    Pain Killer and Mo Problems
    Katie E.

Such a fun little Mexican spot right in the heart of Quincy! From what I've heard, this is one of the most popular restaurants in the area, and after learning it's from the same team behind nearby Dotty's Kitchen & Raw Bar (formerly the Townshend), it went right to the top of my list of places to visit. I had no trouble getting a res a couple of days in advance, but the place was packed and pretty small, so I imagine you might have a wait without one (especially with a big group). The space is cute and inviting, and all of the servers we interacted with were really great. We heard Pearl & Lime has a great cocktail program, and it didn't disappoint! I went with the Mo Problems margarita (nice balance of spicy with a little sweetness) and they even made an off menu Painkiller for my husband, which he was super excited about. For food, we went with the Chips and Guac, Ceviche, Street Corn, Al Pastor Quesadilla, and Carne Asada, Crispy Pork Belly, and Pulled Chicken tacos. I would order everything again with the exception of the Ceviche - in my opinion it leans on the coconut flavor a bit too much, so it's pretty bland and could use a lil something extra. The Al Pastor Quesadilla would be my #1 recommendation - so tasty and a bit more unique than the other items. I found the pricing reasonable too. Can't wait to come back and explore even more of the menu!

A very decent Mexican restaurant in the area. Food is so delicious with great selection of mixed drinks. We used the InKind App for payments, which comes with some cash back, gift creditors, etc. Service is awesome.

Friendly, welcoming staff, laidback vibe, and fun music playing but not too loud. I started off with a special cocktail (tequila, grapefruit, ginger, lime in a mule glass). The drink was icy, well balanced and strong - perfect. We ordered a few things to share: ceviche which was fresh & delicious (but could use a few more chips), the al pastor quesadilla, sweet potato empanadas & a shrimp and fish taco. Everything was great - and shareable. Just know the tacos are little street tacos - about 3 bites each.

This is a great place to get drink with friends or for date night. I got the chips and queso to start with. It had a little bit of spice which is just how I like it. What I love about this place is the chicken birria tacos. Since I don't eat beef, I have a hard time finding substitutions for birria tacos but the chicken birria tacos are delicious. The chicken is juicy and perfect to dip with the broth. The staff was very friendly and offered up more hot sauces to try.

    Strawberry Margarita and Mojito

Visited Pearl & Lime with my friend on a Friday around 6pm! We were seated fairly quickly but around 6:30pm it got quite busy as it took a while for us to flag down our server for the bill. We started with two drinks; a strawberry margarita and a mojito. The drinks weren't too strong; my friend said you could barely taste the alcohol in the mojito. The strawberry margarita was better than the mojito, but I think if I were to get a drink, I'd get something different. For food, we got tacos (barbacoa, crispy pork belly, and fish), papas bravas, and chicken tinga taquitos. I thought the tacos were on the pricier end since they were a bit smaller than a typical taco. I enjoyed the barbacoa and fish tacos but the meat of the crispy pork belly taco was tough and dry. My favorite was the papas bravas since the potatoes were crispy yet fluffy inside. The Roasted Garlic Aioli drizzled on top paired fantastically with the seasoned potatoes. Overall, Pearl & Lime is a cute local restaurant in Quincy Center to catch up with friends or have a small gathering! I'd come back here if I were already in Quincy Center (since parking can be tough around here). Would recommend giving this place a try!

The staff are exceptional, fun and always knowledgeable about menu offerings. The drinks are second to none and the food is always fresh and served quickly. Overall, this place is a blast.

    Popcorn Chicken - $11 as of 2/2023

Great spot for some delicious Latin food! Parking can be hit or miss so be prepared for that if you're coming during peak dining hours! Items we ordered (as of 2/2023): - Pearl and Lime Nachos - $12 - This was fantastic. Every chip was perfectly coated and the flavor combinations were phenomenal. Perfectly shared between 2 people! I'd get this again 100%. - Popcorn Chicken - $11 - These were perfectly friend and juicy on the inside. Really enjoyed the sauce that came with it. Again, perfectly shared between 2 people! For the tacos (prices are for ONE). - Guisada Taco - $5.25 - Nice beef flavor but nothing too noteworthy. - Crispy Pork Belly - $5.25 - Pork belly was very delicate. A favorite of mine and would get again! - Shrimp Taco - $5.25 - Perfectly fried and also has great flavor. Would also highly recommend this. - Fish Taco - $5.25 - Fish was very delicate and again, the flavors were on point. 100% would recommend. Overall I see why this place is so popular. The food is great and the ambiance is very relaxed. Will definitely be back in the future.

Update: after speaking to the manager about the decorative garnish bowl that sits at the bar ( which patrons, talk, cough and yell over). He agreed it wasn't a good idea to have at the bar to then garnish customers cocktails with. Anyways, I come back for a second visit and the bowl is still there. Your cocktail could be cute and full of Covid. The food came fast but was extremely greasy. The shrimp and fish tacos were hard as a rock. I couldn't . One minute you have a 5 star experience and the next, a 2 star.

Ok for a drinks or an easy dinner. The food is not bad but the seats are a bit too crowded. Servers were friendly.

Thank you, Muqueca, for warming me up…read more Fish with Shrimp Moqueca: Made in the Capixaba recipe, this version replaced red palm oil and coconut milkthem with tomatoes--which happened to be my favorite. The broth was warm, flavorful, and refreshing. The initial notes are the sweetness of onions and bell peppers, followed by the delicate aroma of cilantro, leaving a clean taste impression. The whitefish fillets are tender and flavorful, yet still retain a subtle chewiness. The Pirão sauce, made with the fish broth and tapioca starch, was rich and thick, enhancing both the saltiness and umami, even reminiscent of Cantonese style abalone sauce. The two flavors were distinct yet complementary, a true delight with rice--though fresh, higher-quality Thai jasmine rice would be better. The earthenware pot, bearing the marks of time, kept the food warm; the portion was also very generous, perfect for sharing. I ended up taking some home for a second meal. Flan: Although I was quite full, the deliciousness of the moqueca piqued my interest in trying dessert. The pudding had a smooth and delicate texture, unlike the often sticky flaky texture of supermarket flans. The egg flavor wasn't strong, while the caramel syrup was rich and smooth, with an irresistible initial bitterness followed by a delightful sweetness. Plus, the syrup was generous, making it wonderful to coat every slice of cake in it. No wonder it's their signature dessert. Hot Sauce: The homemade hot sauce was highly recommended by my server. It didn't look very spicy, but it was far beyond my tolerance. However, I must admit it was incredibly delicious, with a refreshing citrus flavor and a smooth, emulsified texture alongside the spiciness, creating a very rich flavor profile. Being unable to handle spice is a real shame in its presence. The server's movements were elegant, the service attentive, the pace comfortable, and he satisfied some of my curiosity as a cuisine lover.

To make things more frustrating, the tables who arrived after us were already being served. About 30 minutes after ordering food, our waiter came by and asked if we wanted anything else, and we said no, we were just waiting on our food. He said okay, but then didn't check on us again for another 30 minutes. When we finally asked about the delay, he responded, "that's why I asked you before," which felt dismissive and confusing, considering he was the one who forgot to put the order in. By the time the food arrived, it was actually really good, but the experience had already been overshadowed by the long wait and lack of communication. Really wanted to love this place.
