Discovered this little gem this past Wednesday. My friend and I just had dinner and wanted a dessert to celebrate my birthday. We Yelped Dessert places and Peace Cream was one of a few highly rated places. It was fairly close so we decided to give it a try. The store is on the North and West side of Greenway and 19th Ave. It is located at the north end of the strip mall. It's fairly small and at first glance, serves only Thrifty Ice Cream. We were greeted by a super friendly person named Sophia. She immediately offered samples and my buddy and I obliged. The ice cream is good and we discovered a new flavor called Superman. I guess it's one of the more popular flavors. Kind of tasted like Fruity Pebbles. I was deciding on the flavor and saw the two crepe makers. I asked about it and was assured that I was talking to the expert crepe maker, even after I had shared my crepe eating experience in Paris. Sophia expertly buttered the surface and poured just the right amount of batter. Then with delicate movements with her crepe tool, created the most beautiful crepe. We stopped in this afternoon and we will definitely be back. We had driven by Peace Cream many times and seen the review on line. Honestly we were a bit skeptical about the neighborhood but it is worth the stop. I had the mini banana split and my husband had a hot fudge sundae. The ice cream was creamy and delicious and they went above and beyond layering the hot fudge and whipped cream between scoops. The two sundaes, a water and tip came in at $13. What a value. Anyssa (super cool staff) hooked me up, fresh strawberries, amazing strawberry ice cream topped with a healthy dollop of fresh whip cream. What an amazing dessert place. The owner is very friendly and enjoys conversation. He even offered ice cream samples which were extremely delicious. The interior decor of the business is very cute and fun. We had the strawberry, banana, and Nutella crepe. Coming from the Midwest superman ice cream is a very popular flavor. After moving here and getting settled in for a few months my daughters and I decided to go searching for our favorite ice cream. I came upon Peace Creams reviews, which stated that they served superman ice cream. I was so excited to share this news with my girls! This is a little cute place in a strip mall but don't let that fool you. When you walk in, the ice cream parlor is clean & neat. The menus were separated by, ice cream, crepes, coffee & breakfast, they were all very easy to read and understand. The customer service and the way that they made us feel as soon as we walked in was just superb, it was A++! We felt welcome and was treated like we were long time customers or even like family. Pricing was good, I can't complain because the portions were huge. This is a small store front in the little cluster of businesses like Chino Bandido and Valley Wings. As you we walked in we were greeted with a welcome from one of the two young ladies behind the counter. It was rather busy and seemed pretty chaotic and claustriphobic. There were two young ladies working the counter with one ofthem seemingly a new hire. There were three of us and the person in our party who ordered a cone was enjoying it in about five minutes. The two of us who ordered and paid for belgian waffles were overlooked in the madness. When we were noticed sitting without any ice cream our order was started. Literally twenty minutes before we were given our orders. There were too many customers for the two employees to handle. My german chocolate waffle was delicious but twenty minutes is too long for such a simple item. It would have been a four star review based on the ice cream but the confusion and longwait are unacceptable. The owner needs to schedule enough help to cover the business. read more

My favorites were cookies and cream and peanut butter fudge! So creamy and delicious. I ended up going with one scoop of peanut butter fudge. Either one scoop is fairly large, or I was given a lot more than one scoop. So delicious! Each ice cream order comes with one free topping. I had Cookie Crisp with mine. It was great combination. My friend ordered a banana split and it huge. His ice cream selection was Superman, raspberry and vanilla. Superman is part of the secret menu and it taste like fruity pebbles! This led me to search Yelp for a local ice cream/milkshake spot and I was so surprised to find Peace cream was only a quick 2 min drive away. They had a variety of 8 flavors of fresh ice cream to pick from, I opted for strawberry cheesecake for the milkshake and we decided to get a crepe with Nutella and strawberries/banana. The milkshake was topped with an amazing thick whipped cream. Both items were really good but the milkshake stole the show. The ice cream was thick and full of flavor but not overly sweet.
