Friendly. I should have gotten her name! Previously they were okay but not so nice.

Nice neighborhood Peet's Coffee. I usually order Americano or iced tea, but lately I tried the Golden Caffee Latte and that tastes so amazing. They have inside and outside sitting. Nice when the weather is good. Mostly friendly service.

Average wait time for a drink is 20 mins. I try to avoid this Peet's for many reasons and the wait time is definitely a factor as to why I no longer go this Peet's. Go to Starbucks or Laurel Village Peet's.

    The Black Tie

Came by on a Thursday 30 minutes before closing. There were still people in there doing work and grabbing last minute coffee. I got the black tie. There was too much condensed milk considering the amount of coffee there was. It was too sweet. Drinking the coffee itself was fine. If I were to get it the next time, I would ask for less condensed milk. There is a longer wait since they're close to closing. I love that they have happy hour right now and that it lasts so long throughout the day because I can try different drinks without spending too much money. Take advantage of it while it's still happening.

Infamous water-hoarding barista/staff at Peet's - tell me again how you condone atrocious behaviour AND get paid to do it?!

Graham, this one's for you if you're still working here. What an atrocious human being. I intended to write this and reach out to Peet's in the summer and dang, mom brain. As a loyal Peet's customer for DECADES, I'm extremely saddened and disgusted by an experience I had in June here. Drove out to the bay to spend a nice day with my son. Returning from the beach, I swung by Peet's for some water. I'd ordered coffee earlier from another location off 80, but swung by just for water because my son was parched and not feeling well. I came in and walked up - graham may have said something I didn't hear as I was walking in and finishing a text. When I looked up and was up front, he ignored me. Just stood there looking down. After about a minute, I said hi, wanted to see if I could bother you for a cup of iced water. He acted super snobby, turned around after a moment and just started working something else, then slowly meandered over to work on my water apparently. He called over and said they've got no ice- I said in surprise, really no ice? Apparently he took that the wrong way, and became very rude. I'm like I can wait if you need to refill it, I just need some cold water for my kiddo (it was a super hot day). He made a comment saying something like you know what, if you don't want the water without ice then you can just go get it elsewhere. I just stood there confused. He began doing something else, unwavering and unabashed. I grit my teeth, not wanting to pursue whatever this was at that point with Mr. Rude, smiled, went over to the pick-up counter and waited for the other staff member to come up and assist. The other guy was hovered close to the ground pretending to do something for several minutes. I finally tried to get his attn, said escuse me, could you please get me a cup of iced water, I'm happy to pay if I need. Lmao - the guy continued intentionally ignoring me, seemed either too bewildered to help or afraid of Graham or on his side, who knows. He finally looked up at Graham then me - Graham looked over at the other guy and says nope, don't give her a water! Like what in the flying cows nonsense is this?! I should mention there were other customers seated in the shop. I jwas mortified, said wow and walked out after snapping a pic of him for his name. What words can you have for an event like this? Bad day? Listen I understand ppl go through stuff, have issues, have bad days, but to openly and intentionally disrespect, humiliate, and refuse service to a customer is just beyond me. Majority of Peet's locations I've been to are great. My local Peet's shops - 3 I've frequented for years, have happy, respectful, helpful staff and baristas. The June experience at this location with Graham had me in total shock. How the hell do these folks get hired? How do they stay on? This was beyond out of line on so many levels. Peet's- you should address this.

Had to ask for light splash of cream twice. Barista comes back and says this is heavy cream.... At that point he had 5 people in line and I was like forget it... waste of $5

They used a strawberry cream top instead of a puree, which I actually enjoyed. It added a nice creaminess to the drink, and the matcha was very smooth and strong. It worked well together. I also tried their double hojicha, and while I enjoyed how nutty and strong the hojicha was, I did find it a little bit grainy. I wish it was a little smoother like the matcha was. I usually don't drink/like coffee, but the guava cold brew sounded so interesting I couldn't resist. The fruity jasmine tea somehow paired so well with the coffee and made it a nice refreshing drink. I was also lucky enough to try the matcha crepe cake, which I believe they get from Lady M. It had really nice layers and was light, but unfortunately it was a little too sweet for me. Overall a very solid matcha/coffee option in SF. They have a beautiful interior too, perfect for catching up with friends. Servers were sweet as well!

They explained that the flight includes an espresso shot, espresso shot with milk, hot coffee, and iced coffee. Like the majority of SF, parking is difficult to locate. I was dropped off nearby the location. There is indoor and outdoor seating; I was able to grab an empty spot late in the morning on a weekend, but I don't think seating is always readily available. It's not a huge space.

At 11 am on a Sunday they were out of their best- black sesame Kouign Amann and the Raspberry Almond Croissant, which I took care of by paying a visit to Juniper bakery (sister business) later in the day. The Mocha with the house made nut milk fell flat. It needed something. I am not a fan of syrupy coffees and appreciate the more purist approach but this one just didn't do anything for me. The chai latte which I would never order was actually the best chai latte I have ever had, it was smooth like silk. Maybe I just had the wrong coffee order. Besides that, got the hot chocolate and the coffee tasting. I was surprised there was no explanation provided with the coffee- I figured it's all Honduran but an overview of some sort would have helped. I enjoyed all the coffees in there except the latte. Will visit again, earlier in the day so they are not out of their best sellers and try a different order.

If you want to hang out with people, I highly suggest going to the Irving or Broadway locations. My usual is their iced uji matcha with 50% sweetness and it always hits the spot. I've had their matcha cream and ube matcha lattes too which are very good. The matcha tastes very nice and the drink itself is smoothe. It's a solid matcha spot. I like that you have the option to order in person, in store kiosk, online, and by their app. Service is very clean cut of just ordering and getting your drinks. Kiss of Matcha is a dessert café centered around matcha-based drinks and Japanese-inspired sweets…read more We walked into a cozy, compact space with a focus on matcha flavors, offering everything from soft serve and parfaits to lattes, hojicha drinks, and small desserts. The concept works well for anyone looking for a place that treats matcha as the main ingredient rather than just adding it as a trendy flavor, and the energy of the shop stays calm and inviting, making it a good spot for a focused dessert stop. The biggest highlight is the matcha soft serve, which has a stronger tea flavor compared to many sweeter matcha desserts. We ordered a cup and found the flavor leaning slightly earthy and bitter, giving it a more authentic matcha profile while still staying creamy and approachable. The Kiss of Matcha Parfait is another standout, combining different textures with matcha, toppings, and dessert elements that make it feel more complete than a simple scoop. The layers of the parfait were well composed, with the matcha soft serve, mochi, and crunchy elements coming together in a way that kept each bite interesting. The hojicha options are also worth trying if you prefer a roasted tea flavor that is smoother and less intense, and the hojicha soft serve offered a warm, toasted note that contrasted nicely with the brighter matcha. The menu has a nice mix of drinks and desserts, with items like croffles, mochi, and dango adding more variety beyond the usual matcha latte. The croffle is a good pairing with the drinks since the crisp texture works well with the richer flavors, and we found it held up well against the cream and toppings. There are also non-matcha options like vanilla soft serve, which makes it easier to visit with a group where everyone has different preferences, and the variety across the menu gives you room to explore beyond the matcha offerings. The space is smaller, so it feels more like a quick dessert stop rather than a place to spend hours. Seating is limited, but the cozy decoration and outdoor seating options make it a comfortable spot to enjoy your order when space is available. The indoor area is thoughtfully arranged, and the outdoor seating adds a nice option for warmer days. Service can vary depending on how busy it gets, but the overall experience is centered more around the quality of the desserts, and the staff are friendly and efficient when handling the flow of orders. Kiss of Matcha is a strong choice for matcha lovers looking for desserts with a deeper tea flavor. The combination of quality matcha, creative dessert options, and a cozy atmosphere makes it a spot worth returning to, especially if you enjoy trying different matcha creations. The balance of authentic flavors, thoughtful presentation, and a relaxed environment makes it a destination for a more intentional matcha experience.

I have gone to Blackbird a handful of times and have enjoyed the experience each time. Blackbird is primarily a bookstore, but they do have an outdoor window where you can order drinks ranging from matcha (Rocky's Matcha, if you're curious about which brand they use), lattes, and tea. They also carry a good amount of pastries (even mid-day, they have a lot of goodies), which I really appreciated. When you order your drink, you have to enter inside the bookstore to wait for your drink to be called, but you can take the time to stroll around and look at their book selection and trinkets. Heads up: the seating here is limited but very lovely. Inside, there are a couple of community tables, but their outdoor area is absolutely magical, with lush greenery and benches for you to enjoy your drinks. This time around, I got one of their seasonal drinks, a honey lavender vanilla latte, and I paired it with an Earl Grey olive oil loaf. We walked into a cozy and relaxed space with a cute interior and a surprisingly nice back patio area that makes it feel like a hidden escape from the busier streets outside. The layout is comfortable and inviting, with plenty of seating that works well for catching up with friends, taking a break, or spending some time with a drink and dessert. The patio is probably the best place to sit when the weather is nice, offering a quieter, more open feel than the main indoor area. The main highlight is the crepe cakes. We ordered a few slices and found the layers thin, delicate, and stacked with enough cream to make each bite feel rich without being too heavy. The variety of flavors is where Sweet Glory stands out, with options like matcha, ube, pandan, earl grey, durian, and tiramisu giving the menu a more unique direction compared to traditional cake shops. The matcha crepe cake had a clean, earthy flavor that balanced well with the cream, and the ube version offered a sweeter, more dessert-forward profile. The Asian-inspired flavors are what make the café feel distinct, especially for anyone looking for desserts that feel familiar but still creative. The drinks are also worth pairing with the cakes. We tried a matcha latte and a hojicha tea, both of which complemented the desserts well and felt thoughtfully prepared. The matcha was smooth and balanced, and the hojicha had a deep, roasted flavor that paired naturally with the sweeter crepe cakes. The menu has enough variety for both coffee and tea drinkers, and the combination of a slice of crepe cake with a warm tea or iced drink makes the experience feel more like a café visit rather than just a dessert stop. Service is straightforward with counter ordering, and the overall vibe feels casual and welcoming. The staff are friendly and patient, and the pace of the visit stays relaxed even when the café gets busy. The space has good music and a comfortable layout that works well for relaxing or getting some work done, and the back patio adds another layer to the experience that makes the visit feel more complete.
