I stopped by Pastaphony a few nights ago and parking was pretty hard to find. I walked in and there was no wait to order but once I ordered the food took about 30 minutes to prepare which was a bit too long. The owner did say it shouldn't have taken that long after, the dish came out to $29 and the food was decent but I don't think its worth the price and definitely not the long wait. Pretty disappointed.

My husband and I enjoyed lunch here with our dog on July 4th. The owner was so incredibly sweet, greeting us with a smile and handshake. He was patient in answering any questions we had. What a cool concept, to create your own pasta bowl! The possibilities are endless and there is truly something for everyone! My husband got fettuccine with pink sauce and breaded chicken. I ordered penne with Alfredo sauce and shrimp. In addition, we also got the cheesy garlic bread. Food came out in a timely manner and immediately within the first bite, we were impressed! The flavors just worked so well and we each enjoyed the sauce we chose. (tell me why when I woke up today, I couldn't stop talking about it and we wanted to go again haha) The bread was also a nice touch and was delicious with marinara on the side to dip it in. The only seating is outside on the patio and there is parking on wilshire street, a lot on amerige, or the structure further down wilshire. We can't wait to return to try more options like the truffle cream sauce or pesto! :)

They are located in downtown Fullerton. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and he took us through the menu since it was our first visit. Unfortunately, there was no indoor seating, but they offered outdoor seating. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the portions were generous. Overall, we had an okay experience. I'd go back to try other items on the menu.

Part of me almost hesitated to leave a review because it feels like one of those hidden gems you want to keep to yourself but they absolutely deserve the recognition. The food tastes genuinely homemade: rich sauces, flavorful dishes, and pasta cooked perfectly. Nothing about it feels mass-produced or overly commercial. If you're expecting chain-restaurant Italian, this is in a completely different lane. One thing I really liked was the build-your-own pasta option being able to customize exactly what you want is such a win. Portions were generous, everything came out fresh, and you can tell care goes into the food.

IG/TT @eatwkris The Fullerton location is family owned and makes their sauces in house! I recommend getting their truffle Alfredo. It's sooo creamy and delicious. I like making mine with fettuccine, shrimp, and spinach. I love that you can build your own and I definitely want to try the pesto next time.

YES! LATE NIGHT PASTA! Just having a late night place open, that's not a bar or cuisine centered around drinking (think some Korean restaurants, skewers, etc.), is a rarity and greatly appreciated. Pastaphony is a new franchise where you can build your own pasta or order the presets combinations that they already have. This location is open until midnight/1 AM on most nights (aside from Sunday), which is a GOD SEND. There's outdoor seating and indoor seating. I believe they share a space with another restaurant, since the restroom is in between to the right side if need be. All of the drinks are canned/bottled in the small fridge that they have and you can see that they're trying to make it into a hang out spot as they have board games and such here too and it's quite close to Fullerton College. The owner, I believe, Aybek (sorry, if I spelled wrong!) was super friendly and welcoming, shook both of our hands and introduced us and welcomed us into the restaurant. Super courteous and friendly and explained the entire menu to us. Food came out decently quickly and was delicious as well, can't go wrong with some pasta, garlic bread, and carbs. He was nice enough to throw in some complimentary Nutella bomb desserts as well. He also mentioned that his wife made all of the sauces. It's neat that there's a mom and pop shop vibe even for a franchise. For our late night visit, we got the: 1) Build Your Own (BYO) Pasta: -For BYO, you get a pasta and sauce of your choice, unlimited toppings, and you just pay a small extra fee for any premium toppings (the proteins). -We got the penne pasta with pink sauce (mix of the red sauce and Alfredo sauce), garlic, parsley, and basil. For the premium toppings, we got grilled chicken. -Comes out piping hot, very creamy and a generous portion as well. We had to take it to go since it was more than enough for 2 hungry adults in the dead of the mornight. -Grilled chicken was interspersed throughout and the flavoring from our toppings choice tied everything deliciously together. There's also parmesan and crushed red pepper packets if you need to add in more seasoning, but it was perfect the way that we had it. 2) Garlic Breadsticks: -This comes with 4 pieces and served with marinara sauce. -Super garlicky and fragrant. Delicious and a staple you can't do without. Fine on it's own and with the marinara sauce, but super addicting and delicious dipped into our pasta sauce. 3) Nutella Bomb: -Super cute that the owner drew 2 Nutella chocolate hearts on the pastries. It's bomboloni (fried Italian donuts) filled with Nutella. Soft and completely filled to the brim with Nutella. Best eaten fresh as the warmth makes the filling more gooey. Definitely will visit again in the future. If you're hankering for some late night eats and to carb maxxx, this is the place to go!

Super friendly staff and great service. I like how helpful everyone is, and my order came out very quickly. I'm a little sad though, because I ordered chicken with my pasta and they forgot to add it, but I was already home so it's too late for me to come back and ask about it. They also added parmesan to my order which I didn't request? The quality is great and the flavors are delicious, just a little heartbroken over my add on chicken :(

WOAH!!!!!! Astounding! This pasta spot is an absolutely sensational!! Parking is plentiful and an easy walk. There's outdoor dining, and it's actually clean. It's tucked in and quiet. The food is fantastic! We got make your own bowls and they were delicious!!! The real treat? Customer service. We met the owner whose passion really highlighted our entire trip. His hustle and drive to his customers, business and dream is so moving you taste it in every bite. We can't wait to come back!!

I was looking through new restaurants in the area this past Monday and found Pastaphony. There's an Italian spot nearby named Mamma Mia that I love but had to try this place out because they offer a Build-Your-Own (BYO) model of ordering that's very affordable! For my protein, I opted out for their shrimp which costed an extra $5. Amazing. No further words needed. For my protein, I opted out for their grilled chicken which costed an extra $4. Amazing. No further words needed. (5/5) **Cheesy Garlic Bread Sticks: YUMMY! The main thing restaurant lack is good bread but this place nailed it. There was a generous portion of cheese and garlic for this delicious, gooey treat. We had some hot and fresh which was delicious. We also had a piece later that evening when it was colder but it was still moist and so delicious! (5/5) WOW! Amazing food across the board. It was the first time we had pasta this good in a very long time. Not too salty at all and every single ingredient was so fresh. The shrimp was great but the chicken was cooked to perfection - so tender and moist even when cold! For the base price of $15 for a BYO minus the protein, the portions were MASSIVE. I had ordered online through their website via Apple Pay for an estimated pick-up time of 11:55 AM. When I arrived, the man working the shop gave me an ETA of 5 more minutes because they were busy for the lunch rush which was a-okay. The man offered me coffee on the house but I declined only because I had coffee waiting for me in the car already. 5 minutes go by and an additional 5 extra minutes but I was in no rush. Everything was freshly made to order and it was nice seeing him prepare my food right in front of my eyes. There is nothing more to say other than that this is a flawless and spectacular new pasta spot that I'd feel guilty to gatekeep. There are tables in side and a few outside but I think this spot is more designed for takeout orders. I will be returning again in the near future to try out more of their menu. Tried Pastaphony for the first time since hubby and I were undecided and to our surprise we found pasta that's open until late! So glad we stumbled upon this place because we're definitely coming back. First walking in we were welcomed by the owner who's very kind. We decided to create our own pastas and everything was fresh and delicious. We both got pasta with the arrabiatta and the blush sauce (my favorite) and were then introduced by the husband of the owner I believe. They were just extremely kind which made our first time here even better. What was a late craving turned into our new go to spot :) read more

Just walking by, looking for lunch, and stumbled upon Pastaphony. Hands down one of the friendliest and warmest businesses I've ever encountered. The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely down to earth, which instantly made the experience even better. The pasta is AMAZING. Pastaphony just opened in the Fullerton area and it's already become my new go-to lunch spot. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially Ivan, who took the time to walk me through how the menu works and give some great recommendations. The food itself was delicious across the board, but the biggest surprise was the cannoli. I'm usually not a fan, but theirs completely won me over--crispy shell, creamy filling, not too sweet. You can really tell they care about what they're serving and about their customers' experience. My girlfriend and I visited this location on a Tuesday afternoon. As soon as we approached the door, we felt an immediate warm welcome from the owner. He greeted us with an enormous smile and lively spirit. He then explained the ordering process thoroughly (you can BYO pasta). He was incredibly kind and patient! We were then told that his Italian wife makes all of the sauces from scratch. The pasta was so delicious. The service was amazing, attention-to-detail, and the food was superb. You can tell that the owners really care about their food quality and customer satisfaction. This place deserves more recognition! I highly recommend and will be going back :) read more

Pastaphony is definitely my new go to spot for my pasta cravings! My boyfriend and I ordered the Signature Penne Arrabbiata (added meatballs) and the Fettuccine Alfredo with truffle sauce (added grilled chicken)! Both dishes came out amazing with the pasta texture being perfect while being generously coated with their homemade sauce! The meatballs were full of flavor and the grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful! Portion sizes are generous! As well, their Nutella Bombs were a nice touch to finish the meal! They were like soft fluffy donuts filled with Nutella! This spot was run by the sweetest husband and wife who had some of the best hospitality I have experienced. My boyfriend and I were welcomed with the biggest smile from the owner while he walked us through the menu and constantly checked up on us throughout the meal! It took 45 minutes to get a chicken Caesar salad and bowl of pasta. The place was was empty besides 1 person waiting when we arrived just before 6pm on a Friday. And the pasta came out first. A little hole in a wall establishment in the SOCO district of Fullerton is Pastophany. Every now and then I get an insatiable desire for some authentic Italian food. This is it. It is not pretentious. What it is is home style Italian cooking. The portions are generous, the quality is excellent. Their meatballs are beef and that's the only kind that I eat so it works out for me! It is very small, with just a few tables, but if business continues like this it's going to grow. Options for quick and delicious pasta are far and few, so when I saw this place recently opened up I had to come before it blew DTF out of the water! The owner is very welcoming and was happy to break down the ordering process and each question you could have regarding the menu. The sauces are homemade and really do have that true robust flavor that you can only really get when you do it yourself. The food came incredibly hot, and still felt fresh out of the pan after I drove 20 minutes back home to eat. Amazing quality and a very welcoming spot that just oozes of high caliber eats. The service was great the owner greeted everyone in my large party. The food was very delicious we had spaghetti and meatballs, chicken alfredo. The cheese garlic bread was a favorite lots of cheese and nice and greasy. It had very limited seating. For larger party's there are only a few tables outside. Inside they only have 2 counters that have about six barstools. However, the weather was nice outside and we didn't mind sitting outside. Especially because the food was delicious and the service was great. Another plus is that they were open very late until 1am. So, we plan on going back when we are nearby. read more

Started walking around Downtown Fullerton looking for a place after our favorite burger spot closed early. The sign caught our attention! The staff are so kind and courteous. Loved the options to customize your own pasta. But went with a specialty pasta and was not disappointed. The shrimp pinko was perfect. And their marinara sauce was the best I've I've ever had. First time trying and went with my friend and we had an amazingly friendly experience! The owner immediately welcomed us, introduced himself, and took the time to show and explain the menu to us as it was our first time dining here. The food came out extremely fresh and honestly for it to be made by order, it came out pretty fast too! He said his wife makes the sauces and they were delicious! My friend got the fettuccine alfredo and I got the pink sauce with penne and grilled chicken and they were both yummy! I appreciated how flavorful the sauce was and the grilled chicken was juicy and tender and not dry like other places tend to be. Again, I can't say enough how nice the owner was but I think all his staff were because I saw his team check in on every table when I was just glancing around. Visit and support just for that. He checked in on us consistently and brought our food and drinks to the table for us (which I don't think he had to, it was just our first time coming so we weren't too sure how the process was) but he did and it was such a kind gesture. The cheesy garlic bread, can never go wrong. A more elevated version of Olive garden breadsticks, so delicious! Cesar salad was basic but not bad, I may try the other salad next. He then brought us some complimentary nutella bombs. (AGAIN, AMAZING SERVICE!) And these were surprisingly fantastic. They were fresh and soft and rich. Can't go wrong with a donut! They've only been open for a couple of months but I truly had a great experience and I hope it succeeds just because of how generous the owner is! Food was tasty and the service was impeccable! I don't write food reviews like ever but his friendly service plus with the tasty quick pasta that'll satisfy any pasta or Italian craving either for a cute casual date or a friend dinner, I had to share my experience here. This place was amazing! The owners shake your hand, ask you your name and remembers it even after 2 hours later when you're finishing up asking you how everything was and if we need anything else. The customer service was in another level. The pasta was creamy and full of flavor. We loved the fettuccine with chicken, garlic bread and the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti. New spot that has opened and I'm am quite pleased with my first visit. My fiancé and I split a salad and pasta with some cheesy bread, and everything was fresh and delicious. The bread was soft yet covered generously in cheese. The Italian salad was well balanced with its ingredients. And the Alfredo mushroom pasta was the best, plus they were generous with their chicken portion we had added. Some pieces were soggy, as if they hadn't been cooked long enough, while others were a bit chewy. The pasta also didn't seem to be made in-house. At nearly $40 for an entrée, it felt overpriced, especially when there are several nearby restaurants that make their pasta from scratch for a similar or lower price. Our waitress did her best despite seeming overwhelmed and having some difficulty with the portable POS system. She remained polite and attentive, so I don't fault her for the experience. Overall, this wasn't the quality we remembered, and unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Our family had a wonderful dining experience at Pastaphony! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The owner was absolutely fabulous, professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. He took the time to recommend some of the best pasta dishes, and every suggestion was spot on. The pasta was outstanding fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every bite was delicious and perfectly prepared. To top it all off, we enjoyed their homemade tiramisu for dessert, and it was absolutely amazing. Rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, it was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. I happened to stumble upon Pastaphony by chance, and I'm so glad I did. The owners were very welcoming and provided the best service I've ever received. The food itself was amazing. I could tell that the ingredients were fresh from the first bite, and the meal was filling, but not heavy. Went on a date night here and the food was great the owner is very friendly and kind and genuinely cares about the service they have nice games and activities for kids to play with as well and the owner was nice enough to offer us free dessert and a small coffee definitely will be back again. read more
