We continue to enjoy dining at Cappuccino Italian Bistro! The food is excellent and the service is extraordinary. The restaurant is gorgeous and the white tablecloths, fresh flowers and candle light on each table makes the meal extra special. Many years ago I signed up for their newsletter. I recently received an email gifting me with a free dessert with purchase of an entree to celebrate my birthday! Such a generous and delicious gift and very much appreciated! I saw a sign near the door that mentions Sweet Basil Restaurant. Cappuccino acquired this restaurant in the past year. I was told that it is also Italian food, but not the same exact menu items. Went in on a Saturday evening. An older man told us the specials so we gave him our order. A waitress came by later to take our order. Never knew who tje "real" waitperson was. Ordered the halibut special. Shame on me, I didn't ask the price. $50! What?!!! That got me a small piece of overcooked fish, some asparagus and about 1/4 c of rice. Not a good value at all. This restaurant is fantastic. No matter what you order to eat. you will enjoy the flavors of each dish. The pastas are so delicate no matter how you have them. The best Chicken Marsala I have ever had. And one of my favorites is the Blacken Salmon. Many dishes including steak, chicken, fish and shrimp are all very good. The staff are all great. Very friendly, and never forget about you. And the owner is always there to greet you. It is quiet and and it's a great place to have family gatherings where you can talk and have a great time. On a whim, we pulled in on a sat evening. To our surprise, this Italian bistro is a little step up from casual dining. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman who seated us immediately. The warm bread basket was lovely and we ordered right away. The table next to us had their meal cooked table side and another table celebrated a birthday with chocolate cake! The food was amazing, though one of our members came a little later all the food came out relatively quickly, beautifully plated, and delicious. I had high expectations for this place seeing that it is always packed. Tried to convince myself that it looked good when i saw it. First timer and last timer. The service was terrible for lunch today and it was a special event for the boss. Fortunately one of our party got us some menus. Took over 1 hour from ordering to when we got our food, then my food was not hot and had to send it back. But when it came back the pasta was hard and a "little" overcooked. Salad had old brown lettuce, but the dressing was good. Bread was good. And our waiter was friendly, just overwhelmed. Maybe a lack of adequate staffing. Restrooms were clean on a positive note. Large restaurant and they were able to accommodate our party of 7 on a Friday night at 6 without reservations. Host (and I assume owner) was very attentive but our server was rarely seen. I have been coming to this place for years and really thought I had reviewed them but oh well, here we go again! I love this place and the atmosphere! It truly has a great ambience! The service is always amazing and makes you feel like you are their most valuable customer! My regular go-to here is the Manicotti, but my real favorite thing to do is order the daily chef creation. Zero complaints. Food was excellent. Had the Chicken Piccata, was very good. Enjoyed the angel hair with marinara on the side. Could have had it with the same sauce but decided to just leave it with the marinara, glad I did. Sauces did not mix, and marinara was excellent. Service was good, bread before was excellent. Our waitress was amazing! Literally everything was DELICIOUS! Even the drink she recommended... Try a Lechee Martini, it's an indescribable flavor! Service was great. The food was decent. Not as fancy as I thought it would be from all of the photos on Yelp. The veal was quite tough, but edible. I also tried the crab claws which were pretty good. They do not have ranch for the cheese sticks, but my server let me in on a little secret... dip them in their Caesar dressing. Delicious! Escargot was not for me, but my dad's girlfriend enjoyed them. My dad got a chicken and asparagus dish that he said was really good. I tried the sauce that was on his plate and liked it. We played a soccer match at UTD and were looking for a place to eat afterwards. My wife said there is an Italian place just down the street that sounded nice. Boy was she right! The atmosphere is super not too much but real nice. We ordered three entrees, chicken Milanese, manicotti and pepper steak. The Milanese was in a lemon caper butter sauce and it was delicious. My wife had the manicotti in a meat sauce and it was so good. My pepper steak was prepared table side and was delicious. PS, the starter was scratch made rosemary bread. So good! Our service was outstanding and unassuming. This restaurant is a gem and should be recognized as such. We will be back. read more

We were a party of 10 but after an hour, only salads and soups came out. I had lobster bisque and it was cold and tasted like tomato soup w a few lumps of crab, $8. I ordered a kids plate for $6 for my kids to split because they are 2 yrs old, and the waitress asked if I wanted to split the plates for the kids before she brought them out, I was like, sure. They charged me $4 to split a child's plate that cost $6 and made no mention of it (apparently the menu said split charge of $4 but I thought it was split checks, and after pressing about the cost, the manager waived it). Their food was also brought out cold. I ordered tortellini and the serving size was so small (pic included) that it did not even cover the bottom of the serving bowl for $13 and also came out cold. All the other orders had fantastic portions, but the tortellini was ridiculously small. It took almost an hour and a half to serve food and the restaurant was empty. The young kids food should have been brought out with the soup considering it was noodles and alfredo sauce. Disappointed in the food and the time it took to be served. read more

I think Cappuccino is a great place for a meal when you want a quiet place to talk and enjoy your meal or conversation. It's actually a unique place for this area as other sit down restaurants around here are very loud and maybe a little more casual dining. I've had many business meetings here, it's always a classy place with great service and very reasonable prices. The food is excellent and there is a good selection of dishes. It kind of feels like white glove service at standard restaurant prices. It's a big thumbs up in my opinion. read more

Hands down it was one of the best restaurant dish I have ever had. I got the breaded tilapia. The garlic bread was perfect and the lemon sauce was perfect. I had to eat this dish as slow as possible to take in the mix of tastes. The waiter was also exceptionally nice. They even gave me my soda in a cup filled to rim with no ice. I've been meaning to go to this place for so long. I waited too long. I had a wonderful dinner. The special that night was chicken cacciatore, and it was one of the best Italian meals I've ever had. It came with some fettucine Alfredo on the side. When I mixed that in with the chicken, the result was a creamy tomato-ey concoction that was music to my mouth! Yum! They have a unique cappuccino pie dessert. Get that if you like coffee and ice cream! I need to go back and try more things - so many goodies on that menu! read more
