I am indeed a fan! Have been to this location and not only are the sliders amazing, the fries are really great too! My favorite sliders are (not in order of importance because they are all fab) the Sellwood, Broadway, Freemont and Morrison. Damn...now my mouth is watering. Hold on a sec while I wipe away the drool. My husband really likes the Tillikum and I have had a bite of one (just a bite because he wouldn't share more than that) and it was really good too! The last time we went our friend had the Caesar salad with chicken and he raved about it. I have to say something about the service. The same guy has helped us the last two times and he has a fabulous personality. I feel bad now that I didn't take note of his name...next time. He definitely does not suffer from what I call "bored Portland service." He is super friendly and patient while I stand and try to make a decision on what I am going to eat. Every time I think I know what I want and then invariably change my mind. Shhhh...don't judge. I love this location too because it's in a cute little house with plenty of seating outside! I want to state that the food is a 5/5 easily. Delicious and hot. Staff is friendly enough. My biggest issues: 1. The space is both cold in the winter and loud (no matter the season). The house is old, so I get that it may be harder to heat. But the loudness isn't even about the number of people present. It's the loud music pumping through the speakers at all times during the day. I can't have a lunch meeting here or even go out for a meal with a friend and have a conversation. It's obnoxiously loud. 2. I don't understand why there's a tipping option and why it starts at 18%. You stand in line to order. You buss your own table. You get your own water. Want condiments or a to-go box? You have to stand back in line. I often ask for a washcloth to wipe down the table myself (often times they just go and politely do it). The food is already priced pretty high so I'm paying for it. That's the product. Tip is for additional/great service, to which there is none. 3. There is no where for a line to be formed. You block the entrance (and exit) when it's nice. Often times you're crowded around people who are sitting and eating. Honestly wouldn't be much of a bother except there is no order. The person at the front says I can help whoever is next, but it's not even clear to the people in line, who is in line and who is just waiting for their food. TLDR: Food is delicious; tipping doesn't make sense; the space isn't great. read more

I've heard a lot of good things about PDX sliders and I finally decided to try them out. Portland is a tough market in the burger department and everyone needs to do something to try and stand out but I wasn't as impressed as the hype surrounding this place. My general feeling is that the sliders are overpriced for the quality, flavor, and size. Also, nothing just jumped out and wowed me after a few different sliders. I also am usually turned off by restaurants that don't include sides like fries in the pricing. I felt like I was overcharged for mediocrity and nickel and dimed bc I had to pay for mediocre fries on top of everything. I want this to be a great place bc I'm a huge advocate for local restaurants but I feel like they haven't stepped up to the plate and delivered. Granted, I get it, being a small biz right now isn't easy but I'd like to see a little more effort into quality, variety, and service (also mediocre). With Oaks Bottom next door and Moreland Ale House a few blocks away, burger competition is tough in this neighborhood and I think there is room for improvement. read more

Super good truffle salt fries! We also tried the Portland made ketchup and it's bomb. I didn't like the burger or the fried chicken sliders that I tried, but that's just my personal opinion. I recognize it may be perfect for others. The burger is meaty and greasy, and the chicken isn't your traditional 'fried' chicken. It was super messy to eat and overall just a little bland for me, even the coleslaw. That being said, the customer service here is wonderful. The front staff were very friendly to us right when we walked in. I wish I liked the food a little bit more, but my personal taste doesn't warrant a low rating. :) read more

While I was at the Bluesfest with my nephew, I was looking for a good burger joint to go to afterwards. When I saw all the positive reviews for PDX Sliders, I almost couldn't believe my eyes. I just had to see what all the fuss was about. It definitely lives up to the hype. The sliders were excellent. The meat was juicy, tender, perfectly cooked, and well seasoned. The fries with Truffle salt and parsley were a nice accompaniment. And you can get either sliders or full sized burgers, all of which are named after Portland's numerous bridges. We had the Steel and the Fremont. Yummy. One side note: We had to go up the steps to order, so ask them how they take orders from anyone who isn't able to ascend the staircase. Outside seating was especially welcome on that beautiful sunny day that we went. So, if you're a carnivore, omnivore, or unfaithful vegetarian, come here for your beef fix. read more

Sadly I have to update my review and let you know why I will no longer be a regular customer here. My last visit I ordered called in a take out order. When I arrived I was told it wasn't ready (it was the time they told me it would be ready), I tipped well and let them know I would wait outside. Another 25 minutes later I go in to check on my order. It was sitting on the counter, not under a heat lamp getting cold. They never came out and called my name. I was watching. They just put it there and let it get cold while wasting 25 minutes of my time. After I left them a good tip, on a carry out order. The food was cold, and worse the fries weren't even fully cooked. Bringing me to my bigger issue.. The consistency of the food is terrible. Even worse, it has gotten even more inconsistent over the years. What do I mean by that? Lets take the Loaded Burlington as an example, as I often order this and it's all over the map. First of all, the fries very often anymore come out under cooked. When they are cooked correctly they are crispy and perfect. However many times they come out under cooked, from slightly to this last time I ordered, straight up raw. As in I couldn't eat them they were not cooked enough. Nothing worse than under cooked fries. That's not all though. The amounts of toppings is seemingly random. Some times it tastes like they don't add salt, sometimes they put so much salt on it that it puckers the lips. Sometimes there is almost no BBQ sauce and sometimes it's drowning in it. Same with the slaw, from almost none to drowning in slaw. These are not slight differences I am talking about. It's like the employees have no idea how much is supposed to be on there and just do whatever they want. Resulting in a product that ranges from great to completely inedible. These problems are not limited to just the fries, it is anything you buy here. It's just more noticeable on the loaded fries. Consistency in your orders going out is hard, I get that. Mistakes happen. I like the food enough I put up with an above average amount of mistakes over the years. As I have stated in my past positive reviews of this place. I have been a customer since it was a food cart. I love this place. However the inconsistency's just keep getting worse. I cannot keep spending money here when it's a gamble if I can even eat the food. read more

I will admit, I was reluctant to come here based on the price point alone. The burgers sounded good, but I thought it was pricey for something that would be really small (slider) or just a really expensive burger with no sides. Nonetheless I decided I wanted to try them out but didn't want to drive that far so opted for delivery. They definitely traveled just fine. I was super excited when I actually saw them. I went with the Burlington, Marquam, Hawthorne, and Tilikum, 2 sliders and 2 full size burgers. So my first thought when I got them was I no longer felt the price was high for what you get. These are not tiny sliders or burgers, and they are fully loaded. OMG they were all so good! Each one has it's own flavor profile and we enjoyed them all. They were well put together and everything was on point. There was so much flavor and texture to each and every one. Now I'm actually looking forward to trying others and know it's worth the money. This is where I'd go anytime I want a special burger, not just the average fare. And with delivery being so easy I'm likely to opt in for that again since it's a bit of a drive. Really didn't like this place that much. I think my main complaint is the slider bun. I got the corned beef and steak sliders and the bun was just raw and dry tasting. Almost like it was a half baked roll. Mayne stale? If it was toasted I might've liked it better. Very fatty and sloppy burgers but I thought the flavor was missing. Just blah. If I ever go back I'd get the full size burger which has a different bun. Lots of employees standing around and talking. Place needs upkeep it looks like a ragged party house. Best gourmet-like burgers ever!! We don't have restaurants like these where I'm from.. (we usually have Smashburger and the closest to what this place offers is probably Umami Burger) and to me, finding a juicy, different-from-a-typical burger is quite difficult. What I love about this place is the fact that they're DOG-FRIENDLY and have outside seating for that reason (I think everywhere in Oregon pretty much is) while also serving JUICY BURGERS. My husband and I got these following sliders: -Fremont -Hawthorne -Burlington -Broadway We usually like trying to get a taste of the whole menu and share. Hahaha. For those who love the kick of spice, Fremont is the way to go! Hawthorne is for those who are a fan of sweet and savory. Burlington is for mustard lovers and Broadway is for those who love smoked meat. I can't even believe they cook the meat in so many different ways and the way they cook it is absolutely perfect every time. Grilled beef..juicy. Smoked pork... juicy. They also seem to have a fried chicken sandwich.. and I would not be surprised if they cooked it to perfection either! They know their spices and sauces-- I loved all of them but preferred the beef sliders rather than pork since they're a bit on the heavier side. Did I mention they were DOG LOVERS??? For my 400th review, the honor goes to PDX Sliders! My roommate raved about this place when it was a cart a couple of years ago. He brought home a couple of sliders for me to try. For such a compact size, it managed to pack in so much flavor. I got hooked instantly and found excuses to go there on the way home from work. When I heard they were opening up a brick a mortar after a brief stint at Ancestry Brewery, I literally counted the days until grand opening. That weekend, I ordered the Broadway which is my favorite offering they have. The braised pork and wicked special sauce gets me hooked every single time. I will usually get the full size which instead of a slider it's 2-3 times the size. The truffle fries can easily feed 2 or 3 but I can be greedy sometimes. The loaded Broadway comes with truffle fries and layered with the toppings of the Broadway so it's the best of both worlds. Specials are often posted and I try to check them out when I can. The staff knows me pretty well since I am a regular and often will suggest what specials are being offered even if it's not listed on the board. I am not sure if it's like that for all so don't quote on me for that lol. The service has always been stellar and I am glad they are doing well in the heart of Sellwood. There is plenty of seating in the first floor and 2nd floor. Outdoor seating is available and perfect for the weather we have been having as of late. I feel weird grading on potential but hear me out. As the name says they make a great slider. I got the Hawthorne but as a full burger. I was really impressed with the flavors in the toppings. Sweet salty and funky all in one. I wanted a more toothsome burger though. However if this was shrunk down to slider size proportionally it would be perfect. I love the fries too. Similar to a small large burger place but they have a little more to them. Very friendly and patient staff. Also very kid friendly. I'd go back for sure. read more

My only "beef" (pun intended) with this spot is the wait. No matter if it's takeout or dine in, rush hour or random time, there's always been a long wait. The flavors here are 10/10 -- seriously the fries had so much flavor the cilantro, slaw and the garlic aoli was incredible. Easily the best place we've ever eaten in Portland. Service was excellent. PDX Sliders was one of our favorite restaurants as well as places to order from Postmates. The food was delicious. Lately, we've had several issues. The hamburger was so salty, it was inedible. The fries were cold and limp. We decided to give them a third try anyway and this time, sauce was added when it was clearly stated that it was an allergy issue. We had to throw away the food. The staff was friendly and happy to offer us options of local favorites and their own favorites. Ended up sharing the Philly fries and full size Fremont burger. The Philly fries were amazing melt in your mouth with a hint of garlic and the meat they used was tender and definitely high quality. The Fremont burger was like butter in my mouth. The jalapeño and aoili complimented each other well. The kids meal gave the option for grilled chicken that was definitely high quality. Didnt even need a knife to cut it and came with a lollipop. A hamburger is a hamburger. Some are better than others, but in the end; they're all hamburgers. Why is America so obsessed with hamburgers. I enjoy them as much as the next person. I just don't get crazy for them. My Son who lives in Portland says PDX Sliders almost every time I ask where he's like to eat. I finally gave in and we went. The burgers are very good, even to me. Probably one of the very best I've ever had. I think you would have to try this place to understand. I get the larger version as opposed to the sliders. It gives me a chance to taste it as a real burger for comparison. Given most folks obsession with burgers, I'm confident they would all love this place. read more
