I've walked by this place for a few years and never went in but so glad I finally made it. The restaurant gets busy and I definitely see why. Good food that is not outrageously priced. The staff are all very nice even though they're busy running around. The owner checked in on my friend and I and we finally decided on the entrees to order and she threw in the hummus on the house for us to try. We loved the hummus and it's a perfect starter that isn't too heavy. We ordered the Lamb Koubideh ($18) and Beef Soltani ($21). Both were delicious but I enjoyed the lamb a bit more. It was softer and juicier than the beef in my opinion but both were still great. This is definitely a good spot to come for dinner or even get take out. I remember during Covid they had signs for takeout and I definitely recommend. Their entrees come with soup/salad, the protein, and rice. Perfect for a night in or out to dinner without breaking your bank.

Definitely not a busy restaurant, but I thoroughly enjoyed both the appetizers sampler & my chicken dish.

Food: I'd say the food are taste better with the experience, my fav is the appetizer sampler. A great start to enjoy a chill night. Service: we came to the area and check all the restaurants, this one is like a hidden gem, both the server and the owner came outside to invite us very friendly, I'm so grateful that we accept the invitation and enjoyed a unforgettable night with great food, drinks and ofc the rose. The owner Max was talking to us and introduce all the food in detail, Ambiance: again, it's a hidden gem, come visit sometime when you are not in a hurry, sink in the restaurant and smell the romantic vibe at each small corner. Price: $65/2 ppl with discount

The first Persian restaurant I've ever been to. I don't know much about their food, but after trying this I'd go back. It was near my sister's new apt and we were looking for somewhere new to take my parents. We got the appetizer sampler to start. Very good choice, had a wide range of items and you got to try several different foods. For my main dish, I got the lamb kofteh. I liked it, had a good amount of meat, and came with rice and veggies on the side. They also had several varieties of sangria to choose from, we went with one of the white ones, sweet and good. It's located on Diversey, in the heart of Lakeview/Lincoln Park, so there's a lot to do in the area. If you're interested in trying Persian food I'd recommend checking this out. It was all good and nothing too extreme or anything.

Forgot to take a picture before I started digging in

Just a great restaurant! Very homey and the food was so delicious and comforting! I have no idea why this cute, family owned Persian restaurant isn't popular. It would also be a great take out or lunch place too. The main comes with a lentil soup or salad - which was so yum! Service was amazing too. Highly recommend if you're missing some home cooked food!

Purchased a groupon for this establishment quite a while ago when planning my trip. Restaurant location is tricky (big signage out front but located in a basement). Pre-fix dinner included an appetizer sampler, pita bread, soup or salad, entree (up to 18.00), bottle of wine or pitcher of sangria, & dessert. Pita bread was warm and fresh, sampler platter was good and not overwhelming in size. Salad was an arugula mix with a very tasty house vinaigrette dressing. Ordered the chicken tenderloin (breast) kabob plate with rice and a small serving of salad. Dessert was pound cake with ice cream for 2. Chicken was very tender and pound cake was a tad dry. Overall food was good and portions were just right so you didn't leave stuffed and ready to roll out of there. Server and owner were very friendly, personable, and genuinely nice guys. Definitely support this local gem if you are a local or even visiting from out of town like I am!

The first time I came here was more than 15 years ago. I've told myself I'm going to come back over and over again every time I ate middle eastern food, and never did... until tonight. The lamb fesenjeh tasted exactly the same as it did back then. The hummus was so rich and flavorful, and the owner... still the same sweet old man I met 1.5 decades ago. Sometimes, I really don't like going back to places like this because I have a very personal connection to them. And it makes me very sad that father time is catching up to all of us, and memories popping up of past times that I'll never live thru again, with people that I will never see again. I will be back for sure and this time it won't be another 15 years. Also the lamb and chicken are halal for all my Muslim peeps.

I am familiar with the area but didn't know that this restaurant was located in this small strip mall. I pass this strip mall all the time when going to the Alamo Drafthouse for movies, but never thought about pulling into here due to the small parking lot and that it is always crowded. Walking into the restaurant, there is a kiosk where you can order your food. As it was late and I just wanted to eat and not make a lunch for tomorrow, I ordered a Spinach Pie and a Combination Meat Plate (Beef kabob, Kifta kabob, Chicken Kabob and Chicken shawarma. Served with Rice, Salad, Hummus and pita bread) so I could have leftovers to take to work the next day. I placed my order, paid for it and had to wait for about 15 minutes to get my food. While waiting, I was able to look around the restaurant to see it was clean and brightly lit. The table and floors were clean and there were a few customers dining inside. The staff was nice and friendly as well. I got my food home and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food in the combo dish. There was a good amount of meat and rice, enough for two people easily. The combo dish is $25 but well worth it. The meat was cooked nicely and had good flavor. As good as that combo dish was, that Spinach pie was on point! The flavor was great and the dough was nice and fluffy/tasty. The food was so good that I decided to put in an order on Grubhub the next night to get it for dinner for later in the week. I wanted to place an order on Grubhub to get free delivery as a Prime member, but the online menu did not have the Spinach pies listed, so I ended up having to call into the restaurant to place my order. When you call into the restaurant, they take your number and will send you a link to pay for your order and to send them your address and delivery instructions. I ordered the same items again, but got extra Spinach pies and a Greek Salad with chicken as well. The delivery guy was nice and brought my food up to me as instructed. The salad was fresh and there was plenty of Chicken Shawarma on top of it. I ended up having that for dinner as well as one of the Spinach pies and it was delish. The Chicken Shawarma was very nice and again, this was a decent size salad and was filling along with the pie. I definitely want to go back to try some of the other dishes that they have, like the wraps and the gyro plate and/or wrap. There is a lentil soup I would also like to try as well. I would definitely recommend Falafel & Grill for eats.

The hummus is fantastic, and the falafel is some of the best I've had, but my hands down favourite item is the Chicken Shwarma Wrap. That's the winner for me. The crew here was very accommodating with catering when we had a company event... and I watched a huge tray of wraps disappear in what seemed like minutes, so I can attest they were popular with our attendees. I enjoyed my beef shawarma over baba ghanoush plate, ~$11 (it made quite a filling lunch!) although I would've loved if they'd thrown some pickled veg in there. The beef shawarma is a bit different from shawarma I've had elsewhere--almost ground beef-like in texture--but the flavor was pretty good. Their baba ghanoush is also creamier than others I've had, seems quite similar to their hummus, with a lot of tahini mixed in maybe? I didn't love their chicken shawarma wrap in the past, but that might be because I'm not that into their hot sauce. I'd love to get their veggie platter sometime! Service is friendly and quick. What are the odds one restaurant can be a serious contender for the best falafel AND the best burgers in town? I've been there a few times and I'm in love with the ka'ak patty melt burger. Its not only melted cheese and grilled onions. It's bacon and jalapeño and za'ater mayonnaise. And it's two burgers. Served on an amazing sesame loaf. We split it and fries (also delicious with za'atar seasoning) and that was plenty.. But the onion burger is also pretty great. And you have to get the falafel. Also the onion rings. You may want to skip lunch. Ragadan has quickly become one of the first places I think of when we consider picking up dinner somewhere. We've eaten in, but there's not a lot of ambience. And even though they have a powerful space heater, the dining area is kind of cold in the winter. The kitchen is open though, so you end up interacting with the friendly staff. We were talking to this dude with his girl and he was from Italy and he seemed to have enjoyed his burger as well. We get double protein as much as possible as we're big eaters and the double pattie OK smash cheeseburger was excellent. The Ragadan salad was different with kale and it was pretty good (bright, fresh, and colorful) with extra kefta beef patties. We also smuggled in those Jennivee's cupcakes and ate them after our peaceful meal here in Uptown, which happens to be my old hood. I still remember eating sardines for dinner, just like Biggie. :)
