I tried this donut shop via Uber Eats, so I am not able to comment on the physical location or service, but the donuts are quite the experience! These donuts are much more like croissants made into donut-like treats. They're absolutely delicious, don't be deceived! They're just not your traditional fluffy or cakey donut, so be prepared for that. I tried 4 donuts today: Cookies and Cream, Bourbon Caramel, Raspberry Pistachio, and Maple Pecan. Of these, the raspberry pistachio was my favorite, and the cookies and cream (which still delicious!) was my least favorite. From what I can tell, the donuts all have the same dough base through the baking process and initial sugar coating. They differ based on the glaze and crumble toppings. For this reason, if you have FOMO like me, you can opt to try fewer flavors and simply prioritize your favorite glaze combos as the differences are more subtle. I enjoyed the raspberry pistachio as I felt the glaze was the most unique and stood out from the base flavor and texture of the "donut". The bourbon caramel and maple were both very tasty! I didn't quite get the bourbon flavor, but the caramel and maple tastes exactly as you'd expect them to. I wouldn't order the cookie and cream one again, only because it felt a bit too simple and didn't scream "cookie and cream" for me. But if you love a traditional glaze with a simple chocolate syrup drizzle, you would definitely enjoy this donut! I haven't tried any of their filled donuts yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to that on the next visit. Fair warning too, they are MUCH bigger than pictures make them look. Think a Costco sized croissant twisted into a circular donut shape. They're pretty massive. I have driven by the location and it does look like it's only street parking available. But during off peak hours, there's plenty available very close to the entrance and the shop looks super cute from the outside. It's only a couple doors down from Encounter in North Park and there does appear to be a couple seats outdoors. It's not your traditional donut, but it's definitely worth a visit. read more

Once in awhile I would crave something sweet. This new donut shop opened up in North Park. I stopped by and I like the aesthetic of the shop it has a retro vibe to it. I was greeted by Sean, he was super welcoming and knowledgeable about the items available. Menu is super easy to understand. I came here a couple of times to enjoy the breakfast items. The Sausage Biscuits is a 10/10 I like how the fig jam, sage butter, sausage, egg and biscuit all blend well together with every bite. My second favorite is Bacon, egg and cheese, I had a choice to do it with an unglazed donut or a choice of bread. My favorite donut is the strawberry shortcake, it was the perfect donut to cure my sugar craving. When I do crave a coffee I recommend the Mayan mocha for a little chocolate action. I had such a great experience with Parlor Doughnuts, my friend Amanda had gone the weekend before and posted on her Instagram story and then my whole feed was flooded with Parlor Doughnuts! Intrigued I came with my husband on Sunday and was really excited when I could SMELL the donuts from where LoveSong Coffee. Thankfully the lines weren't insane when we arrived and the donuts were fully stock, they had a menu outside so it was pretty easy to review what we wanted and the costs are really reasonable, in my opinion! We ended up getting the sausage breakfast sandwich, a maple bacon, sandy beach, lemon bar, campfire and French toast. First let me say how friendly their team is, it was such an effortless order the only issue was the abundance of options! I wish I saw the dog donut because we brought our pom so next time. The donuts are super light, you would think they're dense with out they look but they're so light. My French toast donut was the right amount of sweetness lots and really tasted like French toast minus the sogginess. Now our breakfast sandwich was so good, I wish I could taste the sage in the butter but I definitely could taste the fig which was my favorite, next time I'll get add some brie from my kitchen, that would be heaven. Opening day free doughnut, what is not to like. Of course best foot forward is always the freebie should be a nice selection. However, who wants to eat only 1 donut. Not this Yelper. I love to try donut places. The setup seems to be a franchise that has a set of how it looks. So if you have gone to their other locations, I am sure you know the drill. But this is the first one in the city proper in North Park. Busy because of the free doughnut, we came later in the afternoon and they were not as busy as earlier when people lined up. The system is pretty quick, you see the various donuts available, price is listed up on the board. They have mini donuts in three flavors: cinnamon sugar, coconut cream filling and raspberry filling and they are shaped more like little pillows. I ordered two donuts, one free (double chocolate) and one paid for ($3.95 - churros, dipped in chocolate on one half and sugar on the other). Since this was late in the afternoon, I only took a bite of some of the donuts including the mini ones, and a taste of my friend's choices. For my choice, the churro was excellent and the double chocolate was good too. Here is my big test, how is this donut on the next day and day after that. Good news, if you kept it sealed (from ants or other members of your family), it still tastes good on the 3rd day. I mean you might love it enough to eat it in one seating but I am not a voracious eater so I ate it piece by piece in two days. On the third day, whatever leftover was also consumed. Donuts can be a bit pricey so I would probably order this on special occassions for a brunch or something. The mini donuts (10) was reasonable enough but limited ot the three flavors. Came here to get my free donut they were promoting for their grand opening. There was a line but it was moving fairly quickly. Service was fast and everyone was so friendly. Picked up the seasonal banana cream pie doughnut along with their popular French toast and maple bacon. These donuts are so good. I killed the banana cream pie before I realized I forgot to make a review video. It's doughy but almost has a flakey crossiant tight of texture. Not overly sweet and just the right amount of flavor to it. It is a light pricey though I might add. Each donut was about $3.65 unless you buy 12+ then it drops down to about $2-something. Very esthetically pleasing. A lot of room to sit and eat if you choose too. They have so many flavors that I wanted to try so I'll be sure to stop by another time to try the other ones. read more

TLDR; This is an amazing, family owned shop! Don't walk, run, to fill your soul with these fluffy, hand crafted doughnuts with vegan/gluten free option and TONS of flavors. While driving down University, I saw this cute little shop with a Hot & Fresh Sign lit up outside! That was enough to draw me in. They have such cute decor, with indoor and outdoor seating. Though, they are clearly a doughnut shop, they offer so much more! A huge beverage list with coffee, cold brew, lattes, seltzers, juices etc. and a traditional food menu. Definitely a place you could hang out at for sometime. When I got in, I was greeted immediately by someone behind the counter. She was so sweet and patient with me and took the time to go through every single flavor they have, twice! And let me tell you, they had A LOT of flavors, definitely something for everyone including Vegan, Gluten free and a Doggy Donut. A donut for the pups? Have to love that. I ordered one of their specialty doughnuts(not on the menu), it was Banana Cream Pie Filled and holy moley, my wife started eating it as soon as it was put in her hands. It looked like it was right out of a magazine, it was so fluffy and tasted like biting into a pie but, had the perfect balance so it wasn't too sweet. The other doughnut I ordered, Raspberry Pistachio, wasn't available in the window so she went back and made my donut fresh- Talk about great service! I could eat one of those daily. If an item is on their menu, and it's not available, they guarantee making it fresh for you. That doughnut was also super fluffy and truly gave me the adult pb&j vibes. Craving donuts this week, so ordered delivery from Parlor. The cronut style donut itself gets a 3.5 star, but unfortunately the flavors were a letdown. I tried the seasonal pumpkin Chai, Bluberry and Coconut cream filled varieties. The pumpkin Chai had such muted flavors that I had a hard time remembering what it was supposed to be while eating it. The Blueberry donut was similarly underwhelming, and the topping was so sparse that I felt like I was eating a plain donut halfway through. My favorite was definitely the coconut cream filled donut, which had refreshing whipped cream on top, coconut flakes, and what seemed at first like a generous filling. The first few bites were delectable! Unfortunately, halfway through, I discovered that the second half of the donut was unfilled, which left me unsatisfied. I don't really like sweets and especially donuts but came in with an open mind to try out this new donut shop. I got 2 donuts - Blueberry Hill and the French Toast which is their most popular donut. I came at 10am on a tuesday morning and it was pretty good. Their lattes were well made and they have a good selection of flavors. the service was slow, which was a bummer since there was only two other groups in there, but they were very nice. I was waiting for 10-15 minutes for my breakfast sandwiches, luckily the place is really cute and cozy so it wasn't the worst place to be stuck waiting :) The sasage biscuit sandwich with fig jam and sage butter was delicious. I was hesitant to order it since i usually don't like mixing sweet with savory but the spicy sausage mixed with the sweet jam and herby butter was an amazing combo. The bacon egg sandwich on the other hand was very very disappointing. It was dry and the sourdough did not taste good at all. Came on opening day to try this place out and I will definitely be coming back! I was able to get a free donut with the opening day promo they were running. I got a Cookies N Creme donut and a Vanilla Iced Latte. I was really shocked at how affordable the latte was compared to other coffee shops in the area. It was a little over $5 with tax, while most places around North Park are charging $7+. The Cookies N Creme donut was to die for, I absolutely love how flaky it is but soft at the same time. Their menu has so much variety and I want to try them all. The latte was sweet, but not too overwhelmingly sweet! The best way to describe the interior is that it feels as if I'm stepping inside a cute bakery in Disneyland. It has that Disneyland feel where you don't feel like you're in your own town because it's so cute and exciting. Just wow. I have been waiting for a gourmet donut shop to open in North Park. And they do NOT disappoint. The variety of flavors is really good but not great. There are several similar types of donuts - glazed, maple, etc. and several types of those. But they do have some amazing other donuts as well. The french toast, honey glazed, coconut creme, bourbon caramel, and strawberry shortcake were outstanding. The blueberry filled was meh - the filling was like canned pie filling. One other thing to keep in mind is that the doughnuts are flaky - similar to cronuts. They do not have a traditional look or feel to them. I loved it, but some folks maybe don't. I like it better than Nomads (sorry still love you guys) I usually wont spend money on breakfast sandwiches because they are overpriced but for $6.75 i had to try one. I got the spinach pesto with smoked gouda on sourdough and i really Liked it!!! Especially for the price. I was strolling University and came across this donut shop so I decided it was time for a sweet treat. I came late morning so the display was mostly empty but the worker told us all flavors were still available. We got the French toast donut based off the rec of the worker and it was so good! The doughnuts are delicious so if you don't mind subpar service then definitely come here. I was so appalled by the behavior of the staff and esp the manager of this establishment. We had placed an order online and then when we arrived to pick up you wouldn't think that we would have that much interaction for there to be a negative one but boy was there! As soon as we got there, we were asking about a 2nd sandwich that we placed online after our first order and the staff proceeded to question us about it saying there is no other sandwich and then interrupted us mid conversation and complained to us about how they can't do multiple things at once (mind you there were no other customers inside the store). Then they forgot one of our drinks and said there was no drink, but we pulled up the order on our phone to show them proof that there was a drink missing. And the staff were just generally unpleasant about the whole situation. While we were waiting for the forgotten drink to be made, the manager comes back out and says "why are they still here" The whole experience has just soured the establishment for us and we will not be returning. read more

It was my first time and I went in one hour before closing. There was still a good selection of ones I wanted to try. I had a coconut cream one and a vegan raspberry pistachio. I felt like the cronut concept was not well executed as it lacked the butteriness of being a croissant and the yeastiness of a doughnut. The coconut cream tasted too artificial. The vegan one was made of a certain type of flour that was left a very dry mouth feel. To say the least, I don't see myself returning as it missed the mark of being a hybrid dessert. The staff was nice though. Another note is I would have appreciated if they waited to sweep after closing. The debris flies everywhere and it doesn't seem sanitary to eat when they sweep. Their lattes are also very good and complement the donuts very well. Even better is you can order donuts in advance on their website to make it easier. For GF folks: all of their donuts have coconut! That being said, their donuts are delicious but very sweet. I liked the fruity donuts better (like the strawberry shortcake) than the super sweet ones like pb cup. That one tasted like they literally melted a pb cup on top of the donut, which, if you're into that, great! For me it's too sweet. I also got an iced honey latte which was ok. The espresso wasn't well balanced and was a bit bitter to me. This place was really cute inside, and I was surprised to easily get a table at around 11am on a Saturday. read more
