Went here on last Saturday to watch US vs England in World Cup on Hermosa Pier. About a group of 7 stopped in for a couple morning pickle backs and beers. This place was great , easy in and the atmosphere was great. Bartender at end of bar when walked in was super friendly and just really made for a start of great day. I've been to Patrick Molloy's a few times now, and my favorite was definitely on St. Patty's Day. It was crowded inside but not to the point where you didn't have space to move. The bouncers were really friendly and the cover was very reasonable compared to other places on the pier. They played really great music (some hip hop and throwbacks) and almost everyone was dancing. The last time I came on a Saturday night and surprisingly, it was pretty dead. There weren't a lot of people inside and the music could have been better. It didn't seem like many people were dancing other than our group. Also they charged a cover which they didn't seem to do before so that was a bit disappointing. read more

Visited here with my cousin who recommended the fish tacos, and they didn't disappoint. Our server was very pleasant and attentive and answered the couple questions we had, including the type of fish the tacos were made with, Cod! I did have a great IPA to start which hit the spot on a hot day. We were only eating it as an appetizer, so we shared the two tacos and chips and salsa and it was just right for the two of us. The tacos were nice and hot, and the salsa provided for the chips and tacos was nice and spicy, just like I love it. All in all a nice experience, right at the pier, great for people watching if you sit outside, which we did. Can get busy on the weekends, but wasn't too crowded on a Friday afternoon. Not sure the menu is anything to write home about except maybe my friend would say... The deviled eggs. Skip the Brussels that were covered in oil. Not a bad variety on tap for brews if that's your drink of choice. The highlight was the LIVE band the night we were there. Wise. Wow just wow. I'm guessing they have a good selection that comes through here on LIVE band night. Would come here again to catch a game because of the comfiness factor and the number of TVs here. I'm a local and been coming out over a decade. Molloy's used to have typical bar food, okay drinks and inconsistent service. During Covid they made some spectacular changes and I come out at least once a month. There food is so much better! I love all of their improvements! First off their food is so much better, everytime I go to try something new just to see how it is and haven't been let down at all! My favorite boneless wings and sliders. Second, drinks are more creative and amazing! I really like the direction they are going and they are consistent. They have a margarita on tap/draft which is very cool and good. The Skrewball cocktails are so yummy especially the root beer floats! Lastly, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Absolutely unacceptable! If I could give Pat Molloy's zero stars, I would. The experience my family had here was beyond disappointing, thanks to the unbelievably rude host. We simply asked if we could change our baby somewhere other than the bathroom since there isn't a changing table in there. Her response? We could not change him on our outdoor table and needed to change him on the bathroom floor. We completely covered our outdoor table with blankets and a changing pad, and asked those around us if anyone minded and they all said not to worry at all and they understood, yet she still came up to us and told us no, and then rolled her eyes at us. It's clear this establishment has no consideration for families with young children. This isn't just an inconvenience; it's outright discrimination. While the rest of the staff seemed pleasant enough, this host's behavior completely ruined our day. If you have kids, steer clear of Pat Molloy's. They obviously don't want your business. read more

We sat outside on the patio, which features a great atmosphere. For breakfast, I ordered the avacado toast and some scrambled eggs. My avacado toast was extremely delicious and enjoyable. Prices are appropriate for the quantity, and they have a really good bottomless mimosa deal. I opted not to drink, but this place would definitely be at the top of my list for a Sunday brunch mimosa session. If you haven't tried this place yet, go ahead and check it out. It's a great restaurant and bar to catch a game, as well. Whether it be weekend brunch, or a wild weekend night, Patrick Molloy's is there for you. Our server was relatively attentive the only thing is when she spoke to us , it was as if she was talking to her 20 something year old friends using cuss words, she was NOT cussing at us just using the language.
