Came here for lunch with my nephews, we ordered a old fashion Chicago deep dish pizza. Flavor was decent, but the only part of the pizza that was hot was the edge. The rest of the pizza was at most luke warm. There wasn't much cheese on this pizza, only cheese was near the bottom of the pizza. I've been to other Patxi's locations and even ordered to go before and it was much better then what I had today. Patxis was the perfect venue for our wedding rehearsal dinner. We envisioned a summertime outdoor event with around 100 guests and the patio at patxis had the perfect vibes, food, and drinks for the event. Their menu is extensive with choices for all, even a delicious vegan pizza. Most importantly though, the manager Paulo and his team were the best hosts. They were always accommodating to our requests and provided alternative layouts for the seating area. And lastly, for 100 guests, the dinner was very affordable. Paulo was even happy enough to provide me regular updates on the bar tab since I had a feeling we might be having too much fun. We were in the area and my bf was craving some deep dish so we decided to give this place a try. We sat out in the patio and it was pretty nice out there. There's a bar out there as well and some tv screens which would be a nice place to watch the game at. We ordered the burrata bruschetta and the 12" Matt Cain to share. The Matt Cain deep dish was ok, it was good but didn't blow my mind. It was also a bit too cheesy for me. I will definitely recommend the burrata bruschetta though! It was my first time having bruschetta and I really enjoyed it! The cheese was really good and the tomatoes, arugula and pesto went really well with it. The 10" was way too big for us though, only finished half! So if you order an appetizer or a small dish plus a deep dish for two people, I would recommend a smaller pizza size, unless you want leftovers :) read more

Upset with the non existent service that we received today! We came in for lunch and was greeted by the hostess and sat outside due to it being a nice day. From there on, we just sat and sat and sat and sat until the point we decided to leave! We noticed that there were hostess walking around, cleaning up tables, and behind the bar but no one came to see if we were ready to order, for drinks or nothing. I love Paxtis but really disappointed in the service that we received on today! We left and the same hostess waved at us goodbye instead of inquiring on if everything was okay or even an apology. read more

Had dinner here after a day at the pumpkin patch. No wait at all... service was fairly fast and only one server was working at the time. Haven't had patxi's in years! Was nice to get a little fix. "Five Star Service, Pleasant Patio Dining" There's a reason this restaurant continues to improve, ARNEB!!! The restaurant is open for outside dining, as well as orders to go. There's a large patio area, which is like a hidden oasis. I found it pleasant to sit outside and have a beer and a light meal on a hot summer day. We are visiting from SoCal and came here for a family dinner. Man, I've never had truly deep dish pizza until we came here. The pizza crust even has cheese folded into it. They give a bottle of honey for you to eat with the crust. The Caesar salad was a favorite. We got it with the anchovies on the side and these are legit anchovies. Still 3 stars. I ordered Matt Cain Pan Pizza this time. Although the flavor was pretty good and I actually liked the crust (I could tell the bottom part of the crust part was still kinda crunchy despite being topped completely with tomato sauce), but the tomato sauce was waaaaaaay too runny. As my bf and I sliced our pizza, some tomato-ey water just gushed out in a very unappetizing way possible. I'd like to see much firmer tomato sauce or paste on my deep dish pizza please. Somethings not right. I understand COVID times but Patxis is tricking us. Create your own pizza with spinach and roasted garlic is really arugula and raw whole garlic cloves. Not the same. And if you don't have spinach just say so. Arugula does not wilt to the same delicate leaf like spinach does. It's stringy and not pleasant on a pizza. Raw whole garlic cloves are not pleasant either. Same with the spinach pesto pizza. There's no spinach just wilted arugula. Stringy weirdness with the leaves. If I order from these guys again I'm gonna deliberately ask if the spinach pizza has spinach on it or Arugula. Sounds lame but it's a difference between ordering again from Patxis or finding a meal elsewhere. And they gotta figure out the to go system. It's inefficient with one person in at a time. UPDATE: 9/28/20 The restaurant contacted me and offered to make this right. This is great customer service to be proactive as Patxis Dublin is. For this reason I am adding a star to this review (originally 3 , now 4 ). The next pizza is on them, but I asked for a refund instead and it was honored. I love this place! They have a delicious vegan deep dish pizza, the best iced tea around, and their sherry vinaigrette dressing is worth the trip alone. So much fun to dine out on the patio - they have misters to keep you cool in the summer, propane heaters to keep you warm in the winter, and there is always great music playing! Service can be hit-or-miss, and a trip here can get a little pricey (I do wish they would include a vegan selection on their lunch special), but when you're in the mood to treat yourself, this place is a guaranteed good time! read more

We recently hosted a birthday celebration at Patxi's. Not only did the management reserve and accommodate my party at their outdoor patio, he was able to section off a particular area. First, let me start off by saying that the service was exceptional! They were very attentive and was able to provide everything we asked for. And...the food was great! Since I have been to Patxis Pizza in Lafayette so I had some idea what the food should have been like. The new Dublin location kitchen needs improvement. The booth that my wife and I sat at was made for little people. With my back directly against the booth back my chest was about 6 inches from the table. Im a big guy but this booth made me feel like "Hulk Hogan". We ordered the following: Cesar salad 4 stars nicely dressed we shared good portions Meatball appetizer 3 stars good taste but came 4 small meatballs in a baked dish and sauce. The appetizer that was served at the Lafayette location was one huge meatball and was what I expected. Deep dish pizza 2.5 stars the pizza was very soggy and just bled all over the plate when cut. It's always sad when your updated review means deducting a star or 2, especially when it's for a restaurant you typically love. I've been a huge fan of Patxi's for almost 5 years now and visited multiple of their locations yet this update is barely even pushing 3 stars after multiple visits. The first 2 times I visited here the experience was great but every other time since then not so much. For some reason they always seem to rush the Pizza's out to the table which is great if only the Pizza was completely cooked throughout, I've lost count now how many time we have had to send Pizza back due to it being cold in the middle. This past Sunday my Husband and I both visited for dinner and without fail our Pizza came out cold in the middle, we informed the server who took it back to the kitchen only to return with it just 6 minute later, clearly not long enough as it was still only luke warm in the middle. We were hungry and wasn't going to go through the hassle of sending it back again though. We also had some really laid back service, maybe because we were say outside? The server who bought the Pizza out asked if we wanted any Ranch or Parmesan Cheese to which I replied with some Ranch. Simple request, right? Nope. after 15 minutes and 3 attempts to get a servers..no Ranch. I finally got someone's attention and asked again only then waited another 10 minutes. The sever finally came back and asked ''oh, you haven't got your Ranch yet?'' Chance would be a fine thing. We finally got it 45 minutes after the Pizza and by the time we were done with our meal. I can somewhat understand forgetting maybe once but if you make a point of asking the customer if they would like a specific item you make sure they get it. I like this location for it's convenience after a movie but I think I would rather drive to the Livermore location that we also frequent. read more

Patxi's is my favorite of the deep dish pizzas in the area (Zachary's, Little Star/Blueline being the others). The pizza has a sweet sauce with tons of cheese, and a very "bready" tasting crust. This is already a good balance IMO, but in the restaurant they give you honey to balance that breadiness, which is a nice touch and definitely recommended. Patxi's also exceeds my other requirement of pizza, which is pizza that's just as good the next day. It reheats well, just follow the same instructions they give you for half-baked pizza. This location is now the closest to my house and I'll be visiting frequently, especially because we received such great service on our first visit. The deep dish pizza usually takes 30+ minutes to be ready, so we called ahead to order. They don't have takeout right now since they just opened, so we made a "preorder" to be able to come in and eat right away. The girl on the phone asked the manager and got the OK, but said they were crowded so we might not get a table. Cool, so... can we just take it to go then? This was also no problem, and what we ended up doing. So we kinda bent the rules, and they didn't care at all, just wanted to provide great customer service. Very respectable. The inside area is pretty small, but there's a lot of space outside to eat. I didn't see any heat lamps out there, but other reviews state that they have them. For me, one slice of a deep dish pizza and I'm already full! I love that they are very accommodating to different allergies and preferences, including the option for gluten-free and whole wheat. And don't forget to eat the crust with the HONEY offered on the table. Yes, that's what it's there for. ;) For an appetizer, try the burrata bruschetta. The creamy burrata paired with nutty pesto, roasted garlic, tomatoes, and arugula on focaccia bread is a delight! When we ended up at Patxi's a couple of Thursday's ago, it was by accident. I had taken the day off and was planning a short jaunt to Whole Foods. My mom decided to tag along, which was fine. I had originally planned to pick something up for lunch, but it was a pretty day (pre-orange skies) and she suggested we eat out somewhere. I was craving sunshine and still riding my COVID paranoia, so the first place that popped into my mind was the patio at Patxi's. I had had several post work pizza there in the past and thought it would suit Mom. We were in luck, because out late start meant we were there right around noon. We ended up having the patio mostly to ourselves. Nestled under an umbrella on a warm, sunny day, it was a pleasant place to be. I didn't mind the 1/2 wait for my pizza. There is something truly satisfying about a Chicago-style pie. We really enjoyed the artichoke dip (yum) and Mom's Italian Sandwich. I really like the bread (focaccia) they use and the cold cuts have that toothsome quality that really give a sandwich great texture. you can taste the quality. The waitress gave me endless refills of lemonade and was really pleasant. Something to note: they are taking social distancing and safety protocols quite seriously without being jerks about it. if you are in Dublin, this is a great option if you want to be outside. Came here one Friday evening with some friends over dinner. Luckily there was no wait! PARKING: Located in the new plaza in Dublin, plenty of parking! Though you may have to park a bit further. There are so many eateries and shops at this plaza. It always seems to be popping! SEATING: Limited indoor seating as it seemed like their outdoor patio had more seating. There are some regular tables, booths, and high top tables. Outdoor patio is pretty cool with a bar outside too! FOOD: Of course they're known for their pizza!! Deep dish is delicious and a must-have. For the four of us, a 14" deep dish and 10" thin crust did the trick! Love that you can do half and half on the pizzas - it's like getting four different pizzas! I'm a big fan of the BBQ Chicken (comes with jalapeños on top). The Matt Cain (pepperoni and sausage) is great for meat lovers. We also tried the Blanco Verde (cheesy pesto) and classic Margherita, both of which was a great and light contrast to the heavy meat pizzas. Would definitely come back here! It's hard for me to understand why our food order is always cold by the time it arrives and because of this I've completely stopped ordering their deep dish pizza. The worst thing is to reheat a pizza the first minute of receiving it. Also Zachary's is a way better option for deep dish pizza. I would only recommend this restaurant for their thin crust pizza. The restaurant offers many vegetarian friendly options and ingredients are always packed. My personal favorite is the Proscuitto & Arugula, it's super flavorful.
