The thing about Fullerton is I have to CONSTANTLY be checking this app to see what new options I have when it comes to coffee, lunch, dinner. Came home from Hollywood late and was about to hit up one of the regular fast food chains, but decided to do a Yelp search for late dinner options and Pastaphony appeared in my search. They are open until midnight which is amazing! I noticed one of my other friends on Yelp, Laura N was also checked in here so I was confident this was going to be a good choice and I'm happy to report IT WAS! Ordered via their website around 9:30 pm on Monday, January 19th. I went with the fettuccine truffle mushroom cream and added basil & spinach at no additional cost. The order was scheduled to be ready by 9:50 pm. Waited around in my car until 9:50 pm then walked up to the location. Outside it's brightly lit and they have seating and a sectioned off outdoor area. Inside it's just the register and pick-up counter. There were 2 gentleman inside, one must have been the owner/chef and the cook in the back. My order was packed up with my receipt out front and the chef handed it to me personally and thanked me for stopping by. I live close by and was able to enjoy it within five minutes and it was so good! The cream was not liquidy and it didn't feel or taste too heavy, it was just right and the flavor was delicious! The mushrooms tasted fresh and the spinach and basil added some fresh flavor. The only thing I would've done differently was add chicken, but other than that, it was the perfect late dinner. 2026 I'm trying to make a conscience effort to try more small business eateries instead of the large fast food chains and so far it's paying off! They're pretty new, but I decided to try it since they're open late (which is perfect because my classes end late and most pasta spots are already closed). Came here on a whim and apparently it only opened four weeks ago. We got pesto fettuccine, pasta with red sauce, chicken Parmesan, and then my youngest daughter who's a very picky eater just got regular spaghetti with Parmesan cheese. Listen I only like red sauce but the sauce on this thing was the best pasta I've had in my life. The Shrimp penne pinko was a favorite at my house as well. What I loved most is that the owner was there working the front, shakes your hand and thanks you for your business. Just shows that he takes pride in his establishment. A great way to know if the food is good, the kitchen is literally right there where you can see your food being cooked. This is coming from a guy who does HVAC/R for a living, so I've been inside a lot of kitchens and this one you can trust. As many others have posted the owner introduced himself and was so welcoming explaining that they use fresh pasta and his wife makes the sauces - "just like at home".
