My MacBook Pro stopped booting up so I took it in to PC Repair to get it fixed up. They ran diagnostics on it and got back to me the very next day to let me know it needed a new hard drive. I was concerned this might be the issue and their price was fair so I had them make the repair. It only took a couple of days and my computer was back up and running! After getting it back and spending some time on it, it began to restart on me unexpectedly. This proved to be rather problematic especially when in the middle of an unsaved project. So I took it back over and let PC Repair know of the issue. They kept it for a few days and let me know the ram was the issue so they installed it for me at no additional charge. Unfortunately, the issue persists and I have learned to save work every few minutes. Overall I'm happy to have my computer useful once again at a price far less than the cost of buying a new one, even though it restarts on me once every half hour. read more

Not the best communication between staff. I brought my laptop in because the hinge and screen were cracked. I let them know I wanted the whole lid and screen replaced. I left it there and they got back to me within the day with a quote of 400$, which I expected, so I said okay, let's do it. They told me it would be like a week to order the parts and for them to do the repairs. I get a call a day later saying the computer is ready. I thought was odd because of their previous time estimate. So I drive back down and I go in to find everything exactly the way I left it, and they tell me exactly what already knew about /why/ is was broken, saying it'd be 50$ for the diagnostic. I reiterated that I wanted the whole thing replaced, like I had asked in the beginning, and they apologized for the miscommunication. They thought I had said it was too much and just wanted the computer put back together as is. They said they would order the parts and it would take about a week, same estimate of 400$, and I say okay. No call after one week, and when I call to check in, they tell me that the parts hadn't been ordered yet. I ask why they hadn't ordered them or why my clarification had not been corrected, but didn't get much of an answer. They apologized and said they would order the parts right away, but after a week and a half of waiting and the feeling that I would call again in a week with the same results, I just paid for the diagnostic and took my still busted computer back. I shouldn't have even paid for a "diagnostic" that told me exactly what I already knew, but I was so over it, I just wanted to get my stuff and leave. I'm sure they do a great job on the actual repairs, but their professionalism suffers due to the lack of interoffice communication. Won't be coming back. read more

My expectations were exceedingly surpassed with the service and technical results that I received from Rian at PC Repair Center. I came in with an external hard drive from which I could no longer access the data it contained. All my files were corrupted and totally disabled when attempting to open them. These were our family memories of over 15 years. Priceless photos and videos that could never be replaced if lost. For a couple of weeks Rian kept me informed via text, email and phone calls about the painstaking process of having to retrieve, repair and successfully reopen every single file on the drive. There were times when it seemed none could be saved, but Rian's knowledge perseverance and hard work made it possible for all to have a happy outcome. I'm just glad I picked this place from my choice of others in the area. Not only did I have a great experience, but the cost was also unbeatable giving that what was at stake were priceless family memories. I should have known better than to let my daughter use my phone as a Just Dance remote, but she looked so cute with her jerky, off beat dance interpretation of The Final Countdown that I let her. With every forceful point of her hand to our tile I told myself to quit being so uptight...it's just a phone. And I had basically body slammed it to the ground myself with nary a scratch. Then, I guess her hands got sweaty. When it hit the ground I figured it would be like every other time I had pretty much torpedoed it into the asphalt. But nope...totally shattered. My daughter- also totally shattered. Sure her life was over, after all the conditioning from her parents that she could not afford to replace a broken iPad or phone so please be more careful! Poor thing. I held her and assured her it was no big deal, it could be fixed! But guys, it was bad. I didn't know if it could really be fixed. Thanks to these guys, I was able to have my screen replaced in an hour (less, actually) and it was less costly than other competitors. They were really nice to me and didn't try to sell me anything else...like maybe a gnarly industrial phone case or screen protector or warranty or whatever else. PC Repair replaced the screen on my iPhone 6S Plus and I couldn't be happier with our experience. I sent out a few messages to get quotes via Yelp and the owner Sami responded right away. They apparently practice zero data security. Do not give them anything that has your personal information stored on it, or anything else you wouldn't want other people to have. I gave them my dead hard drive to try to recover the data, along with a working hard drive for them to potentially transfer the data to. They couldn't recover my data but when I checked the working drive later, I saw they had copied a folder from their own PC on to it, which contained all the files on their desktop, including the contents of another client's entire hard drive. So not only do they not know how to use the data recovery software, they just leave previous client's data sitting around on the desktops of the computers, free for all their employees to see and apparently they hand it out to other clients too. read more

Brought my laptop in and was told a diagnostic was going to take 2-3 days. A week went by before I called them and asked how it was coming along and they said they had no information on how far along it was and they'd call me back later in the day when they found out. I got a call the next day saying what was wrong and asking if I wanted it fixed. I said yes and they said it may take up to five days depending on how quickly the parts came in. Another week passes with no calls and I call them again to ask if there's any progress and again they say they don't know at this time. First off I would like to thank the staff quick friendly and did not try to push anything on me. I called Apple about my battery that had expanded and pushed my mouse pad up. When I got my iPad back, the home button was a little deep, but Sammy told me he would be on the lookout for a new screen set with the home button included, and would replace it for free. My fiance dropped his laptop off for repair on Friday. He was quoted $130 but it ended up only being $62, they said it should be done by Sunday. Not only did they get it done the very next day, they were honest. That is the biggest and hardest thing to find for computer repair. I was very happy with the service at this place. My HP's hard disk stopped working and they were able to save all of my pictures and documents. I don't know anything about computers and went in with boards from the computer that I thought might be the hard drive disk to be replaced. I was shown what the hard drive looked like, he told me the price would be cheaper than he originally quoted after he saw the computer and was very knowledgeable. He told me what the screen said before I finished telling him. He made the computer faster (free of charge) and even though I brought the computer to him just before they closed, it was ready for me when I got out of work at 4:00 the following day! I seriously busted up the screen on my iPhone 5. Originally I stopped in here to get a quote a couple of weeks back, and their quote was about the same as everywhere else. I finally went back in today to see about getting the screen replaced, and they had a screen for a white phone (mine is black). Since it wasn't the same color they gave me a break on the price (woohoo!!!!), and they had my phone all fixed and ready to go in 1.5 hours. They were super nice and polite every time I went in. Jorge at Pc Repair Center did a really great job with my computer. I dropped it off on the same day that my computer crashed. I told them that I needed my computer right away because of my school projects were due on the same week and also it was finals week (school). I needed all the files in my computer. They definitely understood the situation and got to it as fast as they can. I got a call the next day afternoon to pick up my computer (couple hours before my class starts), just in time to get all my files and save it to my disk. PC Repair Center is a life saver. After a terrible experience with a local shop in Carlsbad (that's what you get for working with a rookie, sometimes anyway) with my laptop. I needed a genuine business and genuine repair shop. Sammy not only took care of my laptop (brand new hard drive needed), but helped in a rather unpleasant disagreement with the previous shop owner. Sammy understands the importance of customer service. My laptop has fallen prey to little toddler hands more than once. This time, I was unable to get a couple of the keys on myself and one of the key connectors were broken and they bent some of the tabs. I looked at a few places but it said it would take a day or 2 and cost $50. Though I expected it to be $35 here, at least same day service made it more reasonable. Well, not only did they take me as an immediate walk, fix it while I waited in the car with my 3 boys and to my surprise walk it out to me with smiling friendly service, they also did it for free. I had an iPad I had dropped and cracked the screen and damaged the frame. Nice guys in the shop, but very casual about business. No estimate paper work or claim stubs which was weird. They were able to fix it though it took longer than they thought -their communication was great and kept me in the loop the whole time.
