I had the most magical experience at this bar and restaurant. I came in and sat at the bar and this angel from heaven named Casey swooped in and poured me the most amazing beer, the day drinker. I wasn't sure which of their seemingly endless craft beers to choose, but Casey was at bat and knew her shit when it came to the beers. As I said we settled on the Day Drinker! The food was amazing! We've been to this Pedal Haus several times and have had good experiences every time. Just went on Friday night and the service and food were stellar. Joshua, our server was very attentive without being intrusive. He even let us know 15 min before, that Happy Hour would be ending. This is very rare for a server to let you know and VERY appreciated! We got wings, big pretzel and the fish and chips and beer and wine. The pretzel is SO good!! My husband wants to go just for the wings. The heaters on the patio were great in the chilly evening. Also, the manager stopped by a couple times to make sure everything was ok. This is service that you rarely receive during the pandemic when most places are short staffed. Went to pedal haus for opening night and everything was amazing!! Brought our dog on the patio and it was a nice atmosphere with tons of TVs if you are looking to watch the game. We sat in a booth and had a nice view of the place, I liked the way it was unique and the decorations were cool. Ordered a porter and it was a very good beer! My wife ordered a special margarita (I unfortunately can't remember the name but the waitress recommended it) she said it's one of the best mixed drinks she's had since we've moved to Arizona which was 6 years ago. For food we had a basic appetizer, chips with salsa and guacamole. The salsa and guacamole were good. I ordered a smokehaus chicken sandwich with garlic truffle fries. It was very good! Wife ordered a salad and added grilled chicken, she also very much enjoyed it. The place was busy but not overcrowded and the waitress was very nice and took good care of us. Came to Pedal Haus on a Sunday around 1400 to grab some lunch with friends. Music was loud and could barely hear one another. They were only serving their Brunch Menu so food choices were limited. Asked if we could order things off the lunch menu and they said no. We ordered the cheeseburger, farmhouse omelette, and pretzel. Food was decent at best, but not worth the price. Finally got to check this location out! Very buzzy vibe on a Friday night. Chloe was my server and she did a great job! She recommended some great beers to me (they even have beer to-go!). I stuck with the IPAs for my beer. In my opinion, the West Coast IPA is perfect. Super smooth and tastes great. Not overly hoppy, just very crisp and smooth. I also tried the White Rabbit. I typically don't order hazy IPA's but wanted to try it. Not bad, but I prefer the original IPA. Honestly, the cocktails on the menu sounded really nice, but when you visit a microbrewery you have to try the beer! For bar grub, you won't go wrong with the nachos and chicken wings. Those looking for something more substantial would be happy with any of the few burgers on the menu. It seems that they will soon offer pizza, too! I ate the green chile burger. The bun was soft and the quality of the meat was great. I chose the truffle fries as my side and they were excellent. If you get the burger, I would strongly advise getting the truffle fries. Some diners at a nearby table ordered the Bavarian Pretzel which looked incredible! I will definitely try that on my next visit. The other thing I want to try is a "bottomless breakfast" they offer on weekend mornings. It costs $12 and you can eat as many eggs/slices of bacon/hashbrowns as you want. Mimosas cost $4. Sounds like a perfect brunch deal. The design of the restaurant is also very cool. The restaurant itself offers different seating configurations - diners may choose to sit at the bar area and watch as their beer gets poured masterfully into a glass or in the longer tables (which are suitable for bigger groups). I had a table that gave me a perfect view of the TVs so I could watch the Phoenix Suns game during dinner. I heard they are planning to open a rooftop bar soon. That should be a cool option as well. While I can't say for certain whether Pedal Haus is downtown Phoenix's best place to grab a pint, it is definitely amongst some of the most impressive pubs that I have been to! #craftbeer read more
