Ordered my food here and I was not disappointed. I ordered club sandwich and Denver omelette for take out, and they are delicious. If you like old fashioned diner and great breakfast and sandwiches nearby Buena Park, this is a good place.

130 pm, Sunday, December 14, 2025 I told myself only the Colossal Burger, that's it! The cashier was so friendly, she asked if I wanted to upgrade it to the combo. Ugh... It was so hard to choose but I stuck to my choice. Burger only. Burger delivered to the table in four minutes! Since I didn't order a combo, there was no plastic basket. Instead it came on a disposable plate. The burger was great as always. It was hot off the grill, juicy, soft bun, fresh shredded lettuce, thousand Island dressing, topped with pastrami. In five minutes, it was gone... So, this is a great time to come to the drive thru (after the lunch rush dies down). There wasn't a line when I walked to the door or when going back to the car after I ate. Plenty of parking spaces.

    Chili cheese fries. Meh

We tried a few things. The steak sandwich was too greasy and fatty and flavorless. The chili cheese fries were just average. I got the Avocado burger and wanted to send it back because I couldn't find the avocado. After the employee helped me search for it we found a tiny piece buried inside. Very unimpressed by this. If its an avocado burger you should see plenty of avocado. They should of gave me more to make up for it. Not planning on going back.

Lots of parking and lots of seating inside. Service is extremely fast and location is very convenient for those off the freeway. The food itself were OK, breakfast burrito and fried zucchinis were good, but that's a lot of flavor. Just "bland" and nothing too memorable.

I was craving a grilled cheese & some twister fries. Yes I can make a grilled cheese at home but something about a grilled cheese from here just hits the spot. It's simple, it's delicious and the staff is friendly. They have a very large menu. There is something for everyone. This is a place where you order at the counter and they bring you your meal to the table. There is plenty of seating. They also have a soda fountain with Pepsi products. The twisty fries from here are a must!!! one order is enough to share with two people.

Love coming here on Sundays for breakfast. Good quick service and casual. Eggs, sandwiches and french toast are good! They also have a drive -thru as well.

Steak made medium and eggs not burnt or overly oily hash browns crispy shout out to Sergio awesome cook !!

I need to give Sergio five star cook he did such an amazing job on my breakfast today. He definitely made my day. It might not mean much to someone to say hey you did a great job on my eggs or my steak but nowadays when things are so expensive and you purchase a meal you hope and cross your fingers they added that TLC so that you're not throwing your money away! Honestly, one of my pet peeves is cooks that cannot make eggs like if you don't know how to cook an egg. Good luck on your meal. I came in this morning. Everybody greeted me with a smile, cooks looked like they were in a great mood. I'm very understanding when people have their days you can't always be on, but it was nice and pleasant today. Again, shout out to the cook Sergio you're the best!!!

Side of fries, side of onion rings. Onion rings- super crispy.

Vegetarian review: - veggie burger was good, but not really because of the patty. They're using the rice and veggie one as opposed to Beyond or Impossible, but some people enjoy it, maybe? - fries: the only thing I might ask for is crispy, but they were good. - onion rings: great and plentiful. Super crunchy. - ranch dressing: thick and probably one of the best around.

Very friendly staff, food comes quickly, is always fresh and got. Wife had chicken sandwich & fries, good sized meal, very tasty. Also had the chicken strips with fried mushrooms. Mushrooms are very tasty. Price was very reasonable, portion sizes are very generous. Restaurant is very clean and comfortable, large menu selection. Highly recommend.

You can't go wrong at Paul's Place. Customer service is always kind and quickly moving and their extensive menu offers something for everyone!! We love the burgers, sandwiches, and salads!!! For lunch we may dine in at their cozy little patio or dining room but for dinner we usually grab it to go. Thank you Paul's Place.

My time on hold was 12 minutes

I love Paul's place! Zucchini fries are amazing so is the Gyro! However you get placed on hold for way too long. 12 min and no one ever picked up. I got there and they weren't even busy. Cypress on Cerritos is much more efficient

How much is ham and cheese omelette?

I stopped looking at prices. If I decide to go out to eat, then I know the price has increased! It should be on their web site?? I'll see if I can find it... I went back and tried to find the cost but the inside menu pic was from 2020, so we know…

How much is the broasted chicken plate?

    11.99

How much are the chili cheese fries?

I think they're around 5 bucks but it's a huge portion!!! More than enough for 2 people

When we left there were quite a few people that have come in after us. There's not a whole lot to the place. It looks like it used to be an old Taco Bell or something. The color scheme is blue and white with cute little signs and pictures on the wall. It's got some booths and tables, and they still have up the social distancing dividers from The pandemic. There's also covered patio seating out front. There our menu screens that span above the entire counter with everything from Mexican food to breakfasts to burgers. They have a soda machine and also a machine with some aguas frescas. There is something here for everybody! We ordered a Fat Boy Burger, a quarter pound burger meal with fries, and a ground beef taco. I love ground beef tacos so I'll always order one if there's one on the menu just to try it. The burgers were good - - topped with cheese, lettuce, onion, and thousand Island dressing. The ground beef taco tasted very much like a Del Taco taco. The fries are those chunkier fries. All in all, the food was good. Someone came in after us and ordered the fried chicken meal and it looked so good, and another person ordered a breakfast that also looked pretty good. It's a cute place and I do like to support local small business. I may be back here.

The fry's were ok. The fountain drinks, very messy and not clean Staff: very welcoming and helpful, fast service. I risked it and tried this place out of no recommendation other than stopping by and I don't think I will Be back. Maybe some of their other items are good but I will pass on this place. Great staff though. I have moved this up to 3 stars solely because the response to my feed back was well received and that alone speaks highly of making an attempt to help their restaurant to be better. The goal is not to just criticize or review for the sake of reviewing but to actually help businesses and which comes full circle both for customers and business owners. Thanks to the reply I may give it another shot for the burgers if I am in the area and in hungry!

The tables were clean, with a single ketchup bottle on each, but no salt or pepper in sight, which suggested breakfast might not be their focus. I ordered an off-menu biscuits and gravy plate. It arrived all on one plate (personally, B&G deserves its own). There was plenty of bacon, and the eggs were cooked perfectly over hard, just as requested. Unfortunately, the gravy was clearly not house-made like a mix or canned product. Good gravy is inexpensive and easy to make from scratch, especially when you already have access to rendered fat. The biscuit underneath also didn't seem house-made; it resembled an underdone, flattened Pillsbury-style biscuit. The dish could have used salt and pepper, but none was available. At over $18 including tax and credit card fees, plus needing to ask for a key attached to a stick just to use the restroom, the experience didn't justify the price. It's not surprising breakfast isn't busy here. There are still places making biscuits and gravy from scratch at a lower price--see my other reviews for better options

The menu has changed, several of our favorites are gone, and the food made it seem like there may also be a new chef. My burger was so overcooked that I had to send it back. My husband's tortilla soup tasted like a pureed mess, and the salad he ordered with Greek crème dressing was absolutely drenched in dressing and was overwhelming. I'd never been there before, so this review is all about first impressions. As we approached, the sign caught my attention: "Under New Ownership." Outside, an employee sat scrolling on his phone. It was a quiet Sunday around 3 PM, and we were the only patrons in sight. Checking Yelp beforehand had been a bit of a letdown, as their menu featured items they no longer offer. No links were available either. We ordered half a pound of pulled pork, half a pound of brisket, and four pieces of cornbread--all priced reasonably. Their tap selection turned out to be decent. The Cali Squeeze Blood Orange was a standout, and they also seemed to carry Firestone Walker products, including 805. The staff were friendly and responsive, which was refreshing. While the brisket had cooled by the time we got home, it was still tender and flavorful--just like the pulled pork. The real surprise? The chimichurri that accompanied the brisket--an unexpected and delightful touch. Overall, I'd rate the experience as average. While it's clear they've got potential, a bit more effort could turn Wholly Smokes into a go-to spot. Leaning in on those small details would really elevate the experience.
