This is my go-to pad see eiw spot near campus! I love the food and the portions are amazing! The lady waitress is amazing and so nice, other guy waiter was weird about a valid coupon we had. Other than that very yummy!

This place is interesting! I believe it's more of a to go place since every time I've been im the only one actually sitting in and eating. One of the few times I've been their WiFi went down and I couldn't pay with card because their reader was down. Mind you I waited nearly an hour for it to be back up and for the first 10min the waitress kept telling me my card was declining and I had to explain to her that the card reader was saying there was no connection. Other than that food has been decent and they open late which is great considering they're closed to campus. The interior seems very outdated but I don't think that's a big problem for me. I will say I think the restaurant has changed its name to Thai Chapin.

Visiting from California to Austin and found this GEM of Thai food in the Area of Guadalupe. Food is amazing! Portions are generous and the place is extremely clean. Staff is very attentive and their prices are very affordable. I want to give this place a 5 stars! Definitely will recommend that you try this place!

I ordered Uber Eats delivery from PD Thai this weekend and was pleasantly surprised! I got the chicken pad Thai and the shrimp spring roles, and my boyfriend ordered the panang. Everything was really tasty, and it arrived quickly! Service was great overall. Lots of options on the menu, so I hope to repeat order soon. I've got my eye on a few more dishes I want to try!

We got food from here because none of us wanted to cook. My go to dish for Thai food is drunken noodles otherwise known as pad kee mao. I really liked how they had tomatoes and green beans in their dish and I also like that they didn't skimp out on the tofu. I did pay to add both extra tofu and veggies but I was happy with my meal. The veggies were still crispy and had a good crunch! We also got the edamame which honestly was a little overcooked but maybe it was just that day. I would suggest to not get the edamame but instead to stick to their entrees. I would definitely recommend this place to others and will go again to try other dishes! I do want to point out that secretly a tiny part of me believes that the store is actually called 'Pad Thai' and that maybe the 'A' fell off and they changed the name to 'P D Thai' because it's easier than fixing the sign? Idk it's just a theory but it seemed that way when I saw the sign outside!

Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening, we were seated right away and about half the tables were open throughout our meal. It seems like more of their business is takeout, so I wouldn't worry about getting a table even on weekend evenings. The service was friendly, though a bit on the slower side, understandable given they had a lot of takeout orders going at the same time. I had the pad gra prao for my meal which was solid. Nothing to write home about, but was a good amount of food for the price. The star of my experience was the peanut juice. Weird drinks usually catch my eye on a menu and this was right up my alley. Much more of a peanut milk, it's blended up peanuts (there are some chunks at the bottom) in milk with cane sugar. It didn't taste overly sweet, if you're a peanut person this is a must try. Overall, it's a solid spot and worth trying for the peanut juice alone. There are stronger Thai options in the area, but if you find yourself in a situation like we were in, where Nori had too long a wait time and we didn't want to spend too much effort thinking of an alternative, this is a reasonable option right next door

not a bad spot! open late and relatively good prices. we got chicken pad see ew and it was enough for two people to share. thai tea was a bit watered down but not too sweet.

Pad Thai is pretty standard. It's what you would expect! There's no oddities, but I would love a bit more chicken and seasoning throughout. The shrimp egg rolls were warm, crispy, and decent as well. As for price, this place will not break the bank. Give it a try! Cheers

    Basil Fried Rice with Chicken

We came here for a late night dinner and had a great time. We were the only ones there, but service was incredible. They checked up on us multiple times to make sure everything was good. The food came really fast, and the prices are very reasonable. Basil Fried Rice with Chicken: We got level 2 spiciness, and it had the perfect amount of kick for me. I really enjoyed this dish. The cucumber on the side was fresh and crunchy. Pad Thai with Beef: The sauce was really flavorful (on the sweet side). We also got level 2 spiciness for this dish. However, the beef was a bit dry, so I would recommend trying a different meat with it.

I ate here years ago and wasn't impressed, but I've been ordering takeout recently, and it's been excellent! I decided to give dining in another try, and I'm glad I did. While the restaurant has a bit of a liminal space vibe, the food has been consistently delicious. The curry, pad see ew, and spring rolls are standout dishes. If you tried this place in the past and weren't thrilled, I highly recommend giving it another chance--you won't be disappointed!

The restaurant itself has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a bar. It seems like a nice place to have a meal. As for the food, we ordered: Pad thai with chicken, mild spice - unfortunately this was a bit dry for me, though the taste was good. Pad see ew with chicken - I liked their version and would probably get it again. Pad woon sen with pork - typically my favorite noodle dish and I think they did a good job. Garden roll - good but not as packed as others I've had, and at a higher price point. Pineapple fried rice with pork - I liked this but was a bit on the oily side. Tom kha soup - I thought this was very good and had a decent amount of chicken and mushrooms Overall I liked everything but some items I felt I had better versions of elsewhere. It's also on the pricier side. Still, if in central Austin I think it's a solid choice for Thai food.

I've noticed while being in Texas, places that cater to the ethnicity that the food is for are given a lover rating then if the food was white washed. Ex: I've gone to a few Mexican restaurants and the food wasn't spicy and was missing a lot of flavor. All the ratings were great for the restaurants even though clearly it was missing a lot of key ingredients. It paired well with the noodles. * khảo soi: 3/5 I watched a documentary about this dish and was so excited to see it was available at Kiin Di! When we first received the dish, it was super salty so we advised our waitress we couldn't eat it because it was overly salty. She was very kind and took it back. She asked us if we would like to replace that dish. We asked for pad Thai. Later she brought out the Kháo soi redone and said it was on the house and ask for our feedback. She apologize and informed us the sauce had reduced down too low and that is why it was salty. She asked us to try it and let her know. It was less salty but the more we ate the more it got salter. It was definitely creamier and less salty but it's still salty. Not overwhelming salt like the first but ate salty with each bit. We really appreciate her being so open and appreciative for feedback. Although the dish was too salty for our preference... we appreciate the effort and courtesy to make it right. That shows an adaptive and hard working business that values feedback and that is a marksmanship of a business will thrive with lifetime customers. * 2 Thai teas : 3/5 We had ask for a lot of Thai Tea and less milk but the Thai tea was still very milky. We wish the Thai Tea was bolder and stronger in flavor. * chicken wings with spicy tamarind sauce: 5/5 highly recommended dish! There is not many places in Austin that has this spicy tamarind chicken wing that I can find. A rare dish and an outstanding one! Salty Sour Sweet Mild Spicy Unami AND CRAVEABLE! Chicken was juicy and cripsy on the outside despite being toss in the sauce. We devoured the 5 wings and regretted we finished it all because we wanted more! These delicious wings are going to definitely be on my mind just thinking of it now is making my mouth water..... so good! !! If you love tamarind it's a must try! * mussels: 1/5: we were wondering why the mussels didn't have any Yelp pictures for Kiin Di but we may have found out why. The mussels are presented beautifully. The presentation was great and we were excited to dig in. Unfortunately the mussel ran very salty and the mussels were very very tiny. The shell was average size but I think the mussels were overly cooked. The mussels absorb the salty sauce so we couldn't eat many. We felt bad for sending back one dish so we didn't want to send back a second dish again. * tofu pad Thai: 5/5 I never thought I would ever say this because I Love 1618 Asian Fusion cripsy pad Thai so much that no other pad Thai had ever compared to theirs... but Kiin Di pad Thai definitely rank the best regular pad Thai I had (without the cripsy). The favors were so well balanced of salty , mild spicy , sour. The noodles were chewy and springy! I love the texture and this dish is so so craveable too! We got tofu but next time we will get the chicken. The tofu ran a bit sour thus why we will get chicken next time. The flavors explode in your mouth. Like wow! Highly recommend this dish! It wasn't spicy for all the non spicy eaters. Note if there's any dish can't eat spicy, you can let your waitress know and they can adjust the spicy level for you. The staff is very attentive. Do I recommend this place? Absolutely! The best pad Thai in Austin. We can't wait to come back to get the tamarind wings and pad Thai along with trying their other dishes. There is free parking on Sundays. We went on Sunday at 12:30 pm and were seated but this restaurant filled up pretty fast after we were seated. Service is 5 stars.
