In June, I had an appointment at CSUN and stopped by Peak Cafe for a treat. The cafe's in a plaza with free parking. The cafe's interior is bright with plenty of seating. It was quite busy for a late Monday morning; there was a mix of students and families. I did takeaway, and the service was minimal, yet fast. I ordered the Injeolmi Latte ($8.10), which was iced and sweet with a light roasted flavor. The coffee was strong, so mix it well and you'll get a creamy latte. If I'm in the area again, then I'd return to Peak Cafe to try more of their menu!
I really enjoyed this cafe. We were all craving matcha and were all very happy & satisfied with our choice in coming here! The cafe is very spacious with really friendly staff and quick service. We went on a Sunday but it seems like a great place to study during the week too. We got the mango matcha, banana matcha, and yuja matcha tonic. I thought the options in matcha were amazing and we were all impressed with the quality. The mango matcha was definitely a 10/10. It was my first time trying mango matcha and I'm so happy my first experience was here. It was amazing! I was really impressed by their cloud top and the mango pieces were really refreshing. As for the banana matcha. I'd give it a 7/10. It tasted a little bit like artificial banana but it wasn't bad. Would come back for the mango matcha and to try the matcha tonic!
Local coffee shop with lots of fun & unique flavors! Seems like a great place for matcha or coffee, based on observing other people's drinks while I was inside. Good space inside, tables are spaced nicely apart. Feels like a comfortable spot to come and do some work. Easy parking outside too, there's a lot. I ordered an iced banana latte but held the cream top as I'm dairy free. I ordered mine with almond milk. It came in at almost $9, pretty steep. It was ready very soon afterwards. I thought it was okay, it had that artificial banana flavor that reminded me of some childhood candy that I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe the banana laffy taffy? Anyways, it was presented nicely with a banana slice on top and if you're into banana flavor, I'm sure you'll be into this. In hindsight, I wish I ordered another flavor though. Maybe next time!
Went to give this place a try and the drinks were delicious! It's very mellow and relaxing inside, not too loud. The staff were really nice and quick in getting our drinks ready! The biscoff latte was more on the sweeter side for sure, which I liked and you can really TASTE the mango in the matcha latte we got too. It was a delight to try! They do offer milk alternatives just fyi! :) I will say it is a bit on the pricier side compared to some other coffee shops. It also seems that a lot of students or just people in general come here to study and work, so when we went it was a bit busy and hard to find seating inside!
I tried Peak for the first time and it is a really relaxing place! I can see that it's popular among students, it's quiet and spacious. I got the biscoffee and it tastes good! The cashier was really friendly and overall I had a good experience for just popping in to get a coffee before heading back to work.
Got the strawberry milk and the strawberry bingsoo. Both were really good and super refreshing on a hot day. I also liked that neither of them was overly sweet. The inside was a lot bigger than I expected and had plenty of seating. There were also a lot of outlets, which makes it a perfect place to get some work done or catch up with friends. The service was really friendly, and parking was easy since there's a large parking lot. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area!
This is cute cafe right by CSUN! It gets quite crowded with a lot of people coming to get work done. Since it was later in the day, I got the *sunset tonic* which was aesthetically pleasing with delicious yuzu and lychee. My cousin got the *injeolmi latte* and it was quite caffeinated/strong and creamy! We shared a *banana brûlée croffle* with a yummy white cloud of mascarpone cream and carmelized banana. It was my first time here and definitely not my last! Can't wait to come back and try more things!!
I found my new fave coffee shop! I've tried the Peaked Up & Corn latte. Both were really good and strong (which is a must!) it's around 8.60 a cup but the coffee is strong. Employees were friendly and plenty of seating. Definitely a lot of people studying and I can imagine it gets even busier with students once the semester starts.
It's a big cafe with lots of seating, making it a nice cafe for studying. On the flipside, it can get packed on the weekends, so expect to have trouble finding seating. It can also get loud if you have trouble studying in busy spaces. I got a drink from the Specialty menu--a Biscoffee priced at $8.60 that came out to $9.99 after tax and an extra $0.50 for oat milk. I feel that their prices are a bit higher than other cafes, and though the sizes are big (I assume 20oz), I wish they offered smaller sizes. I also wish they did not charge extra for alternative milks when the base price is already so high. The drink was pretty, but aside from the Biscoff cookies on top, the drink tasted like a regular latte that happened to be in the same room as cookie butter. Overall, it's a nice place to go with friends, but I felt disappointed with my drink and the prices.
Bustling place on Sunday at 2pm, short line to place order that moved quickly, but I could have used the extra time to read all drink options on the menu. The Bischoffee or Banana Latte or Corn Coffee were all very tempting but I went for my preferred drink these days Strawberry Matcha although as I stood there waiting for my drink (which quite a bit longer than my friends American) I was regretting not trying one of their insane looking coffee drinks (aka deserts). My BF said his Americano was excellent, not acidic or bitter in any way. My strawberry matcha was good, a bit too jammy, but not cloyingly sweet although the matcha itself was mildly flavored, it was highly caffeinated since it kept me from falling asleep at my regular time. If I was in the area I'd absolutely go back there again.
I was truly impressed with Peak Café and I know I'm not alone because the place was packed the night we went even though it was midweek. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient. And the menu had the most interesting looking selection of unusual items. I know I will be returning in order to try some of them. The reason I'm not giving Peak Cafe a perfect rating is because I went specifically to try the bingsoo. I was very excited to find a bingsoo place in the valley. However, because I was comparing it to the Bingsoo at Oakobing, I was slightly disappointed. If I had tried Peak Café first I would have loved it, however, it is very hard to beat Oakobing. All in all, I will definitely recommend Peak Cafe. A nice relaxed environment paired with an interesting menu and reasonable prices.
Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Peak Cafe and had no complaints about drinks, service, or vibes. Service was very friendly! It's a beautifully decorated and aesthetically pleasing space with plenty of seating and even the bathrooms were nice and definitely well-maintained. I had the Coconut Cloud with Matcha and it was perfectly refreshing. I also sampled the Biscoffee and it had a strong espresso flavor that was well complemented by the sweet cookie butter flavor. The bungeoppang was freshly prepared and well worth the $5.50 for 2; the hotteok flavor was my favorite. Overall, Peak is a wonderful space and a comfy place to study in. No wifi on Sundays though!
It was my first time at this café. I heard good things about it and I finally got over here to give it a try! Upon entering, I thought it was just such a cute set up. It's a decent size café. It was pretty busy, but I didn't feel like it was overwhelming or very loud. Definitely a nice spot to get some work done and enjoy a snack and some coffee. We did try one of the pastries, and it was pretty good. My boyfriend got the matcha strawberry latte and I got the mocha latte with oat milk. Both of these drinks were absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the flavor. This is definitely going to be added to my top few places to get coffee. They do have a pretty good size menu, including Seasonal items and other specialty items. They have them listed by the register. Customer Service was great. Those who helped us were very nice and very helpful. Café was very clean. I will definitely be back here again.
Cute new Korean place with bingsoo, I love that they have half size portions. Fast service. I also like the tayaki options they have. A lot of students come here to study so there may not be a lot of seating space during peak hours. read more

Our group had the matcha & mango bingsoo and the biscoffee. It was all very good. We would definitely come back again. The decor is cute, lots of seating & great place to hang out with friends. We found this place when we were looking for bingsoo in the valley. Definitely will come back again. read more

Beautiful, clean and serene cafe, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. They answered all our questions and suggested we had the strawberry waffle thing. This was our first time here visiting them so their suggestions were welcome. The vibe of the cafe is relaxing which is great for a Sunday afternoon treat for us. Plenty of seating areas and spaces to sit back and relax. Will definitely be coming back for more read more

Went here because I was craving bingsu and there is no good place for it in the valley. I can't say that anymore as this place is great. The staff was friendly and the food options where good. I got the large strawberry bingsu and it looked and was sized like a legitimate bingsu place, not some wannabe bingsu place. Only complaint I have would be that I wish the menu was more visible as I only saw a paper sized one on display at the cashier counter. read more

We had timed it perfectly arriving about 7pm. We got the last table before a bunch of families and young people came. All the tables were taken by students studying and on their computers. The desserts were delicious and Will definitely come back when I'm in town. Yum! read more

Finely shaved ice topped with creamy ice cream, fresh mango chunks, crunchy almonds, and chewy mochi, served with a side of sweet condensed milk. I savored every bite of this refreshing treat. The cafe was busy. Parking was convenient, with spots available right out front and a few more on the side. read more
The strawberry milk was sooo good! This cafe was very cutesy, mindful, demure! First time here and really likely to return. Plenty of seats, but it was packed with customers but we were able to grab a table. Servers were nice, bathrooms very clean, very inviting establishment. I got to try the Injeolmi latte! It wasn't too sweet but also slightly sweet when you sip from the straw. The cashier was very attentive in recommending drinks for future visits and suggested their favorite pastry which was the s'more's cookie. It's in close proximity to CSUN so that's the best part! Will come back to try more drinks and maybe stay and do homework in their open seating area. read more
Their boongabbang is awesome. Their shaved-ice is great! We don't need to go to ktown LA to get good shaved ice. So clean and spacious! Service was very great. All staffs were nice friendly. Noice level is a bit loud but their food and drinks are awesome. read more

This is our new favorite cafe in the Valley. The cafe's ambiance is great and there's lots of seating. The drinks are also unique and taste yummy. We tried the strawberry coconut cloud and the hojicha coconut cloud and both were hits. We can't wait to come back and try more drinks and their desserts. They have shaved ice here (patbingsoo) so looking forward to having that! read more

This is such a cute cafe and it's very spacious inside with a lot of seating which is so great! I ordered the matcha coconut cloud & I love that they used coconut water! The bits of coconut meat in the drink tasted so good with the matcha which was just right. Tried the mango and Oreo bingsoo which were yummy as well, they have them in regular or large and there is mochi in it too. Over all I would say the price matches well for the flavor quality/aesthetic & I will definitely come back again. I love that this is in my neighborhood. 10/10! read more
Bingsu is good, we got a small Oreo and mango bingsu. Enough for one person and to share, good price wise! Finally some bingsu in the valley!! I got the sunset tonic (yuzu, butterfly pea, and lychee), it's good if you like tonic and bitter tea. However I disliked how the yuzu jam was too thick that I could not mix it with the tea, if it was a thin consistency or already mixed in then I would have loved this drink. The workers are nice. There's a bathroom. Plenty of seating. I would say this is a good place to hang with friends but not a good place to study if you hate loud noises. Perhaps in the evening it would be a better place to study at. Wish y'all would have actual food items, perhaps ham and cheese croissants or something savory like that. read more
This place is a Korean dessert bingsu, drinks, and some desserts. The bingsu was a bit of a disappointment.. the ice has no flavor and even with adding the condense milk it was still dry. I had to ask for more of the condense milk.. it taste more like "milk"... we got two flavors, strawberry and black sesame. The black sesame was more of a powder they put on top of the shave ice. We absolutely love the ambience. It's cozy, roomy, fun place to hang out or study. The menu, since it just opened.. I hope there will be more food/drinks selection in the future! read more

Peak is our favorite shaved ice cream / bingsu shop in the San Fernando Valley and we've tried all of them. The service is so friendly. The shaved ice is incredibly soft and fluffy with delicious toppings. The drinks are great. Everything is perfect. We love the boongabbong as well. Tonight really reaffirmed how amazing and generous they are. Our kids accidentally dropped their cookie and cloud bingsu and they quickly replaced it. They were so gracious and understanding, told the kids that people spill all the time. We've been working our way through the menu since they opened and every item we've tried has been perfect. The space is also large, clean and modern. This is our go-to spot for dessert in our neighborhood. read more

Peak Cafe was somewhat hard to find. I just Google Mapped it and it kept taking me to the plaza, but not to where it was specifically. I had to drive around the plaza a few times to find it. It's all the way in the back. Despite it being in the plaza, parking was busy. Once inside, the place is pretty spacious, which is ideal since it's near the university and I imagine a lot of students use the space to study and work. Since I was with my mom and grandma, I just quickly went in and ordered to go. I went with a regular iced matcha, and got an iced strawberry matcha for my mom. I definitely enjoyed the strawberry matcha better than the regular one. It wasn't overly sweet, but still gave the matcha enough sweetness to make it a good pick me up option. They have a lot of other stuff on the menu, and even options to share like shaved ice. I'm not in the area often but I'd say this is still a good spot to check out when you are. read more

Nice new coffee & tea shop. The drinks are made to order and take a bit long. Very spacious and somewhere to study or get some work done. At the time of my visit which was a Sunday, there were a few families and the parents were letting their kids run around. Be mindful of visiting during the weekend. I would say that if there is a line the drinks will take longer than 10-15 minutes. Overall the drinks were good and are comparable to other Korean coffee shops. Coconut Cloud Matcha- 5/10 (The matcha cloud had an off putting taste and a bit stronger aftertaste.) Corn Coffee- 9/10 (Taste was great. I recommend mixing this drink with the cloud as the corn flavor is more of a canned cream corn flavor. The texture is interesting at first but after it's enjoyable. I would compare this to an Atole de Elote but with coffee.) read more

So good to have a place like Peak Cafe in the Valley! We usually have to go all the way down to Ktwon to have these kind of drinks and desserts, but now we can just go to Peak Cafe and enjoy a good mango bingsoo with delicious mango puree, mango chunks and ice cream (don't forget the condensed milk on top) on a hot summer day. We also tried their corn coffee, an unusual yet sumptuous taste. We were so full from lunch yet we were able to appreciate how good their menu was. They also have a good space for studying, reading and just hanging out, with a parking lot with lots of spots. Thank you for coming to us Peak Cafe!! read more

Very cute cafe! Their menu is quite tiny, but that's fine. The menu has coffee, tea, tonics, bingsoo, boongobongs (these are basically the korean version of japanese takiyakis) and a bit more. They have some additional food items at the cashier that aren't on the menu, like Yogurt, Paninis, cookies. Though I assume these are most likely seasonal or experimental items. I did however get the Bulgogi Kimchi Panini. It sounded interesting and it tasted really good! Got the pepper jack boongobongs, black sesame bingoo, and passionfruit tonic as well. All super good! Would definitely come back to try other things whenever I am in town. read more
