Rachel is the best ! Customer service top notch. She's soooo nice and friendly and helpful. There is literally no one friendlier than her. Please promote her. VERY detailed oriented... she's the definition of customer first. I can tell she really loves her job. Her service is not rude AT ALL. She really knows how to connect with the customer and she treats ALL people the same. I hope corporate reads this so they can give her the accolades she deserves. If you ask her a question or give her your order , she may even speed you up if you don't respond fast enough or if you have questions about the menu. No time to waste ! I'm still annoyed at the manager who made the barista dump out a drink in the middle of a rush for absolutely no reason. It literally made what should have been a quick exchange into a whole ordeal and my drink took twice as long to obtain. This location used to be my coffee spot for a while since the location has a parking lot and close to my work. There's also an app that lets you gain rewards and order ahead - so that's always helpful when you just want to get in and out. This place can get pretty busy and because of the location (next to DMV and under some apartments/condos) there's always people chillin at the tables outside. It's pretty lively and nice atmosphere but I wouldn't recommend for someone needing a place to get some work done or study. The staff here are so friendly. They also make the drinks consistently well. Which why I love coming here. The other coffee spot started getting more and more expensive so I decided to come back to Peet's. I'm glad I did because their lattes here are really good. I love getting a triple shot of espresso in my drinks which can usually run up a bill but when you order a large size, it comes with 3 shots already so I save a little bit that way without having to sacrifice taste. I redownloaded the Peet's app which I highly recommend so that you can gain rewards - which can lead to a free drink. You can also conveniently order ahead. You can also customize the drink a lot more in the app without being embarrassed at how extra you get with your drink. Lol! It's awesome! Drinks I like are: Lattes w/oat milk, Havana Cappuccino (espresso, condensed milk, and cinnamon), and their Frappes here are also perfect on a hot day. read more

After my last review it seems that I've wasted a lot of money on coffee's that are not made right, take a look at this iced coffee and how completely white it is filled with milk, you would think the people that work at Pete's drink coffee too and would know that that's way too much to put in, especially when I asked for just a splash. Everyone knows that I'm not a morning person and have a terrible attitude without my morning cup of coffee. It was 8am in the morning and I wanted my coffee pronto before heading over to the DMV. No one likes the DMV ... The guy at the register ... Poor guy. I guess he was newbie. I believe his manager was training him and she wasn't happy how he was working the register. He basically had 2 females (me and the manager) glaring at him to get his job done correctly! Finally, he was able to ring me up so I can go on my merry way and get my coffee. I have never had this kind of service at Peets so I was surprised, I was unhappy with the service here. However, the barista made it up to me by drawing me a latte art on my vanilla latte. I'm pretty much a sucker for anything cute & sweet. I'm still docking off a star because of the newbie ... P.S. So you've survived another trip to the DMV--you definitely deserve a delicious Peet's pumpkin latte, right? (And PS, is the DMV still completely out of pens? It's things like that that turn an already tense place into an outright war zone). One block over from Baker (and one Peet's shy of a baker's dozen for me) is this little place located in "Falletti Plaza", a green-and-grey shingled MUC that probably invites scorn from the hipst-architect crowd, but, as bland modern developments go, I actually kind of like it (reminds me of Seattle). Of course, being attached to Falletti Foods, this Peet's almost qualifies as a "licensed" location (you know, the "mind-numbingly dull kiosks" that even the Starbucks guy won't deign to visit). But I guess since they have their own entrance and their own room we can count it as a "real" Peet's (besides, Peet's != Starbucks && Falletti != Safeway). Still, there's no indoor seating, just some patio tables off the parking lot (which at least is cuter than the parking lot at the Potrero Center Peet's). read more

This is a pretty clutch neighborhood spot. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but when I'm in need of that caffeine kick I'm more happy to come here, as I've had nothing but positive experiences. This is a place that's filled with highly energetic and friendly staff, and the customer service is usually excellent. Almost TOO good. When I come in I'm usually asked literally every person on shift if I've been helped yet - and I assure them that yes, someone has taken my order. Honestly the last time I think the cashier told me to have a good day like five or six times when I was there - these people are just overly nice, if that's possible. The one time I needed a recommendation they suggested me some crazy concoction that ended up being surprisingly good. Probably was super unhealthy, but whatever -- it did the trick. They've seemingly got a fantastic selection of food for a coffee shop too, so I'm definitely a fan for that reason, especially as I'm always underwhelmed by the stuff Starbucks has to offer. Coffee shops have to blow me away to get 5 stars, however, so it's not quite there. But it does come pretty close. read more

So I came into today after accidentally mobile ordering to the wrong location and not having the time to go get it from the location I actually order from I ended up having to order in person from this location. I order a medium maple latte with half and half substitute for milk. I get my drink and honestly it tasted absolutely foul. Never have I had this issue before considering the half and half makes it's taste extra creamy. But the espresso left a had taste. Also when I ordered instead of handing me back the change the barista put it on the counter for me to pick up. I just felt this weird sense of judgement. I think because I first walked in and came in to check the name of the drink on the mobile order pick up section. I put some more packets of brown sugar to help mask this horrible flavor. But not only did I end up paying twice but I three out my drink as it was disgusting. I give them two stars because I received a drink at all but they need to be trained on espressos expiring time. The staff here is exceptional, especially the Tom and Tahhhhm. They take ownership of the customer service which is hard to find in a national chain. The magic is gone. If you like the movie "Baghdad Café" you will understand what that phrase means. Peet's coffee is always a good product so even if it's not served by nice people it's still a delicious cup of coffee and deserves three stars however, the man who used to greet everybody with "hello friend" is gone and he has been replaced by a couple of passive aggressive counter people. I would be lying if I told you that I'll never go there again because I will go there because the coffee is good. But will I keep going faithfully to that location? No, I will not. I will cruise over to the Castro Peet's and work through the grit of the streets to get my joe from the super fab crew there. Yes I am more likely to slip in vomit as I'm entering the door or get a needle stick if I sit on the bench outside without looking before I plop, but nobody will be mean to me if I make it inside. This has been my favorite Peet's in the city for years. I have been a loyal customer for almost a couple decades. Lately the staff has been messing up the food orders, in particular and then being extremely nonchalant about their mistakes. The manager yesterday did not seem to give a good damn about it either. Meanwhile getting through to corporate is not a walk in the park either. Taking to them is the only way to get my account refunded and it's been a waste of my time when I never received what I ordered. The service was far better during the reopening after Covid. This Peets location has been my savior on many occasions. Its clean, there's always parking (UNLIKE the one at Laurel Village) and they make my drinks consistently delicious every time. Its super convenient because its inside Faletti, so I'm always picking up other random groceries I need while I wait for my coffee to be prepared. I can't express enough how much I love Peet's coffee and nobody foams a soy latte as good as they do. I come here every morning for my soy vanilla latte and it starts my day off perfectly. I also love sitting outside with my dog while enjoying my coffee. Things to keep in mind are that it is a small location with no seating inside and in the mornings the line can get pretty long, although it moves pretty fast. Also, the bathroom is located inside Faletti's you just have to ask the people at Peet's for the code. Lastly, most of the people working at Peet's pretty awesome and remember your drink if you are a regular like me. read more

This Peet's deserves some respect for getting the job done, in a no-frills, early morning kinda way. It's become my Friday morning spot, as I have standing 8:30 appointment in Berkeley, and their location makes it possible to be slightly caffeinated as I get on the Bay Bridge, and fully awake by Treasure Island. Some other coffee joints seem to think of themselves as "providers" in a weird BD/SM way, holding out pleasure and torturing you with really, slow tedious service. Seriously, I see a lot of really educated folks slanging coffee in SF early in the morning, and I think they derive some sick pleasure from watching the throngs wait to get their fix. So Faletti's is my everyday grocery store because it's convenient and has good variety when it comes to produce and meats. I've pass the Peet's inside Faletti's for months and have never even thought of stopping by for a quick hot cocoa or tea. I've gotten into the habit of driving to work and stopping at the Starbucks close to work. But why? Peet's never has a line (when I've been there), and their customer service has been just as good, if not better than Starbucks. I didn't even know I could pick between 2%, 1%, or fat-free milk for my cocoa until Peet's! And I have to say that their blueberry muffins are MUCH better than the ones at Starbucks. The newest Peet's is located inside Faletti's Market as well as right across the street from the DMV and you can't beat that for convenience. Many smaller coffee-shop owners around the neighborring areas are not happy with the addition of the newest Peet's, but Faletti's is a big corporation and can afford it. Matt had his usual Medium $1.75 drip coffee and $2.15 Almond Croissant and the kids each ordered a small $1.75 hot-cocoa. With Delessio Market inside the Market, the kids were smart and decided to get their breakfast from there instead of Peet's. read more

The newest Peet's location, opened it's doors on Friday Nov 3, 2006. My wife, 14month old son, and chocolate lab trekked down there on the day it finally opened. In the week that it has been open, it has worked out some small kinks (unable to use your Peet's card, etc), and is now starting to hit its stride. You can enter from a covered patio (for those misty SF mornings), or you can enter from inside the Falletti's market. Combine that with some fine food from DeLessio's, and I think it's possible that you'd never have to leave. :) My only worry is that once this location becomes too popular, the lines will be literally out the door, because there just isn't that much real estate inside the store. read more

Ordered Peet's Coffee's Matcha Latte and had a fantastic experience. Their matcha has a slightly bitter taste, which I personally prefer, especially since I like to add honey to my matcha. Also, the small size is actually extremely large. It's also at a great location in San Francisco, and we had terrific seating near the port and by the bread display that is filled with alligator-shaped bread and other animal inspired bread shapes. read more

Update: They turned the condiment station 90 degrees. Funny but it's the only thing to do - and the floor plan is still not very dynamic. Also, there has been some staff turnover and the drink quality dipped. Lots of lattes that were too damn hot! I order extra foam and by the time you can drink the latte, the foam has all died. Stupid. I did learn, -after my 4th too-hot latte and subsequent complaint/investigation, - that they have a button on the registers for "warm" request. So I tried that but it's not ideal. I think I was just very unlucky with the hot drinks - lately they've been fine. --------------------------------------------------------- It's hard for a new place to have charisma. This place still seems like a tenant that might leave if it doesn't make enough money. That's why I encourage you to go! It's my neighborhood Peet's! Most of the Baristas are great. The folks at this Peet's in particular are superstars. I know most of their faces, and they know most of the faces of the people they serve, because it is just that kind of neighborhood joint. Much love to them. What adds to the neighborhood vibe is that it is teensy weensy, standing-room-only.
