Feb 10, 2026 I am…read morevery happy with my regular dentist Nadia Navid, as I have been going to her for over 15 years. During my last check-up, it was determined that I needed a root canal on the #30 molar, and I was given a choice of Orest M Balytsky, DMD, in Petaluma (who retired some time ago), and a married endodontic couple in Santa Rosa (forgot their names). I called the Petaluma one to get a rough estimate and was quoted $2906. So I called Santa Rosa and was quoted $3405. Both seemed a little high to me and when I mentioned it to two friends, they agreed. I then chatted with my neighbor, and she said that her husband and daughter went to Dr. Mark Roper on Cypress, and they were very pleased with him, and she suggested I call. THAT WAS THE BEST DECISION I COULD'VE MADE! The quote from Beverly, the receptionist, was almost $500 cheaper than Dr. Balytsky, and almost $800 cheaper than the Santa Rosa one. I made an appointment and immediately felt confident with Dr. Ropper, and his dental tech, Amy, and when he checked my tooth, he said I didn't need the scan -- saving me $150 right there!!! To make a long story short, I just got home and could've been happier -- not just the reasonable cost (total $2490) but the professional treatment and overall experience. (2 weeks after my root canal, I learned from another friend how happy he was with Dr. Roper.) As Beverly explained, Dr. Roper does not have multiple partners or office locations and doesn't have a huge staff -- just Amy and Beverly. I can't recommend Dr. Mark Roper and I hope my dentist, Dr. Navid, takes note of my 5-star experience/rating, and recommends her other patients to this excellent practice. She owes it to her patients -- and not just for cost reasons.

So disappointed in our family's experience here. This was our second visit for our child. Our first…read morevisit was complimentary due to a promotion. At that time, I went over our insurance information in detail with the front desk staff. I was told that although our insurance was out of network, it would fully cover cleanings and basic visits. We returned on 2/11/26 for our 16-month-old's appointment. The staff brought us back, asked a few questions, and the dentist examined and counted my child's teeth. That was the entirety of the visit, which was fine and expected for their age. However, when we were leaving, the front desk charged my husband $97. I was surprised by the cost given the brief nature of the visit and confused about why our insurance hadn't covered it. Since we hadn't been in since August 2025, I assumed perhaps our coverage had changed in the new year. Something didn't sit right, so I called the office the next day. I was told they had not run our insurance and had charged us directly instead. They were aware of the mistake. While I understand mistakes happen, what concerns me most is that the office was aware of the error but did not reverse the charge, notify us, or apologize. I can't help but wonder whether we would have ever received a refund had I not called. Mistakes happen in any business, but how they are handled matters. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling uneasy about the office's transparency and communication. I have requested that any future appointments be canceled, as we no longer feel our values align.

I have been bringing my sons to see Dr Ramos for 4 years.(Both boys had their first visits at…read more18months old and then every 6 months - they are now 3 and 6). I have always paid a significant portion of the bill (80% of the charges) at the time of their visits as the office is out of network with my dental insurance. I was happy to pay my portion as I felt that Dr Ramos and Tricia (the RDA that did a majority of their cleanings) treated my sons well and provided a fun environment to promote healthy oral habits and regular dental care. I was shocked when I went to pay after their visit this morning to be told that billing had added a note to collect payment in full. I was not provided with a receipt or any documentation of the charges. My credit card was simply charged for a VERY high amount considering the amount of time we spent in the office and the services rendered. I left the office very upset that I was not informed of the need to pay in full after years of paying 80% and that I was not provided with any documentation even though I asked for an emailed copy. I returned to the office to ask for the contact information for the billing department and was told they could not provide a number and someone would reach out to me!. About 20mins later I received a call from Brenda. She admitted that a mistake had been made and proceeded to start spitting out a bunch of numbers concerning charges and insurance payments. I told her to email me the ledger and that I would call back after a meeting. I called back an hour and a half later as I still had not received the ledger. She finally emailed it over. I vented my frustration about the way I was treated and the amount charged. I told her I wanted to be refunded the 20% I was charged that insurance would likely cover. She refused to refund my credit card even though it had only been a matter of hours since they had charged it and insisted she needed to issue and mail a physical check. She also laughed at my frustration and when I called her out for laughing she denied it and didn't offer an apology. I will NEVER take my kids back! I feel incredibly disrespected by the front office staff, billing and Brenda. Even if you are treated well by the front office staff, beware that they charge large fees for basic services - $131 for a kid's cleaning, which is only a quick polishing and flossing and $47 to apply fluoride varnish.

They said no I was completely paid up and that's why I wasn't receiving the blue envelope bills in the mail. Then nearly a year later they said I owe 300 which bothered me get this then they said I owed a 1000 because they had accidentally charged someone else's card for my payments. Mind you my child's braces were removed close to 4 years earlier than they said in the treatment plan. Never was I given an explanation why they were removed nearly 4 years early. You would think that the early removal would deduct from original plan price. Nope the $7000 plus price didn't change even my child on had a 4 year early removal. That makes zero sense. The price was based on the amount of check ups she was gonna have. Honestly the staff is so rude in the office and even ruder when I see them in the community. Why were my child's braces removed nearly 4 yrs early and why didn't that change the price and why should I be responsible for their billing mistakes. This place is referred thru medi-cal so we are poor and can't afford health insurance but somehow we have to foot the bill for only a year of service. Do not go here. They will be dishonest, make mistakes and treat you badly!

I came here because my coworker was really happy with her children's' teeth. I didn't get braces until college, but Dr. Kirk was really cool about making sure my teeth looked great without robbing me of my tuition. He gave me a bunch of options, and I chose to just get upper braces. I can't say getting them tightened was the most comfortable experience, but everyone in the office made the experience tolerable. Thanks you Dr. Kirk! I love my teeth now and get compliments pretty regularly - great confidence boost!
