So, I checked my insurance coverage on their website before making an appointment. Davis Vision is identified as an insurance company they accept. NOT TRUE. I was there for 1/2 hour before they informed me that, no, they don't take it and that I can pay $40 out of pocket for an exam. Seriously. Do not waste your money here. When we went we were told we would pay around $10 for my mother and $40 for me for copay since I wear contacts however they kept adding an additional fee on top of another and in the end we ended up spending around $200 not including my contact lenses. They make these extra services seem mandatory when in reality it's not, they're your standard machines that you find at any optometrist. They also charge for a contact lense fitting like seriously?? I've been wearing contacts for several years. I assumed I'd get discounted here because of my insurance but it was way more than what I anticipated I'll stick to my good ol' Costco eye appointments where it's a one time fee. Although the staff members were lovely, there was an exception of one or two people that just felt very unwelcoming. On top of that when I went to pick up my contact lenses they only had my left eye ones. Nearly takes 3 weeks to get in. Not coming here again. I got a new pair of glasses and my contacts fitted here for the first time. They convinced me to try contacts and was very attentive and kind about it, which I appreciate. However, I think the prescription process was a little rushed (it was done by an assistant and not the actual doctor), as my vision seemed blurry once I got my contacts, plus it was very uncomfortable. I went back for more advice and to get it refitted and perhaps switch contacts brands, but they wanted an extra $75 to see the doctor again. How ridiculous. But I did it as I felt I had no choice, seeing how it was this place who started me on it. The doctor (she's awesome btw) helped me try out several new brands and redid my prescription and gave me advice and samples, and now I am using Alcon Dailies. A very comfortable contact lens brand BTW. I bought half a years supply from them, which was a BIG MISTAKE! I should have bought them online, much cheaper! Overall, my experience was good but this place was just too expensive for me. My job is very reliant on sharp vision and so I feel like I need a place where I can get my eyes tweaked, instead I've been here several times, paid for each time (out of pocket) and I still have blurry vision with both my glasses and contacts. This is my first experience with pearle vision, I got an eye exam and a new pair of glasses. I'm rating this 4 stars because I wish there was more of a selection and when I showed up to get my glasses they weren't the color frame I picked out. I'm not the type of person to make a big deal out of anything or return items. Mistakes happen, we're only human. I assumed it would be a big hassle to go back and get the ones I wanted ordered. Karen assisted me and was very polite, & understanding! I ended up getting the brown pair instead of black but was happy I was leaving with my new pair of glasses. I told them I've been wearing contacts for 30 years...just give them to me and I'll put them in my eyes...they are always fine. I was there shortly after 9am. They said sorry we accepted our 2 walk-ins for the day. We are full. They didn't seem real keen on having me a customer. It was my day to run errands. I had jeans and a hoodie on, comfortable clothing. Guess some places want you to impress them with you clothing or have the look. Oh well that was fine with me. Went to their competition less than a mile away. They were happy to see me. My insurance paid over 700.00 and I paid over 400.00 out of pocket. Yes I do have the paid in full receipt as proofed that fact. It ain't much but it would of been a sale if they just did a bit more in the area of customer service. Maybe make an attempt? Ask probing questions like when do I need the glasses by or ask me do I have another time available to be seen? Bottom Line if you want great service from friendly staff DO NOT GO to Perl Vision. I will make that known at work and at home. On a positive note at least I can tell friends, family and coworkers about how this bad day turned out great when I went to the Pearl Vision's competition who impressed me with their great customer service. I had a great eye exam where they took the time to answer all my questions. They were also very patient as I looked thru their wide selection of frames to choose from to find the perfect pair for me. I have had a horrible experience in the past with a different eye glass business so I was skeptical going in. The whole experience was great! The staff is very professional and helpful. I don't have vision insurance, but I do have AARP which offered a very good discount! My two pair of glasses took less than a week to arrive. I had an eye exam and got new prescription glasses at around mid December of last year. My experience there as a first time customer didn't really leave me satisfied in terms of patient care and competency. The receptionist at the counter was nice and friendly. After about 30 mins waiting I was called in for an eye test, where I felt uncomfortable and rushed through out the whole procedure. I soon met Dr.Trinidad who was okay in doing her job, but I felt that she didn't really put time in me as I was in for probably 10 mins at the most. Out in the front, I saw their stash of generic glasses and was quite disappointed with their selection. I had a decision of plastic or glass frames to pair with plastic or glass lens. I asked quite a bit of questions to test their knowledge and learn more about their frames and lens in regards to pros and cons, durability, material composition, functionality, and features. The lady who was helping me seem to only have limited knowledge about the products they are selling. She failed to mention that their poly-carbonate lenses have built in UV protection, scratch resistant coating, and shatter resistant which would fit my preference. And well, most of what she could not or vaguely answer is I had to do research for it myself. In the end, I bought plastic frames which I eventually came to hate, and found out that it is the improper size for my head which caused me headaches. They still took my glasses back for an exchange to a metal frame even when its a few days late of their satisfaction guaranty, so I gave them 2 stars for it. read more

First in October 2020 went for eye exams and found out that I have astigmatism (which I've never had in 59 years -I don't have one) then when my husband and my glasses came in BOTH glasses were WRONG & had to be redone! They tried telling me that I just needed to get used to them because it was a stronger RX, I refused to accept that because I've had 2 sets of glasses that never did that, so finally I got someone else to listen to me to get them corrected & I still don't like them! Then then 3 days ago I went in to scheduled a MEDICAL exam & filled out all the info requested on line, again indicating that it was a medical exam & gave my insurance info. So today I go to my appointment and they tell me they don't take my insurance! I asked why the person that scheduled my appt didn't tell me that & the answer was that the scheduler wasn't used to scheduling so then I asked why it wasn't caught when I entered my info on the computer & I was told that I should have gotten a call! They can put mine & my husbands files in the deep freeze storage because WE ARE NEVER GOING BACK! read more

I will never go back, first of all my insurance was suppose to cover most of the exam but it ended up costing me $165. A very young girl did all the testing, I saw a Dr. for a brief 5 minutes and she wrote a prescription for contacts that I can't even see out of. I also had an eye condition that she told me to go to Walgreens for an over the counter eye drops which didn't do a thing. I ended up going to urgent care and then an opthamogist. I am returning to my previous Dr. this next appointment even though he doesn't accept my insurance. I just want to be able to see. What a joke, I can't believe Pearle Bision stays in business. Meh. Went in 2015 for an exam and the staff was OK. Dr was great. Friendly and patient. They gave me a sample of Bausch and Lomb contacts to try out and within hours, my eyeballs were bloodshot red. I called and asked if this was normal and that instead of using the 'only' type of contacts they had available at their office, if I could order my usual ones. The staff wasn't so nice then. They insisted I try using Bausch and Lomb again. Since my prescription changed, I was at their mercy. I said I'd purchase another sample set just to try them again. Same reaction and the way my eyes turned completely red, I immediately took them out. Fast forward when I go back in 2017, some of the same staff is there and I notice as I'm signing in and doing my paperwork, they are showing each other my chart and looking at me. I spent over $150 and that is WITH insurance, yet again because I thought everyone deserves a second chance. I leave with no contacts or no frames because the frames are too expensive given the cost of my exam alone, and I don't like the contacts they have available through their office. I attempt to place an order online using the brand I've had luck with FOR YEARS, and I get a call just now that the company that I purchased my contacts through need to put my order on hold because they can't issue that type/brand of contact isn't on my prescription. I just got off the phone with this office and to be able to use another brand, I can go in there and order contacts (she said), to which I replied "You don't have my brand I use" and she said because I had been there more than 30 days ago, I would have to come in again for another exam which of course would cost more money. They were not ready in seven and I was told they had to be shipped out (what I was told seven days ago) and they would be ready the following week. No apology, no explanation on why they would take another week. I was told the exact same thing I was told when I paid for them. I came back to return a pair of glasses I wasn't happy with. On the pamphlet it says 30 day guarantee & no questions asked for returns, but when I went in the lady kept reassuring me that I shouldn't return it and I should keep it for a few more days and see if I like it with the readjustment. I went in there with the purpose of returning or exchanging the glasses but was pestered to "just keep it for a few more days" and see if I like it. It's already hard enough to return something (hence why they emphasize the "no questions asked" on returns) and I don't like to be too confrontational. I'm 100% sure I told her at least 2 times (possibly 3) that I really just wanted to return them, but I just left with them readjusted because she said I didn't like it because it wasn't adjusted properly. I wanted a new pair without nose pads but she kept insisting that it was just because it wasn't adjusted properly. I honestly just really wanted to return them. It didn't cost that much so I'm not THAT worried, but I hate having to deal with returns like this.. x read more

So beyond mad! I booked my appointment online a month prior and called a few days before my appointment to give them my insurance information. The person who answered the phone said everything was all good and that they would see me at 4:00 on Friday. Friday comes, I have to take time off of work to go to this appointment and as I'm getting in the car to go to my appointment, I see an email from them saying that the person that was going to check out my eyes doesn't accept my insurance. I call back to reschedule and their next availability isn't till the middle of October WHAT A JOKE! First of all, when I called and you took down my insurance information, why the heck wouldn't you check to make sure the provider that I was schedule with accepted it? The receptionist swears "they called me twice and even left a voicemail" the day prior, but that's a lie. I recently needed to purchase a new pair of contacts and was looking for a new doctor in Vegas. My Girlfriend recommended Pearl Vision. What a Great experience!! I booked a reservation online, for whatever reason it didn't submit to the store... no problem for them. They looked up all the necessary insurance information, were very polite, and treated my walk up as a pre existing reservation. On top of that, with my busy work load I was their last reservation of the day and I was still treated as if I were the first one through the door. The assistance were very welcoming, and The Doctor was down to earth and very personable. My initial visit to this location went great. I got in and out quick and received my glasses in a few days. The doctor was very nice and helpful. My second visit was when I went to pick up my glasses. As soon as I walked up to the front desk a woman named sherie rudely asked me to walk away so she could continue a conversation with another customer. I wasn't interrupting their conversation I wasn't in their way at all I was simply standing at the front desk. I was shocked by her attitude and unprofessional demeanor. This was my first experience at this Pearl Vision Center and I would definitely return. The office staff was great, explaining everything in detail and answering any questions I had. When I told them that I would probably be buying my glasses online they were fine with that and did not try to pressure me into purchasing glasses there. Amber and Sherry were very helpful and friendly, going over all the paperwork and pricing. Diego, who administered the preliminary tests, was efficient and professional. I am biased since I have been using this office since it was at the old location. My prescription sunglasses always require extra negotiation with the vendor. I really appreciate their experience and knowledge leaving nothing out in the process. As an endurance athlete outside for hours at high altitude my glasses are crucial. I have had the same doctor for a few years now whom I like so that really helps. She understands my goals. People make the difference and that's the case here. read more
