me and my boyfriend LOVE this place. one of our favorite boba spot and its soooo underrated. our go to are always their tieguanyin milk tea and jasmine milk tea. i miss their old packaging a lot better tho..:( it used to be alot sturdier and cuter haha. we also miss their old location. but regardless we are very grateful that they're still open!

They are located in the same plaza as Brodard, Vox Kitchen, Rol Handbar, etc. in Fountain Valley. This location is open later than the other Airoma. They use ceremonial matcha which makes a huge difference. I ordered the strawberry matcha latte (74% sweet) after trying one previously in LA. I paid and waited for my order to be ready. After a few minutes, I received my order. I shook it up and tried it. Delicious! Even better than I remembered. My husband who doesn't usually enjoy matcha, tried it and liked it. He does not dig the earthy taste, but this drink changed his perspective. Airoma made my husband a believer in matcha. We do not usually go out too often for matcha, but when I'm in the mood next, this place will be a must visit. I'll have to try their egg coffee in the future too.

We tried their OG egg vietnamese coffee and pandan matcha (no changes) to see how sweet they are. Their vietnamese coffee was strong and good but did not notice anything unique about it. The pandan matcha had a lovely note of vanilla from the pandan. It was a little too sweet for me, would recommend 75% or 50%. The nice thing is you can request a shot of coffee for free. No milk subs but oat milk is used for the matcha drinks.

AAZA is BACK!! AAZA…read moreand I am ultra excited! They are celebrating this weekend with a Grand Opening Special May 17-18 BOGO FREE All Drinks . Their fresh fruit tea and blends are spectacular. Here are some of their amazing must order fruit drinks! Grapefruit Summer Coconut Jackfruit Pandan Mango Coco Pomelo Passion Fruit Orange Avocado Coco Jackfruit I was a huge fan when they opened in Downey. The fruit drinks are still highly addictive! It's really like drinking fruit in a cup. The service is the best to their abilities and staffing. The Teahouse is inside of a spacious banh mi shop. I love the mural to take cute photos. Come and check out this weekend for BOGO FREE DRINKS!

A traumatic experience…read more The shop is a banh mi place that also sells boba drinks called 'Aaza'. The menu makes it seem like they have a large range of drinks, but they actually only have a couple in each category. My sister and I were disappointed to see that they didn't have any flavored teas, which is what we always get. * Mango Coco Pomelo: 8/10 - real mango fruit * Passion Fruit Orange: 7/10 - couldn't taste the passionfruit flavor so mostly orange * Boba: 8/10 - soft and chewy While my sister was waiting in line to order the drinks, my mom needed to use the restroom really badly. However, in order to use it at all, we needed a receipt to prove that we were customers. We're completely fine with that, but there were about 10 people in front of us and the line was not moving at all. We pointed to my sister who was waiting in line and promised to show them our receipt afterwards, but they still wouldn't let my mom use the restroom. How ridiculous. Another thing we found annoying was how they couldn't adjust the drinks. We just didn't want them to add any garnishes or fruit slices to the drink, but they refused. We found it weird considering it would actually SAVE THEM MONEY not having to add it to our drinks, but okay. The layout of the shop itself was also really unusual. Although they have a beautiful mural on the wall, they only had a couple of normal tables and chairs on the right side while the rest of the place was scattered with cheap, plastic, short chairs. I think the goal was to make the customers feel like they were in Vietnam, but it was just uncomfortable. They're definitely way too low for the older adults and I have no idea how anyone wearing a dress would be able to sit down. Considering how easily you can kick the chairs and the 'tables' were just wooden boards on top of the plastic chairs, it's a lawsuit waiting to happen. After waiting for what felt like forever to order, we also had to wait an additional 15 minutes for our drinks. When they finally came, it was only 1 and we had to wait for them to finish the other drink. When it finally came out, they forgot to add the boba that we paid for so we had to wait an additional couple of minutes. We interacted with 3 workers during our visit there and 2/3 of them were rude. They looked like the owners since they weren't wearing the uniforms and hats that the other workers were wearing. I understand that they just opened, but a couple of things to keep in mind when coming to the shop: - You need the receipt in order to use the restroom - Adjustments cannot be made to your drink whatsoever - Seating is very uncomfortable - Waited in line for 20 minutes to order and 15 minutes to pick up our drinks - Owners were rude Don't think we'll be coming back.

When they looked at us and saw the expressions of our faces they laughed and said "it wasn't us. We swear. It smelled like that when we got here." The whole place smelled like mildew and a lot of bleach/cleaning products. Maybe they recently disinfected the store, but it was not safe to inhale that. My friend got a headache and had to step outside for fresh air. When our drinks were called, we had to breathe through our jacket sleeves to go back inside to pick it up. We didn't finish the drinks though. After a couple sips, we weren't sure if it would be safe to keep drinking it.

We ordered the combo platter with both the crispy pork and grilled beef to get the best of both worlds and we were in heaven. We loved both, but were so impressed by the crisp of the pork that we'll probably just do an entire tray of the pork next time. $22 for the giant portion was a steal -- definitely thought we would have leftovers, but ended up crushing the entire thing lol. We also ordered a pork belly banh mi and chamango which were both delicious. I'm already dreaming about coming back!

So many restaurants have this name GHIEN. I wonder if it's the same owner, I love the other ones, all 4 to 5 stars. I ordered their #1 specialty, it was pretty much 1 of 2 items they had and the other items were varieties of the same thing. The crispy pork was anything but crispy, the skin was hard as a rock, no HARD AS STAINLESS STEEL, I was terrified it had broken my new expensive crowns, I rush to look in the mirror, lucky me they were OK.The "heo quay" was so bland, I heated it in the oven so a few pieces were semi crispy to chew on but it was so so fatty, my husband could not eat it so it was a waste of money. Warning: if you cannot eat the strong taste (not P.C to say what I really think) shrimp paste sauce, make sure they don't give it to you and ask for a 2nd fish sauce instead. The Bo La Lot was also bland but it was edible. I have no idea why the rating was high, my daughter had warned me against watching social medias commercials on restaurants so far 8 out of 10 were exaggeration! LOL!

Nearby a fav viet comfort food place (Hien Thành) I frequent, Da Viên stood. I had seen it before but was usually too full to stop by. Well today was the day and they did not disappoint. I told the cashier it was my first time there so I needed guidance on recommendations. I knew I wanted a power punch yet flavorful coffee. She suggested the egg cream or ube cream and I was also eyeing their signature marble drip but she said it was lighter bc there was more milk. She asked if I wanted a sampling, uh YES!! She gave me 2 clean separate spoons so I could savor and discern my selection. The space is thoughtfully curated, modern and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful, service great! It was packed so immediately I knew it had to be good. And the customers were right, the ube cream coffee was magnificent. Suffice to say, I'm coming back!!

Located next to AR market, it is a large interior with lots of lighting due to glass walls for half the store. I was a bit weary of da vien considering I couldn't sleep after trying their egg coffee at their bolsa location (I know Vietnamese coffee is famous for their caffeine that sneaks up on you due to the sweetness of their coffee (being Vietnamese myself) but not at this level). However, the manager or owner of the bolsa location did reach out to me to make it right after my critique. Going here is a night and day experience! Let me tell you of the tastiest coffee that rivals Starbucks... and I still got ample sleep! I got their marble drip coffee. I ordered mine with "50% sweetness and less caffeine." The moment it flowed through the straw and hit my tongue, it was the smoothest, creamiest most tasty coffee I ever had. Perfect amount of sweetness and a kick of caffeine, I was so amazed!! Their customer service here is nice and polite at the counter but that's pretty much it. They have a touch screen kiosk to also order on the side. When I came, there were 4 people ahead of me but the wait time wasn't that long thanks to the above things. I would definitely come here again. I would never guess to give a Vietnamese coffee establishment the highest rating on yelp considering my caffeine sensitivity but this is it!
