. I got one with the breakfast plate, alongside bacon (next time I'll ask for extra crispy) and eggs (ask for hot sauce, I'm pretty sure it's home made). Really big portions which make the prices sensible. Sat outside since it was a nice day, they have a number of inside tables as well. Waiter and food runner were both friendly, helped with decisions, and kept water glasses full. read more

So glad I finally got to try Parkhouse, it did not disappoint! A friend and I walked in a little after 10 for Sunday brunch, it seemed busy but we were seated indoors right away. The vibe is very homey & the decor is whimsical, very cute. We had to ask for more time looking over the menu because EVERYTHING sounded good. I went with the Green Chilaquiles and added carnitas... YUM! The sauce was so flavorful and the carnitas!!! *chefs kiss* My friend said their Blue Cornmeal Pancakes were really good too! I love that they serve Cafe Moto coffee so I went with a black cold brew and my friend got an iced mocha. Service was really great, even as the restaurant grew louder and got busy, we were constantly checked in on. 10/10 first experience and will definitely be back! read more

They are open for outdoor seating at the moment. They have a lot of seating outside.

Nope! They only do flights. There are plenty of other places that do though
Is there any vegan options?
Yes they do. I ordered the Chilaquiles and the server advised me off the other options since I don't eat pork. One of which was a meatless chorizo.
