The drive thru line can take a while sometimes but that's only because everything is made to order and it's delicious! So I don't mind the wait. Our go-to meals are the grilled chicken sandwich and the steak sandwich. I can't say much about the steak sandwich but I know my fiance loves it. The chicken sandwich is perfectly charred and really juicy. The french fries are so good, so crispy and they give you plenty. My kid really enjoys the chicken strips. They have a great crispy batter and are always juicy. They also sell them per piece so it's more cost effective with our 3 yo. No need to buy a 3rd meal, he just shares our fries. I'm only giving 4 of 5 stars because there's been a few times the order wasn't right. We v always get our sandwiches plain. A few times they came with EVERYTHING on them. Once when we brought the order inside from the drive thru to have it fixed, the employee told my fiance "Well that's what you ordered but I guess we'll fix it" even though the slip clearly said plain. This our latest discovery after moving to Anaheim a few weeks ago. You order at the counter, then wait for your food at your table. And wait. And wait. And wait. Yeah, it's not the fastest food--or the quietest restaurant--but the food is legit. I had a classic egg-and-cheese sandwich. My wife ordered the french toast combo. Went here today for lunch with my peoples because i was freaken hungry as hell and didn't care where we went....our first plan was to costco to eat pizza but on our way to costco we drove and saw this place and my cousin recommended it since he ate there before so went in and ordered my cheese burger and they ordered the grilled steak sandwich and turkey burger with an order of onion rings and fries. when the food came out my eyes were like this 0____0 the onion rings were HUGE!! Had very bad experience in this location first of all the place is awful. Furniture old and very uncomfortable... the worst thing was the service from the person that took our order at the Desk seems she doesn't like her job very rude.. we ordered 8 meals the food it was ok ... but overall the service very bad .... first time we go the and it will be the last one .... definitely won't recommend to anybody!! read more

Nothing fancy, just a good solid breakfast to hold ya down. My family and I were getting ready for a 6 hour drive back to the Bay Area on Sunday morning and came here for breakfast. I had the Steak & Eggs, cooked to perfection, and it came with hash browns and toast (or English Muffin if that's more your speed). The food was great and so filling, we didn't need to stop once during the drive and I didn't feel the need to eat again until dinner time. You order at the counter, get your number, and the servers will bring you your food. Prices are super cheap for the amount of food you get. I think steak & eggs were 8 bucks. Well, Panda can't say that is true but for the most part, Paul's Place is definitely, at the very least, a well rounded, good fast food place to eat. Boy, that was a mouthful. :-P One word: Polish Sausage Sandwich. Ooops, that's three words; sometimes Panda's don't count so well. If you like Polish Sausage, PP is excellent. Hamburgers: yummy! Approaching that of fine restaurant grade burgers. Gyro: not bad. And for a fast food place, it's actually pretty darn good. French Fries and Fried Zucchini: awesome Breakfast Burritos: very good. My family and I love going to Paul's for breakfast on the weekends. Great prices and large portions. I think they have the best pancakes I've ever tasted (one order can feed 2-3 people). PS - don't pass on the hashbrowns, they are delicious! If you are a breakfast burrito kind of person, they have those too. It will change your life! read more

I use 2 come here all the time when i worked at Knott's. Not so much anymore cuz its too far but I've been craving it. I always get the bacon burger with onion rings and wash it down with cherry pepsi. Bacon burger is the shiznit and the serving of onion rings is a lot and I never finish it so its good if you got someone to share with. I came here once for breakfast and places like this usually have good breakfast but it not true here. Maybe its just what i got but I'd stick to lunch and dinner. I have been going to Paul's one night a week for some time it is usually OK but not great but very handy on my way home from work . tonight I ordered a pastrami sandwich NO PICKLE I HATE PICKLES I know it sounds petty but I just hate them .I asked the girl and the order counter four times NO PICKLE And guess what??? You guessed it it came with a giant pickle soaking the entire underside of the sandwich .I understand that accidents happen but no attempt was made to correct this issue and when something was said to the cook that didn't read the order correctly he looked over and laughed . At the risk of sounding rude I feel that they didn't understand when I said no pickle . With this total lack of customer service I will never return. read more

So I was looking about for a nice fancy burger place after long day's work in the OC and our GPS guided us to Paul's Place. It had so many reviews and average 4 stars so I thought it was good. Okay, first impression, the place is very nice, not luxorious but better than average, the bathrooms were nice and clean, many booths, overall cozy but not cheap. I asked the cashier what she suggested for burgers and she just recommended the cheese burger, so I ordered that and some chilli fries. We picked a booth right next to the kitchen, only because the place was a little chilly and the kitchen seemed warm. I waited for almost 15 minutes, fries came but no burger. So I thought it was delayed. After another 15 minutes, I went to ask how much longer it would take. And then I was told I never ordered it. They asked me to pay again, but I had the receipt and showed them that I in fact, ordered a burger, but they showed their order ticket did not have it. It was strange but after she went to find the original cashier who helped us, I was then told "ok" (not even an apoligy). I waited another 10 minutes, assuming it would never come, I went to the counter again and finally someone made a burger (with dressing that I did NOT originally want). But the most important part was the taste... it was... okay. Nothing special, and a disappointment. The burger tasted no differet than a fast food burger, there was nothing special. Their chili cheese fries were more like molé fries. Someone went way heavy handed on the cinnamon. Their portions were small and not worth the money. Their hamburgers were decent and that is the only thing that makes them worth one star. Even their soda was flat and gross. The customer service severely lacks there. It is worse if they think you are anything other than Hispanic. I got a little less attitude when I started speaking Spanish (people really shouldn't judge a book by its cover). I'm basing this review on two things.. 1. Environment, really nice cool chill place. Brings you back to that nice diner. 2. The fried zucchini... Holy cow. WOW... Inexpensive but not cheap with ingredients! You get a huge box with these large pieces of zucchini that is freshly breaded right there and fried right there when ordered! Enjoyed a Sunday brunch here with family. We sat on the patio as the weather was nice. Good food and good coffee. You order inside but they bring the food out to your table. Been going here for years. It's your basic diner but the food is a little better than that. They have a variety of American fast food and Mexican fast food. My favorite thing here is the fried mushrooms. After they're fried, they sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over them. Dip them in ranch sauce and you have a little bite of heaven. The drive through can be horrifically slow, so don't waste your gas and go inside to order your food. read more

I was around the area and came here based on Yelp reviews. I was neither disappointed or excited about this place, it was very average. I ordered what I THINK was called the "Hungry Paul". It came with eggs, 3 pancakes and a choice of bacon or sausage. I thought it was kind of sad looking, because it was literally just a small pile of eggs and a couple pieces of meat. It tasted very normal, something I could have easily made at home. It was the pancakes that really gave this place 3 stars instead of 2. They were kind of firm on the outside, but suuuuuper fluffy on the inside. If I returned again, it'd be for the pancakes! The service was ok. You have to order at the front and pay first. When we got there, we didn't know what we wanted yet, so we let the cashier lady know, and then stepped off to the side to look at the menu further. The whole time I could just feel how annoyed she was at us! Way to make a first time customer feel uncomfortable. Anyway, I may or may not return. OK, I don't think the food at Paul's Place is outstanding, as in off the charts, tell all your friends, write home to mama, and email Guy Fieri. Most of the menu items vary from decent to very good. What they do really well is consistency. They have a large menu, yet every item is cooked properly to order. I usually get breakfast here. Not once has my over easy eggs been over cooked. Hash browns are always crisped properly, toast is buttered and toasted just right. A good choice of condiments and salsas are either on the table or at the counter. Service is prompt and prices are reasonable. They do their fries and onion rings right, burritos and tacos are on point. This is coming from a guy who has lived behind them for 21 years and visits at least twice a month. So, while nothing on the menu here stands out and blows you away, they use quality ingredients and cook everything the right way. Not a lot of places do that anymore, so 4 stars for Paul's Place! read more
