First time here earlier this month. It is southeast of Traverse City and located in close proximity to half a dozen lakes. A little dark on the inside. We sat outside on a new deck and a local musician was just setting up. Had some pot stickers and wings for apps and ordered a couple of pies to go. I found this place by searching for deals on restaurant.com and this was 1 of 2 restaurants on there in the Traverse City area. The menu seemed to have a wide variety so I decided to buy it & see what happens. We walked in with 2 people sitting at the bar and nobody behind the bar. The sign said seat yourself so we did. About 10 min later I decided to walk up to the bar to get menus. The girl working was very apologetic and said she didn't even know we were there. They apparently use Northwoods cola instead of coke or pepsi. I couldn't drink it, the taste was just off to me and our server was kind enough to swap it out for their version of sprite. I was very thankful! They seem to have a little bit of everything on the menu - salads to burritos to sandwiches and more. I decided to try the nachos & got the full order because it was only $1 more than the half. It was seriously huge. I got 2 meals out of it with some left over! My friend had a chicken wrap that she said was pretty good and then we got the fried Reese's PB cup because we had to meet a specific dollar amt for the coupon. That was an interesting dessert for sure, worth a try. We didn't even touch the ice cream that came with it because we were so full. Took my mom out here last night. We've been here before but we were very displeased with the service and food this time. I believe there was one waitress for the entire place, which due to covid was 'full' with 7 tables occupied. She was stressed and the food. We both ordered wings, she got Asian and I asked for the Asian sauce on the side. The sauce was nothing but brown oil. Didn't even smell Asian. My moms wings were just meat and oil. Kindly let the waitress know this sauce was nothing but oil. Waitress didn't do a thing about it except tell us they buy it and yelled at the guy in the back. The food is good, not great. The menu is varied; they have a little bit of everything. It is an old Northern Michigan bar, that is the ambiance. If you are expecting something else you will be disappointed. My main complaint is the service. I have never had great service at Peegeo's. When we have not been seated, when seat yourself sign is up, you will sit and wait, and wait, and wait for a server. Many times the server never comes back to check on the food or drinks. It is not uncommon to have to try to flag down your server if you need something. Sometimes you can successfully flag them down sometimes you can't. We stopped here for lunch on a Friday at noon while waiting for check-in at our nearby rental cabin on Spider Lake. Before even stepping into the establishment, we couldn't help but comment on the number of vehicles in the parking lot for a Friday afternoon. The potions were good-sized, and the chicken breast was very juicy with a flavorful charring on it. The fries were pretty average-- crispy, chunky, good with ketchup. The fries were certainly delicious, but nothing earth shattering. The philly chicken sandwich was definitely the star of the show. Saturday night at our cabin we chose to order pizza in. Called around 3:30 pm to place our order and was told they didn't begin delivery until 5:00. Not a huge deal as we were just having a movie night. We wanted to try something outside of our norm, so we took a chance on the Mac Daddy pizza. Definitely an interesting concept with mac and cheese, barbecue sauce, and potatoes chips on top. Overall, it was just so-so. Wish it had a little more barbecue sauce on it as the bites without any were somewhat lackluster. Also, the potato chips were more annoying than anything since they fell off every time you tried to pick up the pizza to take a bite. We also felt it was a missed opportunity that they used basic, store-bought chips rather than their house made chips. Even though I didn't love the mac daddy pizza, I would definitely order pizza from them again as the crust was phenomenal, and I think a more conventional specialty pizza from them would be superb. read more

Went here while on vacation with the family of 5. Doesn't look like much from the outside and the inside was clean but didn't look much better. Pizza was excellent! We ordered two pizza's, The Mike's Sicilian and a Windy City. Both pizza's exactly what the menu described. A table close to us ordered subs and the portions were a good size. I order a deluxe pizza on Sunday (17 May 2020) with no green peppers. It was great! I had it delivered to my home and I tip the driver in cash. Big Mistake!!! Then I check my bank account and they charged my account another tip charge. Even though it was $4.00. It is making me reconsider in ever going back to Peegeos.
