We were kindly greeted when we first came in by all the staff. The menu had a nice selection of food and the dining area was very clean. I ordered the chili size, which was served on a huge plate, but had a small portion of food. To their defense, they did offer, twice, more chili; however, if you are going to serve a small portion of food, use a smaller plate so it looks bigger. My husband ordered the French Dip, which was also a small sandwich. We weren't that hungry, so it worked out, but it would have been nice to have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. We ordered the Peach Cobbler and it was amazing!!!! I gave them 4 stars because they could have given us a decent portion of food up front, but instead asked if we wanted more which would have made me feel like a piggy wiggy if I said yes. read more

This is a perfect family cafe. They have all the amenities including a tiny bar to smooth out any edges. Very cute. Lots of booth seating, nice clean bathrooms and down home atmosphere. The food is very good with generous portions and sturdy menu selections sure to please all of your family members or friends. We have a variety of food allergies among our brood and have fed them here successfully many times. Too bad the kids don't like tacos. Nice people. Good food. Clean spot. Went there for breakfast while stopping through town on our way to go camping. I think their Mexican food is probably the way to go when ordering, it looked really good. I noticed after that they had a specials board with a tamale Benedict, and someone nearby ordered what looked like huevos rancheros and a big bowl of ahogados soup. But the traditional strawberry pancakes and eggs Benedict were awesome as well! The waitress was very kind and inviting. I would return if ever in town again. read more

Hands down the best enchiladas I have ever had. Steak enchiladas w/ their green sauce; yum yum! The sauce was absolutely amazing!! Diner done right! It's a typical breakfast and lunch diner type menu. Sandwiches and burgers, with a small selection of Mexican items. It's priced well. The thing that stood out for me was that this typical, simple menu was executed perfectly. I had a club sandwich. So often the bread is too toasted and tears up the roof of my mouth. Not here! Lightly toasted and just enough to add a little crunch. Bacon was lightly crisped without being overlooked. The fries were light and crispy. Like perfect McDonalds fries, if you get what I'm trying to say. It's rare to get perfect McDonald's fries, but when you do... Come to this excellent place to eat. The food is great, and they are generous with their portions. Coffee's always hot. It's a place to sit and truly be comfortable. OMG!!! So happy we stumbled on this place , thank you Yelp! Massive portions, very good food, reasonable prices; did I say massive portions? We were at Edwards AFB looking for something a short drive away, really lucked out. Bacon, 4 big slices, potatoes (or fruit), and biscuits 2 with gravy. $8.95....whatttttt! Fresh salsa, yum. This place is so yummy! Stopped in because we were passing through the area and we were kindly greeted right away with smiling faces. I got some yummy potato tacos specially made for me because of my dietary needs and my boyfriend got eggs benedict, and we could not have been happier! Patty's Cafe!!!! Absolutely adore this place! We go very frequently. The food is amazing any time of the day. We go a lot for breakfast and within the past couple months decided to change it up for dinner as well. Best idea ever! I prefer their dinner over Sal's. Especially their wet tamales! Also, I love how we and nearly everyone else are remembered. It feels like that family meal every time and Maria is honestly why we keep coming back. I went on a Sunday morning a couple weeks back and the place was dead. I think there were about 5-6 full tables and only one waitress. She was super sweet, but it took a very long time for us to get our food and drinks. The food was good, but just basic breakfast food you could find at any small town cafe. I just read a review that gave Patty's only 2 stars. Well all I can say is this person should get a life. We drove from Lancaster tonight for dinner. Couldn't of had better service nor food. All I / we (wife) can say is the other restaurants in the Rosamond better get better or just close your doors. This place is the bomb. Reasons for my rating, 1: Cleanliness of the establishment 2: Friendly Staff 3: Steamed vegetables on the side was very good. Not like most places that serves canned veggie that looks gross. This was steamed, but still little crisp, it was perfect. 4: Overall experience from my visit. 1 star off for the overall taste of food. We wanted to try the local cuisine, so we did. Didn't have too high of an expectation to avoid huge disappointment. Food selection was fair, price was fair, but the meals itself was eh. My husband had the chicken fried steak and it was not up to par. Meat was tough and gravy and overall dish lacked seasoning. There's a difference between mild seasoning and no seasoning, and I'm usually very sensitive to how the food is seasoned, so when I say "you should add salt", that is equivalent of very bland food. We also got the peach cobbler. Here's the thing, if you are expecting a classic, country peach cobbler, don't order this one. If you'd sold it to me as "peach cobbler inspired dessert", it was very good. When I'm expecting peach cobbler, I'm not looking for a custard-ish filling. For as long as I've been cooking and making various recipes of peach cobbler, I have yet to see anything like this. Like I said, if I was sold otherwise, it was a good peach dessert, just not peach cobbler. Take it with a grain of salt, you know, my family's taste buds are not certainly be all end all, but we do cook a lot, try lots of new things, and have very diverse taste buds that's finely tuned. ;) read more

Just tried this place today....we had a party of 6 and we all basically ordered burgers...the wait was a little to long....when the food arrived there were mistakes off the bat....are meat patties were like huge balls with no flavor and big slices of tomatoes the bread was falling apart....basic food....plus one person at are table received there food like 10mins after we all got ares....plus I paid $68 for some basic food I could have made at home better.....the only reason I give to stars because the place was clean and they sell beer.... read more
