Came back to give this place a chance again and nothing has changed... same welcome from the same young people not a warm welcome... sad.. and again no soups.... What happened to the soups being made all the time? If there an ingredient shortage or the employees being lazy? We miss the older lady welcoming us with her genuine welcome and happy smile I guess she no longer works there anymore because everytime we've come back she's not there... we will drive up to Johnny Jrs and give them our business... with the cold weather you'd think this place would stick to serving their soups but NOPE. read more

Their salads have gone up by $6 just in the last year alone, always leaving the salad dressing/pickles/avocados out of the order, rude customer service, manager lies about refunds or free items next time you come in after they leave out half of your items in orders multiple times. read more

I haven't eaten at the diner itself, but my co-workers frequent this place pretty often and on occasion they've picked up lunch for us at the office. Their menu consists of your typical diner food such as burgers and sandwiches, as well as some salads and Mexican food. They don't show any prices on their online menu which is a little bothersome, but most everything is reasonably priced. The portions are large, so when we ordered from here most recently, I had a Grilled Cheese off of the kid's menu. For about $6, the meal comes with a sandwich, a lot of French fries, an Oreo cookie and a small drink. It's a good amount of food for the price- just don't make any modifications. I added bacon and tomato to my grilled cheese and it was an extra $3. I thought that was a bit much for a kid's add-on. Overall, their food was good and the portions were generous in true diner fashion. If I eat here again, I'll have to check out their zucchini fries which I hear are some of the best. read more

Warning! This place gets crowded at lunch (11AM-2PM) sometimes. Now the best part - their swiss mushroom burgers are the best I ever had after over a decade of dining at different burger restaurants. Every burger I have, always gets compared to the swiss mushroom here. Despite being in a remote part of town, it is worth every ounce of gas for the detour. read more

Had an appoint around the corner and got up there early. Needed breakfast and. To get out of my car for bit. I had the bacon and eggs with sourdough. Food was diner quality and I enjoyed it. Coffee was on point. They had salsa which was a nice treat vs the Tabasco on the table. Only real knock was I ordered over easy and the eggs were a little bit overdone but not anything to not give them a great review. read more

The actual stars come from a somewhat friendly staff.. Very disappointed at the quality off food .. Maybe if the combo was not 15$ I wouldn't expect a patty that was NOT A FROZEN SISCO PATTY ... Also the grill needs to be cleaned , the burnt char on the burger was from an in clean grill and tasted like a burnt tough shoe .. Troys down the street serves the same combo same food distributer almost identical but for 1/2 the price.. Very over priced... I can also go less then a mile away for a fresh hand made burger patty FOR THE SAME PRICE ... Like eating a Costco frozen patty ... If you are going to charge premium prices maybe you shouldn't serve a frozen patty ( JUST A THOUGHT) . Bathroom and booths very unclean ... Ive ordered chiche T fried steak and eggs at night and substitute onion rings for 1.99 up charge several times but this big owner lady says not possible and would loose a customer that lives next door over this. Came here with my mom after a long day at the DMV. First time here but my mom seems to be a returning customer since the cashier knew my moms order already I got a breakfast burrito and I can definitely say it's the best burrito I've ever had. Not too oily, not breaking apart as soon as you bite into it. The feeling of the restaurant was calming and inviting. Seems old fashioned and I loved it. I had no pictures because I didn't have a chance too... the food was already inviting itself into my mouth. I would definitely bring my family here the next time I'm in the area. Great diner food. Good sized portions. Go here regularly and have not been disappointed with anything I've eaten. If we don't know what we feel like we normally end up here. All of their fried sides can be substituted for the regular fries in the combo. They are all great. Some have an upcharge which is fine with me. read more

Came here Sunday for lunch with 2 kids, ordered pancakes for the kids and was told food would take 45 mins, we ordered and sat down was called an hour later, only to be told that they ran out pancakes, terrible fortune when you have a 2 year old have waited for the pancakes. What made it worse was that the manager was very unpleasant to deal with, then she said the owner Paul is there who was next to her stocking a fridge, he turned over and said give them money back, then went back to his business. How does a diner run out of pancakes in the midday on a Sunday!? Very poor experience here made worse by rude owner and staff. Not coming to Paul's anymore. read more

Breakfast Burritos have really gone downhill, they used to be huge and delicious with chunks of sausage and bacon, now they have slivers of meat and burritos are anemic, they are kids size, very disappointing and will not be back. Sad because this place used to be legit. read more

A friend and I had our first experience at Paul's Place yesterday, and we were very impressed. The food that we had was delicious, and the prices were more than competitive. The menu, with prices, is on the wall over the ordering location, and everything is do-it-yourself. No servers of any type. I would prefer to receive a printed menu that I could peruse while sitting at my table/booth. However, if the lack of servers helps to keep prices down, I am all for it and this preference will not stop me from patronizing this restaurant in the future! As I said, the food was delicious, the quantity of food was beyond adequate, prices were very reasonable, and the staff members were very pleasant. Surely able to carnivores, vegetarians, and those in between. Burgers, tacos, broasted chicken, gyros, grilled cheeses, salads. Lots of stuff. Order at the counter, take a number and wait. The chicken gyro is a chargrilled breast, sliced and stuffed into a warm pita, cuddled up to red onions and tomatoes. I always kick the tomatoes outta my bed. A side of cucumberly sauce is on the side, perfect for a little dipping. This is the only thing I eat at any PP. The fish n chips is huge. Salad, 3 hunks of fish, some garlic bread, onion rings and fries. Share the fries!! There is no way one person can finish that many fries. And if you do, well....that's not good for you. Shout out to Angel for her amazing service!! She was the best thing about this place along with the food. She made my step dads birthday breakfast experience better by remembering the small things and by being so great! She gave us our coffees and was very kind about it. The food was great! I had french toast and it was made deliciously. Some places make it kind of weird but i loved it here, and the hash browns were delicious too It would be 5 stars, but we had two people there who were very rude to my family, and when my sister asked them to stop being rude, the woman talked back to her saying my dad was rude first. As someone who worked in customer service, I understand that annoying customers can test our patience, but we should never snap at customers or be rude to them. read more

They always produce a great, large, still warm to go meal. We order here all the time highly recommend.

So let me tell you about this place. I've always known it was there. Never tried it until about a week ago. Boy have I been missing out. Everything I've had has been incredible. The regular cheeseburger is great. The bacon cheddar burger was amazing. An order of fries must be for a whole family. But this morning I got breakfast tacos that were one of the best things I've ever eaten. I got 1 bacon and 1 potato. The picture is just the potato. It wasn't until after I demolished the bacon one that I realized how good they were. They are huge too. If I finish a second one I might pass out. I went here with my mother on 3/10/23 and let me just say the service was terrible! We tried to order a chicken salad and we had to repeat ourselves multiple times to an extent. And they said they couldn't give us garlic bread instead of pita bread which my mother doesn't like, and we've been replacing garlic bread instead of pita bread for 5+ years now. Pauls Place has the best Onion Rings! The parking and location is terrible but it's definitely worth the hassle. I come here with my dad and we always order the same thing. A club sandwich with onions instead of tomato and add avocado on sourdough toast. The avocado is always green never brown, the sourdough is always perfectly toasted and we love our spicy yellow peppers. Of course we always have our order of onion rings. We truly wish you would open a location in either Placentia or Yorba Linda. Even Fullerton would be nice. The staff at your location are very friendly, even on busy times. read more

Really, this is just a burger place, but it is the nicest, cleanest, and well decorated burger place around. When you walk in, you would almost expect full table service. Denny's could learn or thing or two from Paul's Place. The menu is your basic burger, fried food, some basic breakfast items, and other items you would find at a place with a grill. The food we had was excellent and the portion size worth the price. There's no drive-thru, which is OK with me! That just means they focus on the customers sitting in the dining room. Unfortunately this place has gone down the drain with their customer service. I believe it's the little things that make the biggest difference. They used to bring the food to the table if you're dining in. They converted to disposable plates when dining in. Their counter people, lack customer service, they treat it like a drive-through instead of personal face to face transaction. When calling in the order they put you on hold for a long period of time like they are lacking employees but go to pick up the food and the staff is hanging out. read more
