Steam clams clam chowder, steamed lobster buns(3), Connecticut style lobster roll with coleslaw

First off...we are a fan of Peacemaker downtown...our go to for Lobster Boil....so we decided to try Their Kirkwood location. Blended restaurant and bar...LOVED IT!. Tried a few things...Clam Chowder, Steamed Clams w/drawn butter, Steamed Lobster Buns, Lobster Roll Connecticut Style....Chowder Excellent made w/ pork belly...but not your typical cream base...a little kick to it, lobster buns good but we preferred the Lobster Roll-Delicious!!... ambience buttery!...So good!...had with the coleslaw which I really liked...more red cabbage and not "saucy"... steamed clams were also really good...I asked for drawn butter......you can eat inside...we opted to eat outside so ordered at the window...part of the ambience of this location...laidback and casual ... thoroughly enjoyed our early Saturday lunch....will be back!

I got the gumbo and lobster roll. Both were excellent. A great wine selection on deck as well.

I've been here twice and had great experiences both times. Not sure what's up with the bad reviews!…read more They have a TON of seating - indoor and outdoor. Their outdoor patio is fantastic. You can order from the bar for beers/the counter for food OR you can use the QR code. Both are incredibly fast. Like had our food under 10 minutes which was awesome. Bar has something for everyone - some great beers, cocktails, and wine. Peacemaker was good as always. I always upgrade to fries then regret it because their chips are bomb. The only complaint here is the amount of meat/seafood they put on their sandwiches - it's like bread with a few shrimp. For the price you're paying (almost $20 an entree), I feel like you should be getting a little more meat. But at least it's good. I got a burger this time and the patties were seasoned super well and honestly very, very good. Such a cool spot, especially on a nice day. Great spot for beers and hanging out with friends.

The vibe when we visited was less brewery and more unsupervised playground. Kids were running around barefoot, throwing mulch and rocks, while plenty of parents sat back with drinks in hand. My wife and I, along with several other guests, were repeatedly getting hit with rocks from children running around the property. Maybe this was an unusually busy night, but it was hard to relax or have a conversation between the constant chaos, the trains, and the swarm of kids treating the place like recess. I'd post photos, but every picture is mostly other people's children, and that doesn't seem fair. If you're looking for a quiet drink or an adult atmosphere, you may want to look elsewhere. If you're looking for a place where the kids can run wild while the adults have a drink, you'll probably fit right in.

We had a great waiter; he was attentive and helpful throughout the meal. We ordered a table appetizer to share, The Batter Dipped Lobster Bites are a big hit, for good reason! They come on a bed of crispy fries that are great on their own, but the lobster bites are fantastic! Crunchy but not greasy and dipped in the warm butter, yum! I have ordered different things every time I visit, this time I ordered off the chef's plates menu and went with the Steak Frites. Ribeye cap, lounge fries, the same fries as with the Lobster Bites, arugula, citrus herb aioli, and bearnaise butter. The Rib cap is a cut I haven't had before; it reminded me of skirt or flank steak. It was tender and flavorful. I love arugula and this with the citrus herb aioli was great. I would order it again. Signature Wedding Cake with vanilla ice cream, shared by the table, everyone enjoyed it. Great food, great service, loved by all my out-of-town coworkers!

Although I will say that the risotto was insanely good, and I did enjoy the bone marrow. Admittedly, the best part of the meal were my two bourbons lol. They have an excellent selection of bourbon, tequila, and other things. I know a couple things went right, but when you pay over $200 for a meal, I sort of expect everything to be perfect. This was super disappointing, and I honestly can't say if I'll go back or not. I can say this, I know other people who have been there, and they swear by the place, so I'm really hoping I just caught them on a bad night. It's just unfortunate. I would have to pay so much for a bad night.
