In June, I had an appointment at CSUN and stopped by Peak Cafe for a treat. The cafe's in a plaza with free parking. The cafe's interior is bright with plenty of seating. It was quite busy for a late Monday morning; there was a mix of students and families. I did takeaway, and the service was minimal, yet fast. I ordered the Injeolmi Latte ($8.10), which was iced and sweet with a light roasted flavor. The coffee was strong, so mix it well and you'll get a creamy latte. If I'm in the area again, then I'd return to Peak Cafe to try more of their menu!
Went to give this place a try and the drinks were delicious! It's very mellow and relaxing inside, not too loud. The staff were really nice and quick in getting our drinks ready! The biscoff latte was more on the sweeter side for sure, which I liked and you can really TASTE the mango in the matcha latte we got too. It was a delight to try! They do offer milk alternatives just fyi! :) I will say it is a bit on the pricier side compared to some other coffee shops. It also seems that a lot of students or just people in general come here to study and work, so when we went it was a bit busy and hard to find seating inside!
I really enjoyed this cafe. We were all craving matcha and were all very happy & satisfied with our choice in coming here! The cafe is very spacious with really friendly staff and quick service. We went on a Sunday but it seems like a great place to study during the week too. We got the mango matcha, banana matcha, and yuja matcha tonic. I thought the options in matcha were amazing and we were all impressed with the quality. The mango matcha was definitely a 10/10. It was my first time trying mango matcha and I'm so happy my first experience was here. It was amazing! I was really impressed by their cloud top and the mango pieces were really refreshing. As for the banana matcha. I'd give it a 7/10. It tasted a little bit like artificial banana but it wasn't bad. Would come back for the mango matcha and to try the matcha tonic!
Local coffee shop with lots of fun & unique flavors! Seems like a great place for matcha or coffee, based on observing other people's drinks while I was inside. Good space inside, tables are spaced nicely apart. Feels like a comfortable spot to come and do some work. Easy parking outside too, there's a lot. I ordered an iced banana latte but held the cream top as I'm dairy free. I ordered mine with almond milk. It came in at almost $9, pretty steep. It was ready very soon afterwards. I thought it was okay, it had that artificial banana flavor that reminded me of some childhood candy that I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe the banana laffy taffy? Anyways, it was presented nicely with a banana slice on top and if you're into banana flavor, I'm sure you'll be into this. In hindsight, I wish I ordered another flavor though. Maybe next time!
I tried Peak for the first time and it is a really relaxing place! I can see that it's popular among students, it's quiet and spacious. I got the biscoffee and it tastes good! The cashier was really friendly and overall I had a good experience for just popping in to get a coffee before heading back to work.
Got the strawberry milk and the strawberry bingsoo. Both were really good and super refreshing on a hot day. I also liked that neither of them was overly sweet. The inside was a lot bigger than I expected and had plenty of seating. There were also a lot of outlets, which makes it a perfect place to get some work done or catch up with friends. The service was really friendly, and parking was easy since there's a large parking lot. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area!
I found my new fave coffee shop! I've tried the Peaked Up & Corn latte. Both were really good and strong (which is a must!) it's around 8.60 a cup but the coffee is strong. Employees were friendly and plenty of seating. Definitely a lot of people studying and I can imagine it gets even busier with students once the semester starts.
This is cute cafe right by CSUN! It gets quite crowded with a lot of people coming to get work done. Since it was later in the day, I got the *sunset tonic* which was aesthetically pleasing with delicious yuzu and lychee. My cousin got the *injeolmi latte* and it was quite caffeinated/strong and creamy! We shared a *banana brûlée croffle* with a yummy white cloud of mascarpone cream and carmelized banana. It was my first time here and definitely not my last! Can't wait to come back and try more things!!
Bustling place on Sunday at 2pm, short line to place order that moved quickly, but I could have used the extra time to read all drink options on the menu. The Bischoffee or Banana Latte or Corn Coffee were all very tempting but I went for my preferred drink these days Strawberry Matcha although as I stood there waiting for my drink (which quite a bit longer than my friends American) I was regretting not trying one of their insane looking coffee drinks (aka deserts). My BF said his Americano was excellent, not acidic or bitter in any way. My strawberry matcha was good, a bit too jammy, but not cloyingly sweet although the matcha itself was mildly flavored, it was highly caffeinated since it kept me from falling asleep at my regular time. If I was in the area I'd absolutely go back there again.
I was truly impressed with Peak Café and I know I'm not alone because the place was packed the night we went even though it was midweek. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient. And the menu had the most interesting looking selection of unusual items. I know I will be returning in order to try some of them. The reason I'm not giving Peak Cafe a perfect rating is because I went specifically to try the bingsoo. I was very excited to find a bingsoo place in the valley. However, because I was comparing it to the Bingsoo at Oakobing, I was slightly disappointed. If I had tried Peak Café first I would have loved it, however, it is very hard to beat Oakobing. All in all, I will definitely recommend Peak Cafe. A nice relaxed environment paired with an interesting menu and reasonable prices.
Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Peak Cafe and had no complaints about drinks, service, or vibes. Service was very friendly! It's a beautifully decorated and aesthetically pleasing space with plenty of seating and even the bathrooms were nice and definitely well-maintained. I had the Coconut Cloud with Matcha and it was perfectly refreshing. I also sampled the Biscoffee and it had a strong espresso flavor that was well complemented by the sweet cookie butter flavor. The bungeoppang was freshly prepared and well worth the $5.50 for 2; the hotteok flavor was my favorite. Overall, Peak is a wonderful space and a comfy place to study in. No wifi on Sundays though!
It was my first time at this café. I heard good things about it and I finally got over here to give it a try! Upon entering, I thought it was just such a cute set up. It's a decent size café. It was pretty busy, but I didn't feel like it was overwhelming or very loud. Definitely a nice spot to get some work done and enjoy a snack and some coffee. We did try one of the pastries, and it was pretty good. My boyfriend got the matcha strawberry latte and I got the mocha latte with oat milk. Both of these drinks were absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the flavor. This is definitely going to be added to my top few places to get coffee. They do have a pretty good size menu, including Seasonal items and other specialty items. They have them listed by the register. Customer Service was great. Those who helped us were very nice and very helpful. Café was very clean. I will definitely be back here again.
Laid back cafe with decent bingsoo and matcha. Plenty of parking next to csun. Definately wished the binsoo would have more of the drizzle and toppings for the sweetness and flavor layered into the bingsoo because once you eat it off the top, its all downhill after. Plenty of mochi though. Strawberry matcha is a bit expensive for the location and quality. The baristas were nice and friendly :)
Peak Cafe is probably one of the most unique cafes here in the valley. I love that more and more asian cafes are opening up here and I'd have to say this is probably one of the best. First up, when you first walk in--it is so spacious and has a clean aesthetic. It doesn't feel cramped or anything like that. There is music playing but it isn't loud, so it's perfect for studying or just to chill (since it is next to CSUN). However, I didn't see a lot of outlets so if you do come, make sure your laptop is fully charged. In terms of service, I'd have to give high praise for who o believe (?) was the owner? I'm not sure but she was so sweet and so nice. As for menu items, I've tried a few things. Sunset tonic, Hojicha Latte, and their Nutella Boongobbang. Loved. Every. Single. One. The sunset tonic was the perfect amount of sweet, and it hits you with a burst of energy. The hojicha was a nice smooth latte that isn't sweet at all, but just right for my mom. I highly recommend this cafe for you to try! read more
Tried this place that opened in the Valley! It's a korean style cafe with speciality drinks. The corn latte is a 10/10. Super sweet, creamy, and you can definitely taste the corn. This is a delicious korean style drink that doesn't disappoint. The sunset tonic was a 9/10. It is very refreshing on a summer day. The matcha was extremely disappointing. 2/10. It was very grassy/earthy flavor. Be sure to add sweetener to help with the taste but honestly I've had better matcha other places in the valley. This place is very cute and a good place to study. Went for brunch and for a refreshing drink! The vibes inside are nice-- very chill and cozy. Got the Bulgogi Kimchi Panini, Strawberry Matcha Croffle, and Sunrise Tonic. Bulgogi Kimchi Panini -- The employees told us it would take around 10-15 minutes to come out, which ended up being accurate. It was super yummy and very filling! Strawberry and Matcha Croffle -- For one, it looked absolutely beautiful. Taste was also on point, and the strawberries and matcha paired really well together. The cream was also perfectly light and sweet! Sunrise Tonic -- Very refreshing! Mainly tastes peachy but also a nice hint of lemon and citrus in it. read more
New cafe, big store, variety of drinks and desserts! Really good place to just chat with friends or study at. Love their hojicha cloud drink! So refreshing!! The foam in it is also good and ties well with the drink. I have to try their matcha cloud next. The injeolmi latte was good and the injeolmi flavor was strong. Recommend for people who love coffee especially Korean styled coffee. They have bingsoo and some other desserts/snacks as well. Two sizes for bingsoo, I find the small size perfect to share with two people. I usually drink hojicha or matcha lattes at cafes so I tried the hojicha latte here. It was good but it had way too much milk I think. My brother tried the matcha latte and he said he could not even taste the matcha and only tasted the milk. He said the matcha is not noticeable at all. Not sure if their matcha is strong or not, I will have to try that next time. I think they should put more hojicha/matcha and less milk and it would be perfect. I like the hojicha flavor, it was noticeable in the cloud drink so I'm sure it would be even better in the latte if there was less milk. I recommend visiting this place. Its clean and spacious and their cloud drinks are super refreshing for this weather. I will be visiting again and I hope their lattes will be better the next time. read more
This is already being a prime spot to get some nice studying in. I've gone here a few times already and can't get enough! The inside is really nice and cozy, with a white and clean vibe. I love how modern the decor inside is and how refreshing it is to relax inside as well. The cafe is located right beside CSUN, which is perfect I think for college students to come in and get work done. Despite the large amount of people that are inside, I like how quiet it is, which really helps foster productivity. Tables are placed well at appropriate distances. The music is turned on at a low tune, and the playlists are good but not distracting. I love how the smooth furniture and clean bathrooms provide the sense of relaxation. So far I love everything about the place! I DO wish for more outlets however and for the prospect of more savory food and snacks to eat!! Super excited to find out there was this new spot nearby CSUN campus, located on the corner across from the Chili's parking lot. My friends invited my boyfriend and I to come here and try out the spot. It apparently had a grand opening the day before we came. It was a great and comfortable experience. The interior was decorated very well, giving a beautiful welcoming and open vibe. We had nice window spots at around 1pm and chilled around studying with our laptops for a couple of hours. We got a lot of work done and was able to admire the drinks and snacks offered. Ordered the honey pear tea, the strawberry matcha latte (with oat milk! The other nondairy option is almond milk), and boongobbang (the fish-shaped cakes with filling inside). We got nutella, taro, and red bean flavors and enjoyed the taste of the snacks. It was 5 for $10, and they were all a satisfactory size. The AC was temperature-controlled and the music was at a low volume, adding more comfort and relaxation to the experience. I think that we all agreed that we would love for more savory food options to be included one day! But since we were next to Chipotle, we munched on the bowls we had brought. We've been waiting for this to open and it's finally here. Soft opening was a success to be honest. The room was packed and the ordering easy and straightforward. Our drinks and dessert were made expediently and we enjoyed every bit of it. The drinks were perfectly sweetened, the bingsu was delicious, the tea was amazing, the ambiance was perfect, and the employees were very friendly. I can't wait for it to open to everyone soon and invite as many people as I can. read more

Nice ambiance, with lots of space and seating and friendly staff. Nice array of desserts and coffee. Enjoyed the bingsoo.. a large can be shared between 2-3 people for sure! Also got this waffle like dessert, solid! read more

Came back on a Sunday, the place was very busy but there was still some seatings left. On Sundays they do not provide WiFi so be aware. We waited over 40 minutes for our Strawberry Banana Croffle. We will sadly not come back due to the no WiFi and price increases. The pastries and drinks are good but unfortunately does not justify paying almost $9 (with tip) for a drink and not being able to get WiFi. read more

My girlfriend and I came to this place wanting to try something new for our sweet tooth. We were blown away with the social ambience, quality of service, and the most delicious desserts. She got the strawberry bingsoo and I got their new cereal bingsoo. Highly recommend both as the strawberry has soft chewy mochi and the whole dessert tastes better as it melts with all of its other toppings. My cereal was very reminiscent of the sweet milk left behind by Frosted Flakes and the flakes weren't too crunchy. So much space inside and it has a nice vibe to it. I love getting Bingsoo and don't know places in the valley to get them but now I know a place, peak cafe. I really enjoyed their Bingsoo it's the fluffy ice and the toppings that really speak out. Really feels like I'm butting into snow and the ice cream they put on top is creamy and nice. Toppings are fresh. My hojicha latte was great my friend also had it but she wished it was sweeter, as she had had it before here and it was sweeter the first time. I don't remember if they asked for a sweetness level or if they offered that but would be great to ask customers. read more

For a Tuesday night around 6:00pm, it was not as crowded as it seems to be since the location was near CSUN. I was able to order right away since there was no line when I had walked in. The Matcha Bingsoo was nice and refreshing while the Horacha Latte tasted more like chocolate for me. Also, the environment is calm and smooth for anyone that needs to do any school or work related. They have WiFi if you need it from Monday to Saturday, but not on Sundays (I'm not sure the reason why that is). There is free parking lot within the plaza for anyone that needs it. read more

Went on a weekday to get the bingsu since there are so few places in the valley that serve it and I was not disappointed. The bingsu was so soft and snowy they really packed the bowl full and topped it off with fresh strawberries and matcha powder. This spot is really big and seems to be popular with students studying but I like that they have a designated area for a laptop free zone. They also have a claw machine with cute plushies. The people working keep the cafe very clean and made really good recommendations on what to try. Can't wait to come back :) read more

A great little shop! I tried the peach and loved it. They put the condensed milk on the side, so you can control the sweetness, which was perfect. The staff was also really friendly and helpful about flavors. The portions are also enormous. I ordered a large for five of us and we still had leftovers for about three more days. This is a great addition to the CSUN area! read more
New study spot near CSUN! It's very spacious inside with lots of natural light and seating. Although there were a lot of tables, it was really full at the time and was difficult to get a seat. Nice ambiance with variety of drink choices that were unique and delicious. I will definitely come back to study! read more

The atmosphere here is so pleasant. Even when every seat is full, it is somehow so quiet and peaceful. The staff are all genuinely kind, caring people, who add a special touch to the service that I haven't experienced anywhere else in this city. Every drink and meal I've had at Peak has been the highest quality, but what I love the most is the energy this place has, from the setting to the staff. I really appreciate having this cafe here in my neighborhood when we have so few things left around to brighten our daily lives. read more
