Pascucci has always been one of my go-tos for a group meal or a relaxing lunch. I basically go for the yummy cheese bread and any entree choice. The simple Caesar or the shrimp pasta are great choices. Add a tiramisu and fresh lemonade and it is the best meal. This location is smaller than the old locations, but the staff are still as welcoming and quick with barely a wait most evenings! I love the chicken piccata, and my husband loves the chicken with the multicolored pasta. Also love their rosemary potatoes. The ravioli's with five different flavors are amazing..the portions are large enough that we have a second meal at home later or the next day. We love the fish, pasta, pizzas, apps, salads, and desserts. The prices are always reasonable, the staff and owner are lovely, and they are wonderful about offering options, including gluten-free options. I was craving some Italian food for lunch and I stumbled upon this place. It was a nice day so I dined outdoors. Everything looked so good but I went with the chicken parm. This came with a side of Fettuccine Alfredo. First came a basket of garlic cheese bread. The bread was served warm and it was so good. I could make a meal on just the bread. The meal came and I was pleased with the portion size. What a great deal. This is one of the better chicken parms that I've eaten. The Fettuccine was also delicious. Food is delicious. I called in two kids meals for my daughter and her friend. They were quick to answer the phone and informed me it would only be about 10 mins. I show up about 15 mins later and was greeted after waiting in the front for about 2 mins. I let them know I had ordered two kids meals to go and wanted to pay. They took the money right away but it was about 15 mins for me to get my change. I think there is only one person there that's allowed to deal with the change and that person is VERY slow. Besides the long wait for my change the food was great. The kids meals are big portions and was more than enough food for my 10 year old and her friend and they come with garlic bread of course I had to have some too! Based on covid takeout. Handily met expectations. Takeout was quick around 18-20 minutes. The ravioli leading the two dishes. Perfectly al dente. The lamb inside was perfectly cooked and warm after a 20 minute transport. The sauce was rich, tangy, and not too heavy. The angel hair with shrimp and sundried tomato's was awesome. Pascucci's has been been one of my favorite Santa Barbara and quite frankly favorite restaurants of all time. It has been a few years since I had been to Pascucci since they were at the former State St location. So what I really noticed was portion size seemed to be a little larger but quality of dishes has gone from cravable to just average. Has the ownership changed? The dishes you to very fresh but now seam to made long time ahead for reheating on pasta at time of order? Anyway I was very disappointed as the result was my favorite dish the Balaggio (Bow tie past with cream sauce and mushrooms, onions, shredded smoked chicken, and sun dried tomatoes - amazing as originally made) but the chicken had obviously been soaking in the sauce for very long time and the taste of the original dish just was there. The same was true for every item we ordered. So the food is solidly good, but don't expect the same quality of Pascucci's of years past, in that respect I was sorely disappointed and my craving for my favorite dish of as not met. read more

I took my daughter and her boyfriend out for dinner. This place had 1 server and 1 other guy helping clear. We got there at 5:30 and the first thing I noticed was this poor older woman sweating, red faced and working her ass off. while no manager helping no front of the house person doing any PR. A table next to us was trying to pay and they ignored them for like 40 minutes. We saw our server 2 times the whole time we were there. 2 hours. She brought our food. My daughters had to go back because it was incorrect. She then waited another 25 minutes for them to bring her the correct dish which was so unacceptable. My food was ice cold. I do not blame the server. I blame the owner the manager. This is complete crap she should not have been put in that position to take care of the entire front of the house by herself. I still tipped her even though I shouldn't have, but I felt bad for her. Shame on whoever owns Pascucci. The only reason I didn't leave was because my daughter was so hungry. read more

Our last night in town and the Weatherman was in the mood for Italian and a glass of wine. We were seated immediately but had to wait a little bit to order drinks and dinner. We sat outside and the space was little tight. We were closer to others than we would've liked to have been. I decided on the Eggplant Parmesan and a Caesar Salad, the Weatherman ordered Risotto. I will say that my Eggplant Parm was 5/5, it was seasoned to perfection and came out piping hot!! The parm came with a side of fettuccine but that needed some more loving, it tasted like an afterthought...I left it on my plate. Hubby enjoyed his Risotto, I tasted but it wasn't for me. I have recently heard all these great reviews about this place. While in SB today for a Dr apt I decided to stop in and try it. Upon arrival you have to wait to be seated at a stand on the patio outside. We waited almost 15 mins nobody ever came to greet us. So we had to go in and ask. While standing on the sidewalk waiting we observed several of the tables on the patio dirty and not bussed or reset. After going to ask we were assisted by an older woman who sat us. As soon as we sat she walked away only to return in approx 3 mins to ask if we were ready to order we had not even opened the menu. She asked if we wanted to start with drinks which we ordered. We also ordered an appetizer and one entree as I was not quite ready yet being I hadn't been able to review the menu. Upon her coming back to the table I already had a very bad feeling by her overall demeanor and attitude. I asked about a particular item while she was standing there hovering waiting for me to order. She seemed to get very upset by my questions and then proceed to make a snide remark. At this point her attitude prevailed. She stated I'll be back as she caught a bad tude huffed and briskly walked away. Approximately "10" mins later We were then greeted by another employee, Juvencio. At this time I was ready to order. He repeated what we had previously preordered only to find she only told him about one menu item ordered. I had ordered ice tea unbeknownst to be it was Tropical flavored. Nasty. He kindly swapped it out for another drink. I think she should have told me it wasn't regular Ice tea and was flavored. From there on out the experience was much better. Juvencio did a GREAT job. Although he was the only one working he did an awesome job being greeter, server, bartender, busser and cashier. The place started filling up as it was just the beginning of the dinner hour. Still by himself he was on it. Greeting serving and bussing the many tables he had. My final thought on this place is I wouldn't be going back anytime soon if at all. I didn't find the food as good as everyone said it was. Mediocre at best. My entree was very salty as was my husbands dish. I think the older woman's employment needs to be reviewed. First impression as a first time visitor wasn't good at all. It all boiled down to initial service and food. Staffing also plays a big part of this experience. My mom had some questions and the server took his time to go over the options with her. Everyone loved their food. First the garlic bread included was so good! Dined outdoors on a Saturday and was one of the first to be served because we arrived just as they opened. The service was efficient. Our server refilled our drinks without us having to ask and checked on us periodically. For starters you get a basket of cheesy garlic bread which was A-mazing! We would have gotten another but we wanted to save room for our food. For an appetizer we had the meatballs and the portion was huge. There were 3 of us and we couldn't finish it. I came here for an early dinner with my mom on a Sunday - I made a reservation and we were seated promptly in the outdoor patio area. The indoor area, as of right now, is only reserved for larger parties. They brought out garlic bread to start and we ordered the Roasted Garlic & Baked Brie as well as the Mushroom Marsala. Both apps came with bread, so we were basically drowning in bread at that point (not a terrible thing). The Mushroom Marsala was salty, so it wasn't my favorite. The Brie came with garlic and sliced pears, which was a simple but super tasty starter. I ordered the Orvieto, which is essentially butternut squash ravioli. A few of the raviolis were completely missing squash, it lacked flavor and the dish itself was very oily. This pales in comparison to the butternut ravioli from Eataly (my all time fav/point of reference for any butternut ravioli). As for the shrimp piccata - the fettuccine portion was ok, but the shrimp that was with it was amazing - it came in a super lemony caper sauce that really added to the fettuccine. If I came back to this restaurant, I definitely would want to explore other dishes. read more
