The burgers and fries were such a treat. If you like bacon and goat cheese, get the Hawthorne. YUM! A shout-out to my server, who was exceptionally helpful on a really busy day! One tiny nit-pick. I love PDX sliders, they truly are my comfort food. they've been putting more burgers in a single box recently which is fine though tonight I wished there was paper between each one to stop the sauces getting all over each other. Still love their burgers and fries. The weirdest thing about tonight's kids meal was that it had an unwrapped sucker on the fries that had melted onto them. the kids named them NyQuil fries and they were unfortunately inedible. read more

I really wanted to love this place. The workers were very nice and I loved the location and all the seating they had (especially outdoor). I ordered the veggie burger and mushroom burger slider. People at my table ordered other things including a mushroom burger, fries and full size fries. The first problem was that they brought out one slider and fries and then said the rest would be out soon. Then they said they messed up the order because of the number. And then they came back again and said that the person who's order they gave us left so we got someone else's food. By the time they gave us our food it was cold. They did give us the extra food for free, though. Confusing. The veggie burger was pretty good. A little kick. The mushroom burger is apparently pretty inconsistent- sometimes it has balsamic sometimes it doesn't. I didn't like it so much. The fries were ok. Honestly the food wasn't that great especially at that price point. I did like the outdoor seating and veggie options. read more

I went to the Sellwood location and although finding a parking is at a premium but the food quality and taste is to die for! The service needs a little tweaking as the guys in the front seem okay but didn't see the sincerity especially without any smiling faces, it was like they were there just to fill the time, but the ambiance is there as it is a little quirky place to visit but it's "NOT" ADA Compliant and saw a customer using a cane having a hard time accessing the place. We went to the Division location and loved the burgers. About a month later we were on our way home, hungry and driving past this location so we decided to stop for lunch. Super busy but they are very efficient so the obnoxious looking line moved quickly and gave me just enough time to peruse the menu. The beer, fries, and burgers were good. My husband really enjoyed his. The previous time my burger patty was more of a "smash" style and super moist and flavorful. This time I had a full size burger and it was more of a traditional burger style (hockey puck style?) and not as moist and flavorful. This is a personal preference but I was so blown away the first time that this was a bit of a surprise that it wasn't the same. I don't know what the norm is - my first burger was a slider the others (both of hubs and my 2nd) were the full size so maybe that is the difference. YUM! Only giving 4 stars because the fries weren't ready with our sliders and then they forgot to bring them to us once they had some ready. They were so hot we had to wait a bit to eat them. But would wait a long time to eat those fries again! Not a huge fan of truffle, so was nervous but the subtle truffle was absolutely perfect. My husband and I shared the perfect weekday lunch at PDX Sliders in Sellwood. Service prompt and friendly. Wait times much better than on the weekends! We ordered 3 sliders (the Marquam, Morrison and Hawthorne- yuuuuuuum!) and a mixed greens salad with Balsamic dressing and it was the perfect amount of food to share. Only improvement possible: balance out the amount of frisée in the salad. "Mixed greens" implies different kinds of greens can be expected. Ours was 100% frisée. read more

Oh, man! This was... AMAZING! In a past review I crowned Killer Burger as the all time best burger joint; now that claim is clearly contested. The environment: The restaurant itself is inside a house. It is crammed, but it works. It is a typical off-the-wall Portland restaurant. There is seating in the front yard or inside (two floors of seating inside). After ordering at the front desk (if you will), you find a place to sit. To identify you they give you a card on a stand with a number. There is some soft music in the background to sing along with. Then, you wait. The food: This isn't even food. It is an art form! A brilliant, smooth art form. I mean, wow! There are almost no words. Wait... this is yelp there always are words. I ordered the slider called the "Fremont". It was a beef patty (thick if I may add), butter lettuce, some white cheese, grilled jalapeños and aioli on a brioche bun. Very delectable. Ever bite is filled with all of the above ingredients. Perfect juices flowing from food heaven drip into your mouth with the spicy addition of the grilled jalapeño(s). The butter lettuce is thin and crisp to a fault. With the cheese (last but not least), the burger is complete. A holy treat for your mind and tastebuds. The fries are also amazing! They are thin and crispy. They are cooked in truffle oil and sprinkled with rosemary and garlic salt. They are truly amazing! They should be the real gold standard. These fries perfectly compliment the slider. While their chicken sandwich is good - better than anything fast food save Chick-fil-A, it was a bit underwhelming. It's the BBQ sauce that threw me off. Something Carolina sweet or Frank's Hot Sauce-like would be better, theirs tasted like something from a Safeway shelf. There's a place on Sandy that offers an excellent CRISPY sandwich, but I won't name them because of some moronic policies (and I'm a spiteful bastard.) Back to PDX Sliders: what's the obsession with thin fries around town, I wish thick-cut would come back in fashion. ________ They lived up to the hype. Watch out for the hidden fees! They add a 10% fee to your order, which they say is on the menu, but if it is it's not well marked. Rather than just charging for the price of the food, they slip in an extra fee. I understand that prices go up, but why not just charge what it costs? Why add an extra surcharge? Feels really shady, and even worse, when I called and asked about it when I noticed it on my emailed receipt, the person who answered the phone acted snooty about it and seemed to think that this is a standard practice. I haven't seen this ANYWHERE ELSE. Also, service was not good. Asked for well done, because my preference is for meat to be cooked, and instead got a patty that was almost raw. Will not be back. Asked for them to be cooked medium but they were overcooked to not have any pink, but still good flavor. Loved the fries, super addictive. Didn't like the scented hand sanitizer, I think it's homemade. Lots of outside seating and inside they have lots of space between tables. So good for a variety of burger types and you could get two smaller ones but if you want a big juicy thick burger, not your place to go. read more

Stopped by for some sliders. To start, the service here is fantastic! The folks at the register, despite the fast casual setting, were so attentive to how I was enjoying my meal if not more than some full service places. I got the Broadway and a pork belly banh mi special. The Broadway has a perfect balance of flavors between the rich flavors of the pork, the bite from the aioli, and the slight herbal flavor of the greens. The special sort of missed the mark, as the flavors just didn't quite come together. My only other complaint is there seemed to be a lot of oil that wasn't completely explained by the ingredients of the sliders. It ended up making things a big soggy. Overall, cool place! read more

they're consistently good and a decent value for what you get though the sliders are a lot smaller they'll fill ya up! Online or over the phone ordering is always seamless and easy to pick up. The sellwood location you're gonna wanna park at the post office cuz parking on bybee is pretty non existent lol btw if you're ordering for a second person just get one side order of fries - it's actually two servings in a huge to go container. I ordered Hawthorn and Philly for To-Go. The menu states that adding 5% service fee with every order. However, 10% service fee was added on my to-go order without notifying. A business tries to spoof and fool its customers will not have any return customers, no matter how good the food is. For me, I'm not going to eat there again. Trust me when I say that everything here is amazing. Their menu is quite extensive so don't be too intimidated. Remember that you have the option to order a full sized burger or a slider. I have always been on the look out for good veggie burgers. This place didnt disappoint. In their menu they have 2 veggie slider options. The owner was very warm and he mentioned we can park at the car wash area just next to the cart as it was closed.Getting parking on the streets can take a while. Both the sliders tasted good. St john was with roasted portobello mushroom and some goat cheese filling on ciabatta bread. Another slider, Ross Island had veggie patty which I enjoyed more. If hungry I can eat up to 3 to 4 sliders. The price is reasonable and ingredients used are fresh. Though I didn't find too many vegetarian options. Overall it was a good experience sitting on the wooden bench and table and enjoying warm sliders on a windy and sunny afternoon. I will visit again if I am in vicinity. read more

Fantastic burgers, all of them, including the chicken sandwiches. Clever specials, delicious and not overly greasy fries. All the loaded fries options are great as well. Really miss this place! I love the size and variety of the sliders - the classic patties may be their best, but if you are craving goat cheese, pulled pork or portabella, they've got it. I had a special Vietnamese slider and their hot chicken slider and bother were to die for. PDX sliders is a must-have if you're in Portland. This place used to be a popular food cart not too long ago, but they have now repurposed a normal house into a restaurant, giving it a cozy and unique feel. You come for the vibes but stay for the sliders. Each slider is the perfect size (if you're hungry I recommend getting 2 sliders so you can try more of their juicy goodness). I had the Sellwood and Marquam sliders and split the loaded Burlington fries with my boyfriend. They were easily the best burgers I've ever had to the point where I can still taste the memory of them when I think back to it :') until next time, PDX. read more
