This place is great! I made a reservation days in advance because I've heard really good things so I knew they would be booked up. The atmosphere is fun, the service is good and the food was amazing. The nachos were some of the best I've ever had. I was relieved to find vegetarian/vegan options. I had grilled pineapple tacos and I haven't stopped thinking about them since I went. Got a chance to visit Pearl and Lime in person on Sunday, and I was really impressed. The interior is cute and low-key, definitely like a casual taco bar. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The restaurant has two "sides", and there was only one party on the left side, and only me and my husband on the right side. It was almost like a private dining experience, which was definitely comforting during the pandemic. Their sanitization procedures were also comforting--all the staff were wearing masks in a correct manner, and I routinely saw staff disinfecting surfaces. They do contact tracing (they took our names and numbers), and use a digital menu and payment system so that there's no unnecessary contact. The food was even better in person than as take-out! Their horchata is homemade and tasted great in their drinks. I've tried all their tacos now, and they are all fresh and flavorful. The chips are thick and rustic, and the salsa is both sweet and savory. We'll be back. It's nice to have a taco place in Quincy. read more

It's been a while since I've written a review due to Covid, and this place is actually one of the handful of places I've eaten out since restaurants resumed business with restrictions, but the food and service was so amazing that I felt compelled to write one. I didn't get a chance to really see the inside except to use the bathroom, but the inside looked nice and modern, and when the weather cools down there are some nice booths that I will def. be taking advantage of. Our server (forgot his name) was absolutely fantastic. Very accommodating, great recommendations of menu items, had a great sense of humor and was constantly checking in with us to see if we needed anything. As soon as I finished my delicious cocktail, he would appear to see if I wanted another (and I did!). The cocktails are really good...I had a Mojito to start which was delicious and then I moved on to their medium spicy margarita which is made with roasted poblanos (they have a spicier one that has some spicy hot sauce in it, but the medium was so good I drank it for the rest of the night). My friend had one of the cucumber margaritas and that was also very good and really refreshing. We came mostly for drinks (which you should not pass up because their Mixologist came from my favorite cocktail bar in Boston, Drink), but the food smelled so good we decided to all get some things to munch on. We settled on chips and queso. The queso is fresh made with a few jalapeno slices on top and the chips were actually really good tortilla chips...we actually ended up requesting more to get those last bits of queso out of the dish. We then moved on to the Papas Bravas (fingerling potatoes) seasoned a really delicious mix. It was seasoned with Aji Amarillo and tomatillo salsa and was AMAZING. It has a slight kick of heat to it, but I honestly could have eaten the whole thing and not shared...if you come here, you gotta try these bc they are the best I have ever had. We also had the Crudo which, while good, was probably my least favorite of the things we ordered. It was really fresh and came with 6 pieces, enough for us each to have 2. I believe it was a special, so I'm sure the marinades will change, so I look forward to trying it again as they change it up. For my main course I had Birria Taco with Carnitas. This is described as the French Aus Juis of tacos and it was delicious and I will def. be ordering it again. It had queso, onion, and pork consomme and then came with a small pour of "Aus Juis" that you put on top of the taco. The taco itself was like a torta and was crispy and delicious and actually held up really well, even with pouring the delicious liquid on top (I'm not 100% sure what was in it, he explained but I had a few too many delicious drinks). My friend got the Carnita Taco and she wouldn't share it with me (I didn't want to share my meal either, so it was only fair). She is a taco snob and said it was the best carnitas taco shes had. I will be sharing my meals next time so I can try more things on the menu when she orders ;-). During our meal, we had some of the folks from the kitchen come out to bring us our meals and give us some background on the flavors, and we got to learn a little bit about the team behind the restaurant. Everyone was extremely nice and i really hope this place succeeds in such a tough economic climate for restaurants...they are off to a good start as they are consistently busy and the food is worth writing about. read more

It is a very loud atmosphere and packed tightly (COVID anyone?) Bathrooms were filthy. Drinks are weak. Food is okay. I've had great food and horrible food. Inconsistent. (Tommy Margarita - reg Margarita, La Baya - Strawberry Margarita, Sandia Margarita - watermelon Margarita) For food we ordered the chicken nachos, 3 tacos (carnitas, pork belly, and fish), and street corn. Our FAVORITE dish was the chicken nachos, although spicy, it was packed with flavor and different textures. It's the perfect amount for 2 people, not too much and not too little. Of the 3 tacos, our FAVORITE was the fried pork belly. The crunchyness of the pork belly along with pickled cabbage made for an explosion of taste in each bite. Absolutely wish I would have ordered like 5 of these. All the food came out back to back and literally like 5 minutes after we ordered. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go check this place out!! Just had a great meal at Pearl & Lime. it's our 6th time there and it gets better and better every time. The staff is friendly and welcoming everyone seems to genuinely enjoy working there which reflects in their service. Honestly, I've given this place some tries because i honestly saw the potential in it...but everytime i went it got sadder and sadder....the winner was the wings but they took it off the menu. Because of "football" season....first off a real logical person knows wings are for every season...sports is all year round...... But besides that....the chef doesn't have a clear message of what he wants to put on his menu.... The menu is lack luster as well as the taste and flavor.....it feels very amateur and i don't think I'll ever recommend nor go back.....the drinks are cool to look at but lack any alcohol....the waitresses are nice and host are usually friendly as well..... We tried nachos, birria tacos, mussels, corn, cerviche, bone marrow. We both loved the cerviche. Hands down amazing. Super recommend. Had acidity freshness and well bodied fish. Next the mussels were excellent. Really fresh with lime and had a cilantro feel. Octopus was also tasty, tender and amazing texture (not chewy).Birria Tacos? Love the consumme but really thats some awkward sauce holder. I would not recommend the bone marrow (too small and wasnt that tasty comparitively) . I am giving them a very fair, if not generous, score of four stars out of five. This place is right near where I live so I have gone a few different times. Their chips and queso is good. I like their popcorn chicken. I have gotten a few different dishes here and none of them have knocked my socks off. I will say though that I do love their coconut margarita. However, one thing that really bothers me is that the cocktails are not cheap (to be expected), but they also fill the glass completely to the top with ice. You aren't getting much of a drink despite it appearing like the glass is completely full. I have also asked for light on the ice before and they just don't fill the glass all the way. Its frustrating. I would give this place less than four stars but it's a little unfair because I am not a huge fan of Mexican food to begin with and my girlfriend likes the place so they get an additional star out of me. read more

Presentation wise it looks great, but the portions are tiny and what Mexican joint doesn't serve free chips and salsa? Birria tacos lacked meat. That being said though at least the sauce tasted good. I would honestly go to a Mexican food truck (wish they had more of them in Massachusetts for Mexican food) to get birria tacos because they are very generous with potions and very cheap. I know our expectations for a first night out after months of quarantine were probably low, but this place exceeded expectations in all ways, from service to food/drink and everything in between. Our food was incredible, especially the Birria style tacos. Our waitress Debbie was fantastic and was a human encyclopedia of the dinner and drink menu (particularly regarding mezcal, which can be a tough category). I can't stop singing this place's praises and could probably talk about it for a while but I'll just end with this: go here and try something (food or alcohol) that you've never tried before...
